Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Waited 40 minutes for food, eggs were undercooked, toast was burnt, and hash browns were rushed out because of the huge wait time. Won't be going back

Another try at the same location. Haven't been here in years and thought the name change might mean good things. The dining room was busy and there were only two waitstaff. We looked around and saw a lot of tables just sitting there without food. Ordered right away but we waited and waited.....and waited. All in all the lunch trip was easily an hour and a half. The food we ordered was directly off the specials board so one would think we'd be ready to go. The dishes were mediocre at best. Salad was not as ordered and the hot turkey was bland and lukewarm. It was very disappointing because each bill was around $10-$13 minus tip. Not worth it at all. I would be seriously concerned about the GM crowd backing out of this place because you can't spend almost a quarter of your work day here....waiting.

Had to ask for waters, then had to ask for silverware. Ordered appetizers...had to ask for small plates to pass around. However, service was quick and friendly. Food was "acceptable". No wow factor but certainly not disappointed.

There were only a few tables with diners when we walked in on a Sunday morning. We waited at the hostess stand to be seated. We waited. And waited some more. Finally saw someone, but that person was busy standing behind the counter putting ketchup on his hash browns and eating them. We walked out. Have no idea how the food is or could have been.

In town for business. Stopped for breakfast two times while on my trip and really enjoyed the protein omelet. The decor is simple and clean. Service fast and friendly. If you're in Milford for any reason looking for a clean restaurant to have a meal.... checkout the applewood grill.

I've tried to like Applewood but I just can't. Breakfast today was it. They had Oreo pancakes on special which sounds gross but it caught the eye of my 8 year old. I asked if the could substitute these into a kids meal(up charge ok) and they refused. Now how many adults want Oreo pancakes. They finally did it but felt like I was stealing something. They already have overpriced breakfast as it is and then you add this service. I'll pass. I suspect you will suffer the same outcome as the other restaurants that have occupied this space.

I think the hours are skewed on here. I live in Milford and drive past Applewood every morning. I have NEVER seen it open at 7:00am or even 7:30 most mornings. The hours are not listed anywhere on the doors either. If you're heading for breakfast, better try closer to 8:00 when they are usually open. The food is okay, they use a TON of tzatziki sauce on their gyro's, so I would recommend getting it on the side or requesting they take it easy. Also, they seem to change their fries every few weeks, not sure why. The chicken fingers have been over-cooked a few times that I've been there. The wait staff is good, some girls are less attentive than others. Every time we go, we sit in Chloe's section if she's working. She's fantastic! Excellent server, very attentive, great attitude every time I've seen her.

Menu is impressive but the food is kinda bland. The food would be great with homemade sauces or dressings. Choices of different gourmet teas or coffee would really perk things up. Also maybe add some fresh baked goods and fruit that are included with meal. The restaurant needs an entrée that is out of this world! It needs to be known for something that most restaurants Don't have. Maybe less on the menu and more excitement in the taste. Bring customers in with something that you offer that they really enjoyed and can't forget. Gourmet it up!

Service was so, so, so very slow when my three golfing friends and I were there. Our lunch took an hour and a half, at 12:30pm on July 3rd when the restaurant was absolutely empty. We were either the only party or one of two parties at the restaurant. It took 45 minutes from ordering for our food to get to our table (an order of pancakes, two waffles, and a chicken wrap!), then another 30 minutes for the waitress to come over to ask if our food was okay. Even if it wasn't, we were there for too long and we were anxious to leave so we asked for our checks. Food was, indeed, okay, and we were really hungry after a round of golf so everything tasted fine. I wish that this meal didn't take almost as long as 9 holes.

This is not your typical chain Restaurant, more like family owned restaurant serving homemade goodness! Nice atmosphere with plenty of TV's around to watch sports games. The food here is consistently great! Plenty of options to choose from and the portion sizes are humongous!! The Shirazi salad and the Gyro are a must for anyone coming here. They've become my absolute favorites...forever.

The protein wrap was yummy! The service was good too. I was actually surprised how fast our food came. The applewood gyro is good too according to my bf. I would come back for sure! I checked in and got 20% off too. Not bad. Good food, fast service and a nice discount. No complaints here.

Decided to give this place a try with a couple friends. The service was great. Server was friendly and came around to check on us often. As for the food, I had the stuffed cabbage and vegetable soup. Both were fresh and tasty! One of my friends got a Irish cheesecake (I think that's the name of it). I took a bite and oh my was it good!! Too bad I am on a diet, otherwise I would have gotten a whole cake for myself. Highly recommended.

Great diner, great Price. As an alternative to the seemingly endless Coney Island restaurants that populate the metropolitan Detroit area, Applewood Grill offers a good menu of tasty products at a fair price. The wait staff seems happy and energetic and the food is tasty. Look out, Big Boy!

I believe my initial review was based on the startup problems transitioning from Honey Tree to Applewood. We have been back many times this past year without the problems with slow food delivery.

One of the best local joints in the area. My family and I have eaten here a few times now and all of us love it. Everything seems to be homemade, right down to the potato chips. The gyros are some of the best I've had and my wife says the same about their chicken noodle soup. My daughter loves the huge plate of awesome chocolate chip pancakes that have become her go-to meal any time of the day. The only thing I can't figure out is why this place isn't busier. It is the sort of place that should always be busy but there are rarely more than a few diners at a time. That's disappointing because it is a perfect place for a town like Milford.

At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
