Village BBQ and Pizza

Our 1st time visiting village pizza and bbq wil definitely be back. Order pizza and broasted chicken and enjoyed it outside on the patio.
Came with two friends after we spent the day at the Milford Memories Arts and Crafts Fair.... It's a neat little restaurant. It's basically a pizza place, but they offer sandwiches/subs, calzones, broasted chicken, pasta, salads and appetizers (of the fried kind). It's a fun place to visit in the summer. While there isn't much indoor seating (at all), the covered patio makes for a nice place to take a break and get something to eat! All three of us were extremely happy with our selections. We ended up getting a chicken Parmesan calzone, ham and cheese sub, and broasted chicken breast, and Greek salad. I ended up with the ham and cheese sub and it was delicious. I can't say enough about the bread of the sub. It was the freshest bread I've ever had. I don't make it up to Milford all that often, but I would be sure to stop again if I were visiting this quaint town!
Been here twice, chicken, potatoes, cole slaw, bread sticks and shrimp are all great! Can't wait to try the pizza and ribs! I will be back!! Great portions for the price :)

Dimitri’s Coney Island

620 Highland Ave
Milford, 48381
Reviews:
Have been coming here recently as we moved to Milford area and it is everything good you would expect from a local Coney Island diner. Service is top notch and the meals I have tried has been great. You trust it has a good reputation when u see a wide mix of clientele---elderly, young families , and teenagers.
I don't always eat breakfast, but when I do, I try to do it at Dimitri's. The cooks are total experts. Hash browns are just the right kind of crispy, "no green peppers" is respected, and their sausage gravy is the most flavorful I've had anywhere. What's keeping this from five stars: The coffee is horrendous, and almost all of the seating is booths or the bar. I really prefer tables and chairs.
Dimitri's used to be my favorite place in Milford to get breakfast, however, in recent years I feel it has deteriorated a little bit. About 5 years ago I would have given it a solid 4 stars no problem, but these days I'd say the service as well as the taste of the food has gone down a little bit. For breakfast, everything from made with batter is pretty tasty (pancakes, waffles etc), but it's pretty hard to screw that kind of thing up. I don't really eat eggs, so I can't say much about omelettes. I'd request your bacon well done, otherwise it is usually really chewy. If you're there for lunch, I'd recommend the chicken fingers pita! It's amazing! Just make sure they go light on the mayo, otherwise it can be a little bit on the overkill side. They also tend to have pretty darn good milk shakes :). If you're going for a coney island, I'd aim for Leo's in Milford.

Went to Red Dog Saloon on 19 March, 2010 to eat and see our favorite band, Free Beer. The service was excellent, but the seating area was pretty cramped. Way too much smoke (until May 1st anyway), and a failed house sound system were negatives. The crowd was a bit "eclectic", but what the heck! The food was O.K., nothing special, and costs were a bit higher than I would have liked. I might go back, but there would need to be some incentive (coupons, etc.).
My favorite place to spend a Friday. Incredible staff and the best bar food in Metro Detroit!
been going to red dog for years before the move from downtown Milford. always busy and good food. although its listed as a dive, I wouldn't rate it as such. good bands on the weekends, with moderately priced drinks keeps us coming back

Overpriced for what you get, but the food isn't bad :)
I am a big fan of The Bar. The menu is small, but that is a good thing - everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. You can get an amazing burger, a good steak... I have never had a bad meal here, and if you go often enough they might make you something off-menu, like fried pickles. These with the dipping sauces for the bar frites are a good match. They mix a good drink, too, and they have some interesting beer choices. The atmosphere is nice. It's clean and cozy. Whether you live in Milford or you are just passing through this is worth a check-in. Just be careful not to pass it. It is easy to miss...

Starbucks

One of the best Starbucks around! The staff are all very friendly and quick, I've never had a problem with my order and I come here at least twice a week.
This is my favorite Starbucks anywhere. The people are all really friendly and genuine. The drinks are always perfectly prepared and if something is off, just tell them and they'll fix it right away. They are fast without making you feel rushed and always have a kind word for you. Love you guys!
Over the past year, it seems that this location has really improved all around. The employees are on the ball, and it's been months since I've had a problem with an order. So, big improvement there. Now that Tequilarita's is gone and the Village appears to be interested in enforcing the meters, parking seems to be much easier, too. Another plus (well, maybe not for Tequilarita's). Inside, the quotient of obnoxious office-less workers seems to be much lower than a typical Starbucks -- or, they're just more considerate about hoarding outlets, barking on conference calls, and scowling. I'll say "contrary to what another reviewer is feeling contrary about..." there are six tables with about 15 places to sit outside. It's not an outdoor bistro, but it's hardly chairs on the curb.

Some rolls were amazing, like the AAC roll and the Coco roll (one of the specials), but the ones we tried with any tempura were a little heavy on the coating. Service was great and we loved their order forms, which used a laminated form and a marker. Chef walked around to ask how each table was and chat briefly so the vibe and feel were excellent.
I was in town visiting and wanted a taste of home (Seattle) so we ordered a large platter of rolls. It was the best sushi I have had in Michigan (Sharaku used to be the best). We ordered the Asteroid, Tropical, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, Alaska Pipe, and Milford rolls. The spicy rolls had just the right amount of spice to them, i.e. you could still taste the fish. The Tropical roll was the fan favorite. I am only giving four stars because I have not tried their sashimi or nigiri sushi yet.
LOVE..love love love love love this place!!!! I am a frequent customer, so much so that they know me by order, but this place is just so amazing!!! The owner is the most friendliest person I have ever met and the food...oh man the food is addicting. I fight myself so that I don't eat here everyday. Speaking of that...I'm going to get some Oh Tokyo today! The calamari, the Las Vegas roll, the Friends roll...mmmmmmmmmm!!! If you haven't gone here, go. If you have, I know you'll go again.

Fresco Pizza Cafe

This pizza is delicious! It is apparent that the sauce is homemade as it is very fresh tasting and flavorful. Also, they use the absolute best cheese available and it really makes a difference. Honestly, you won't find a better pizza anywhere else.
Nobodys here. I have been here a few times, and there is never anyone eating here--guess thats a clue. You order, then sit down. They begrudgingly give you some silver ware and your beverage. The one person at the register seems to do it all. The crust is OK and the sauces is good__despite being a little heavily applied. But the toppings are very scant. I ordered a three topping pizza, and most slices had only one or two pieces of topping (combined). For the price, I expected more. This was not a bargain price or coupon pizza. I think there were only four or five little sausage crumbles on the whole small pizza--not enough for even one per slice. I would say maybe they have a good carry out business, but again, the few times I stopped here, no body came in. There are better pizza options in town. After my last visit, I wont be back.
Ugh. The service here has reached such a dismal low, I won't come here again. They're back to their old tricks, like swiping your credit card and then disappearing with it in the back, so that you can't call them out on not having made the order that was placed over 30 minutes ago. Online ordering is perpetually broken, and if you're unfortunate enough to call, the staff usually operates from a secret menu that isn't posted online or in their store. On the remote chance that you've successfully placed an order, and that they've chosen to do something with the order you've placed, you still can't count on them not selling to someone else. Yes, that's right, I've been told (more than once!) that they sold my order to someone else. I genuinely don't understand how they're still open.

Best Breakfast in the area. Great Service and generous portions! Try the Banana Walnut Pancakes!
I am usually not a fan of Coney Islands, but this one is the exception to the rule. I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. This time, I was a very difficult customer. I am on the Whole30 plan so there is not much I can eat and I need things specially prepared. Rachel was wonderful and very accommodating. They let me substitute meet for hashbrowns and tomatoes for toast and they cooked my eggs and olive oil instead of soy oil. She also happily gave me a nice set up of hot water with lemon. Another great experience! I will be back.
Went there on my lunch break. The food was alright, portions were big though. Prices were OK for the food quality. The service could have been better, easily! Not sure if the server was having a bad day or what, either way leave the attitude at home, anywhere but here. would have given three stars if the service was better. May give it another try. Will see.

Blue Grill is pretty good. if you are looking for a quick schawarma, then you will be satisfied. if you want a more diverse Mediterranean menu, then keep looking.
The chicken Shawarma is outstanding. My wife had the pita bowl and said it was excellent. We love the blue grill!
I got a salad and hummus I was kinda disappointed it cost me 14 dollars... I didn't get meat or anything extra on my salad either and I was sad they didn't offer a garlic hummus but they had many other options

Today we were taking a walk up and down Main St.Milford and stopped at the Main St Grill for a cold beer, sitting down at one of the outside tables, waiting for some service from inside, after at least 5-10 minutes I went inside to get a menu, seeing only ONE person in the entire bar sitting at the bar, picking up a menu and going back outside to continue to wait! I returned back inside to return the menu and still no one ever made any acknowledgement that I was standing there or had been in twice! I returned outside and we left to stroll down the St. to another venue Smoke st.! Must not need our business to bad! This is after other 2 star reviews from before, we are taking this off our list of stops in town.
Just stopped in and met the new owner- Reg! What a great host and the food has been upgraded under his reign. As good as a burger I have ever found in Metro Detroit. Sorry Miller's... Reg has you beat! Also a great little bar and cozy place to hang with friends or on a date.
The first time we went to Main Street we were not impressed, but decided to give it a shot after we heard they got new owners. Boy am I glad they did! The food improved tremendously and the service is always great. Compared to a lot of places in Milford, this place is a lot more affordable - but definitely doesn't slack on quality now! This is one of our favorite places to go and it is child-friendly as well. Highly recommend!
