This is a great place to go if you like good food and good entertainment. I've never been displeased anytime I've left here. Portion sizes are great too! A great place to go if you don't want to be in the clutter in town.

Tried the "fresh" fish special last Friday night. Was supposed to be Grouper. Could have been but didn't taste like any I've had before. Truly fresh in Florida. Over cooked which means dry. Gordon food service fries. The rest of my party had burgers and said they were fine. Salad was not bad. My huge complaint is the deafening roar in the room. We had to yell back and fourth to have a conversation and order. We all left with tinnitus and headaches. It took me a few minutes to determine why it was so overwhelmingly loud. If you dare to go there, look around. There is not a sound absorbing surface in the place. walls and ceilings are hard painted surfaces the tables are hard. The seating is naugahyde. Yup hard. Give it a shot if you like noise and no possible way to carry on a conversation. WILL NOT BE BACK.

Great menu. Griddled mashed potatos and blue cheese coleslaw sides were even better than the entree. Left a $100 gift card behind with the leftovers and the staff made sure I got both back before I made it to the car. Great place!

Decent food and good atmosphere. Bad waitress and waited 40 minutes for lunch after placing order.

Called on new year's eve with low expectations and not expecting to get a reservation. Speak to hostess. She says if we come now, 5:45, we don't need one as there are open tables. We go there, arriving exactly 15 minutes later and after discussions amongst several employees, they tell us there are no tables. I ask who I spoke to but no one fesses up. The Asian hostess then lies/ tells the owner, in front of us , that we had called 30 minutes ago. So I guess she was the one who told me I didn't need a reservation and to come on over. Owner apologizes and say he needs 20 of 24 tables at 7 but that we could eat at the bar. There are a few stools at the end where the waitress's pick up their orders and the TV is staring at us. We pass on that. This BTW, is a full hour before 7 and there are numerous unfilled tables currently available. So is it the end of the world, no. Did we just rush over to this restaurant after leaving our children with a baby sitter, yes. Could we simply have had a realistic conversation with a competent employee who would tell us to schedule for later or not come (like the other 2 restaurants I called did) yes. So while I can't talk to the food, I can talk to the fact that we got shafted and will not go back. That and evidently it takes over 1 hour to eat there.

Great food (especially like the fried perch dinner and have had that a few times here) and decent drinks. Spinach and artichoke dip appetizer is also good - get the pita wedges. Have been here 3 times and varying levels of crowds. Saturday afternoon was dead but Saturday night "end of summer bash" was packed and loud. Slightly irritated by the extra 25 cent surcharge for the lime wedges for our drinks (really?) but will probably be back.

My husband and I had a very good dinner at Creek Grill! We started with the chips and salsa they bring out to everyone and they were good! As an appetizer we ordered the artichoke dip with pita triangles, oh yum, and it was a very generous portion! For dinner I ordered a burger, on a pretzel bun, and really have to say it was one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time! My husband had the smothered chicken and really liked it, it was almost more than he could finish considering the appetizers! Our waitress was very helpful in giving advice and keeping up on drinks! They were very busy but we never waited on anything and other reviews mentioned noise level being a problem, we have been many other places that noise level was an issue but it was an overall great night! We will definitely be going back!

This review is based solely on happy hour beer specials. Jake and I stopped in after accidentally stumbling upon this place while on a detour through Midland-and we are sure happy that we did. Happy Hour runs 3-6, as we were told by our awesome bartender, Amy. Who also chatted with us about the surrounding area, live music that they feature and a summer volleyball league. She was friendly, outgoing and everything you could ask for in a bartender. While their draught selection is limited, they do a good job of pleasing everyone. My only wish was that they had a dark or stout to offer.....even Guinness. They did have the typical Miller/Bud Light on tap for an astonishingly cheap 1.75! They did also offer Busch Light for $1.00 too. Their "specialty" beers were, I believe $2.25, which is a steal. The beer was poured in true pint glasses and very cold. We also had great chips and salsa to munch on. We stopped in for one and stayed for four and a shot (and three hours). We will return frequently!

Great food! One of the best places I've eaten. The spinach artichoke dip is delicious and so cheesy! I could pass on the salad, it was gross greens that taste like dirt. I'm more of an iceberg/romaine kind of gal. I had the Shrimp Scampi linguini without scallops. So good and flavorful! I, of course, had to take a box. Everything my party had was really good. One had the perch fry, pulled pork and smothered chicken. I also had the Grand Traverse semi-dry Reisling, very tasty. Not too strong but definitely not overly sweet like Moscato. I would definitely come here again. The service was fast for a Saturday night as well.

Digging around in Mid-Michigan for a decent burger is a trepadatious affair. In an area where most burgers must be salted to be tasted, where meat is generally grey and mysterious, where buns err of the side of stale and bland, the Creek Grill stands out with totally decent food. They started by giving me chips and salsa. Now, I love me some chips and salsa, but it was weird having a non-Mexican inspired place do this. Why not rolls? Why not something original? The salsa was fine--hommade--but not that spicy. The burgers are described as "tri-tip patties." Now, if you're from around here, you may not be familiar with tri-tip. It's the state meat of California, (at least northern Ca. Southern Ca has carne asada to keep it awesome) and a delicious cut of cow, indeed. I ordered my burger medium, and it came out that way! This is a rare treat (so to speak). The meat was delectable, the pretzel bun was soft and supportive, and the toppings were generally fresh. The fries were wonderful, touched-up with some kind of herb, but not at all overpowered. They were honest-to-god steak fries. They also have the sweet potato variety and a selection of other interesting sides. The kids meals were affordable and generous enough. The mac and cheese was Kraft, but it had real cheese melted on top, too, so at least they put in some effort. And besides, kids tend to like the Kraft brand, even if I don't. Now, the atmosphere isn't the best. It's a sort of long tunnel of a place witch tables thrown around. It couldn't decide if it was going for "classy" or "sports bar" so it shot somewhere in between. Dark walls and TVs showing ESPN and local sport logos stenciled around. I don't like TVs in restaurants, as a general rule, but on this night it wasn't so bothersome. The four stars is reflective of your other options in town. I need to go back to try some of the other fare. But, unlike many other places in town (see Damon's), I will be going back!

A bar and grill place right outside of midland downtown in Bulllock Creek. recently opened serving sandwich, burger, salads, pasta, ribs, fish, seafood. Try to be different from other bar and grill in town. Carry selected local beers, overall selection is limited. Beers was reasonably priced at 3.25 (2.25 bottle). Free chips and salsa. I haven't tried their fish entrees. Chef was proud of his seafood. See article link below. ourmidland.com/news/arti… other notes from my visit: Potato skin appetizer = baked potato, too much potato per bacon topping, but it is lighter than traditional potato skin. Burgers were cooked properly and presentation was good, but burger lacked favor. has three buns to choose from (plain, sesame, and pretzel). Music was loud on friday night. 2-3 stars, when compare with Big E, Diamond Jim, and Chuck and Chew.

Over the past year, this has become of our favorite placed in Midland. While it's kind of loud in there (weird echo effect from the bar area), the food is excellent. I especially like the chicken dishes and the mushroom pastas. You can tell that this is not your typical franchise reheated stuff--it's fresh and exceptionally tasty. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and we would probably go there weekly if we lived closer. My only complaint is the bathroom--the owner really needs to spend a little money expanding. It's so small you can hardly turn around!
