Great little find in Luddington! Cute decor and really good coffee. Ordered a vanilla latte with extra foam and it was just the right amount of sweetness. Coffee was flavorful without being over roasted/burnt and no sour after taste. Also, 5 stars is relative to this area... It might not be the best coffee you will ever have; but it probably will be when your in Luddington.

We make sure we visit this place every time we come to Ludington. I think their coffee is fantastic! The aroma of freshly roasted beans fill the room Of the authentically original decor. Great place!

Great little coffeehouse! Nice ambiance, and lots of comfortable seating. Some friends & I stopped in for a break from shopping, and ended up sitting and talking (and drinking their delicious beverages) for over an hour. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Fast, free wifi. I had a strawberry smoothie, and it was VERY MUCH worth the $5 price tag. That thing was HUGE. And very very delicious. Something to note...all their prices are odd numbers...my smoothie was $4.72 (I believe), but after tax, it was $5. Their entire menu was like that, so you don't get back a ton of change. I liked that fact. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

Best coffee in town in a cute little cafe.

What a great place - lots of comfortable sofas and chairs, and really good menu of coffee items tea, hot chocolate and pastries. Their service is good and wifi is speedy. Back room is great for study or small group meetings. Always an enjoyable visit.

Great place to relax and enjoy coffee or tea. Free, fast wifi and plenty of cozy seating. The staff is personable and friendly and always willing to help with directions or things to do in Mason county.

Wonderfully strong yet tasteful coffee. Adorable interior, capturing the essence of an old country store within the coffee shop. They even sell locally made products! They had a table for chess, plenty of comfy-looking chairs, and good music. If I were a local, this would be my coffee shop. Great, great place!

Best in Ludington. Only roaster in town.

Coffee was excellent and they make their own syrups. Atmosphere was really cool, lots of up scaled art and unique furniture.

Spent a long weekend recently in Ludington and managed to find our way in a couple times for a morning brew. Being the only real game in town, they could probably pass off for less than what they do. Cozy and eclectic reigns inside, but starting the day off with a tray of their French press on an outdoor table is a fantastic way to begin the morning. Didn't have a chance to try any of the edibles, but the coffee itself was a winner.

The layout doesn't optimize the space, at all - but this doesn't affect the coffee, just my desire to drink my coffee there! The furniture is also mismatched and odd. They had almond milk which is a plus for me! The barista was also willing to customize my latte. Ludington doesn't have many coffee options, but even if it did, this place is worth a visit!

Visited for a winter vacation and had loved this place in the summer, but arrived multiple times to a closed shop. Evidently the winter hours are reduced to just Sat/Sun and only daytime, despite a lack of updates on here. My two stars are for this unconscionable logic - not the the coffee. The coffee is great if you feel like coffee in the summer only. How they afford to only run two days and still pay the bills, and take an inherently cold-weather product off the market is beyond me, and a shame, since the place was really great otherwise!

Awesome eclectic atmosphere! Friendly service and good coffee. Worth checking out. :-)

I've been coming here since they opened in 2009. The coffee is unparalleled. Roasted right in the shop and brewed in a French press, with cream and sugar it transcends your typical cup of joe. My favorite thing is to get a full press to share with friends. The specialty drinks are great too! My favorite thing about Redolencia is the atmosphere. Comfortable and inviting; it makes you want to stay there and drink coffee all day. I recommend this coffee shop to absolutely everyone. A must visit Ludington destination!

Was up there second week of June, they were never open. Asked local people was told it should be open. Not sure what the problem was.

They have changed coffee for me. And made it almost impossible to find anything even close as good. They roast all their own beans in house and have a great staff. French press only for coffee so there can be a bit of a wait at time. But you know what they say, good things come to those who wait.

I love this place! I have been a regular for a couple years now. The staff is great and professional and more than willing to help you find the best drink suited for you. The atmosphere is great, cozy, and welcoming. Their coffee is fresh grinded and brewed everyday. A must if you come to ludington.

I love the atmosphere here and it's the only place in town to get freshly roasted, freshly ground, and freshly brewed coffee. They make everything they can in house (syrups, chai, etc) so it lacks the preservatives and emulsifiers many chain store coffees contain. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but hey, you don't go to a Mom and Pop burger joint and ask for a burger to be delivered and made at the speed and cost of McDonalds, quality takes time and the small wait (usually 3-10 min) for Redolencia Coffee is worth it!

This is a wonderful, quaint, comfortable coffee shop. Coffee tastes great. Played a game of chess while we sipped our coffee - loved it! They used to sell a pastry, bread-like item (I think was called a boller, which is Danish?), but the last couple years they haven't had them. They don't have too many other snacks to choose from. I love that they roast their own coffee beans.

Place looks cool inside but it's 4:50 pm on a Friday.. And they're closed. Hours posted on the door say 9sm-4pm Monday thru Friday.. Too bad!

The proprietor has turned this old building into a warm, inviting living room that happens to be a coffee shop! Every time I'm in Ludington, I stop by for an excellent cup! It's rare that a coffee shop offers a French press but this is the best way to enjoy your coffee! The staff are great & the deserts are homemade and great,

Loved this place! Great "local coffee shop" feel with lots of seating and free wifi. Service was awesome. Try the Chai!

I keep seeing "best coffee in town," which isn't saying much. Not that I exactly scoured the streets of Ludington, but it was the first and only coffeehouse I saw the couple of times we hung out in the area. Supposedly they make a killer Mayan Hot Chocolate, but it was out of season. They did say they could make one for me, but this was after a rather in-depth explanation that it's time consuming to create. I appreciated the offer, but didn't want to wait and didn't want to make them work that hard. I ordered the Chai Spice Tea (iced) with soy milk. What I received was a 20oz cup 3/4 filled with ice. Oh, and some slightly cinnamon flavored liquid. This "drink" cost $5 and was incredibly bland and diluted. I'm leaning toward worst Chai Tea ever. I would say worst coffeeshop beverage ever, but that is a dishonor reserved for the Horchata. It pains me to even call that Horchata, because it honestly tasted like the fruity-chemical milk that is left at the bottom of your bowl after a heaping helping of Trix cereal. I also sipped a bit of my boyfriend's Hazelnut Frappuccino, which was the least offensive of all. It actually wasn't too bad, but it also wasn't anything amazing. If I ever return, this is the only thing I would order. The people who worked there were exceedingly friendly and professional. I enjoyed my brief brush with their bubbling personalities. I wish I felt as warm and fuzzy about our cold coffee drinks.

"Best coffee in town" is not a lot to brag about. Ludington must not be much of a coffee-drinking town, they couldn't keep a Starbucks, even. Redolencia is a huge place; their rent is super cheap or they must sell a LOT of coffee. Their coffee was great; I don't think there are many places in Ludington that know what an Americano is. They do, and they do it well. The highlight for us was the ability to find an area to have a conversation. There are many comfortable chairs and sofas, and we were able to spend an hour in conversation enjoyably.

Delicious and creamy latte! Thank you. I also loved looking at the galy wrapped canvas artwork on the walls. Great place, wide open and delicious coffee. Friendly service.

A coffee house with that traditional coffee house feel! They have a nice section of beverages and baked goods (from a local bakery). The shop is spacious with a lot of seating. It's a great place to sit and visit with friends or grab a cup and go. Local artwork covers the walls and they also sell artwork as well as some other items. Very cute place with great coffee! I find myself where at least once every couple weeks.

Redolencia is phenomenal. As a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I can still safely say it's one of my favorite coffee places in the world. My order recommendation - a half french press with one of their little rolls. It's exactly $5. Make sure to bring a book or some knitting, and just sit and enjoy the next few hours. It's perfectly quirky. If you're lucky, you'll enter when they are roasting their own coffee beans. No smell quite as wonderful.

THE Best coffee and hang out spot in town!

What a great addition to main street in Ludington. This place is absolutely fabulous! It even smells fantastic. They have a coffee roaster on site, in the front, as you walk in, and truly makes the place smell great. You can't miss it. You must try this place the next time in your Ludington. The coffee is fantastic. I haven't tried any of the speciality drinks yet, but just plain coffee is the best in the area, hands down. Go! Grab a cup and walk the streets, you won't regret it.

beautiful, quaint place. Try the white choc raspberry hot chocolate and you will be in heaven. The ppl who work there are the sweetest. since the drinks are huge, we were going to split one and the barista (with the cool sideburns!) went ahead and grabbed two cups, split it, whipped creamed both of them and had it out for us. Excellent!

The place itself is super cute. The blended coffee wasn't the best though. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean. I would come back, but I would try a different coffee drink.

Redolencia is my absolute favorite place in town. I love the atmosphere and the staff and have spent many a morning hanging out working on various crochet projects. Lars and his staff are all very personable and friendly. The menu is vast and if you don't see what you want just ask, chances are good they'll make it!

Very, very comfy hot and cold beverage shop. I had the handmade hot chai made with pepper, my pals had frappucino-like bevs that were to die for. Five or more living room sets for hanging out. You can also try their Norwegian pastries, which looked great too....we waited here for the annual Fourth of July parade to start, which was a truly entertaining event that lasted almost two hours. The Scottville Clown Marching Band brings up the end of the parade--hilarious!

The coffee was fine, the atmosphere was nice. However, my boyfriend and I waited 30 minutes for our drinks (iced coffee and a black coffee). Considering how simple the drink order was and the fact that there were only 2-3 orders in front of us, I could not believe how long it took to get our drinks.

What a great surprise on a quick stop into the town of Ludington! Conveniently found along the main strip through downtown, this place had the perfect atmosphere for a blustery day in early March. My friends and I--visiting from NC State University--were pleased with the friendly staff who invited us to have a seat while we waited on our drinks. With ample, quality seating options for groups & individuals, along with the atmosphere & coffee table books, we didn't mind one bit. The icing on the cake: on our serving tray (yes, he brought everything on a tray) the barista included a petite creamer filled with steamed milk. If our french press needed anything else, I would've loved this touch, but it was already perfect! A must-visit if you're in the area. Perhaps a warm-up after visiting the beautiful state park just a few miles to the north!

Stumbled on this place while walking around with my daughter today. Was excited to get a thai tea and she had an iced coffee drink. Both were great and the shop was a wonderful place to sit and chat for awhile. I will definately come back again.

Best coffee in Michigan! They roast their own beans (ask Lars about his methods) that have a wonderful nutty / berry undertone. Really good pastries too, especially the pizza one!

SUPER cute coffee house / cafe. Free Wi-Fi and tons of comfy chairs, tables, and a very large room in the back - looks like they do music stuff here sometimes. Had a hot chocolate "menu" and lots of teas available. I had a mocha that was very good. Sign said made-to-order sandwiches, and there were delightful looking bakery items that I think were being made onsite - next time I'll try some. Service was slow, but it was a cloudy chilly Labor Day, perfect for kicking back in a cafe like this. But they seemed very understaffed for such a day. Seemed like a nice mix of locals and tourists / seasonal folks. I'll be back!

They find specific Ethiopian beans that match what flavors they want. Roasted in-house daily with green beans sourced from a variety of retailers.

I work for a major airline and know great coffee from good and average. This was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. You know they are serious coffee connoisseurs when there is only one brewed coffee available at a time and it's French press.

A beautiful place. Never seen such a well set up place for a coffee shop. It is very laid back with the folks who work there. They are really nice as well. Almost too neat for a coffee shop. But ample space, very well decorated and very friendly staff. Must go - if ur in the area :))

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a quaint coffee shop in such a small town. The service was great, but my Mayan Cocoa with espresso could have been better... The cardamon that was added to it for flavor was chunky and reminded me of drinking chocolate flavored soup. But, I would go back.... More or less due to the lack of options in Ludington.

Very cute coffeehouse. I like their flavored iced lattes. They're a bit on the sweet side, though, so I recommend requesting less syrup (3 pumps rather than 6).
