They made a fantastic wedding cake for me and my husband! It looked beautiful, tasted great and was delivered on time as promised. Couldn't be happier! This is the bakery for your wedding cake, look no further! They aren't open on off seasons for regular hours but they do respond to Facebook messages.

Was surprised to see we were the only table in here on a Sunday morning at 9, but there was a triathlon going on and a few others stopped in before we left. I ordered the cherry pecan pancakes and bacon. The cherries are dried so it makes for a little tougher of a bite, but the bacon was delicious. It had a slight peppery flavor that definitely made for an above average bacon!. They also had quite the list of fancy coffee drinks, but I stuck to the regular joe.

Just a cafe. But eating on the sidewalk was pleasant..The food was good..just a ham and turkey club on sour dough bread was perfect and only sjx bucks. and the server was excellent.

Cute little corner bakery and cafe. Service was attentive and the food was well-presented and tasty. We split the chicken salad melt, which was absolutely fantastic, with perfectly crisp french fries, and a couple salads. The prices seemed reasonable for what we got. We took some brownies to go and they were delicious, too. Recommended.

Went here for breakfast during our stay in Ludington, definitely one of the better restaurants in the city. Tasty food but a bit pricey for breakfast. Ordered standard breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast, all very good and cooked well. My spouse ordered French toast but it sadly did not come with bacon. A side of bacon is around $2.95 and is only 2 pieces! That is some pricey bacon! The food was good don't get me wrong and I would return but the prices were a bit disappointing. Our server was new to the restaurant and only had a few days under her belt but she was very good and attentive! Honestly good service was hard to come by at restaurants in this city, this place should give some lessons to other businesses struggling with service in the city, we were happy. I recommend trying this restaurant and also Cafe 106 which is right around back!

We enjoyed a yummy breakfast here. My blueberry pancakes were studded with a healthy portion of berries, and each of the two cakes was nearly an inch tall; they tasted scratch-made, not from a baking mix. My partner had stuffed French toast, spread with strawberry cream cheese and covered in sliced fresh strawberries and whipped cream; very decadent. The portions were crazy huge; our breakfasts could easily have fed two more people. We also thought that our coffee was above average; very rich and smooth.(The cafe makes a variety of flavored coffee drinks as well as the plain cuppa joe.) The luncheon menu looked good -- lots of sandwich choices. The baked goods displayed in this bakery cafe' also looked most toothsome -- things like lemon bars, raspberry-coconut bars, snickerdoodle bars and cinnamon rolls. The atmosphere was cute and cozy -- cheery black and red tables and chairs with cherry-themed wallpaper. My only minor quibble: Fake maple syrup in maple-intensive northern Michigan, in an area with a large commercial sugar house just a few miles out of town. We'd definitely go back, perhaps trying out the lunch menu next time.

My second stop at Le Serving Spoon was like the first - that is, nice but not extraordinary. I had the blueberry pancakes with a side of scrambled egg and a chai latte. The blueberries were fresh, but seemed dropped into the pancakes as they cooked, as they were like large pockets on one side only. The side they were on seemed a scooch underdone. The egg was very good - a little on the dry side, which I like. If I could put my finger on the one area for improvement, I would call it "flow." Unless you've been there before, it's not totally clear how things work. There are a couple menus on the tables, but you have to place your order at the counter. The coffee appears to be self-serve, but it's not gratis. They also ran out of mugs and served some items in to-go cups; they also ran out of coffee and the replacement batch took several minutes. On a Saturday morning around 9, there were a handful of tables occupied but it seems like they were staffed for less. These are certainly not huge obstacles, but it makes the experience a little less user-friendly. On our way out we forgot to buy the bakery items (s'mores bars - omg) we'd ogled while placing our orders. Boo on us.

Le Serving Spoon is a bakery and cafe and it's a nice little lunch spot. Their sandwiches and soups are scrumptious. I'm not normally a sandwich person, but these are very yummy. Make sure to grab a bakery treat to go! They also have a catering and custom cake service. We had them cater our wedding reception and the food was amazing! We got so many compliments about the food. And all of our guests scarfed down the equally delicious cake, leaving absolutely no leftovers for the newlyweds.

The food here was mediocre. The pancakes were dry and obviously made from a mix. The syrup was not maple syrup. The breakfast sausage my wife ordered was barely edible....and how do you screw up scrambled eggs? I also saw the guy working behind the counter dig for gold w/o washing his hands. We really liked the Blue Moon Bistro around the corner and it was only just slightly more expensive, but wow what a difference.

Le Serving Spoon is a good place to stop for a sandwich on the main drag of downtown Ludington. The menu is mainly sandwiches and wraps. Most of the dishes are creative in their use of ingredients, and well-spiced, which is a rarity for a Michigan restaurant. The prices are a little bit on the high side, considering they don't use organics or locally grown, and the food is hardly what I would call spectacular. The main thing first-time visitors will notice is the odd layout. It can be a bit confusing to figure out where to get a menu and where to order. Getting rid of used dishes, etc., is also a bit confusing, as it's not clear if you need to bus your own table or not.

My wife and I had been camping (tent) at Ludington State Park and were looking fro a place to eat lunch on our way home back to Dayton, OH. During our drive to the State Park we drove thru Ludington and were impressed with the the city so we stopped and by chance found the Le Serving Spoon. Parking was convenient and the people working were friendly. The menu consisted mainly of soups, salads, and sandwiches which was exactly what we wanted. When or if we return to the area this is one place we would go back to.

Friends & I grabbed lunch here on our way out of town. Personally, I wouldn't go back. The price was a bit steep for what you got. I ordered a cheeseburger, and for one, it was tiny. On a cheap bun. For $6.75, I would at least hope for a kaiser roll or something. Especially considering their other sandwiches were on more pleasant looking bread. It was $1+ to add fries to your meal, instead of having chips. I ordered the fries, and they were incredibly greasy. I understand that fries are going to be greasy, since they are deep fried, but they were so greasy that I had to dab my napkin on them to make them edible. And the fries weren't crispy at ALL. Tasted undercooked to me. Spent $8 for my cheeseburger and fries and left still hungry. The staff that I interacted with were very off-putting as well. The ONLY thing I liked was the outdoor seating. Will NOT be back.
