First time here, it's right next to the baseball park where my adult team plays quite often. We got rained out today so I thought I'd check it out, Tuesday at 6:30. The place is about half full for what that's worth. I say at the bar since I was by myself. As others mentioned, plenty of Tvs around so this looks like it would be decent for catching a game. About 5 beers on tap so not a huge selection but they also have about 5-6 more craft beers by he bottle or can so a decent overall beer selection. Waitress/bartender is reasonably friendly. Food came very quickly and potato skins are very hot. I've never been to Philadelphia so can't compare to it but the Philly cheesesteak sandwich is good and was also very hot and fresh. Overall this was a decent meal and I'd come here again if hungry after a ball game!

Stopped by after driving past this location for almost 3 years. Inside is a clean, newly remodeled bar and dining area. You walk in and place your order at the counter. Your food is brought to you at your table. I tried the classic Steakhouse Philly and took a Kronos gyro to go...both were outstanding! The Philly was flavored heavy with onions and plenty of melted cheese. The taste was fantastic, the bun was just right, the fries were a nice compliment. The fountain Coke was a great way to wash it down. The gyro was also fantastic. You can see the gyro spit as you place your order...a good sign that it's fresh! I love Lenny's cheesesteak as well. The difference between the two is that Lenny's is more about the meat, Steakhouse Philly is more about the cheese & onions. Both have unique buns and cheese. Both taste great. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys quality carnivorous fare and beer. I will be back to try more of the Greek fare on the menu. Kudos to the owner for this remodeled gem!

This used to be "The Best Steak House" and the best place in Lansing to get a philly steak sandwich. It still is, and they have an expanded sandwich menu this time around. The interior and atmosphere is a heck of a lot better than it used to be. The variations on the traditional philly steak are refreshing. Fries were excellent as well, but who really screws them up anyways besides "Meat & Carnivore Cuisine" anyways! I haven't been exposed to crappy service as of yet, but I'm sure it happens just like anywhere else.

I am from the Philly area and it is an abomination to call themselves the Philly Steak House. Their cheese steaks suck horribly with no taste, air bread, and very dry. The potatoes skins were burned dry too. Having grown up in a restaurant in the Philly area I would be ashamed to serve such food. Make sure to avoid this place unless you are drunk and starving.

Came in after 9 on a Thursday night. Few customers there. Food was excellent and there was a lot of it. Sister had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. I had the soluvaki. However I was to full from the Greek side salad and the appetizer of the Takizti sauce. Will be back and would recommend. .

Never go back again. Had a long hair inside my steak sandwich. When I brought it to the attention of my waitress and hostess they didn't seem to care. It made me feel as if it were a common occurrence. Too bad convenient location.

THE BEST!!! The Windy City Philly sandwich is AMAZING!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I was in town for business from Seattle, and just arrived in Lansing via a brief trip in Chicago (my home town). Home of the Italian Beef style sandwich. DA Bears!! Well Steakhouse Philly has the Windy City Philly and it Rocks right here in Lansing!!!! The server Lexi was very friendly. I was impressed by the owner Charlie. He came over to my table and really made me feel at home. A great guy. I have put this place in the rotation after they renovated the entire restaurant. Philly Cheese Steak is excellent and Fries are always properly cooked. After 10 visits in the last 4 months the food has been consistently good each time. Gyro is also excellent and Greek fries are a nice compliment to your main dish. Carry out process is also fast and easy. Food pickup is at the bar for carry out.

I had the bacon, egg and cheese Philly and my wife had a Greek salad. My Philly was great and cooked fine, egg was great as well. Wife said the salad was huge and only wished she ordered chi Ken for it to add in. Prices are reasonable, service was good. I'll be back for sure. Bathroom and table areas were very clean which means a lot to me. Overall I really liked it.

First time there at Steakhouse Philly Bar & Grill. Nice place, very clean. Dark wood tables and floor, nice décor. Many TVs, I counted nine but there may be more. Well-stocked bar, six taps. The shelving unit to the left of the bar is ugly. Needs doors on it. The dining area was kind of chilly, I kept my coat on until the food arrived. The food was piping hot and fresh. I ordered a sandwich that was half Philly Cheesesteak meat, half gyro meat with melted cheese, grilled onions, and tzatziki sauce. It was very good! Filling, I could only eat half of it. The fries were also piping hot and well-seasoned. I didn't need to add salt to anything. A friendly young lady who took my order seemed knowledgeable about the food and explained some things to me, because I told her it was my first time there. They have daily specials and serve Coke products. This bar and grill definitely caters to men - I counted only three female customers during my 45 minutes there. However, the men who dined there - some alone, some with friends or coworkers - were sober and fairly quiet professionals. I felt comfortable as a women dining alone there, and was treated well. Great place to get a hot sandwich and sides. The salads looked good, too!
