This place can morph into a thousand different bars. See which one you can find. Examples: *Cool, casual joint to hang out with an play NTN with your friends *Disgusting 20-something meat market with god-awful dance music pumping throughout *Empty except for the creepy 40-ish drunk &/or pedophile rail monkeys *Packed to the point of insanity rowdy male-dominated PPV boxing events Drink prices okay. Service okay. Food okay. Atmosphere iffy on any given day.

Congrats Renos West. Just when I think you can't be more moronic, you prove me wrong. I meet a group of friends at Renos West and check out the new remodel. It looks great. I am not eating or drinking cuz I am on a diet, but the rest of my group is pounding food and drinks. Due to my diet, I order a diet soda. Now I feel bad for the waitress cuz I am not exactly going to make her rich. But I order the pop which cost $2. I hand the waitress a $5 and tell her to keep the change. About 1 hour later, I catch up with the waitress and ask her for a refill, she says sure, so l pull out a few dollars to tip her for the service. Well, a couple minutes later, she comes back and tells me that I can't get a refill on my pop unless I order food. Renos are you serious. Its to bad because this should be the best bar in lansing. But due to the incompetent management and hi turnover in wait staff, it is a shadow of what it could be.

Good local sports bar but you need to know a few things. 1, get to know who is a good waitress and who isn't. If its your 1st time its 50/50. Great beer selection good food. Great burgers but they always overcook if you don't make sure and stress this! Working up here and its close to hotel so I go a lot! No UFC events, which is really weird for such a big place. Lots of TV's and girls are great at getting on what you want to watch. Needs to work on the cooking staff and upgrade the menu, basically it's anything covered in cheese.

They have a great beer selection, and awesome food for a bar. I visit every time I am in Michigan.

Actually the worst service I have ever experienced. For being a bar that has been "established" here in the East Lansing/Lansing area they certainly do not know how to handle a game crowd.

40 beers on tap = awesome!!! They even had some really good specials on the fancy ones, which you don't find too often, plus you get your choice of pints or "schooners" which are nice and huge. We got a couple of appetizers - hot wings (fried, not saucy) and steak fries smothered in homemade chili and real cheese, soooo good. My dining companions all got deluxe burgers and fries and thought they were delicious; I got a Chicago Calzone (lots of meat & cheese) which was basically a small pizza folded in half. For $8.99 I had half a calzone to take home for the next day, and it was GREAT!!! Tons of TV's everywhere, and one of the only huge screens we've seen that didn't distort the picture or color at all. They also have a full-size shuffleboard, darts, and tons of arcade-style games; it would be a great place to settle in on game day or to have a big party. Looks like the outdoor patio would be pretty sweet too, when it's not covered with snow. One star deducted because, as another reviewer so delicately put it, the service sucks monkey balls. Our server apologized up front for being so slow getting drinks because she was new, which was fine, but then she continued to be slow and forget things and make excuses, even dropping off our burgers she said "I have never even seen these before, I don't know what's on them!" Well, it's a radical approach but you could try LOOKING at them because it is a BURGER with clearly viewable toppings. After waiting and waiting we had to chase her down to get the bill. Apparently this "I'm new" approach is a pretty regular thing, so maybe they need to treat their waitstaff a little better and they'll hang around long enough to learn the menu. Despite the bad service, it was an AMAZING meal & the beer selection can't be beat. We'll go back as often as possible!

Okay here goes. I come here a lot. I like the TV selection. I can see lots of games. For the most part they are newer. They have NFL Sunday Ticket. The have audio for the projector screens. They also have free popcorn and it is probably the best popcorn in Eaton County. The pizzas and calzones are good, the nachos are good. They have a pretty good selection for vegetarians. Why one star. The service is the worst I have ever experienced. And I don't say this based one or two visits. I've been here between 50 and 100 times. I've even been here on thanksgiving day. The bad experiences far outweigh the good ones. Yes we have had some stellar waitresses but only a few times and not in the five years. I have seen tables go uncleared and uncleaned for hours. Like 3 plus. And on days that they weren't all that busy. They spend more time playing with staff members kids than they do waiting on tables. This last time (9-13-15) they had staff members kids bring us popcorn and dressings. The place is just a mess. I've worked in food service for 15 years. It's bad management. It shows in the way the staff gets away with shoddy service. All this said will I still come here? Yes. On game days. When I want to watch 3 or 4 hours of football and not care that the food was slow and service was bad. This is mostly a review for the poor soul who wants a fast dinner and some sports to go along with dinner. If you want that go to Buffalo Wild Wings, Reno's West can't do fast.

Have you ever felt like you wanted to be whisked back to the late 80's/early 90's? This place is very outdated inside and out. Tacky decorations are scattered all around the restaurant and the place honestly smells like a ball pit. Food was nothing special, if not below average.

Every year or so someone talks me into coming here for a beer. They undoubtedly have the best tap selection on the west side of Lansing, maybe all of lansing, however their prices are WAY out of line. A 24 oz craft beer will set you back about $10 and a large domestic will set you back about half that. I've had an excellent, but overpriced burger here. I've seen their chicken wings, but haven't ever tasted them since they're $13.99 for 12. They apparently now have a policy of no soda refills without food purchase. It's ridiculous to charge someone for soda refills when they're driving a bunch of your beer swilling patrons home at the end of the night. Why to come here: awesome beer selection and a really cool patio area with garage doors opening up the bar to the outside. Why not to come here: Bad service, ridiculous anti DD policy, expensive food and drinks.

Very thankful they are open on Christmas other than that this is the worst bar in Lansing! Service is slow and unfriendly. Please open the Tin Can next year so we don't have to suffer through the agony

Compared to Reno's East, Reno's West is subpar, at best. Menus are essentially the same, yet what is delivered to you varies wildly between the locations. At this location they can almost NEVER get substitutions or side orders correct, and there is no attention paid to preparation or presentation whatsoever -- sandwiches have all the meat on one side and all the condiments (and too much of them) on the other or are completely falling apart. Service is typically a challenge at the West location as well -- bartenders and servers that I have interacted with seem to be trying hard, but they either have no experience or are so understaffed that they can't keep up. And can management please, PLEASE, stop forcing the servers to wear those awful short-shorts? Beer selection and facility here are also second rate when compared to the East location. In short, go to Reno's East instead of West if at all possible.

Awful awful awful service. I will never set foot in this mismanaged mess again. Worst wait staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Not worth the trouble. Last time I went there it took nearly two hours to get food on a slow night because, not just mine, but everyone's food at the table was made wrong. Then my group got "cut off" by 11pm because some drunk from another table decided to sit down near us and the waitress thought we were together. The most anyone in my group had to drink was two margaritas... one person hadn't even gotten a drink yet and they told him he wasn't allowed. Never going back.

I would love to give a better rating to this place. Staff is pleasant, lots of beers on tap, and decent bar food. But they understaff for game days and the service always ends up being slow and terrible. I don't blame the servers, they try hard but can't keep up. I rarely come here because of this.

Great atmosphere and TVs, but the service is truly terrible. I know that the service is terrible, which I why I don't choose to go there, however recently, I was part of a large group. I know they were expecting us, since there were several tables pushed together, and there were pitchers of water on the tables. There were no cups for the water, and the ice melted, and cups never arrived. Our large group seemed to have just one server, and it seemed like it was her first day. Some of our group actually had their food arrive before their beer, and when the beer arrived, it was the wrong order. The standard bar food is passable, and the beer selection is good, but wow, the service is the worst in Eaton, Ingham or Clinton Counties. Amazingly bad each and every time.

Family and I were visiting other family in the Lansing area and we were looking for a spot to watch baseball games so we came here as there was a large selection of tvs. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was fairly slow. We had no problem getting the games we wanted to watch on the screens but it was all down hill from there. Service was just bad, you could tell our waitress did not want to be there as she didn't introduce herself and just asked for our drink order. The first drink order was fairly prompt but after that it was awful took me 20 minutes to get a whiskey coke after I ordered, my mom had to ask for her beer three times, and my brother gave up on getting another water. We had to go find her to let her know we were ready to put in a food order. The food took forever and when it came our waitress didn't ask if we needed anything else (silverware, ketchup, etc.) It seemed like our server was having issues at her two other tables as well. We had to get up and find her more times than she came to us. If we didn't get the baseball games on I would have given this one star.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Waited for over an hour for sliders and the manager was snippy when I complained. Would recommend avoiding this place...

What a "classy" place. errrr...or not. Cool part is that they have an abundance of games, pool tables, dart boards and TV's to watch the game. I had my first Reno's experience about 6 months back and I have to say that it was a pretty neat little place, but it's away from everything. It's a drive to get here and that kind of stinks. The service was mediocre at best, but if you help yourself at the bar, it's not so bad.

Without a doubt - the worst hamburger I've ever had in my life. It didn't look like a hamburger (I actually thought it might be a turkey-burger) so I asked but a "mistake in the kitchen" was not to be. So I ate it. And surprise - it didn't taste like a hamburger. The 40 beers on tap was great but there won't be a next time for me. Read the other reviews and BELIEVE! There are other sports bars that save way better food.

Typical sports bar for the Lansing Area. Caters well to large groups (we had our fantasy football draft here). Good beer selection, pool tables, darts, video games, etc. Good bar food and nice wait staff.

Two stars for edible food and a decent beer selection. ZERO stars for service. Since they are known to treat their servers like crap (two friends of mine quit after 1 day) the only ones that stick around seem to have really slow hamsters running their brains. That is the only explanation for how insanely incompetent they are that I can think of. EXAMPLE: Friend orders drink with salted rim. Practically 3 hours later, server brings drink. After she sets it down, she says: "Oh.... and there IS salt on that glass.... you just can't see it because the salt is colored and it blends in with your drink." WTF??? Hamster-controlled brains. I swear.

I really enjoy their sandwiches that are made with pretzel bread. I had the turkey pretzel melt when I was there last, and it was very delicious. Their beer selection is pretty decent. They also have a lot of arcade games, a few pool tables, and some dart boards. Games are fun, right? The service is not great. In fact, it's not even good. It took our waitress forever to bring us drinks. And then it took her even longer to bring us menus so we could order some food. It does take a bit to get there, but I like pretzel bread enough to go back.

Reno's West is what we are talking about here and things have not been right with this establishment in years. Food is only okay and the service is awful. For the record, I enjoy Reno's East. The menu is the same, but the service is markedly better and it even seems like the food is prepared with more care and thought. I work on this side of town and the new rennovation and patio are a big draw, especially as the weather gets nicer. Unfortunatley almost every time I am drawn here, I leave dissapointed. This dissatisfaction can not just be me, because the place is nearly empty on lunch hours (especially during winter) and that is not common amongst other dining establishments on this side of town. It starts when you enter the establishment and you are facing the bar. No one greets you or steers you towards a seat. When you do find a table, you will often sit there for five to ten minutes before someone stops by to take a drink order. Because no one sat you, and there are no menus on the table, your time waiting for a waitress has been wasted because you still don't know what you want. The food is decent enough, but prepared rather inconsistently at this location. The pretzel bread, which used to be my favorite, is never grilled as described on the menu and it comes out rather hard and unappetizing. I am not sure why I even continue to give them any chances, and it must be the patio, but that draw is only going to work for so long before the poor service drives me and other patrons away.

My boyfriend and I used to frequent this place a lot. They had a great beer selection and great atmosphere. The last year their prices have gone up dramatically and the food has not been as good as it once was. Ok, places have to raise their prices to keep competitive. Plus, a new B-Dubs had just opened up down the street. We kept going. The straw that broke the camels back happened one night when my man, my cousin and I were out having drinks and watching the hockey game. Both my cousin and man were drinking beer. I was drinking soda because I was driving. The beer tab easily came to $20.00. I was low on my fountain drink and asked the lady for a refill. She then told me that refills (on Pop) were not free unless food was being ordered. Hold up. You're trying to tell me that the $20 tab that my man is ringing up in craft beer isn't enough to warrant a free refill on pop that costs your establishment .20 cents to produce?? I complained and got my refill (which by the way was flat!), but made the decision that we were never going to Reno's West again.

Good beer selection, but not good service and not good overall vibe of the resteraunt/bar. There are many good seats to be able to watch various games so it stands up pretty well as a sports bar, but nothing seems to impress. Good beer selection aside my overall impression is "eh".

I used to diss this place but they turned into a beer geek mecca. 40 taps and bartenders who appreciate them. The place has several (real) dart boards and pretty good 'rental' darts. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were quick to get you drinks, didn't mind giving a sample or two, and liked to talk beer as much as their busy workload allowed. Good times. I'm going back.

Has a lot of TVs, but the times I have been there on busy game nights the service sucks monkey balls.
