This was my first time here and I was very surprised how good the food was. I had the chicken chimichanga, it was delicious! The chips was hot out of the oven and salsa was one of the best I've had! They keep the refills coming and the service was great! This will be my new spot for Mexican food!

The margarita pitchers here are awesome! And the food is also really great. The decorations are really fun, colorful, and upbeat, and you're sure to have a great time.

First time customer: Ordered take out and had a chimichanga with rice and beans and also a beef fajita on their online lunch specialty menu. Surprisingly, it came with salsa and corn chips (yum!); just like a dine in experience. Wait time was 10-15 minutes. The atmosphere inside the establishment felt relaxing and friendly for the time I was there picking up my food. I'll be back again for the food. Good food for a good price.

We wanted to eat and drink on a patio. That was our goal. We stopped at two other restaurants before settling on "mediocre Mexican" as my sister described it. To say the least, I wasn't expecting too much when I sat down. But I was sitting in the sun and we ordered a pitcher of margaritas, so life was pretty darn good. I got the chimichanga, as I often do. When it is the option, I go for it. But I was warned ahead of time by my sister that their ground beef was 'tasteless', so I went for chicken. It was pretty good. Mediocre Mexican is the perfect way to describe it. The drinks are great, the food is meh. But it had an outdoor patio and it was the first day of my vacation, and the first of three patios I wound up sitting on that evening, so it was magical.

I pass this place and it's always packed! Very little down time but in suburban America a crowd doesn't always signify good food. I'm a mild fan of restaurant Mexican or texmex. I prefer my own or real foods of indigenous cultures. None the less I stopped by after a long day. The margaritas, which I typically don't like because they can be too salty or too sweet/syrupy were GREAT! Nice balanced and well made drink. They use mixes and syrups but someone knows what they are doing. The menu is extensive, almost intimidating for me. There are vegetarian options and everything is customizable. There were fish and seafood options as well. My special enchilada was in a cheese sauce served with rice and other fixins. The rice left a lot to be desired but it was ok. The cheese sauce it really good but I had to limit due to lactose issues. The salsa's were pretty good too. I was expecting a chunky canned salsa but no. I believe they make their own salsas, mild and hot. I like their hot sauce selections too, real heat. I may not be back for a while but I'll be back. This place is cool with me. Oh and they have a bar, so yeah I'll be back.

This could been a good meal except they couldn't get it off the grill so as not to burn it. There's no excuse for burning chicken or vegetables on the grill. The The atmosphere was dead nonexistent in the Decor was tired.

So wanted to get some Mexican But being new to lansing didn't know of any taquerias so went here When ordering we got it to go My gf ordered two tacos he asked crunchy or soft tacos She got crunchy I order a combo plate which had a taco in it He didn't asked me which kind I wanted We get home and I go to eat the taco let me say the taco shell is like a pre made taco shell from the store Mine was soggy and falling apart Which made it uhm kinda uneatable Prices are way over priced So will not be going back

This place was ok. I got the verde burrito and it was pretty small and didn't have a lot of verde sauce ... Got my one year old the quesadilla and cheese enchilada off the kids menu and it was pretty lack luster. I would go back but I am still looking for a Mexican place in Lansing that I can really "sing" about:-(

I think I take bad reviews of a place on Yelp as a personal challenge, much like all of my airline pilots like to take turbulence as a personal challenge. By reading the reviews on this site, I decided to give it my own shot considering they were old. Whatever the beef with this place, maybe they read their own reviews and have made the necessary corrections because I had a wonderful dining and inviting experience. From the awesome monster margarita, to the delicious and portion-nuts molcajete, everything from the service to the environment was great. Time heals all wounds. And sometimes, time allows an establishment to plus their brand. As far as I'm concerned, for the money, I got an awesome meal experience, awesome service, and left feeling better for it. Give this another look before you believe the haters.

LOVE! Super fast service which helps when you have a baby with you! Excellent margaritas and beer! Their enchiladas are my FAVORITE! I used to question whether to go to Cancun or here but now I DON'T even question it. Had a bad experience with Cancun last time so now we go here by default. Never have to wait either! Thank you Los Tres!!!

Pretty good authentic Mexican food with a huge menu. Large bar in front and a really cool fountain when you walk in. All the seats and tables are hand carved and painted, imported from Mexico. Very neat experience.

Strangest, least-appetizing tasting margaritas I've ever had. Clearly from a pre-made industrial mix, nothing that tasted at all like real limes whatsoever. And even worse, served so WARM I had to add ice from my water glass just to make it at all drinkable. Seriously, how hard is it to squeeze some fresh limes and add tequila? Total fail on that point and I forgot I'd had the same experience a year before at their South Cedar location. Never again. That said, the food? Is I guess acceptable basic/Americanized Mexican as you'd expect in any suburban area. I ordered a Shrimp a la Diabla and got the Shrimp al Mojo de Ajo instead (new waitress, I wasn't going to make a fuss, although I could have but I was HUNGRY and hate to see food wasted.) It was ok, served with standard rice and guac and salad greens. All in all, nothing to write home about and I'd put up with mediocre Mexican food if they could make a margarita that didn't just taste like chemicals. But alas, apparently they can't so this was likely my one and only visit to this location (and the last time I'll give Los Tres Amigos a try while in the Lansing area.)

Don't have too much to say about this place other than it's better Mexican food than I'd expect to find in Michigan. I'm from Southern California where we practically invented Mexican food, so maybe I'm a little spoiled :D It's a cheap sit-down lunch that'll definitely fill you up for ~$10. No complaints.

This place is so fast you could easily go there for lunch & make it back to work with time to spare! (if you work in Delta Township that is) they have a great selection of Mexican food here. The quality is good and I much prefer this place to Famous Taco or Cancun. Lots of choices for vegetarians. Try the potato enchiladas, they are my favorite. Don't forget to save room for dessert, the flan is nice & light even if you don't have much room left.

Los Tres has several locations throughout the Lansing area. I think they are all about the same. Yummy free chips and salsa and fast service. I went for lunch the other day- the special was $1 cup of chicken tortilla soup. The soup was very tasty and had huge chunks of chicken. It was a little greasy, but not too bad. Everything I have eaten there is delicious. My favorite is the chicken chillaquilles! They have happy hour specials and really tasty margaritas.

Horrible service at this location on 3/10/12! Rude waiter. Rushed us to order drinks & food. Hair was in food. We were asked to show/prove it! Then manager said all the cooks are bald! Wow! Never again here.

When I had just moved here from Mount Pleasant this was one of my first meals. I had heard rave reviews from a lot of people and wanted to see if it stacked up. It definitely did. The chips were great, the salsa was okay ( a little watery) but it was a great way to start the meal. Our waiter was quick and brought our drinks immediately and our food was at the table within 10 minutes. Everyone's food looked great and I will definitely be checking out their other locations.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
