I wish I could say I like this place...Its a cozy locals kind of place...but we've eaten here twice and both times the food (fish n chips) today...and (burger n fries) last time ...were pretty bad. Absolutely no effort or care put into either meal. Both seemed to be from frozen and re heated then thrown on a plate... Service was robotic. We tried it twice...won't be back a third time.

I'll say this about Airport Tavern... it's one of the most least pretentious establishments I've ever dined in. This is a restaurant my fiance and I go to ONLY when the following elements combine: 1. Neither one of us want to spend more than $20.00 eating out. 2. We don't want any thing exotic - just bar food or a burger. 3. It's blizzarding outside, and we don't want to drive far from home. 4. We're feeling grungy. Airport Tavern packs no punch, has no frills, and doesn't care whether or not the borderline unprofessional wait staff comes off as rude or lazy. It's not really charming... but it is tolerable. It's definitely a spot for locals - a kind of place where they know your name or face if you've been there a handful of times. The food tastes like something your friend might cook if you're over and they're not quite prepared to cook a dinner if you stay later than usual. Or something like that. Very homecooked - not like mom's though - just easily made. You'll find bagged salads, bar food like fried mushrooms and wings, and a small menu of steaks and chicken dinners. We've never had any thing remarkable to eat here BUT we've never had any thing bad, either. Just, honestly, meh, like the rating states.

Never had their steaks, but the beef for their burgers tastes fresh. Kind of a locals place, they have a patio that overlooks an industrial park. Not outstanding, but if you're on the north side stop in and try for yourself.

I had the corned beef and cabbage on st pats day and it was delicious and drink prices are very reasonable

Great place to dine! Fast and friendly service, food tastes awesome, and the price is right. I eat there a couple times a week and would definitely recommend this place to everyone. The steaks are very tender and you can't beat the price, the wetburrito is my favorite on the whole menu.

This is literally the "nothing to write home about" dining establishment. The place is smokey and the food is mediocre, but it is cheap and there are always coupons in the mail. Don't expect any fireworks, tasty treats or great service. You may want to lean toward something that you know can't be ruined that badly in a kitchen. I wasn't mortified by any means, but I wouldn't go back.
