This place is five stars for multiple reasons. 1) owner remembers everyone 2) bahn mi sandwich is the best thing ever 3) he does everything 4) he alters spicy ness to your liking 5) decent tap selection Now yes, you may wait long periods of time for stuff. He is alone, but it is worth the wait. If you are in a hurry I guess you need to go somewhere else that sucks.

Never has a Bahn Mi been crafted so gracefully. The precision that this man's skilled and loving hand put this sandw...no, it's too easy to call this masterpiece as sandwich, it's more than that. This Bahn Mi comes to your house dressed up and looking good, ready to take you out but you no longer want to go out. You want to stay in. It caresses your taste buds ever so lightly at first, the marinated pork and fresh vegetables dancing on your tongue, then things really heat up. The jalapeños are starting to make you sweat and that sauce, where is all of this flavor coming from?! Before you know what all is happening you've finished and your Bahn Mi is gone. Now you're all alone with only a memory of the most satisfying time in your life.

We stopped in here on our mini honeymoon after reading great reviews and we were NOT disappointed one bit. We were greeted nicely, given great recommendations, and the food was outstanding. We travel all over to try new and exciting food places and this is one place we would definitely recommended. We will miss this place as we travel back to the east side. Get the VB6 and bahn mi!

This place became one of my favorite place to dine in Holland. Has has very good and authentic Vietnamese and Thai food. Everything I had here was delicious, love the spring salad rolls, beef and meat ball Pho, VB5( grilled shrimp and pork, deep fried egg rolls and vegetables on top of rice noodles), VH13( Vietnamese style stir fry noodles with beef and veggies). Oh, the Bamh Mi Sandwich is awesome, it's to die for. And, they have great beer selections and full bar, cocktails are good too, nice pool tables, friendly service. Good place to hangout, to dine and drink.

It may not be obvious from the name and signage but this is the only place to get Vietnamese in Holland (or anywhere nearby) and they really pretty good. The Bahn Mi, Pho and Noodle Salad are excellent and the bubble tea is good too. The other thing to note is the place is half Asian restaurant half pool hall, same food and same staff on either side. I know it doesn't make sense, but I totally love this place. They serve American and Mexican food too, it looks good when other people order it, but we've always stuck with the Vietnamese fare.

Came here previously and was not a good experience came back and was very good I had pho soup with meatballs. Just what I wanted!! Even owner commented and said he remembered is and was hoping we would come back. It was a nice experience we will return

We were visiting from Miami and wanted to catch a World Cup game, so we found shooters, expecting very little from the food. When we realized they served Vietnamese food, we were definitely curious because of the unlikely combo of sports bar and Asian food. We order beers and the bahn mi, and OMG it was amazing. We love Vietnamese food and eat plenty but had never tried bahn mi,. We all looooved it, and that said al lot bc the other people I was with all complete foodies. The owner was so helpful and patient (we came with 3 young children) and had been on the road all day so they were wild, but he was great. We sampled several draft beers, and he accommodated us with out any issue. We also saw others with delicious looking pad Thai and stirfry dishes that I wished we had tried. This place left me searching the Miami area for a place that can do bahn mis as well as this unlikely spot! If I ever make it back to the saugatuck/holland area, I will be back!

I ordered three Combination Pho to go the other day. The man over the phone said it would take 25 minutes. That sounded perfect, because I was going to pick the order up on the way to work. When I arrived, the same man was at the bar running Keno slips for other customers. When I told him I was there for my order, he told me it was done, but he just had to bag them for me... Which was a total lie! I stood there for almost 10 minutes before I looked into the kitchen to see him scurrying to make my order. I was disappointed to see that the broth used for the soup was pre-packaged and stored in the refrigerator. I wanted to walk out because at this point, because i was going to be late for work. When i looked at my phone, my call log said I placed the call 45 mins ago! He sees me and tells me it's done. So I wait (not wanting to be rude). Since the broth was refrigerated, it had to be reheated when I got to work.. The meat was spoiled and disguised under the almost rotten garnishes. The quality of food there has gone WAY down since it originally opened at a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant. Not to mention, I paid $30 for three orders of indelible pho. What a rip off! I don't know what the rest of the menu tastes like anymore, but I would not recommend the pho to anyone! I would've rated this a zero stars if I could have.

This place is an odd combo of a sports bar and a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant and this brief review is only for the restaurant side. We had a Pho and a Wonton style soup and a Cha Gio style spring roll (the one with just the shrimp inside). All were good, but a bit on the pricey side (approx $10 for a bowl of soup, at least a couple bucks too high IMHO). I've had better Pho (rice noodles were a bit mushy) but the soup base was flavorful and overall it was good. For the price, I give it 3 stars. I'd give it 4 if the price was better.

If you're making a visit to holland, Shooter's is the place to go! The food here is amazing and is totally worth the wait! The numerous pool tables along with the many t.v.'s with various channels going are more than enough to keep you busy as the owner prepares your meal to perfection. It is true you will be remembered each and everytime you come in. I only wish we had a shooter's in grand rapids.. my friends and I love a place that we come in and feel important. We can count on quality service and a good laugh. I strongly suggest visiting Kam and his wonderful business! :-)

Once a year we drive up to Michigan and rent a beach house with my in-laws. Most of the food options in the area are pretty limited. Some great pizza, and local junk food treats like Pronto Pups and Ray's, but it was only over the past two years that we came across some excellent Thai food at Thai Palace, and now the fantastic bahn mi sandwiches at Shooters. It's an odd place, with a bar and eating area separated by several pool tables, but very clean and bright. That doesn't affect the bahn mi, which are succulent as heck. Seems they only have a pork option for now--I'd love to see a vegetarian version for my relatives (and me, for that matter; I like variety). Delicious, and the fellow who served me was pleasant and efficient. I'm going back for more next year.

Shooters is a bar & grill, as well as a Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. This review is only for the restaurant. I had the egg rolls, the pho and a taste of the coconut tapioca drink. The egg rolls were good, the pho was decent for Holland, and the tapioca drink had really hard tapiocas. A friend had a rice dish, which seemed to be quite delicious. I'd like to go back, and try their rice plates, but I'll wait til I go to the West Coast to have pho.
