Wendy’s

Why in the hell would anybody be compelled to write a review about a mega-chain fast food restaurant? Aren't they all the same level of terrible? Until I experienced the drive thru at this particular Wendy's, I would answer yes to these questions. But this Wendy's changed everything. Everything. Out of all the American fast food choices one has when driving around any city in this country, I would say Wendy's is your best bet. You can tell by comparing the smell emitted from a Wendy's with the stench Burger King gives off. Within a mile of a Burger King, I just want to vomit. Always stand upwind of that god-forsaken establishment. Wendy's, however, actually smells like they are making real food, and that's a good sign. I usually use the drive-thru, and every single visit, the employees move at the speed of freakin' light. It's downright incredible. Let me explain. I pull up to the microphone, and shout out my order to a friendly voice who never gets it wrong, never misunderstands and never attempts to up-sell me. I pull up to the 1st window, and hand a smiling employee a $5 bill. They ALREADY have my change in their hands. How did they know I was going to pay in cash? In that exact amount? How do they know?! After I get over my shock at their apparent telepathic abilities, I pull up to the next window, where a second smiling employee is waiting with my order all ready go to. The entire experience takes less than a minute, no matter the size of the order, and I'm not joking. If Dave Thomas were still alive, I would personally write to him and demand these employees receive a raise.

I frequent McDonald's a lot and this store never makes errors. It is the store that I get my coffee on my way to work at 3. After work, 11:30, I stop in to get a coffee and food sometimes. The lady who works back drive-thru, Sally, is the nicest person in the world. At night, orders are distributed one car at a time, for security reasons I suspect. Sally will inquire about my wife and my day to make the wait less of a wait. The manager at this store has one hell of a crew. Good job guys.

We're visiting Holland and decided to try the El Rancho Mexican Grill. The chips and salsa were awesome. Chips served warn and the salsa was very fresh and tasty. We ordered the fajitas for two for $24 and they were delicious and plentiful. Service was spectacular even though they were very busy. We will definitely eat here again when in Holland.

This place is awesome. The subs are huge, super cheap, and delicious. The owners (i think they are the owners) are really really nice. I know this kind of sounds like a fake review but i actually really love it. Very small, very casual, but beats subway or blimpie any day. Also, great American bagel just across the street is really good.

Love, love this place! I felt like I living in a storyline right out of a book. I came in and felt like I was like Goldilock. It wasn't hipster, not trendy, but just right with this comfortable ambiance of feeling like I was at home. I love all the signs hanging around inside, and Carol is the best! I believe she is what makes this coffee shop. I love her personality. She is fun and sweet, and she knows everyone by name. While sitting there for my first time, I met Kevin, Larry, Steve, and Frank. They love to talk trash and hit each other back with one liners and comebacks. I tried the coffee of the month the dark chocolate raspberry mocha and had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. It was delicious! I even came back and brought my family the second time and had the Italian wrap, and it was delicious! The had the Carmello and it was awesome! Carol even made a white chocolate pumpkin spice latte for my mom and it wasn't on the menu. It was creative, fun, and on the spot. Oh, and the Cappuccino chocolate chip muffin was to die for! I just wish this shop was closer to my parent's house!
Way Cup is the perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Carol is friendly and personable. I love the vegan chili and the kona shakes!
Love this place! Whenever I'm in town, I always insist on stopping by at least once. Their tea smoothies and Carmellos are awesome. Their drive thru is super convenient to grab a great cup of coffee to go.

We were headed to Tunnel Park for the afternoon and wanted to have lunch at the beach. The downtown area was crowded and we didn't want to fight the crowds and hunt for a parking place. Pulling up Yelp on my phone I saw this place and was happy that it was slightly out of the downtown area. Walking into the store I knew right away that Yelp had not let us down. The store was super cute, very clean and everything was so fresh. We ordered two sandwiches and got two cookies all for a reasonable price. I chose tuna salad and got it on a wrap instead of bread. Hubby doesn't care about carbs and got a turkey sandwich. I stole a bite of his and quickly realized the bread was amazing and would have been worth the carbs! The best part of the experience was chatting with the two ladies as they were making the sandwiches. Genuinely nice people that care about your experience in their store. I will definitely return the next time I'm in town! Perfect place to pick up lunch for the beach.
This little place is just outside of downtown Holland and offers many fantastic sandwich choices. My favorite is a sandwich the owner makes for me in the mornings that is egg, cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, onion on whatever bread I choose. It is always made perfectly and she is so nice and accommodating. They have a section where you can purchase meats, cheeses and salads. The baked goods are out of this world. You can't go wrong here for breakfast, lunch or just a snack. They also cater as well. I highly recommend JK's if you are in Holland and want something delicious that won't break the bank.
This place went above and beyond my expectations. The homemade sandwiches were absolutely amazing. They have different fresh bread everyday if the week, a salad bar and various desserts. They also have ice cream, fruit smoothies, and a full coffee/espresso setup. I'm loving this place and will definitely be back soon!

We're told it'd be 15 minutes to get a seat....30 minutes later, blood pressure is rising. If I don't get food soon, this guy is going to collapse. Well folks, it was worth the wait (and 'weight', for that matter) for the deliciousness of this grub. B.A.T. sandwich...yes please. Bacon, egg, arugula, tomatoes, cheese. Yeah, it was good. Wife got, what appeared to be their version of a Grand Slam, you know, the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, etc. She said it was fantastic. The final stop at their bakery before leaving (donuts, cookies, breads) was to get diabetic delights for the next few days.
Great hometown diner. Quick, polite service. Good food. Good atmosphere. When we walked in they tossed us a free loaf of bread. I assume this isn't normal but it was a nice first time experience! We ordered 2 of the 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and bacon meal. It was huge. We could have easily split one dish. We also got a cinnamon roll. It was delicious. We will be visiting anytime we are in Holland. Highly recommend.
We have a problem with forgetting this little place is around because of the location, but by the lack of parking spaces available when they are open we are in the minority. The few times we have had breakfast here we have been pleased! Favorites include the New Amsterdam omelet, the Blue Raspberry Bliss Cakes and the Twee Gezusters (although I like to ask for hollandaise on mine)! And I think there is a law that says you must order the Pigs-in-a-Blanket when you eat here, they are delicious and flaky! A customer at the table next to us ordered the Sugar Bread, I think I want to try that next time! If you are not in the mood for a sit down breakfast, you can pick up a pastry from the bakery, but if you want a donut get there early as they sell out fast!

How can you not like this place. Great yogurt 14 flavors and 2 smoothie ones. I love the orange and birtday cake not to mention other flavors. Plenty of toppings. Bright and cheery pkace with orange everywhere!
This place was really busy on a weeknight, probably a function of summer tourists. The line moved quickly, and there was lots of storefront gazing to do in the neighborhood. At OLFY, it's SO tempting to try everything and wind up feeling like you've had nothing memorable. I stick with simple flavor combinations: wedding cake and dark chocolate chips is pretty good.
Orange leaf has a great selection of delicious flavors as well as a great variety of candy toppings and sauces. Staff is always very friendly and polite and willing to dole out samples. Eating space is clean and comfortable.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to discover this ice cream. It's been made in Michigan for a very long time and is really delicious. A friend brought some tubs to a dinner at our house recently, and it's the only brand I will eat now. I love being able to buy something so extraordinary that is made locally: Cream from Michigan dairies, Michigan cherries in the Grand Traverse Bay Cherry Fudge, Michigan blueberries in the Blueberry Cobbler, the Fudge in the Mackinac Island Fudge; well, you get the idea. But the best thing is, there are soooo many creamy and wonderful flavors. If you all have known about this forever, I guess I apologize for being Johnny-Come-Lately, but I wish someone would have told me sooner! And oh yes, I've found it at Hiller's, Busch's, and Kroger. Amazing to find a locally crafted product in the supermarket.
Was looking for a chocolate ice cream. Found this Hudsonville sleeping bear chocolate. Never saw this brand or flavor before. The taste and flavor of the chocolate was right on! Excellent! Rich strong chocolate flavor. For a chocolate lover this was the best I've had out of a grocery store.
This is my first time trying Hudsonville ice cream. I purchased the Grand Traverse Bay Cherry Fudge ice cream at Jewel food store. Omg it is awesome!! I am looking forward to trying their other flavors.
