Pereddies Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I went there for a large group gathering and they stuck us in the crowded back room that looked like a place where people played poker or held meetings. Zero ambience We had one waiter for a group of about 40 so needless to say there was a wait for everthing even though we ordered off a preset menu. The food was just ok since like I said we ordered off a preset menu. The restaurant itself is a lovely place just don't recommend their banquet room or whatever it is.

I don't understand the great reviews on this place! I guess I've only been here once and should probably give it another chance, but... My first experience was horrible! Food was middle of the road and the waitstaff was so rude! The meal I ordered came with a salad, I informed the waitress that I didn't want the salad, she informed me that is was free and it wasn't going to cost me anything. I look at her oddly and replied, I don't like salads! Did she think I was worried about the cost of salad!?? I felt like the entire staff acted as though they were above doing their job!

The lost authentic italian you will find in the holland area....shop up front is nice although didn't give 5 stars as the overall layout is cramped in both the shop and restaurant/bar.

We're old hands at Pereddies Restaurant and the Scusi Bar - a really great neighborhood hangout. The Scusi Bar has a very nice addition behind the counter with Ashley. Not only does Ashley actually recall what you ordered the last time, but she is so peppy, friendly and customer oriented. What a nice laugh. She is a real find and hope she stays. Come to think about it, the owners should consider varying the happy hour menu from time to time.

We we're confused the moment we walked in. Is it a cafe or a grocery store? Then you get to the back and it's like they we're trying to do fine dining. It was cluttered/cramped yet parts of the place were cute. The visit really wasn't that bad until checking out the deli... Condensation in the fridge and drips of water over the food. Too bad because some of those pasta dishes looked really good. :(

Celebrated my parents 50th here and the restaurant went above and beyond to make it a special time for us all! The food and service was impeccable!! We look forward to our next visit!

Back when I ate grains, I loved their pesto pasta. But nowadays I go for the meats and cheeses! This evening my husband and I shared the Brie and the Antipasto. I probably wouldn't get the latter again because it's very heavy on the veggies and crackers, and very light on the meats and cheeses. The Brie is a pretty small serving as well - it's definitely on the pricey size considering the portions. Last time I was here I really enjoyed the Sausage and Fennel, as well!

Lived in Holland my whole life and finally decided to try it out... Food was fine~not great~not bad, portions were small, and prices high. The area we sat in was in very poor shape. The umbrellas, ceiling fans (and most everything else), were covered in years worth of dust and stains and there is an obvious leak coming through the ceiling that appears to have been there for quite some time. A thorough cleaning and some building repairs would make a world of difference as far as atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and did an excellent job so that makes it easier to ignore all of the other shortcomings.

Located in Washington Square in Holland Michigan, this Italian eatery is tucked away in the heart of Holland. It had been 15-20 years since my previous visits and it did not disappoint. It was as fantastic as I remembered it was. The restaurant side is old style elegant, but not in a pretentious way. They also have a bar side that looked more modern and looked like a great place to have an appetizer, share a dessert or a drink with a friend or a date. They also have a deli section that offers meats, cheeses, breads, stuffed olives and desserts. Our food was out of this world, We had Scallops and Lobster Risotto, sausage rigatoni and chicken saltimbocca. We finished it up by taking some Tiramisu home. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back soon! Well done Pereddies!

Only ate here once and it was carryout. A local took me here. I could do without the overpriced soups/salads/sandwiches. Food was OK. They have a cute sit down area. Not sure if food is any better there.

Keep in mind, I've never eaten here in the "restaurant" side. I go to Perredies for lunch often and order from the deli. I've never, ever, been disappointed. I love this place. Pine Nut Pesto is one of my favorite meals, period.

Just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a quiet dinner for two at the quaint and attentive pereddies. I was so pleased with everything. The Sauvignon blanc was superb. I ordered the salmon with veggie medley. I was pleasantly surprised that the veggies were grilled and seasoned beautifully. And it was a relief that the salmon was not overcooked - oh joy to have food carefully prepared! Hubby ordered the special and it was. Portions were just right. Thanks pereddies for a fantastic experience

We arranged to meet friends at the restaurant as we had previously had great meals. This time it was such a disappointment . We tried two pasta dishes and scallops . The scallops and risotto had Little flavor . The pasta was dry and bland. Our friends left most of their meal. We then thought we would try dessert. None were made In House. They also ran out of splits of Prcessco . The water was very nice and the atmosphere is charming but the food left much to be desired.

My most recent visit to Pereddies was mediocre at best. The attentiveness of the bartender/server was miserable, however she was very attentive to her friends sitting at the bar. The food arrived luke warm and dry. The server seemed put out when I asked for salt/pepper and parmesan and never offered bread and olive oil. BTW, her friends got all the condiments they needed. Probably not going back again for quite awhile. Its really to bad customer service has gotten this bad.

We have been to the restaurant several times. This visit, made reservations and were seated quickly. It took "too long" to take a drink order, even longer for drink delivery. Once we ordered, it took a while to get our salads, then close to an hour to get our food. The restaurant was buy, but that doesn't explain some of the shortfalls. In addition, during that time, there were very limited interactions from our waitress. And as one person noted, not a smile on their faces. We find the food great, atmosphere and decor pleasant, pricing reasonable, market fun. But this is the second time that we received lower than average service and attention. They should consider some adjustments on the service side.

We visited for the first time with another couple for dinner at 8pm on a Saturday. We were very happy with the quality of the food and wine that we ordered, the value, and the atmosphere. We had a reservation and had to wait a couple of minutes, but that was actually kind of nice, since you can drool over the dessert case and browse their retail food shop while you wait. Can't give it 5 stars, though, because the service experience was disappointing. It was definitely efficient, but our server honestly did not smile a single time during our visit. It actually put a damper on our experience - we talked about it at the table - and led me to notice that NONE of the staff were smiling, including the hostess. Granted, it was the evening after Valentine's Day, and perhaps they had been swamped that day, or earlier that evening, but while we were there only about half the tables were full, so it was hard to say what was going on. It's just hard to have a really positive experience when the staff seem so depressed.

The last time we went here I got the lasagne, it looked delicious covered in marinara with melted mozz on top BUT on the first bite and further inspection this lasagne was old with a rubbery texture. It seemed like they were disguising the (few too many days) old dish with fresh sauce and cheese. Unacceptable! It was quite high priced too. They do have delicious homemade breads and desserts. The atmosphere isn't real warm and inviting, tired outdated old world decor, uncomfy chairs. Based on the bad food experience alone, I won't patronize this place anytime soon.

Love this place. Favorite is coming to the Scusi Bar and enjoying some happy hour time. The bartenders are always attentive and the food is super fresh. And they always accommodate.

OMG... super cute Italian bistro and market with great deli counter and fresh baked bread and desserts! We were in a rush so opted to order take-out from the counter. Friendly, genuine service. chatted with the lady whilst waiting our lunches, she gave us a sliced pepperoni roll to munch on during our tour of Hope. (perfect snack for car ride home) Yummy! my Marco Polo panini was fantastic. My daughter enjoyed her all hens on deck sandwich and inhaled her red velvet cookie. we will be back every time in area... can't wait to dine here. very charming.

I came in today when they were just opened about a half an hour. If took a bit to get some help, and I had to ask for a menu. I was seated in the bar section, and every table in the section was dirty. The waitress cleaned off my little table, brought me my coffee and Pepperoni Roll, and forgot me. I have been here 40 minutes, and the area is still dirty, and I have never got a refill or asked if I wanted anything else. I was going to get a tiramisu.... I fail to see the hype. I have been here twice, the food is four star, the service three, the cleanliness two star, and the only thing five star about this place is the prices. I will never return.

Literally everything we ordered for our luncheon was delicious. I wanted to share with everyone. ;) I had the salmon because I was trying to be all healthy, but it still felt like a treat because it was so well seasoned and the broccoli was buttery and delicious without being doused. While it seemed too sweet and rich to be a main dish, I highly recommend the brie & gorgonzola quesadillas... it sounds intriguing and was a good plate to share or have as dessert. Prices are reasonable (lunch menu was $12 and under for full meals, including steak!) and the garlic butter bread needs no condiments. It is crispy, chewy, melty goodness... :) Love it!

Great little Italian cafe. You can't go wrong with the Romano sandwich if you love Caprese salad. The deli counter and store have a lot to offer too.

Tried this place for the first time the other night and had a great dinner. It was super crowded and we were asked if we had reservations, we did not, but were seated immediately despite not calling ahead. We were shoved in a small corner next to a window behind another table, so it was awkward getting in and out of the table, but we were happy to have gotten seated right away. The food was delicious, I had lasagna and my boyfriend had steak. We both really enjoyed our meals. The service was so-so, the waitress wasn't very attentive, but like I said, it was very busy. We also had dessert, chocolate cake which was great. We'll definitely be coming back here soon!

We love the scusi bar and happy hour specials. The food is fresh, staff is always awesome and the service is great!!! I have never had anything I didn't like and the chef's are willing to tweak anything they have to accomodate your pallet. We go to Pereddies multiple times a month.

Though I'm not a pasta fan, this place could change my taste buds. After a long day at work, 7 of us dropped in for dinner. Every plate was a winner topped off by a nice selection of wine. We had the shank, fish, pasta and more. Great meal. Great evening.

Highly recommend this place for a great Italian restaurant. They have an authentic deli when you walk in. Getting seated is a little confusing, but once you find that entrance to the restaurant in the back of the deli, it's well worth it. We were seated at a location where we could see the entire restaurant and watched people as they got sat. The decoration didn't match the quality of food they were serving. Everything we ordered was delicious! Had a sausage pasta and a Gorgonzola pasta and all the flavors matched well and was awesome. The decor was very outdated with grape vines on the wall and tresses with vines and Christmas lights above you. Service was professional and the food was good. Period. The price reflects the quality and this a great restaurant.

Although slightly pricey this is a really authentic Italian restaurant. The deli is great as is the bar. Holland needs more places like this.

The desserts are fantastic. Pastas are all good. Might want to have a reservation though. We went once without a reservation and lucked out because they had some bar tables available just outside the dinning area. Be aware that when you walk in, there is a mini grocery store in the front, and you don't expect a restaurant to be all the way around the corner past the grocery store and bar area.

Cold Peroni. Farmers market vegetables. Personal touch. Fun atmosphere. Really nice people. Pereddies is very local and a real gem. Located at Washington and 18th in Holland. Each dish is individually prepared with a fresh southern Italian flare. If you are visiting Holland go where the locals go....Pereddies.

Authentic upscale Italian with a great wine list all in a European setting. Adjacent to an amazing deli with gourmet & Italian specialty food. Don't miss the homemade desserts if you still have room!

This is one of Holland's local gems. Always dependably good. Upscale Italian, great wine, charming decor, fantastic service. The pasta is always incredible but I usually get the small plate without the pasta and it's always enough. Upgrade your salad to the Gorgonzola salad...heaven on a plate. They make their own bread and it is sinfully good. No more chains for Italian, we always take out of town friends here and they rave about it.

The Wife and I drove out to Holland for date night and hoped there would be some availability with no notice, which fortunately there was. (gotta keep up appearances, right? :) j/k hun..) I used to come here fairly often for lunch, maybe once or twice a month, but has been a couple of years since then. As always the service was very good and the food excellent. We split the Caprese salad for starters, and then a green salad each. I had the lamb chops and The Wife had chicken vesuvio. Both were excellent. Attire is casual, but customers here tend to be better dressed. Shirt and tie not required, but I've not seen too many t-shirt and jeans folks. The only thing that has every struck me as pricey has been the house wines by the glass. Our tab for the meal, along with vino by the glass (4), one dessert, and gratuity was $100. Not a bad deal.

We had a great dinner here over the 4th of July weekend. It's a hidden gem in Holland. We've been to Holland many times now and never found this area. Service was great, ambience was wonderful, and the food was done very capably. We loved the sausage and fennel appetizer so much that they made us up a set of the ingredients and wrote down the preparation so we could share it with our friends who were joining us the next day. They even included the secret ingredient to finish off the fennel (starts with S, ends in A, and has an AMBUC in the middle). We will definitely return here on our future visits to Holland.

This is a great Italian restaurant in the old Holland circle. I have been here at least a dozen times, each time has been a great experience. The food, service and ambience are all above average. Next time I will be getting a bottle of Chianti so I can see it hanging from the ceiling:). Enjoy!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
