Wow, their large burrito is no joke. My husband got this thinking he can take the left overs to work. He probably has enough for the next two days. The price was very good for everything you get. I got a quesadilla which was huge and the chicken as perfectly seasoned. I also had the tortilla soup which was very good. I think this place kicks any burritos place ass.

The 16 inch all beef Barito with everything is off the chain! It can feed three!! They made it right in front of me fresh :)

My girlfriend and I stopped by here after perusing through Yelp and I thought the name sounded funny. I really have nothing to say against the food. For the price, the quality and quantity was excellent! We shared one of the smaller wet fat burritos, and it more than filled us up. So good, I highly recommend the Fat Burrito!

Let me start by saying that I love the food. But... this place has an identity crisis. Mayan temples are painted on the walls which encase booths al la big boy and coffee shop tables? Then there's the logos and menus...how many fonts can be used without breaking the law?

Very good - not the crappy chain Qdoba stuff... nuff said about that - try the Shanahan or the taco plate - awesome - I have not had a bad meal there - very good hot sauce and frienldy service - can't go wrong.

My sister introduced me to this place a while back and I've been back a few times since. As the name of the restaurant implies and the pictures that some Yelpers have posted they specialize in huge burritos. They taste real good and are very reasonably priced when you consider each one is enough for 2 people to have enough to fill up. The problem for me is that they do taste real good so although my brain tells me to only eat half of it and take the rest home for another meal I always get carried away and eat the entire thing. There are 2 reasons I'm only rating this 4 stars instead of 5. First and most importantly is that yes, the flavors are real good but they just don't make me sit back and say wow that was fantastic. The second reason is that although there is nothing bad about the service here there isn't a particularly friendly feeling to the place. They are definitely not rude or anything, but it seems like when it comes to serving the customers with a smile they just do what is required. Thankfully I don't live real close to here or I'd be a whole lot fatter than I already am.

Yum!! Skip the same old - same old Qdoba, and cross the street to Fat Burrito. You won't be sorry! We split a 12 inch Shanahan and were both plenty full! Guac is good, but I prefer mine chunkier.

I had a steak burrito, so good. Be aware, the 16" is HUGE. The sauce on the smothered seems to fall somewhere between Mole & Enchilada. Thanks for the tip yelp

The name of this restaurant does not lie! We stopped here randomly during a motorcycle ride, great authentic food. The employee even made some special order VERY hot sauce for my husband, he was super happy! You will not go home hungry.

I love the Fat Burrito! Their portions are huge but if you get a mini burrito that will save your waistline. They also offer a "slim" menu where you can get a 10" burrito and it is still filling. I've also had the slim quesadilla and it is delicious. The Rachero Salad is very fresh and amazing. All of the ingredients are fresh and prices are very reasonable. This place trumps Qdoba across the street. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We stopped here on a whim and will be back. Soon. Food was delicious, environment was awesome and the staff were ridiculously friendly. If nothing else we will be back to see the friendly and helpful staff.

Had the burrito it was good but over time they lost their seasoning! The chicken was dry and burned. Asada was good but also a little too burned!

Ground beef seasoning is blah.. Burrito sauce tastes more like tomato paste than seasoned sauce.. Portions are about the only thing going for it.

Fat Burrito is a staple in my diet and it puts other burrito chain restaurants (QDoba, Chipotle) to shame. Don't let the name fool you into thinking it's all about size... these guys use fresh/quality ingredients.

The Fat Burrito have HUGE burritos. I liked my second experience there, however it wasn't as good as the first time I was there. I actually like Qdoba witch is right across the street a lot better.

I love Fat Burrito and it's become a regular stop whenever in Holland. The atmosphere isn't anything special, but there's just something about the food that keeps me coming back for more. Prices are extremely fair. I think it's a bit cheaper than the nearby Qdoba, and it's great to support a locally owned business. Their menu offers more variety, but if you are into more of the specialty offerings at Qdoba (poblano pesto, ancho BBQ, etc.), you won't find them here. Unless you're super hungry, stick with a mini burrito (12" tortilla). I normally order a mini veggie burrito and have leftovers. The onions and peppers are sauteed when you order, so everything is hot & fresh. My only complaint is that the rice can be kind of mushy. The best part of Fat Burrito is the green salsa; it's tangy tomatillo flavor is a very nice addition - definitely try some!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
