Fish taco Friday, best in town. Cod or shrimp...so good! Nice work guys! More great items on an already fantastic menu.

This place was great. Super quick and everything tasted great. I had the carnitas and my son had the steak. He thought it was a little spicy, but he is hot a wuss. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.

Fast, affordable, and yummy! Funny story -- when I went in for the first time with a friend, I think Hope College's men's soccer team had walked in for dinner. Hey, if 20+ hungry boys picked this place to go to as opposed to another place closer to campus, then you know it's good!

This place is the bomb. Delicious, fast, and friendly can't ask for anything better. I go here about once a week. If you don't like this place then you probably also hate puppies and babies. And that's sad ;)

This review might seem a tad bit bitchy, but the service today put me in a pretty bad mood. The food was fine. I like the setup - your average extremely fast takeout Mexican fare on par with the larger chains (Qdoba and Chipoltle). I like that it's a local business, and would probably choose this place over the other mega-corps. I ordered 1 grilled chicken taco and an order of 8 oz. guacamole and chips. The guy behind the sneeze guard misunderstood and thought I just wanted a little side of guac for a dollar instead of the 8 oz. Not a big deal...well, it shouldn't have been. They were out of the large orders of guacamole, and asked if they could just give me a ton of the little ones. I told them I was going to eat it on the beach, and that might be a little difficult to dip the chips. The guy acted like it was a huuuuge inconvenience to have to scoop the guac from all the little orders and put it in a big container. If you aren't going to do it, who do you think will? Yeah, me. At this point, I only had a small order of chips (about 10) and a large order of guac, so I asked for some more. You could just see it on his face that he wanted to tell me to get bent. At the checkout, I asked the cashier for a glass of water. She grabbed one of those small plastic cups with no tops. I said I was going to drink it in my car and asked for a larger cup with a lid. The cashier then gave me the most blatant eye roll I've ever received. Over a cup?! Mind you, I remained polite the entire way through. Not once was I impatient, and thanked everyone several times. WTF was that, then? The misunderstandings and whatnot are a complete non-issue. Who cares. But the attitude I got from 2 staff members was, I felt, worth writing a bad review about. I've had about 10 food service jobs in my life. I know what it's like working at a shitty restaurant for minimum wage. When a customer is an ass, you just want to shake them. I know, I get it. Therefore, I make it a point to be polite to anybody in customer service. But these people, they can go right ahead and kiss my ass. Yeah, I asked for a lot of shit. But if they didn't mess up, I wouldn't have. If you're gonna mess up, don't get all mad when I ask for what I ordered.

Baja Grill is similar to the other casual-quick dining burrito places like Qdoba and Chipotle. We were pleasantly surprised. Quality ingredients and good flavors. $7 for a pretty good sized burrito, a handful of chips, and a soft drink! My wife had the chicken, and I had the steak. Both were very good. Our lunch-mate had the pork and was also raving about it. I'm bummed we don't have one of these in Grand Rapids. I'll be sure to stop in next time I'm in Holland. --- Update: Went back a second time tried the 'Spicy Mole' Chicken, Ground Beef, and BBQ Beef. They were good and I definitely enjoyed them, but the regular chicken and steak are by far the best meat options here.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
