In all honesty, we were not that impressed. Granted, they were hiring and needed help but there were only 5 other tables there. I won't comment too much on the service. I can say they were very nice. The place had potential but the service and food was not that good. After asking for chips and salsa twice, we finally got it and I swear it was tostitos salsa, which is decent salsa if youre grabbing for something in your fridge but not when youre out paying for your food. Then we got our food. Both meals were supposed to come with a side, but apparently the side I got was gone yet she never even came back to ask if I wanted to replace it or anything; she just brought our food as is. And the wrap I got was ok but left something to be desired. Conclusion: We wont be going back.

Ok to stop at for a few beers or if your Snowmobiling in the winter. Food is typical bar variety. Service is slow. I'm surprised it's still in business. It's not very busy usually. The restaurant right next door; Bennethum's Northern Inn, is the best in Gaylord. Go there instead and you won't be disappointed.

Went there Sunday with our two golf foursomes. it was our waiters second day and the restaurant set him up to fail. 20 minutes after 6 of our 8 got their meals someone came to check on us. We let her have it. 3 of the 6 orders were wrong. They figured out how to shut up complaining customers. There is no manager there and they can not adjust the bill because of the computer. They ruined our evening. We will never go back.

We stopped there for lunch on April 2, 2014. Great menu, atmosphere and prices. The food was excellent and the waitress was friendly.

This place is a hoot. Hubby and I stopped in when we were up North visiting family right before Christmas. The place was full of enthusiastic locals and a great 3 piece band. Sometimes stopping in a local place when you're not is awkward, but we felt very welcome.

Great! We stopped in heading up to Boyne with the kids and had a fantastic experience. They are busy so be prepared to wait... But well worth it. Don't miss it.

Great food in an awesome Saloon styled restaurant. Service was good, and the food was awesome! Loved the French Dip! Recommend to anyone in or visiting the Gaylord area.

I've eaten here several times and it was always good. It can be pretty crowded in the evenings. Mainly I"ve been there at lunch on weekdays, when it's anything but.

Went here last month for lunch and it was pretty darn good. Decided to go back with some friends for dinner tonight. What a trainwreck. We we in a great mood and gave the waitress who was new lot's of latitude...we were not in a hurry. It started to go downhill when I ordered my drink after the others already got theirs....didn't see it for 10 minutes, reminded waitress once....then again...finally went to the bar and got it myself....one order was completely incorrect and had to be started over, had to try three times for water, three times for tartar sauce, one bill was incorrectly calculated One pricey sirloin was excellent, the other poorly prepared and suspicious in flavor.. I had vodka and cranberry and was charged extra for the cranberry(!), truly a first. When I asked about it, I was asked if I would expect to get my cranberry juice for free if I went to the store. I said no ma'am, I would not and she (owner?) said "Good, I am glad we are on the same page" I said "You have juat lost a customer for good." She then said "That is fine with me." OK. Food ranges from mediocre to good, wildly inconsistent and irrational owner(?). Keep driving.

Worst restaurant experience in our 64 year-old lives! After waiting over an hour for our dinner, my second trip to the owner/manager resulted in being told to "pay for your drinks, leave, and never come back again." The owner/manager pulled his phone, said he was calling the police, to which I replied, "please do." He then grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me through the restaurant and out the door, even though I repeatedly said, "please don't touch me." We have filed a complaint with the Otsego County Sheriff and will press charges if appropriate. Avoid this place at all costs.

Stopped for lunch. Not terrible but not good either. Similar to a Ponderosa. Mediocre menu and drink list. Not bad service but somewhat slow for not too busy day during week.

Just wasted $55 on a lunch for three. Went there for wifi on a rainy day. WiFi was "down" My boys ordered pulled pork but they were "out". Ended up with $13 Chicken Caesar Salads that were way over priced. I asked to speak to the manager. He was also "out" Of course he was. Why would he hang around this dive? Got schooled in the liars and cheaters that set up money machines to lure unsuspecting vacationers. STAY AWAY

The place is awesome!! Love the food, atmosphere and people. The owner remembered me and my late husband Mark. It brought tears to me eyes. Their great people and the owner has a huge heart. I recommend you check it out.

Not a very busy crowd, maybe 1/3 full. Food quality was good, both sandwiches were hot and pretty good. However, our food took forever to get there and our appetizer arrived when we were almost finished with our entree. Nice place, but about 20% high on pricing. Would I return? I would, but not on a regular basis

If you want to take a gamble, come to the Stampede Saloon. I should warn you that I did and lost. Based on the reviews I'd say you have about a 75 percent chance of successfully getting food in this place, but much less of a chance of getting what you ordered. If that all goes well there is a small chance that you will like what you ordered. I love gambling, but the staff seemed to really resent me and my wife being there. We weren't their cell phones. I think that was the problem. On the plus side there are plenty of proper restaurants and bars in Gaylord!

Drove 8 miles to this place on a Saturday night because their website said they were open until 11 pm. We got there about 10:05 pm,and sat there, uncomfortably, for about 10 minutes before anyone approached us (the bartender stared, but never acknowledged us). Finally, a gentleman came over to break the news - despite the hours shown on their website, their kitchen closed at 10. We walked out and won't be back..

Horrible horrible horrible! If I could give it zero stars I would. Terrible food, awful service. Multiple orders screwed up. Went here with a group of 8 girls and only 3/8 orders came correct. When we complained to the manager we actually heard the waitress on the phone saying she was trying to get us out of the restaurant... We would have loved to leave if they would have just brought us the bill faster.

For bikers and golfers... Really? Yes really! Food was quite good. Lots of diced onions on my sandwich that I really loved. Owner , some total biker dude, came over and said hello. From the theme to the food and the top notch service - we left saying that this place really "gets it". We'll be back during our golf trip next year!
