The grilled fish tacos were great! Menu May be a little heavy on the deep fried items but I will definitely come back. Good clean place with honest food. Beer selection is okay.

We ended up in Gaylord by chance & needed to get dinner. We read a couple reviews for nearby restaurants & decided on Alpine Tavern based on reviews & the fact that it was "good for kids" & the description said "bring your family & friends" so we figured it would be safe to bring our two-year-old in for dinner. When we got there other people had kids & we loved the sports theme & felt we made a good choice. The group ahead of us was asked if they wanted to sit outside, but we weren't asked & figured it was because our son needed a high chair & they might not allow those outdoors-- trust me, it happens. So, the hostess decided to sit us next to a big, loud group of obnoxious drunk golfers (this was 6 in the evening) & they were dropping the "f bomb" left & right. It was a total disappointment & ruined our experience as my son is in the "repeat everything I hear" phase. It baffled me that a family with a small child would be seated there.. & had I realized sooner what a problem it was going to be I would have asked to move, but didn't want to be a pain after we had gotten drinks & an appetizer. As for the food.. the white chicken chili is DELICIOUS. Seriously, so good. My "Bella Veggie" sandwich was good, but not great. My boyfriend was extremely disappointment with the "Smothered Brisket." In his words it was "edible, but not good." My son's kids pizza was good, but I wished we could have had another option besides fruit snacks to come with it since we don't normally allow him to eat those.

Great food and excellent service. Had the burger with swiss cheese and portabella mushrooms..probably the best one I've had in a long time..We went there on a Monday evening with friends and as it wasn't busy, we had pretty fast service..wait staff very helpful and friendly..will definitely go there again..

Not sure where these good reviews are coming from. I rarely write a bad review. Good parts, place looks cool and the wait staff was ok. Now the bad, the brisket was literally gray, the fries were soggy. For a tavern, horrible draft beer selection. Man, really wanted to like this place.

Not the best service during Alpenfest...2 1/2 hours from sit down to bill. Sandwich ok...fries sat in the window too long.

We come here periodically and the food/atmosphere are great. Very appealing place, and not a boring franchise. Tonight we had a takeout order that was incorrect. The replacement was made to perfection, the manager came out to apologize, and a gift card was issued. Mistakes are made in any restaurant, but the Alpine Tavern and Eatery knew how to make things right. And again, they're consistently one of the best dining locations in Otsego county.

Outstanding food and great service to match! Pizza is wonderful, as well as their homemade soups. Plenty of TVs for watching your favorite sports team. I'll be back again and again.

Passing through the area Sunday midday we turned down a side street after searching through town for something other than fast food, I had the olive burger that came with fries, my wife had steak Cesar salad. Both were excellent! The burger bun was house made and fresh as well as the garlic sticks that came with the salad. Lions football was on multiple screens beating Chicago with several fans all enjoying the atmosphere. Service was good and our server was fun to work with. One thing I observed from my table and the reason I cannot give five stars was the large ice bin under the bar is open so both the servers and the bartender have access. Actually, everyone has access, customers walking by and most noticeable multiple employee's leaning over refilling their own reused Styrofoam cups. Just appears too easy for the ice to be contaminated and was not appealing to witness while dining there.

Stopped in on vacation. Sat on outside porch nice and relaxing. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Ordered Panko crusted whitefish it was delicious. Good portions. Side salad could have been a bit my fresher. But overall good meal and experience. Whenever I am back in town I will be back.

Awful. Menu said hand pinched Italian sausage. GFS sausage pellets was the reality. Why not just make sausage? It ain't hard! Get a cookbook.

Very friendly service, nice menu, clean place. We stopped in here on the way home from vacation, and the food was good. The bread on the reuben was a little thick for my taste, and could have used a little more meat, but good flavor, and good quality product. My date had the chicken strips, which he enjoyed...crispy panko breading- although a bit garlickly. HE said mac and cheese was nothing to write home about, but the tater tots were good.

Excellent pizza, decent service. If you're in the mood for pizza and you are in Gaylod, this is the place to go to. They also have good appetizers.

Wow this place has it dialed in. Tried it one day ate there everyday after for 3 days staight. Can't wait to get back up there to have the pulled pork and pizza this place is great. We loved it wife said the salads are great also.

Looking for late night dinner on the way up north. Happened upon the Alpine. Friday night...9:30. Good crowd. We ordered their version of the French dip. Good...but small portion, contemplated ordering an additional sandwich to split (...and I'm a small person). Will visit again if looking for spot in Gaylord. Service was terrific.
