Ate here with my sister. We had hummus and chicken kebobs, a healthy alternative to the traditional burger, wings, fries, etc. that you find at bars. (They have those as well) Not alot of beers on tap, but a good representation of some Michigan microbrews from Grand Rapids and Mt. Pleasant. This is a bar/restaurant, very informal. There is little else to do on a Saturday night in Fremont or Newaygo County for that matter so if your looking for night life you are in trouble. But I would recommend this place for beer and food. (Could use a better wine menu, but maybe it's not a big seller here.)

Awful service, awful food. Asked about getting a tshirt and she never brought me one. Ordered the fried chicken special, not sure what it was but wasn't chicken. In addition, the owner/manager was hovering over me the whole time.

I wasn't sure about this place when we walked in but I am soooo glad we sat down and had dinner. Good choices and the food was very good. We sat in the bar and received great service even with them being fairly busy. We will be coming back maybe even tomorrow to try something new. This place was a real pleasure.

Stopped at the Squirrel on a whim and loved it! Great food, great service. I had the Jasadilla Sandwich which was a quesadilla in a grilled thick flat bread. Soooo good! My dad got a burger, he loved it too.

Their classic burger is big(1/2 lb). I had one with fries. Burger was cooked to order. Fries were crispy. Waitress was friendly.

In town visiting and the local hotel recommended this place. Tried the PB&J burger on a whim and it was quite tasty. Highly recommend the onion rings as well. Would have liked to try out more on the menu. Lots to explore. Their homemade potato chips we're just ok. Service was good.
