This is the WORST of the WORST restaurant service in the world!!! The service sucks!!!! The food is OK but the service sucks!!!! The food is marginal but the service is really the worst I have ever experienced. Never going back. You just can't be this bad!

Could not believe the wait list that place has on a night of a Red Wings game! Thankfully we had a table reserved for us. I ordered the crispy chicken skewers and beef tips, ordered a side of fries which I never saw. The water view is absolutely amazing during the day. With the crowd they have there which includes the residents and the game guests, you'd think they would have a signature drink menu. There's a heated walk tunnel to the Joe Louis Arena.

Such a great place to go before a Red Wings Game! If you call and make a reservation for a table by the window you will not be sorry! The view is beautiful! Seriously, it is incredibly romantic and such a wonderful place for a date night! If you are going before a RW game, you can park in their parking structure, and the building is connected, so no need to go outside all the way to the joe! The menu is a little scattered, where you can't really tell what their specialty would be, but the crab cakes and house salad were greasy! They definitely have a little bit if everything. Plus, it is a great place to come back to for a post game drink, dessert or snack to wait for traffic to die down...did I mention how beautiful the full length windows are?!? This was my first time there, but definitely not the last!!

The service in this place is horrible. I've been here at least 5 times the average time to get your food is about 1 hour 30 min. This time we were sitting at a table and it took 40 min for anybody to even come check on us. I would skip this place.they will close as soon as the wings move

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The service was incredibly slow. I ordered their signature pasta with shrimp, and got some overcooked noodles with bland tomato sauce about 45 minutes later. My boyfriend didn't enjoy his BBQ chicken either. We had trouble ever flagging down our waitress. The bartender seemed really nice and our drinks were awesome, so I would only recommend getting some drinks at the bar and enjoying the view.

I am a food blogger from Los Angeles and came to Detroit on business with a group of people. The only positive this restaurant had was their service. 5 people on my trip got food poisoning, the food itself was sub par (not even). I ordered the filet mignon, after the first bite I already knew this wasn't prime meat it was choice. For a restaurant that speaks about how highly their quality is, they give you low tier food. Also, if you are between the ages of 18-50, DO NOT GO HERE! its so old and terrible vibes. I have never given a one star rating before and I am gladly given one today.

While this restaurant has nice views, it lacks quality food and appealing menu items. Only come here if you want a sub-par burger prior to a Redwings game.

If it was not for the free parking I would not go. Service is horrendous. If your go before an event add an hour. Food is average. We come here often before games and other events. I'm about ready to stop due to service, and food, menu is nothing special. It's location, location.

Underrated place! We came here because previous plans fell through and we wanted reservations. Free parking, reasonable food prices, and great view of the river and bridge. I got the stuffed salmom, but all 6 of us liked our meals.

Some of the slowest service I have ever experienced. Another couple, my wife and I had reservations for 6:30. We didn't order until about 7:00 and then received our salad at around 7:45 and pizza around 8:00. We weren't the only ones with slow service either. I noticed at the table of six next to us that a gentleman didn't receive his entree until every other person at the table had finished their meal. We had to ask repeatedly to have our drinks refilled and I had to take my glass up to the bar because our server disappeared for about 30 minutes. The food overall was decent, but for the price I didn't get my money's worth. All of these shortcomings could be absolved if I felt like there was some cool characteristic Signature Grill provided us. Things like an amazing view, a cool atmosphere, great deals, amazing food or something special. Signature Grill provided none of these things. The only bright spot for Signature Grill from me is that we were allowed to park in their parking lot for free and walk to the Joe for a concert. So basically, to me the Signature Grill is an expensive parking lot with good food that you have to wait a long time for.

Went there before a Red Wings game. Got a table with a very nice view over the lake. the service is friendly. We had a regular burger which was perfect. Not too big - perfect size for a lunch. Other good part is you can walk in-door from to resturant to the stadium - just rember to get a pass from the resturant to beeing able to get back again. We had a litle hard time finding the place. It is located on 3rd floor. The signing is not that good, but when you enter the building an elevator will take you to the Signature Grill.

Really, really slow service. And that's JUST to get drinks and app's. It took close to an hour to get our appetizers and our entree's followed shortly right after. And they didn't come all at once, let alone within seconds of each other. Our 2 kids got their meal while my wife and I got ours maybe 5 minutes later... The kitchen is small, thus the slow food service. If you plan ahead and give yourself 90 minutes, its worth it. Otherwise, move on somewhere else. Note: They do have a "bar menu" they utilize during WIngs games. Burgers, wraps, sandwich's etc. Also. not as hard to find as I was expecting based on others reviews. You do enter through a guard gate to get in before parking. Also, enter through the Signature Market to get to the elevator which takes you to the third floor, where the Grill is. If attending the Wings game, make sure you get a pass that you show security so you can get buzzed back in. Convenient for a Wings game? very much so. Just don't plan on being able to eat and run to the game.

I went here for a Red Wings game once, and I really would like to go back. It's a bit crowded before and after the games (it's connected to The Joe Louis Arena), so prepare for that, but it's a very nice experience if you want to go to a bar and feel like you're a part of the game. The views you will have are of the river (where boats are docked), and it's actually quite nice. The food is very good (specifically the pizza -- I don't know what they put in their cheese but it's delicious), and while I'd like the bar to be bigger, it is sufficient. If you're going here be ready for the fact that it's a kind of small bar and while there are 2 big TVs on the ends, the TVs on the sides are much smaller. I would also recommend making a reservation if you're going during a game as I assume it fills up quickly. If you drive to the restaurant (the other option is taking the people mover), I think you need a reservation because this restaurant is actually a part of the Riverfront Towers Complex ... you should call about that though.

Underrated food with great atmosphere. I live in the building and I try to eat at Signature at least once a week. The food is always impressive. My preferences are the seafood pizza and turkey burger for dinner and the mini tacos as an appetizer. I prefer to sit at the bar and have Tommy as my server. When I am forced to sit at a table, the service is typically below average and and the food seems to take longer.

Terrible, overpriced disgusting food. Let me describe my meal which was listed as a house specialty. Way overcooked salmon stuffed with what I'm pretty sure was frozen spinach and canned mushrooms. If that wasn't bad enough, they drown the whole thing in a sweet/spicy chili sauce that can be bought for 2 dollars a liter at any Asian grocery store. $22 My boyfriend ordered the shrimp which were over-breaded, soggy and no better than you could get a Long John Silvers. The also came with fries which tasted like they may have been the Gordon food service frozen variety. For that we were charged $18.. Now I'm sure this is a great bar/pizza joint, but it is not in any way a fine dining restaurant as described on the website, and reflected in the prices.

I thought one had to range far and wide to experience the worst a restaurant has to offer ... I was wrong. Signature Grill fit that bill on Feb. 7 and they're in my backyard. Our family made reservations there before an event at The Joe, a short walk away. We allowed two hours for dinner. That proved to be optimistic beyond reason. The restaurant, which was hardly full that night and seemed fully "staffed," never bothered to book our reservation, near as I could determine, or cared to set up for us. When we convinced them that we were serious about dinner and were on a schedule, they slow-walked into "action." Finally, we were told our tables were "near each other" and ready. When we asked for a table that would accommodate all of us (we don't get together that often, so these events are special to us), they jammed together a round and a square, then abandoned us. The table next to us, which came in later, was served first and fairly quickly. At the 1 hour 30-minute mark, we still didn't have drinks, much less food. At that point, we left, putting on the coats we had to pile onto a chair in the corner when we arrived. The most shocking part of all of this was the reaction we received in the lobby from the two employees sitting on their brains and doing nothing ... utter indifference. Two blank stares and a mumble. I've never seen anything like it and never will again ... at least at that sorry place.

Great bar and great food!!! The bar tender Tommy is amazing!!! It can be a little slow when it gets busy but what place won't get slow when it's busy. Great crowd of local detroit area people. Great place to meet people and do some networking. I highly recommend the bar to any detroit visitor or resident.

We met some people here before a Wing's game the other night. I'm not exactly sure why it's so hidden. I never saw a single sign or direction from the outside. The service was very slow and not very good. The waitress didn't know what beers were on tap and had to keep checking for us. As expected before a sporting event next door, the restaurant was at maximum capacity. It was very loud and I couldn't carry on a conversation with members at my table. I ordered the vegetable wrap. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, but there no sauce. The Italian dressing (per the menu) would have made the bland and boring wrap memorable. Also per the menu, the wrap was to be served with chips. Instead I received soggy and warm French fries. Since service was terribly slow, and we were already late to the game, it was not worth my time to complain. No reason to return here.

The Bartender Tommy is the best thing about this place. It is pretty convenient for people who live in the Riverfront. The food is just ok. They have extra Loud Karaoke on Thursday. A good stop before going to a Red Wings game.

Worst service ever. It took 2 hours for our food to come out and an hour and a half for them to even ask what we would like to eat. There was only two of us and we were sat at a table half an hour after our reservation time of 6:45 and drinks weren't taken for a half hour after that. WE were not these only ones there dealing with bad service either. there were tables of people cancelling their food and paying there tabs because they did not get their food for over 2 hours. The food was great but it is unfortunate that the service was so bad because I will not be a returning customer. Seriously, the waitress never even apologized for the waiting and also I had to stop her and ask her for a drink refill. She said a total of 3 sentences to me.

Signature Grill is fine if you're in the area. The food that I've had there has been tasty and well presented. Don't go to Signature Grill though if you're in a hurry. I don't know why, but each time I've been there, it seems like there's only been the bartender and one waiter serving front of the house...at peak meal times. The staff have always been friendly but definitely overworked.

Great location downtown, amazing view, and Tommy at the bar is quick and entertaining to talk to as you wait for your food and drinks. The cheesy bread here is one of the best that I've had in Detroit thus far. I just wish that they were opened later and had more menu options.
