This place was an absolute treat! Could not believe the quantity of food they give you, and then the taste.... Ohh boy! Wonderful staff, great tasting food. Huge heaping of hashbrowns with my omelette! The sandwiches were great also, the Ruben was delicious! Probably the best coffee I've had as any diner. I really have nothing bad to say about this place..... Wait I just remembered it was kind of quiet. Meaning not much music to keep the atmosphere upbeat. Other than that I sure will be back when my travels take me back to Michigan! Happy dining!

So over the rude service. They've raised their menu prices at least twice since Quicken Loans moved their headquarters down there. When you call for a carry out they act annoyed when you are trying to place an order..seriously. The last time I called the phone was picked up and set down while the person helped another person. No hello, can you please hold or anything. I will say the food is decent at best. The chicken greek salad is AMAZINGLY good..

First of all, it's a diner. I don't think you can expect pristine settings with polished greetings and attitudes. You're going to either get people that have worked there for years, or a stressed-out human working it as a side job. Plus, there's going to be staff turnover issues...and we actually got the person who was starting their first day on the job, and it wasn't going well for her. The Pros: - Inexpensive - Feta omelete was excellent - The only place I've been to that's cooked my bacon correct on the first try (burnt and crispy) - Good amount of food (ton of hash browns!) The Cons: - Staff chemistry. The new girl was making mistakes, the owner/manager gave no slack, and there seemed to be a rolling battle between the new girl and the cooks. This stuff happens, but it was a little too "public". - The smell! I wasn't expecting roses, but maybe a "food" smell of some sort...it was sorta funky. - The OJ was pretty bad, it reminded me of an orange-flavored-drink, rather than OJ. We're not in the area much, but even if we were, there wasn't anything that made us want to go back.

I think this is a case of unmet expectations - and if you're looking forward to an "old-timey" and funky diner experience in downtown Detroit, this is NOT it. I had the tuna melt and fries - tuna melt was a basic tuna salad with melted cheese, and fine (I'm a huge fan of a good tuna melt), and the fries were almost inedible. Poured straight from the frozen food bag into the fat? Perhaps. Soggy. Not hot. Not good. Thank you kind staff, but I wouldn't return.

My fiance and I recently moved down town and we LOVE this place. I have ordered carry out times than i am comfortable saying--their greek salad and homemade greek dressing is awesome, and I don;t know what it is about their coffee, but it is super addicting. Great place, family owned and super friendly! :) Will say, I wish they were open on Sundays!

Cadillac Square is a fantastic downtown breakfast/lunch spot that serves up great classic diner food. It's located right across the street from my office, so I order out from here for lunch at least once a week and have never had a single disappointment. The reuben is my favorite. Tons of corned beef with just the right amount of melted swiss and sauerkraut. I especially like that they give you the thousand island dressing on the side so you can put as little (or if you're me, as MUCH :-) ) as you want on it. The biscuits and gravy are solid. Not necessarily remarkable, but definitely very satisfying. Same can be said for the coneys. If you've got a craving for coneys but don't want to make extra walk over to Lafayette or American, Cadillac Square is a solid choice to get your fill. The people who run the place are extremely friendly, expedient, and they've never made a mistake with my order. There are a ton of unique food options around Campus Martius, but if you're in the area and just feel like some good old fashioned diner food, Cadillac Square is the place to go.

Exceptionally good diner - excellent, friendly service, strong diner menu. I had breakfast here on 06/07/2012, having the special - biscuits and gravy with eggs. This was a lot of food - good biscuits with excellent sausage gravy (2 split biscuits with generous helping of gravy). Three eggs, ordered "over easy" and cooked to perfection. Extremely friendly and helpful service! As I was leaving I picked up a slice of beautiful, homemade, delicious caramel cake to enjoy on my flight home. I judge it against other diners - and, it comes up at the top - ultra clean, great food, great service, homemade desserts - perfect!

I work nearby and go here for lunch at least one a week. Service is always friendly and efficient and the food is excellent. My favorite strawberry chicken salad is fresh and tasty with a generous amount of chicken. The place is very pleasant inside since the remodel and now they take credit cards which is a big plus. Highly recommended!

This coney island-type restaurant was recently completely remodeled and the owners did a great job. There are flat screen TVs everywhere and lots of space. I've been here 3 times now and each time the service was really wonderful. The waitress has always been very attentive and friendly. The food is better than expected for a small diner type place, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast or lunch, this place is a great choice.

This is a nice, affordable diner run by an incredibly nice family. Service is friendly and fairly quick. Much cleaner and more modern than a typical diner. Huge menu with lots of selections. The only thing that I don't like is the décor. A hallway connects the entrance and the main dining room. This hallway is lined with huge mirrors on both sides and I feel like I'm in a gym every time I walk through there.
