Went here with a friend for dinner tonight and we were bother very pleased! Our server was friendly, she did admit to "forgetting about us" for a few but we didn't really notice. The food was good! I ordered chicken Parmesan which I always usually get because its delicious and my friend ordered the fish and chips. We were both pleased with the quality of the food and the price was good too. If recommend this restaurant for a quick cheap night out without being too simple.

Very friendly service. And great food. I had the fish and chips which is all you can eat on Tuesdays or you can choose for a cheaper option and opt out of the all you can eat. We had the saginaki appetizer which was good. It wasn't lit on fire at the table which is a little upsetting since that is part of the experience. My friend had the chicken park which she stated is amazing. She had enough for left overs as well. Wednesday is polish night and I believe Thursday's is rib day. We will be back!

Another place that is always packed....not sure why. We went for lunch. Ordered a couple of burgers. They looked delicious but didn't taste delicious. They were very greasy and extremely bland. Our waitress was very friendly but the food just didn't do it for us. Not going to rush back to try anything else off their menu. If you can't make a simple burger.....

This is a nice place for a good meal and a beer. They have something for the whole family. The service is very good the atmosphere is very casual.

I decided to try a lunch at Sugarbush because I was in the area and because the reviews were fairly positive. The service was good but the food was a big disappointment. I ordered one of their lunch combinations, which was a couple of sliders with coleslaw & fries. The coleslaw was so salty and lacking any good flavor that I couldn't eat it. The beef parties appeared to be machine made and cooked from frozen; same for the fries. The ketchup bottle was so filthy that I asked for a clean one, which was replaced politely without objection. I was hoping to eat fresh food that was something close to home cooking but was disappointed. I will not return.

A local bar in the area ... nice layout, decent staff. Large outdoor area fenced in for partaking under the sun and stars. I don't get in here much, but they used to have some pretty good meal specials. About a mile north of the Selfridge Main Gate.

Walleye and perch combo mmm mmm. A huge fillet of walleye and 3 large perch, perfectly fried for a crispy crunchy dinner. The fries served were ok but the Capt,. Morgan steak bites were really good a bit of twang in the sauce and very tender steak. I'm looking forward to them opening the new place on 10 mile Rd. where Dublin Pub was.

Just stopped in a for a beer and to watch my favorite band audiomind. At first glance nothing special but when I sat at the bar I found what makes this place so extraordinary! The male bartender! Just watch out he's packing...a couple of "guns". The beer was cold and the service was HOTT. When I'm in chesterfield it's all about the Bush!

I've never been to a place so hot & cold as this establishment. If you hit them on a good night, you're in for a pretty good dining experience....but hit them on an off night and you'll definitely leave unhappy. I've never had issues with the wait staff...always very nice and attentive. They're also quite knowledgeable about the menu. Issue has always been the cooks. if you order off of their daily specials menu, you're almost always in for a treat. I've had surprisingly great meals from their specials. The problem always comes in when your order something simple, but ask for specific things. Recently, I ordered a burger (medium rare) with bleu cheese, grilled onions and bacon. Burger came very well done with no grilled onions. Since I had been waiting quite a long time already, I simply notified my server and choked it down. Another burger at the table was also charred when medium rare was requested. I began to realize that this is an all too common occurrence when our server showed us a stack of coupons/discounts that we could use to compensate us for the mistakes. So, not only is the waitstaff knowledgeable about the menu, they also seem quite aware of the many mistakes from the cooks and are prepared to recover from the situation immediately with stacks of coupons. Still not sure if that's pretty cool or pretty sad. Out of the visits, the highs outnumber the lows. Try to stick to the specials....but if you must try something else, keep it as simple as possible so you don't confuse the cooks.

Live in Atlanta, GA.... Wanted some lake perch or walleye found Sugarbush. Excellent choice. Busy Friday night bar was a good spot to sit. Beer was great 20 oz drafts. Excellent value too. Recommend you give it a try. Heard the salads were very good too maybe next time.

After driving by here for years, my wife and I decided to stop here for dinner. This place is always packed and we had to find out why. The place is okay inside and has a nice bar. Our server was super friendly and fast. No complaints on that. One of the specials they had the night we went was a chicken southwest salad, and that's what we both ordered. The salad was a good size and the vegetables were fresh. We both enjoyed the salad and found the price reasonable. So, why the one star? We both spent the night on the pot. Yep, we got food poisoning from this place. There is nothing that will make you never go back to a place like getting sick from it.

It's good food at a great price....that's why it's always packed. I've never had anything bad here, am a big fan of their sandwiches, and while they can get a bit loud on a Saturday or Sunday game day, for the most part you can be as intimate or involved as you want to be.

Wow. Why is this place so damn popular? Came in at about 7:30 on a Saturday night and they were packed with a vast majority of people 45 and older. Our waitress forgot anything we told her. The wings were frozen (one was still cold in the middle), the salsa tastes like Mexican marinara, and the beer wasn't quite cold enough. Additionally, their mixed drinks are strong as hell. I guess that's a good thing as far as getting your money's worth, but... Two stars just because they have pretty great monthly and daily drink specials. They also have a bit of craft beer on tap finally. Ultimately, I'd stop here for a drink, but not food. That's a shame, because when I had the food in the past I thought it was pretty decent. I suppose that's not the case on a Saturday night, which is a bummer. Not too sure I'd want to come in again after this.

The food is absolutely amazing. They have specials every day of the week, but Sunday is my favorite: Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Service is great and extremely fast, and the wait staff is really friendly. If you're looking for a good meal and a few beers, I highly recommend this place!

Order your burger rare.... you might just get it cooked medium. The burgers are over cooked and dry. The fries are cold and similar to McDonald's... definitely wouldn't come back

The atmosphere is friendly as well as the staff. I am only giving a three star rating because I haven't has many meals here. I have had the perch and I can say that is was good but not as good as other places. They run daily specials with different themes in mind, i.e. Mexican or Polish days. They perogies and potato cakes were great! And the quesadilla was very satisfying as well as filing. The salsa was tasty! I would recommend dining in because the carry out wasn't anything to write home about. All in all it is a great neighborhood place for sports, keno, and gathering with friends.

This local hang-out always seems to be crowded, even during the week. Basically, it's a big bar with a restaurant and horseshoes out back. The decor is dark surburban pedestrian with novelty posters here and there, lottery games, dart games and music coming from somewhere. You've been here before. After eating here several times I have come to the conclusion that this is a good, not great, place to eat and a better place to sit and drink beer while watching TV or just chatting. The food is centered on the usual bar offerings, nothing radical, you've seen it all before. They have some interesting daily specials (AYCE fish on Tues, Polish food on Weds, etc) and the prices are very reasonable. They tout the baby back ribs as being the best in Macomb County but I can tell you that is definately not true. I had a full slab with the Capt. Morgan sauce, the meat was fall off the bone tender but there wasn't much sauce and, worse, the meat had a livery after-taste. The steak tips and shrimp were unremarkable. The burgers and sandwiches with fries are your safest bets. The soups were surprisingly pretty good. I had a jalapeño chicken corn chowder that was very good. The service can be scattershot. We ate there once on a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed with two waitresses (one good, one lame) doing all the work and we waited quite some time to get our food. The young waitress (lame one) looked great in her yoga pants but had the personality of a doorknob and lacked basic waiting skills yet had an attitude like we owed her a 35% tip for being honored by her presence. To be fair, on other visits the service was excellent. Ask for an older waitress and you will most likely obtain better service. My suggestions are to keep it simple...get some appetizers, a burger, a few beers, sit at the bar and have a good time.

When it's busy they pack you in like cattle and then the waitresses get attitudes when they have to traverse through the heard. The food is simply not worth the wait. 4 of us went there at 5:15 on a Saturday night and asked for a table as a booth was going to be too small and uncomfortable. After waiting over 45 minutes we went up to the hostess who said that due to reservations, if we still wanted a table, it was going to be a while. And here I was thinking that the 45 minutes we already waited was "Awhile!" We could have gone somewhere else in that time and should have been told that up front! Someone needs to open another restaurant in this area to give this place some competition so they start treating their customers better.

Once again, my wife and I followed up on a referral from friends. They know what foodies we are so they said to try this place for their burgers. On a Saturday at about 7pm the place was jammed to the hilt. The seats were all filled and we waited for 30 minutes to get a table. All these people, Sugarbush surely must be doing something right....right? We found the place to be very average in appearance, with no particular style to their decor. It was clean and decent however with a lot of people between the ages of 21 and 70! The service was extremely nice and efficient considering the huge crowd. My wife and I both ordered burgers, some Onion Rings and some slaw. The slaw was ok, obviously the dressing was Marzetti's, which isn't all bad. It's better than a bad attempt at overly seasoned slaw dressing. The Onion Rings were frozen and very blah, average. The burgers were, well, ok. Fairly nice hunk of meat, and nothing else special. Out of a 10 the burger ranks a solid 6 in my book, but I am spoiled. All in all, it's a nice little place in an area where nothing much else is happening. The food is ok, definitely not bad, the service is right up there with an 8.5. The prices were nothing to brag about, maybe a little pricey for a place like this and the food quality. We probably won't go back because there are too many good places out there to spend our money. That being said, I wouldn't really disuade anyone from going.

Good food, BUSY...a little inconsistent, but I attribute that to how many people are in there. All in all a nice night out, long waits.

Sugarbush does two things well: 1.) Serve as one of the only options for dining/drinks in a suburan area dominated by Selfridge. 2.) French Onion Soup If you're not in the mood for french onion soup and have adequate transportation, drive to Mount Clemens for your boozing or anywhere on Hall Rd for a better dining experience.

This is my father in law's favorite restaurant. My in-laws go here at least once a week. They even have a picture of his 56 Chevy that he restored hanging in the restaurant. I have been here several times, but I felt compelled to write a review on this place after being up there two Saturday's ago. We went up to see my friend and his band play. Since I was driving I decided to try the prime rib dinner (Only offered on Saturdays) which came with a baked potato, mixed vegetables and salad. It was awesome. It was probably the best prime rib I have ever had. The service was good as usual and efficient. I would not recommend this as a bar to party at since their are so many choices in and around Hall Road that are so much better. If you want to watch a ballgame, eat dinner and chill with your boys than this is the place to be.

Very accurate review here, i live right around the corner from this place i have been there many times. Alot of locals go there and they get treated like kings if they dont know you.... your service will be bad if not nonexistent. Sit on the bar side you will get ok/good service, sit on the restaurant side you will be lucky if you even get service (unless you are a regular). The place has alot of bugs and flies flying around. Food is good, drinks are good but service is ok at best. I want to like this place but they fail everytime i go. I think they are happy just to have their "regular" customers.. oh well

So this place had SEVERAL things going for it on my visit. Let's recount them, shall we? 1. I came here with friends after a successful evening of fishing on the nearby lake with those same friends. I caught my first fish in over 25 years. 2. The food was good. Not stellar, but good. My side salad was made with iceberg, but was fresh and crisp. My ribs tasted great but half of my half slab was a little over crispified. The sauce was delicious though. The prices were low. The service was prompt and friendly and we had our food within 10 minutes of ordering even though the place was packed to the gills. Gills? Fishing? Get it? Ahhh, you don't know nothing from funny... 3. There was live music and halfway through the night the sax player picked up a flute and played a ridiculous Anchorman-esque solo. I seriously thought he was going to start walking on tables, crushing glasses underfoot, and shooting flames out of his flute-hole. 4. There was an over-tanned woman nearby whose skin looked like leather. We were roundly amused by her appearance. Note to the ladies: THIS IS NOT A GOOD LOOK FOR YOU. 5. The Tigers game was on. We finished our food and drinks and then stayed until the game ended. This turned out to be in the bottom of the 12th on a bases loaded walk by the Red Sox. Tigers win! Everyone cheered. 6. I made an hilarious jest about inappropriate signs the Tigers 3rd base coach might make to liven the game up a bit. I was then hailed as the funniest man alive. This could have been due to the several beers my friends had imbibed. Funny how my non-acoholic self is always the funniest guy when he is surrounded by people who have been drinking. One of the many benefits of sobriety, I say. All in all it was a great night, and it all happened at Sugarbush Tavern in Chesterfield.

Reasonably priced, great food. They have big-portion perch and walleye filet specials from time to time. My favorite is the huge Traverse City Chicken Salad made with cherries and walnuts. It has a sports bar atmosphere with about a dozen TVs. I have only ever been at lunch time and have always been able to get a table.

When I'm home, I make it a point to hit this place up - it's an awesomely bizarre mix of creepsters and bored 20-somethings who never found their way out of suburban hell. The first time I remember going to this place unaccompanied by an adult was just a couple years ago on karaoke night. There was an awesome line-up and a scary-looking trucker dude who ended up pulling at my heartstrings with his rendition of a touching 70s ballad. The beer here is cheap, and the draft selection is pretty decent. My friend visiting from NYC bought three beers just because she wanted to see a bill with three drinks for less than $10. I like the neighborhood feel to this place - and it's probably one of the oldest bars in town.

There's nothing that Bombs at the tavern near the air base! Friendly neighborhood place with good food, decent prices and some nice drink specials. Perch and Walleye specials (I like the sautéed instead of fried), good salads (recommend the Traverse City grilled chicken) and fun wait staff.

Really great bar. Their French Onion soup is HOT and fresh. Their fried mushrooms are great and their sandwiches are awesome. Big hangout for anyone near the airforce base.

This place is good, really good. Our waitress was very friendly and we were never left without drinks or being checked on. The hostess was kind of an airhead and at first rubbed me the wrong way, but our waitress and food made up for that. I had the French onion soup for starters, which was perfect. Melted, slightly brown bubbley cheese on top of bread, onion, and brothy goodness. I would make the trip on the soup alone. For my meal I ordered the Traverse City Chicken salad. I wasn't expecting a salad to win me over, but it did. Super fresh, perfect amounts of bleu cheese, walnuts and red onion and the dressing was really good too. I won't say this is a complaint, more like a suggestion...a little more chicken could be added to the salad. :) My hubby got the fish & chips I snagged some and that was really good also, the dinner came with 4 big pieces of deep fried, the breading was nice and golden and fries crispy not soggy. I really enjoyed this place and I know I will be back!
