The spinach and artichoke pizza is without equal. The service is exemplary. The beer selection is very good, and is nice and cold. Best pizza in Washtenaw County.

In town for a concert found this gem based on great Yelp reviews! Cute little establishment, Sam the waitress was very friendly, couldn't have asked for a better server! The food, wow! Delicious! Came out quick and hot. In town for a few more days, will be back!

Not impressed. Was in town on business and wanted local pizza joint. Jumped on yelp and this placed had best reviews. It is probably the favorite local place as it is only place and been there long time. Only can judge on a basic pepperoni pizza but pretty bland. Generic crust, not doughy, not crispy. Nothing to set it apart. Would like to try other things on menu next time in town.

The atmosphere here is a bit rundown, but the pizza is solid. The place is pretty small and was fairly crowded when we got here on a Saturday afternoon, but we were still seated immediately. The lighting and lack of background music give the restaurant the feel of a cafeteria, But the friendly waitstaff made up for the lack of ambiance. We got a mushroom, tomato, and pepperoni pizza. Given our surroundings and the price, we expected it to come out soggy and greasy like at most cheap pizza places. Imagine our surprise when it was actually perfectly cooked and delicious! In general this place has a good selection of pizza toppings, as well as sandwiches and other quick food. For mushroom lovers like me, there are two mushroom options: fresh and canned. I don't know why anyone would get canned mushrooms on their pizza when fresh ones are an option, but they're there if you want them. I wouldn't come here on a date or with a large group of friends (seating gets pretty tight beyond about four people), but I highly recommend it for a quick casual meal with a friend or two.

Best pizza in town! Not so greasy like the other pizza joints. Very friendly staff! I wish the place was bigger because whenever I come the place is packed!

Thompson's really exceeded my expectations! We came here on Father's Day, after spending the day fishing at a nearby lake. At first, I wasn't sure what to think. It's a "seat yourself" place, but there's no sign that says that, which always leads to a slightly awkward entrance in front of the locals. Once we got past that, I was really glad we stopped there. Ally, our server, was so personable! There's a bin of kids toys and coloring supplies, so we helped ourselves to some crayons and coloring books. My boys saw other kids' artwork adorning the walls and wanted to get theirs up there, too. My husband had a big ol' mug of Sam Adams, lots of different options on tap (including Frankenmuth Brewery and other Michigan options). Kids meals are $4.99 and include a drink. My 6-year old got the "mini" pizza (9"), and when it came, he said, "Whoa, I thought this was supposed to be mini!". He only ate half of it. I got a salad (nothing special) and a burger (yum!) and snuck a piece of the pizza that the rest of the family ordered (thin crust, meat lovers). My kids declared the food "awesome". When she brought the check ($39 before tip for our family of 4), she let the kids pick out RingPops (after checking with me first). Overall, it was a really nice visit.

Love the selection of fried to perfection tasty food. It's crowded, b/c it's a great local joint. It can be loud, but that just speaks for itself. It's a real crowd pleaser. Can order pick-up, if you'd rather not wait for a seat. It would improve, if there was some out-door seating. It would be a real hit! The pizza is the best in the area. And their appe-teasers, like the fried mushrooms are worth walking in the snow uphill both ways for!

This place is a down home pizzeria. If you're in the area and want to experience a typical rural Michigan atmosphere then this is it. This is definitely a local hangout spot. They have a full bar but I would consider it more of a family dining type atmosphere. Their pizza is very good, their burgers are good, and the rest of their menu is pretty good too. It is not overly fancy but very comfy. A lot of the owner's family works there to add to that feeling. If you're in Chelsea and want to try something unique to it then this is worth a try.

Both the pizza and service are great! Best place to get pizza in town, hands down.

I love this place for lunch or after work. I haven't had a bad meal off the menu. It's not a fancy place but the food is good and the servers all seem to be very friendly. This is a great place to get some after work drinks and a snack or for a casual lunch. I definitely recommend it. The only downfall is the size of it. Sometimes you can't get a seat but that must mean that they're doing something right. I'm not from Chelsea but it appears that they support the community. Their walls are covered in the local high school's pictures and jerseys. I like that.
