A super friendly, huge cafe right in the heart of downtown. They have a giant variety of coffee/latte options. I tried the Orange Blossom, a latte with orange and chocolate, plus whipped cream if you want it. I went here for lunch with family, and we tried a variety of wraps, grilled panini sandwiches, and soup. All homemade, all delicious! The service was very accommodating, and there is lots of room for small or large groups. There is also a bunch of photographs and paintings on the walls for sale. A lovely place to stop for lunch. They also have ice cream but we tried several of their homemade cookies for dessert instead - they were good, maybe not great, but solid for a $1 dessert!
I love this place, it has so much to offer! One Sunday before church I stopped in and got a latte and a muffin and they offered to warm it up, which I appreciated! I really like the cinnamon and oats ice cream, definitely one of my favorite flavors of all time. What I am most impressed with however, is the staff, they are very outgoing and every worker I've dealt with has usually cracked a joke or too. The decor and sitting area is very charming.
I love this place. The turkey bacon wrap is fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing. This place helps Charlotte attain a certain level of coolness that can lack in a small town. Super friendly staff. Free wifi. The brown leather chair is my favorite place to read a book while I drink my chai.

Charlotte is turning into one of my favorite places to eat! This place is awesome! Came in with a 5th grade baseball team and their parents. Seated immediately. Drinks in hand within seconds. Smoked wings were a highlight and the Chicago style pizza was the best I've had on this side of the big lake. When in Charlotte do not hesitate to stop in.
Their Hawaiian pizza They have some amazing signature pizzas. Our families two personal favorites are, the Mighty Meaty (meat lovers) and Hawaiian pizza. The Hawaiian had fresh pineapple, cherries, sliced almonds, and ham. By far the best take on a Hawaiian pizza I've every had. Everything else there, is just as good. Wait time is about average and the inside could be taken kinda shady at times, but the restaurant is split in two halfs. One half is the main restaurant and the other has a bar, so it's a little noisy as times, but overall it's a great place for pizza.
Best food in Charlotte. We always have excellent service and the pizza is great (the deep dish super deluxe is our favorite). Our son loves the fettuccine Alfredo, and friends of ours have recommended the burgers. Large selection of beer, popcorn, and a jukebox.

Service was great! The food was very good, we each had steak and they were cooked exactly what we asked for. It was only our waitress's second day but she was right on it.
This place is a great little local eat. I had a burger from here and it was amazing. The portions were very generous and my wife went with me and she got Mexican from here and she loved her meal as well. The service here was outstanding very courteous and very quick and they have a few micro brew beers here. I was very pleased with my experience here and will for sure be back many times.
Waffle fries are amazing and so are the Tuscan nachos. Drinks are reasonably priced. If you are really hungry, go for favorite the moose burger.

Player's is a good little sit down that has a pool table and a handful of TV's to watch games on, it's a local joint that I'm sure seems like you've seen in just about every other town. Friday is the day to go with the fish fry, you can even get all you can eat! It's pretty good and so are the burgers, especially the olive burger! Try this out if you're around Charlotte!

I am conflicted and because of this can only give three stars... First let me say, the food is GREAT! Try the PJ's just once with the spicy/hot cheese and you will be hooked! Burgers are delicious and fresh with really tasty fries! (They just really need a good ranch dressing.) The prices are very reasonable, too. The problem comes with the service. With the exception of Rachel (who has always gone out of her way for us), the service is slow and inefficient at best... Your order may or may not be correct the first time and if you come in (at appropriate hours) with kids, they treat you like a pariah! It is a crying shame, because they have a kids menu and everything... Perhaps they realize you probably will not be consuming massive quantities of alcohol with the littles in tow?? We have tried on four separate occasions with the kids, but only once, when we had Rachel, was it a decent experience. We would love to come in more frequently, but when we have the kids with us (which is pretty much ALWAYS), it is now a NO.
Mike's is a great spot to meet friends or family for a few beers and cheap food. If you haven't been here before, you have to have try PJ's! Most people have them with cheese but I've had them with peanut butter - delicious! Drinks are good and cheap, service could always be better (faster and more attentive). ALSO - Great place on Taco Tuesdays! $1 chicken or beef :)
Went here on a Thursday around midnight, as I walked in they very rudely informed me that last call had been made. OK I thought F-U to. I turned around and walked down the street to the Eaton Pub And Grille and was welcomed at the door for an ID check and spent the next 2 hrs (and about $50) there and then walked home. Do your self a favor and skip Mikes and just head to the pub like I did.

Top Buffet

I'm one of those people who doesn't eat there, although my parents do. This place gives me the creeps. It's just your average Chinese buffet, definitely not anything special. Too bad for Charlotte, being it's the only buffet of its kind. Good Flavor is on the other side of town next to the tracks and Grand Rental where Domino's used to be, and they are the only other Chinese eatery in town. I would much rather go there.
Very large dining room. Buffet area kept very clean. Good main selections that change. General Tso and also baked chicken. So everything is not fried. Fresh fruit. Food better much better than average. We are not from here but I would return if we return to this area. Plenty of parking in shopping center. Good service. The price super cheap at $6.75. Negatives: duck sauce in package. Same for hot mustard. Room and plates were cold.
Best Chinese buffet in town.... Errr Uhhh it's the only Chinese buffet in town. Decent prices and we'll stocked buffet bars, every one in a while they will surprise me with a great new item.

I'm highly disappointed in them changing the chicken quesadilla and spinach and artichoke dip the portion is way smaller and quesadilla use to be way tastier then it is on the new build your own menu, otherwise the food is good.
I recently visited here while my grandparent were in town and let me say..they portion size of food you receive has shrunk a lot. Frost they messed up our salads, then when they brought the appetizers, they were half the size of what they used to be, and once the food came, it was just okay. The wait staff was nice, but nothing special. A big turn off to me was, normally they have music playing. There was a sports game on and they had that going over the PA instead and it was rather loud to. If you were trying to have a conversation, all you could hear was the announcers from the game. Just found this kinda rude. Also for what we got (2 for 20) it seemed really expensive. At the pieces of that I could have when anywhere else and got double or triple the food. Not impressed at all.
This is a silly one to review, but you know what, I can't be the only one stuck driving on 69 looking for vegetarian friendly food options - maybe this review will help a fellow Yelper in the future. Applebee's was the best option I found in the area - they had plenty of diner-style seating, decent service, and healthy-ish salads on the menu. Their pretzels were quite good too.
