BK marketing worked on my sister and her partner with those dang chicken fries and while on a shopping trip together it only made sense to give them a try. The food is typical BK quality and overall not too bad, however, our cashier wasn't the friendliest. She had the "I hate my job" attitude exuding from her along with absolutely no interest in the customers. Also the floor in BK was so sticky my sandals nearly popped off multiple time. Ick!

Quick professional DT order experience. However cashier wasn't aware of the cash in her drawer and couldn't make change. She hollered for help but had to leave to exchange money. Appeared to be going through corporate inspection which might be why they didn't answer her cry for help. Then as I was checking in on yelp waiting the manager noticed this while opening drawer for cashier. Then he hustled back up front and through extra food in the bag to make up for my wait. Not sure what it is but it is greasy as it is soaking through the bag into my my interior. I saw a leather cleaner in my near future.

The service was very slow. The cashier was talking to the other workers and took a couple minutes to even greet me.

The dining room in this location is a bit dated and in desperate need of an update. But the Food and special requests are always honored and prepared as requested. The staff is friendly and cordial. Service can be slow at times. They are very accomodating and accept most BK coupons without question. Dining room is usually clean as I frequent this location a few times a month.

I'm baffled at how unchanged the service is at several local fast food chain restaurants. Specifically, I'm baffled about the years of hit and miss service at McDonald's of Ecorse Road & Burger King of Michigan Ave & of Rawsonville Rd, Ypsilanti; Wendy's of Michigan Ave, Canton and the totally unacceptable food I got Thursday about 6:30PM from this Ford Road Burger King. I'm amazed at ongoing poor service in this economy. I mean, come on managers and owners, with all the unemployment you can't get any better people than you could when the auto companies employed 10s of thousands around here? In this economy, a fast food job is a decent job! I've patronized Burger King restaurants since the first one I visited near Yellow Springs, Ohio, back when it really did require two hands to eat a whopper and a whopper was a good solid burger. I'm talking 1969. It was served to me on a paper plate and it nearly covered the entire plate! When Burger King & McDonald's went into competition to serve the most extreme high calorie junk food, I stopped eating all but one of the sandwiches. For 25 years, when I want an American Fish sandwich I stop at Burger King. Well August 4, 2011 about 6:30PM my wife brought home the worst fish sandwiches we ever got from Burger King! The fish looked like they sat in a fryer basket for over an hour and then were dipped down into the grease a second time (I grew up in the sit down restaurant business). I go for refried Mexican beans but not refried square fish. The breading was nearly black and they were greasy -way, way below minimum Burger King standards. Actually, we have never received such unfit food from any fast food chain, EVER! Whoever prepared those fish sandwiches SHOULD BE DRUG TESTED! I was not about to let my wife drive 25 minutes round trip to take them back. Calling a Burger King manager is an ordeal, First, someone has to answer the phone. Chances are when you get someone, it will be one of those overworked, underpaid workers with a title. You know one of those workers with a "manager" title to sucker more work and responsibility for less total pay (they never seem to get the promised paid time off). We will remember to never stop again at the Ford Road, Canton Burger King. We try to stick to the Burger King at Canton Center and Belleville Road, the best managed and staffed Burger King in the area. We tossed the two fish sandwiches. Eating them would be like tossing thick greasy burnt potato chips with tarter sauce and cheese slapped on them and jamming them into a bun. The blood pressure would rise as you ate such trash knowing you paid over $6 for them! What I want to know is How do you sorry running chain units manage to find such sorry employees in the current labor market? Its got to take a bizarre sort of special talent. We know unemployed skilled office workers, with years of good service and even recent retraining who can't find work. Most of them cook real meals everyday. Yet, our local champions of poor service manage to pass up these people and go straight for the local overindulged adult children, the career part time worker, full time party animal and neighborhood nuances and put them in burger hats and shirts. Its a regular rotating clown show. Its rare I ever see the same workers twice, except at the good service chain units like McDonald's & Burger King of Michigan Ave, Canton. Yelpers who marvel over this state of affairs with me, I do have some inside information that may shed some light on this baffling continuing poor service issue. At least a few of these champion poor service centers are owned by a certain sort of franchise owner, the kind who regularly mess over the help to keep wages as low as possible under Federal and State law. Why? Simple. They are not real business people. They are people who either had a franchise or two handed to them or came on some money and they believe the stick they hear from Union bosses and politicos, namely anyone can run a business. You jus gotta step on your workers' necks and keep steppin. A real business person tolerates only good staff and compensate them as well as deserved and as well as feasible, not because I'm a true humanitarian but from knowing I would make much more profit that way. A clown show staff will steal a business blind, give away food and excessive change to party buddies, mess over the store as much as possible and they are unreliable. With a clown show staff, you better be insured to the teeth. You'll need it. Customers are far more likely to sue a clown show, poor service business than a well run, good service business. Why? The same reason rural doctors who make house calls are rarely sued. You don't sue your friends.
