I went to Ahmo's last night to get a quick dinner and lunch for the next day all at the same time. I got two different gyros, the first one was just a "gyro" the second was the chicken gyro. The original gyro came with yogurt sauce and the chicken gyro was listed as coming with garlic sauce. Since I was taking the chicken gyro to work for lunch the next day I asked that the garlic sauce be on the side so that the wrap wouldn't be soggy by the time I got to work the next day. When I got home and opened everything up BOTH gyros were dry and I only had garlic sauce no yogurt sauce whatsoever, so that was a little disappointing. As for the quality of the food, the chicken gyro, without any sauce, was a bit dry. Also I got two pieces of cartilage in my sandwich which was pretty gross. So why the four stars you ask...so far I've had mediocre service and a mediocre sandwich....well for lunch today I had the original gyro which was AMAZING. The meat was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back but will stay away from the chicken!

I'm done with all ahmos especially Brighton location!. Placed an order online. I received conformation of the order from the Brighton Store and we went to pick it up at 8:40. the workers on December 29th at that location said we must have ordered from another location and refused to complete the order. Apparently they wanted to go home early that night. I complained and got no reply. Screw that place. Plenty of places to eat in Brighton.

I have had Ahmo's many times. Their food is excellent. The staff and service are the best. The staff is very polite and really care about the customer. They are a welcome addition to Livingston County.

Food is good and portions are large. Staff is generally friendly and helpful but there are not many of them which can make the service a little slow, especially during peak dining hours. If you're ordering lunch, plan for a good 30 minutes to get your food. I'm all about the Chicken Shawarma plate, but gyros are good too.

Try the Ahmos gyro combo with fries. It's fantastic for lunch and the service is warm and welcoming. You can really tell they work hard to deliver great product.

I am so happy that Ahmos has a location finally in Brighton! They have the best gyros anywhere around! We have ordered carry out as well as delivery many times from them. We have only experienced a minor mistake with our food. We ordered just two gyro sandwiches with feta cheese. When I got home there was no cucumber sauce (the best part)! And no feta cheese on the gyros. I politely called the store and they handed the phone to the manager. He was very kind and apologetic to the mistake, I reassured him that I would be more than happy to pay for the up charge for the feta cheese and he assured me it was ok. When I arrived to pick up what I was thinking only to be two sides of feta along with the two cucumber sauces only to find he had already two new gyros made for me. I told him they really didn't have to go out of their way, especially so close to closing time, to make brand new sandwiches for us. He stated that any time his customers are happy he is more than happy. They went above and beyond for something so minor that I was very impressed and even offered the old gyros back to them. You can't find customer service like that most of the time in restaraunts, let alone a small gyro and deli place downtown. Ahmos deserves 5 stars for a great staff and great food!

Great selection of Gyros, salads, sandwiches, ect. Reasonably priced and authentic. I have had the Gyro, Ahmos Gyro, and Fiesty Gyro. All are very good. Service is fast and friendly.

Was very excited to have another delivery option in Brighton. Ordered for the first time today before my lunch break. Was told by the gentleman that took my order it would take 25-30 minutes for delivery which was fine. I ordered at 1:30 my order didn't arrive until 2:40pm. Again I thought ok no big deal they must have gotten busy, I can be understanding. I walked back to my desk to eat my lunch and found that my lunch was cold and was missing items that I ordered. Based on this experience I can't say I will be a returning customer. Only positive was the delivery driver was very pleasant.

Today when my husband called to see if I wanted lunch, I told him I was good, no lunch for me. He came home with a Gyro from Ahmo's. I couldn't keep my hands off his Gyro and wished I had said, "yes, grab me lunch." Tonight I was on my own for dinner, so guess where I went? Yes, Ahmo's. And I ordered the Gyro. Not only are they delicious, they're huge! This place is going to do very well in Brighton. Can't wait to try their lunches and dinners.

I had tried the Ahmo's in Brighton when it first opened and there were a few items that were decent enough for me to come back once in a while. Well, I just tried it again after being gone for a year and I have to recommend that no one eat here. The person at the counter was very friendly and the service was fine, but when I got my carry-out order home that is when the problems started. I ordered chicken shawarma, and what they gave me was NOT shawarma. It was just some dry flavorless pieces of chicken. Their chicken lemon rice soup used to be delicious, but not anymore. It tasted old and had way too much lemon in it. The fattoush dressing was way too sour, and did not taste homemade. I ordered a few pieces of baklava and it was so hard I could barely bite into it, it clearly was very old. As someone who has lived in and has family from Mediterranean countries I know not everything is going to be as good and authentic as others, but this was just awful. If the weather had not been bad I would have driven back and asked for my money back.

Ahmos YES, Ahmos in Brighton NO. Frequent lunch visitor of 3 Ahmos Ann Arbor locations. Rarely a complaint. Brighton Ahmos failed in 4 of 5 attempts. 5 different menu items 4 disasters and slow service. Only good meal was a gryo prepared by the owner. The other 4 meals found the garbage can. (Even after one of those attempts were sent back and re-prepared.) They keep changing staff with the same poor results. They need an Ahmos Ann Arbor cook to come in and train staff for month or so. (Food and prep is the problem, not counter staff and management.) Will not try again, will not recommend this location to anyone.

I've been in twice - both times hungry for an authentic gyro. Each time I've order the standard gyro with fries and drink It's all freshly made, and I chose both times to eat in. This is really more of a carry out place, but the seating area is really clean and comfortable - and they have free wifi. The gyro is very good, and the fries are also really tasty. The young men working at Ahmo's were polite and clean on both visits. I am impressed by the food and the cleanliness of the place. Would love to see the gyro sauce a little thicker, but that's my only minor complaint.

Had lunch here today. Food was good. When I walked in, it was my first time in here, I grabbed a menu and sat at a table. I waited for someone to acknowledge me, then finally was told that I had to come up and order at the front of the counter. No big deal, but when you see someone walk in, sit down, you should see if they need any help. I ordered the Gyro Combo, with fries and a pop. Food came up fast, and it was good. Gyro sauce was a little too runny for my preference, but it was good. While eating I saw the counter girl, and one of the cooks go outside for a smoke break, leaving a cook alone. A customer walked in, the cook came out from the back took her order, cashed her out then went outside to get his counter girl. Only problem was, not once did he take off his gloves. Handling money, working the register, opening the front door, then preceded to go back in the kitchen to cook this girls food. When his counter girl came back inside from smoking, she also just walked in, went back to work and didn't even wash HER hands. I left before the last cook came inside, but if I was a gambling man, I would bet my life that he walked in and didn't wash his hands either. But at least he had his gloves off. I probably won't go back here. Ive been in the restaurant business way too long to let stuff like this slide.

3 stars for good fries and a semi-conscious cook. Was looking forward to trying the "best gyro in town" so went for the chicken gyro combo. The meal came out within about 5 minutes which led me to believe that the food wasn't completely premade... or so I thought. Upon first glance I was trying to figure out if they mixed up the meat as it looked quite dark. I found some lighter pieces and went in for the bite to find the driest, saddest chicken pieces I have sank my teeth into. A couple minutes later the cook came out to ask how he did and I had to be honest so showed him the pieces (he had to have known) & took him up on his offer to remake it. A fresh, moist chicken gyro soon followed and was cooked how the first one should have been, although nothing great. The meat isn't very seasoned and their garlic yogurt sauce isn't very "garlicky". It was more like a standard chicken pita in my opinion. The classic gyro meat also appeared to be dry but my dining companion didn't want to send it back. This is really a take out kind of place and not very comfortable to dine in at. The young employees seemed to be wound up about something today and distracted from their jobs. The counter clerk found no shame in casually chatting at the top of her lungs with fellow co-workers which was pretty annoying. There were a few dirty tables but they didn't seem bothered to clean up after them with any urgency. But, it's casual dining afterall, so don't set your expectations high in service.

I have used ahmos for delivery on several occasions and it's always a long wait. On two occasions now it hasn't turned up at all. The first time I had some lame excuse which made no sense but the second time they were actually closed and yet they accepted my order and send me a confirmation email. What terrible customer service. Needless to say I won't be using them again.
