I haven been here several times since my move to the area about 3 years ago. Since coming here I have never had a bad experience. The one thing I can say about this place is the consistency. I have consistently had good food and good service. It is s big store and I have never had an issue with sitting right down except during prime time on a Friday which is to be expected. My parents love this place and insist on always coming here when they visit despite the vast variety of places to choose from in the immediate vicinity. Was not my first visit and I'm sure not my last

This place is A-OK in my book. A good place to dine or just go have a drink. The menu changes often, so it keeps me on my toes. The food is very consistent, and I've found the same with the waitstaff for the most part, except for my last visit. The server basically forgot about my friend and I. Our drinks weren't refilled, and we weren't checked on at all. The food came out timely because a food runner brought it to us. Extra dressing was brought out by the runner as well. We had to end up flagging our server down 10 minutes after we were done eating to get our drinks refilled. Generally, there isn't usually a wait to get a table, our food comes out fairly quick, and is always tasty. This place is good to get pretty much anything from a burger and fries to a fish entree.

Bar tender was not concerned with greeting new customers, or follow up drink orders. I was sitting for over 5 minutes waiting to order my first drink due to lack of attention at a relatively calm time of evening at the bar. Was not offered a second drink for a long time, had been sitting with an empty glass for over 10 minutes. Second time I received sub-par bar service at this location. The food was delicious though, and came out in a timely manner.

Ordered Steak Dinner with mashed potatoes and side salad. Side salad great, steak and potatoes not so much. Extremely bland flavor for a steak. Extremely poor service overall, bartenders enjoy complaining to service about their guests IN FRONT of other guests. Immature staff.

The new menu is really limited and there was only one pasta dish ): service was great but I'm used to coming and here and having a huge menu to choose from! The server said the old menu was outdated so it makes sense but I think that's why I liked it so much before.

Horrible service, disrespectful general manager, awful food. Now, I've gone to champs in troy and NEVER had bad service in fact quiet the opposite. With that being said, my food was cold, soup basically frozen ( 3 times my waitress Alissa brought me back cold soup with an even colder attitude!) I ordered a Cobb salad my company had ribs and a burger. Lettuce brown, dressing watered down like they needed to save money, ribs so dry my friend didn't even ask for more sauce just asked for some other entree in the menu and the burger pink but the outside burnt to a char! When I asked my waitress to move bc there were fruit flies EVER WHERE (we were close to the kitchen) my waitress Alissa basically told us it wouldn't matter where we moved there would still be flies! Fed up I asked for a manager. Luckily the general manager was there, this guy was the icing on top of the cake. He started an argument w us bc we told him how our visit had gone, told him how our food and the waitress' treatment was. In so many words told us to go BACK to champps of troy! He acted as if it were our fault our food and service was terrible! finally asked for the bill and I had extra items like Corona beer added! Once again I got nothing but attitude by my waitress eyes rolled and finally the correct bill. When leaving I asked for a business card and the hosts at the front stood there w arms folded as if it was a chore to reach and give me a card. I WILL NEVER BE BACK

Champps has been one of my favorites for years! It's a true staple & never disappoints. Some of my favorites are the guac burger & I usually substitute with a turkey burger. I also love the quesadillas. I probably get those every other time I'm there. Another great trait is the private room. I've probably had every type of celebration there & it's a perfect space. The restaurant is also a great place for any game day!

If someone hit me over the head and I woke up in this Champps, I would know I was in a Champps, but I would not know which one. The burgers and salads are pretty good and the service is friendly. It is borderline sports-bar atmosphere which is OK if you are in the mood, but I am getting tired of that particular formula now. The steaks are a bit pricey for what they are, but not bad.

You know this place is always been a typical sports bar... Food is okay service is pretty good, but there's consistency in the food... I know what I'm getting when I go there and usually pretty decent... Last time I went there the hostess was so rude and mean that I have zero desire to go back again... I really don't like being talked down do for no reason... I asked her what her name was and she said Joy which seems very ironic to me considering that she was one of the least joyful people I've ever met.

Good for sports. March madness? great. The food is meh the service is ok.hopefully the game you want to watch is on a normal channel because otherwise they can't find it. Lots of beer on tap.

I really like the food. Place seems to be overpopulated with unruly kids however. I try to avoid them by sitting in the bar area. The staff is insistent on putting the kids in the bar however. Last time in I asked to sit in the bar area. They said they had no spots even though I could see a spot in the corner. They instead seated my wife and I at a table in the hall way on the way to the bathroom. It was extremely enjoyable rubbing shoulders with everyone on the way to the bar.

I got the French dip and I thought that is gonna be good for 11.00 but I ended up getting a chewy piece of beef in my mouth. I was highly disappointed in this meal, plus the people we were with had gonna a meal was frozen the waitress came up and said that the steak was frozen. I don't recommend this place

I've come in here quite a few times with my family and its always been good food but I felt the need to comment on my most recent visit. The food was great as usual but Monica our server was simply delightful! She was always smiling and making great suggestions, not only thoughtful but personable! Really made our night we will be back to visit HER she's a wonderful asset to your wait staff! (:

This place is great to visit for a late night bite, or just to have a "safe" eatery to hang out with friends and watch sporting events. I've been coming to this location for years and it looks exactly the same. They could use some updating in there! As for food, I always order the Chicken Ranch Wrap; it's my favorite. They usually offer good service, but when they're busy, it takes forever to get your order. I have found the portion size of the food has gotten much smaller in recent years. The wrap used to be quite large and I could only eat half of it and be completely full. Now, I could eat 2 and not be full at all. The wrap contained a few tiny strips of chicken with lettuce and tomato. I have to say the flavor is consistent, however. My food may be a much smaller portion, but thankfully it still has the same flavor I expect to get when I order my food. The happy hour menu is decent and offers some good deals. I tried the BBQ Chicken Flat Bread and felt it lacked BBQ sauce, chicken, and had way too much cheese on it. I'd recommend trying other items for $5 off the happy hour menu when you visit during qualifying times.

Very big place! I like to sit in the bar at the high tops, but there is a full service bar area, booths and tables. More of a sports bar feel, lots of mixed drinks and beers to choose from. Several TVs but I don't mind the slightly loud atmosphere. The fish and chips, sandwiches, and salad are all very good. Try the waffle fries! The menu has a lot of variety so you can please a larger group of people. The service isn't anything over the top amazing, but always good. They check on you, but aren't annoying and their food comes out hot and fresh.

No one at my table finished their food. Salad bowl was unwashed with lots of dried food on the sides and a little inside. Service was nonexistent. Kid's pizza was finally brought to the table as we were ready to leave.

The food is edible. That's all I got. I would not run back here, if not for my 11 year old son who loves this place for their Mac and Cheese (which is Kraft-esqu) This will never be confused with fine dining. The service last time was pretty good.

Came here last night with a small group. The service was fine, our waitresses were sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The food however...meh. My bf ordered an 8 oz sirloin (medium rare) and that was admittedly delicious. The sweet potato fries it came with were good because it's kind of hard to screw that up, but I feel like they could have been much tastier. Kind of tasted like an afterthought. I was very excited for my ahi tuna taco trio. Unfortunately, my entree was almost inedible. The tuna was extremely bland and seemed to be over salted in lieu of any sort of seasoning or flavoring. The slaw inside was also whatever. The taco shells were store bought and super plain. The chips and salsa on the side were also most likely store bought. A friend ordered the vodka farfale, which was quite tasty. Maybe 3 stars would be more fair, but the ahi tuna tacos really brought down my experience here.

I've been here a few times for happy hour. On my last visit we sat in the bar area during happy hour. We had to ask our waitress about specials and she didn't bring them up herself. I asked for a water to start and she came back 10 mins later with it. The glass was clearly dirty as there was things floating in it. She gave an attitude when I asked for a new glass. Had the margarita pizza which was soggy. The spinach and artichoke dip was good.

If I have to go to a chain restaurant, I'll go with Champps. This one is pretty close to my house and they send out $10 coupons all the time. Service has always been pretty good and they have a million TVs to watch sports. We normally go at off-times because I refuse to wait at a place like this. I LOVE their nachos. Yum.

This place isn't Champs, it's Champps. The extra P tries to tell you it is extra good or something but it's just a regular eatery. Hamburgers, wings and cobb salads are the standard fare. Televisions everywhere. I got the feeling this place was a bit pretentious. Your paying a little more for a beer and a steak hoagie because of the nice ambience, but it isn't anything that will blow you away. Burgers were fair and to be honest, I probably would not have ordered one if it weren't half off. I wouldn't touch this place during a sporting event because I wouldn't want to come off as a lame yuppie sports fan. I'll stick to neighborhood bars and local restaurants for my burgers and beer from now on.

Must be disagreeable, my meal was terrible! I had the bland Kung Po Chicken nuggets with gummy over-cooked rice and some tired dark-looking unknown vegetables on the side. The poor loss-looking waiter was cute but clueless on the foods he was suppose to be serving when questioned about the menu. He kept trying to give us the food ordered by the table next to us because he forgot who ordered what. LOL. This place is better suited for a meet and greet establishment but not a place for a decent dinner.

The food is decent but the server was not. I had ordered the lunch pasta combo...meatball fettuccine and a mini Greek salad. The salad was okay but had so many onions in it, both finely diced pieces and larger slices. The pasta was anything but meatball fettuccine. It was Alfredo sauce with chunks of chicken and red peppers. I brought it to the our server's attention and she offered to bring out the meatball fettuccine, but by that time, the rest of the party was practically done eating.

My very first dining experience in Michigan. I feel like it's somewhat representative of the state so far with all the sports memorabilia covering the walls. I can see this being a madhouse on big game days. As for the menu, it's pretty commonly seen in sports bar slash restaurants. There are a variety of burgers, huge salads, heavy pastas, and the like. I decided to go as light as possible and got French Onion Soup with a side Greek salad. It's not gourmet by any means but it's hearty food. What can I say, people are so friendly in this part of town!

Great place to watch a game, any game, the crowd is always enthusiastic. The food is good for sports oriented tv watching, nachos, buffalo wings, potato skins.... they also do sandwiches and burgers and pastas. The martinis are good and the beer selection is pretty good. The set up of the bar is nice, with the elevated seating for the dining area. THere is also a back room with a fireplace that is nice for groups (and of course with TVs). On non-game nights they offer karaoke.

Located in a decent size shopping center, Champps is a restaurant/bar at the end of Southwestern Highway. Great place to go with the guys and drink some beer while watching a game on the TVs.

I have eaten at Champps many, many times and usually the food is very good and reasonably priced. They have a new menu item, Bacon Tacos, and on my most recent visit, decided to order them. BIG, HUGE MISTAKE!!! They are supposed to be bacon shells with fillings. Well when they came out, they were basically cooked bacon which was then put back into the refridgerator and then brought out again and filled. They were ICE COLD and if you can imagine cold, fatty, greasy bacon which was not warmed, then you got it. We called the manager over and he said they were supposed to be like that. I can't imagine anyone eating ice cold basically raw greasy bacon. So if you go, skip that dish. Everything else there is pretty good.

Went there last Saturday to get a bite to eat and catch the UFC fights. They charge you $5 per person added to your bill to watch. No big deal as they are $60 to rent at home. What was bad was the service. Ignored for ten minutes after we sat down while the waitress cleared the table next to us. Food was ok. Had to ask for cutlery when food came as server never brought before hand. No checking on how dinner was until we were almost done. Had to flag her down to get drink refills. The worst part is the place was not super busy. Have been here quite a few times as it is close to where I live but it is time for to find a new place to catch the fights.

Came here the other night after the Tigers game, after that rain storm. Even though my Tigers won..I was ready for dinner and to catch up on some college football action. We were greeted by someone who was not the hostess and was obviously "filling in" for the hostess. Anyway, the place is loud, I couldn't hear the guy and when I asked him what, he got shitty with me....Grrr. Dude speak up...not the way I want to start this off. And remember buddy J Alexanders is right there. I parked in between, its not gonna kill me to go there. Finally, we were seated and our server showed up who made it all better. After the lousy entrance, we still got the same good food you'd expect at Champps. I will say you must try the crab bread. That alone makes it worth it and soothed my mood. I ended up with the BBQ chicken salad. Always good. My only complaint...get some customer service skills to people who hang out front to greet you. Otherwise..A-OK.

I love this place during happy hour (half off appetizers). The mile high nachos can satisfy the table. I eat here more often than a person should.

Never thought I would visit this place, but recently had an opportunity to visit for a company gathering. The food and service was better than I expected. Their lunch specials are a great deal. Becareful, generous servings. Will try again with family.

Our waitress last night deserved 5 stars but she had trouble getting our beers from the bar in a timely manner, and our food was obviously sitting awhile, it was barely warm. When the food was served by someone else, it was missing a side we ordered. Our waitress then took another beer order and said she would get the missing side. She put the beer order in, then went to the kitchen. After several minutes, she brought the side, but it took several more minutes for the beer to order. It seems like the bar and kitchen were understaffed. Food was excellent even though not as hot as you would like. They were not that busy, so it seems they were just short of staff at the bar and in the kitchen. They could have served us another round of beers had they been served faster!

I go there once a week to grab a late night dinner and a drink. They have really good burgers and salads, but pretty much everything on their menu is good. Drinks are pretty good, I personally like their margarita. They have lots of tvs so you can watch a game, and they have a fireplace in the back room which is particularly nice in the winter time. Overall a good sports bar, with good service and great food!

3 1/2 stars. I love Champps consistency. Tasty waffle fries. Tasty sandwiches. Great apps. Very good drinks from the bar. A great place to go for whatever game you want...screens everywhere!

I like Champps because real sport fans dwell here! Nothing like being in the building when a Piston's game is on. The food is great and so is the service. If you really want the pleasure of seeing adults from opposing teams argue like kids, this is the place. If you are wearing a Boston or Cleveland jersey or even hint that you may be anti-Pistons, it's on! Even though we lost the playoffs to the Celtics it was great to have the camaraderie of the entire restaurant all on the same page. This place is often crowded when there is a big game so get there early for a table. The best thing about this place is that they don't give you the evil eye if you're there to enjoy the game or as some would see it, taking up paying patron space. Great place to hang out!

I've been to this location a couple of times to meet friends for dinner. I love Champps simply because there are televisions everywhere! In fact, I really only come here during basketball games. The food is great. I believe the last thing I had was a hamburger. Yeah, I know... why get a hamburger when they have so many other great things on the menu! I always appreciate the service here as well. The hostess greets you at the door and always tries to make sure you are accommodated. The servers are always busy, but I can tell they were trained well to be attentive. Overall, four stars from me :-)

I had my rehearsal dinner here and we were in the private dinning and the service and the food was top notch. I had the salmon and I was blown away with how good it was. Burgers are also amazing. This place is always busy so try not to go between 630 and 730 or expect to wait.
