Really mediocre. If i could give 2.5 stars i would, but i guess im feeling generous. First of all, the place is pretty clean, but there was a piece of gum under the table. My wife tried to pick it off and got her fingers all messy. I wasnt in the mood for a second burrito but my wife insisted. She fed it to me with her messy fingers and i could still taste the gum. Overall, not too gross but not too great either. I might come back. My wife says maybe it would be a good spot to bring her mother when she visits, her mother is also a mediocre person.

I love QDoba... but this location isn't really the best. They get semi-low volume, so the queso sauce tends to get crusty. Surprisingly, even though they don't get many guests, they also tend to keep a pretty dirty restaurant. On any given day I can expect every single booth to be dirty. On the plus side - it's really convenient... and near a great grocery store!

I'm giving this place 2 stars SIMPLY because it is Qdoba and there food is decent. It used to be one of my FAVORITE spots. Unfortunately, the "manager" is an incredibly unhappy, rude, sloppy... dick... Every time my friend and I have come here (it's in between our places of employment) he is unfortunately working. His attitude is rude and rushed. He is snide and consistently looks greasy. Tonight he really killed me... I ordered the nachos, chips on the side. My Friend ordered "the exact same thing minus cheese".... He gave her the nachos with no chips... When she asked for the chips he got an attitude and actually wanted to charge her more!!! When he had already charged her just as much as my food was. Now this sounds stupid, but when you're paying for a service as important as FOOD, it should be pleasant, to say the least. All I want is for him to get a good shower and a smile I don't think that's too much..... P.s. Qdoba, it really shows that you are more concerned with saving PENNIES, then hiring happy pleasant workers. Which really upsets me since I choose to support you over chipotle. I'm definitely rethinking that choice...

Wow, this location ha really gone downhill!b I don't live in Birmingham, so I haven't been here for about a year or so. When my daughter was in a play with the Village Players a couple of years back, I ate here about once a week during rehearsals. It was really good then. But my daughter and I went there today and it was horrible. The place was dirty, the food was old, the staff was rude. My daughter is a vegetarian and was looking forward to the grilled veggies. They were out of vegetables (the place was dead, so I was surprised) When I asked how long before the veggies came out, the girl replied, "a really, really long time..." Okaaaay, so we ordered what was available and she worked like she was in slow motion, no kidding! At that point, I had been very polite, so it wasn't that she was angry, she was just lazy and didn't want to be there! The person ringing me up looked right through me and didn't catch it when I said we wanted 2 cookies, which we did without, since we didn't get charged for them. The food was sub-par and the dining area was dirty. I went to the restroom, and there were 2 empty toilet paper tubes and no toilet paper. Yet, there were 4 or 5 people working! I can't blame the owners, because they are obviously hiring and scheduling enough staff. The staff was just super lazy. The staff just needs to go home. They obviously don't want to work.

Please tell corporate if you are going to increase prices, increase portion size. I had some tacos (3) and chips the other day totaling over $11. A few weeks prior the total was somewhere over $10. There was maybe 5-6 small chunks of meat in each taco, and the small shells were maybe 1/3 full. On the flip side, the staff is always really nice and efficient... which is always awesome!!! Solution: Double-up on the portions to accommodate guest expectations... After doing so, If guests comment "your tacos are too big, I cant finish them" - then return to filling small shells 1/3 full... otherwise, guests will likely return again and again when larger portions are served creating economies of scale and the overall cost of operating may decrease as prices for bulk-purchased items are sometimes lower.

Gets very busy during lunch so be prepared to wait but great for a nearby Mex bite. Tacos are my go to item here. Portion size varies on employee making them.

They don't mess around. You get a lot.of yumminess for your buck. Fresh ingredients. Naked or wrapped... you pick. Love it.

I've always enjoyed Qdoba, Chipotle, Pancheros and any place that will load enough food into one giant tortilla to ease my hunger pains. Giant overstuffed burritos are the reason I get up in the morning. The terrible service that I experienced at this Qdoba however, will probably keep me from returning. My girlfriend and I were planned on placing a carryout order at around 8 p.m. this past Saturday. There were two groups of people ahead of us and it took the workers no less than 20 minutes to get through the line. We almost walked out. When it came time for me to order, I realized they were out of grilled vegetables for the fajita burritos. So not only were the workers not creating the food quickly enough, they also weren't making the food. When it finally came time to pay, the cashier was less than friendly. She rarely made eye contact and talked with her head down. I could hardly make out the words she was saying. She likely wasn't paying attention because she rang the order up wrong and then when it was time to go, walked away from the counter and into the back room without handing me my food. This may seem like I am just complaining but if you go through my previous reviews you will see that an overwhelming majority of them are positive. Rarely if ever do I complain about service, but on this particular night, I felt like I was at a podunk McDonald's. Next time I will eat elsewhere.

Qdoba in Birmingham...mediocre corporate mexican served with a complimentary side of bad attitude. --------------- While working in Birmingham, I don't have a lot of choices for Mexican food. None actually. Besides Qdoba just outside of downtown. Being a big burrito fan I suck it up and head over here once or even twice a week. It's rather bland and not very good but it'll have to do. But that'll change after today's visit. After heading over for a late lunch, I came through the door, dawdled for maybe 20 seconds trying to decide what I wanted to eat, which apparently infuriated the cook (or whatever you call someone who assembles a burrito at one of these places), who asked me demandingly 'are you gonna eat?!'. I could think of several flip replies, but I figured I'd answer with my wallet instead and walked out. Here's a tip Qdoba...the 'soup nazi' gets away with it because his soup is amazing...you're not close to amazing Qdoba, you're an 'it'll have to do'. For now, I'll go without, and when the weather improves, I'll do the 25 minute walk to Chipolte.

This is a busy Qdoba during lunch time... Usually very full. During the summer they have an outdoor area that is nice. The food here is same as other Qdoba. It's good and quickly made. I would prefer Chipotle which is only a mile away but Qdoba makes good Burritos and Tacos that's comparable.

This is my favorite Qdoba! The staff is great and the food is always delicious. I get the chicken quesedilla usually and it's delicious. It always has a lot of cheese and the chicken is never dry. When I eat in, the restaurant it self is always clean and the utensil station is always organized. This is the Qdoba to go to.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
