The food...I liked it. What I did not like was the Margarita Pitcher Special. On this particular night a Pitcher of Margs was $12. Me and a friend shared it; 3 drinks a piece. If there was any Tequila in there we could not find it. Teed me off so much I have not been back in a year. Thats a shame because I like the food, but I am nobody's fool. WEAK WEAK WEAK. Nuff said.

Food is good but can't call it excellent. Portions are on the smallish side. Salsa is above average. Atmosphere is poor with a large screen tv w/o volume on; shabby interior and furnishings; ie tables, chairs, booths are pretty beat up. All in all, at least give it a try once.

I don't know how this place has only two stars! Their servers are always friendly beyond belief, the white cheese dip is to die for and every meal I've ever had was delicious. I've never tried the "weak" margarita pitchers but the regular margaritas are good and I can taste the yummy tequilla. My choices: the chile relleno, nachos Mexicanos, and the fajitas rancheras...all top notch for me :) my husband loves the El Di especial. I gave 5 stars to make up for people's whining about margaritas but it's probably a 4 star due to awesome local authentic Mexican food, but lacks slightly in decor and polish which one would expect from a high class 5-Star joint.

People go here to drink for a few dollars. They have a decent white cheese sauce. Their fried tacos and chalupas resemble store bought shells. They have good fajitas for the local area. If you want to take a large group and have some fun together at a restaurant, this is the only Mexican restaurant that can accommodate it.

My food has been good...but DO NOT GET the Margarita Pitcher when it is on sale for $11.99. They probably remove alcohol from it and use a mixer that has a Tequila Taste to it w/o the Alcohol. I say this because... #1) on a visit 2 years ago a friend and myself shared a pitcher and had 4.5 margys each in less than an hour. I KNOW what 4.5 Margaritas feels like. FAIL! #2) On a visit on Cinco de Mayo 2013 I had a Margarita Pitcher BY MYSELF. Thats 9 margs in 90 minutes. Yes I felt it, but I should have been slurring my speech. I waited 30 minutes after a my meal then took a breathalyzer ( a real one, not a toy). I blew .063. WTF? My designated driver said to me... "what did you need me for?" Stick with beer at this place. There are better Margs downtown. In all fairness if the food is all you care about... it is pretty good. Food Good Service Excellent. Margaritas... Substandard in Taste and Content. Thats a fact...Jack!

This place rocks! I've walked in with groups of fifteen about half hour before closing time and they seat us with a smile. They don't skimp on the complimentary chips and salsa, either. As far as alcoholic beverages, I've had their bottled beer (decent selection) and their margaritas. I've always thought the margaritas are plenty strong, not sure what the bad reviews about that are talking about. They have always brought our food out rather quickly, and the right order at that lol. Portion size is very generous, so left overs for lunch the next day, can't complain about that!

Well, I thought the food was good but there definitely wasn't enough. I NEVER want to leave a restaurant still hungry, and unfortunately I did. I went there with my family and we had a bigger group. When we walked in, I thought we had stepped into a bar in East LA. Very poor decor, bad lighting, overall pretty dirty. We ended up sitting in their pool table room. Unfortunately, the jukebox was BLASTING, and there were kids running around everywhere like it was an episode of Romper Room. I ordered a taco salad and it came in one of those new flat bottomed taco's. Not the taco bowl. I'm ok with that, but it was about 1/2 the portion of a regular taco salad. The food itself was good, but out of principle I was not going to order another one. The rest of my family enjoyed their food too, but all said it was not the best they've had in Adrian, and certainly not the best they've ever had. The thing that saved this place from 2 starts was the service. We had an incredibly cool server who joked with us the whole time and was right on top of our requests. Everything came out quickly, and he gave us the perfect amount of attention. We all had separate checks, and he nailed that part too. Great job guy! Now you just need to work in a restaurant that matches your excellence.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
