The Good: Classic, casual, comfortable diner. I have a nostalgic fondness for old-school diners, and if you do too, you'll love it. The Bad: Nothing! Just don't go expecting anything fancy (it is in a strip mall after all), appreciate it for what it is -- a classic American diner. The Food: Classic unfussy diner food. My blueberry pancakes are always delicious, the homefries are real potatoes, and they make their own biscuits, zucchini bread, and croissants. They serve breakfast all day, which is awesome. The Service: Classic diner service. Get ready to be called "hon" by the same waitresses who've worked there forever, who joke and chat with the regulars. Overall: I kept coming back for the comforting atmosphere and food. I love this diner!

As a server, I'm very disappointed with the service we received. The waitress was not friendly and never checked on us once we had our food and then dropped our bill without even a thank you. As far as I'm concerned, checking on someone once they have food is a waitresses priority and doing it with a smile on your face would be a nice touch. We were not impressed and probably won't return. The food also didn't do a good job at making up for the bad service.
I stopped by the Sunrise Grill recently, which serves up breakfast and lunch in a casual and comfortable setting. The place was moderately busy and I sat myself at an open table near the kitchen. The friendly waitress promptly arrived with breakfast and lunch menus, as it took me a few moments to decide what I wanted to order. I glanced up at the Specials board and decided on the Grilled Chicken Focaccini ($7.99) served with fries & dill pickle spear. The food was served to me in about 15 minutes. The square sandwich was big which had a chargrilled chicken breast topped with pesto, diced tomatoes, and melted mozzarella cheese over leaf lettuce on a soft thick toasted square focaccia roll, yummy! The standard golden fries were hot and crisp. Overall, lunch was very good and fairly priced. The service was prompt and the waitress also brought out another ice water to my table during the meal.

Prices- Again, they are on par with every other diner with affordable breakfast staples and daily specials. Service- It's been lackluster both times I've come, The waitstaff is friendly, but rarely check on the table after they bring the food, I really don't want to have to wait 10 minutes for a water refill or for you to come back when you've brought the check. Atmosphere- It's clean inside, located in the same strip mall as Tasty Thai. It's not enormous inside, the tables are just barely far enough away from each other to avoid being awkward. It's one of those epitome of average places where nothing puts it over the top or sinks it down. It's fine for a breakfast if you're in the area, but the waitstaff needs to be more attentive.

Stopped by this morning and people were literally waiting outside to get in and eat. If there was 1 con Id say this was it. They need to have a bigger place to accommodate all their fans. Staff is awesome, food is amazing and fast. Prices are cheap. It's understandable why with so many other places to eat in this general vicinity, people are willing to wait to get in. It doesn't look like much but has all the core things that male a great mom and pop restaurant and turn people including my family into regulars.

The Sunrise Grill was a very pleasant surprise, right off of the Kittery Traffic circle. It is an old school diner.. The crowd, at 8:00 on a pre-Memorial Day Sunday morning, seemed to be mostly local. The vibe was wonderful old school diner. The middle aged waitresses were uniformly friendly and pleasant. The food was excellent. We had a couple of Fiesta scrambles and a vegetarian omelette. The service was relaxed, but not negligent. The only thing that had room for improvement was the coffee, which was only OK. This place is on the top of my short list for breakfast when I'm in the area.

Sunrise Grill is a nice breakfast alternative, conveniently located next to Tasty Thai. The menu isn't very exotic and doesn't break any new ground, and the corned beef hash tastes pre-made, but all of the food was good came out really fast, and the service was friendly and personable. It's the kind of place that's especially easy to deal with when I haven't had any coffee yet, and I'd absolutely be a regular customer if I lived within walking distance. They also had a lunch menu that looked good, but I didn't try it because I was in the mood for breakfast.

*Backlog* Came here a few weeks back with the Fiancé while enjoying a nice Saturday morning. We came in and an older lady sat us down and.... Well, that was it. No response to my greetings, menus or drink orders taken. She then proceeded to walk outside pickup a watering can and water the plants outside for a little over five mintues, walk back in and ignore us. We waited about 10 minutes additional before a younger girls seeing my fiancé mouthing "What the Fuck" a few times came over to offer us drinks and menus. I have no idea what to think about the situation, truly I don't remember the food but I remember the experience..... She watered the plants....
