Really Good pizza! Doesn't take credit card but it's worth the trip to the atm. Seriously though the best pizza ever and I'm from NY. :) Deserves more customers.

Camden is a neat seaside town in Maine, and it's small enough that I believe I can list all of their pizza options: *Camden House of Pizza - the only place that specializes in pizza *Cuzzy's - a restaurant/bar that begins serves brick oven pizza all day *Smokestack Grill - a restaurant/sports bar that doesn't open until late afternoon on some days *Cappy's Chowder House - a large restaurant that only offers a margherita pizza appetizer After scouting out all of the possibilities, I chose Camden House of Pizza since it is the most focused on pizza, and I was pretty happy with my selection. It keeps up with the small town charm of Camden by being a mom and pop shop where the owner greats everyone as "friend" when they walk in. He then takes your order (have cash because that's all they accept), and, if you dine in, his wife brings you your food when it's ready. Being so close to a park and the harbor, carryout from Camden House of Pizza is a good option as well, but I took advantage of their small eat-in area. Camden House of Pizza also serves salads, grinders, hamburgers, and a few other items, so I decided to try their garlic bread with cheese to at least get a taste of what else they have to offer. It had a lot of flavor, and its nearly homemade taste supports their quaint image. Their pizzas come in small (10-inch) or large (16-inch) sizes, and I ordered a small with half pepperoni and half just cheese. The crust was fairly thin and crispy, and it had a nice amount of grease. I found the cheese to be pretty good, the sauce to be decent, and it is nice that it is a fairly light pizza if you plan to do any outdoor activities afterwards. Overall, I think Camden House of Pizza offers a good break from the typical seafood of the area, and most reviews seem to state that it is the best option for Pizza in Camden.

The best pizza north of NYC! You can't get pizza this good anywhere else. I live in CA, but my dad lives nearby and I try stop by every time I'm in the area. Super delicious.

Excellent family owned restaurant. Had A+ service there from the owner I suppose. Our pizza was good and so was the cheese sticks!

Great pizza...very friendly. Don't take cc but there a couple of ATMs within a 30 second walk.

Ordered Italian subs. Uncle Jeff needs to put some meat on these things . There was, however ,plenty of lettuce to fill us up. I'm using a benchmark of other sub shops from which we have ordered. However, on the plus side, food was ready on time. Be prepared to pay in cash.

Called ahead for pickup, and the pizza was ready when I got there. Thin, crispy crust - not a ton of flavor, but it was cooked well. At $24 for two large pizzas, even in a tourist town, I thought might have been pushing it. I wanted more for the price, or charged less for the product - value just isn't there. I wouldn't tell you to stay away, but I might not return.

Wonderful pizza! "Uncle Jeff" is so delightful and our visit was a great change of pace from the pounds of seafood consumed.

It was refreshing to find an actual "local" restaurant in Camden, tucked in among the overpriced tourist eateries here. Nothing fancy, just some Formica benches and pizza fresh from the oven. Definitely my kind of place!

The owner who always does the cooking makes a great pie. It is a unique pizza, not the sloppy, undercooked doughy crust you get at most local pizza places. The crust actually holds up the other ingredients instead of being over run by them. If you find the crust/pizza at the CHOP to be less than tasty, I can't imagine what you might think of a typical Maine pizza in which the crust resembles undercooked bread, only tasting worse. The CHOP also serves burgers, which we got for our daughter. My wife had a few bites and she raved about it. They have other choices like salad, fries, onion rings sandwiches. The happy couple who own the place are the only ones I ever see working there and they are always happy to serve. Remember to bring cash or you'll end up like me, doing the walk of shame to the ATM across the street. :)

Definitely pricey. Not a hefty pizza instead a thin crispy crust. 3 topping large cost us over $21 and honestly wasn't much to the pizza. Flavors and spices were bland. Very dissapointed.

We just officially moved to Camden this afternoon and didn't really want to cook anything for dinner tonight, so we thought we'd check out the local pizza place. I have to say that I'm very glad that we did! As a huge fan of spinach and feta pizza, I gave theirs a try and loved it!
