Harbor Dogs

Loved the crab roll and the fish tacos and the PRICE! Perfect for a meal for n the go. Easy access from the pier.
Excellent food and great service. Nothing like a Maine hot dog while sitting on the dock watching the boats come and go. This place will become a regular spot on our trips to Camden.
Lobster roll was good and the dogs were great. One of my dogs had shredded cheese on it. I would think melted cheese would have been better than cold cheese on the dog. Make sure you ask them about the toppings on the specialty dogs. One had a blueberry habanero topping which was quite unique and good. Will definitely return.

We stayed in this amazing place 5 nights and slept with the sound of the ocean. The views were amazing, and the service could have not been better. The personal attention we received is something we treasure and when in Maine again we'll be sure to stay here. If you are looking for a high end place: clean, secluded, with amazing views, manicured gardens, 100% privacy, 0% noise, personal attention, private deck, and the neighbors far enough, you found it. Please notice that visitors are not allowed. This helps to maintain your privacy and the privacy of others at 100%. Breakfast by Joyce was outstanding!

Abigail’s Bed & Breakfast

We have stayed at Abigail's B&B twice before during our summer vacations and had wonderful times at the historic inn. The accommodations are "wife approved" from a design perspective and I love the beds... solid sleeps comes easy here! We love the short walk to the beautiful town of Camden. What I never noticed until this first winter stay were the automatic stoves in the guestrooms that really just seal the charm. As always, the highlight in the morning is breakfast- the owner's Kipp and Beth's creations. My one advice when you stay here is to make sure you don't miss the breakfast and if you find they are serving the "Dutch Bunny" count your lucky stars... you're in for a treat. Another real treat for the winter in Camden is the town's own ski slopes, theCamden Snow Bowl. Four miles from the door, you have access to snow fun for the family-skiing, boarding, tubing. We decided to start over again and learn snow boarding with the kids and had a great time! Abigails B&B was there for us at the end of the day with the stove crackling. We reminded the kids the sooner they got to bed the sooner breakfast would come... everyone agreed.

My parents and I stayed here during a long summer weekend. The owner was amazing, she steered us to all the best parts of town - not that you can go terribly awry in Camden, but we were consistently blown away. Everything is in walking distance from the adorable house, the breakfast is outstanding, and the 'service' top notch. She treated us like we were her long lost family. Highly recommended!

This B&B is definitely 5 stars in my book. The new owners (Lisa and Ted) were fantastic hosts from the time we arrived to the time we left. We were only planning on staying one night and stayed two. The entire Inn was beautifully decorated, quiet and close to town (5 minute walk). The breakfasts were first class. This Inn could be used as a quiet getaway as well as a venue for events (weddings, engagement and bachelorette parties). The front and back yards are lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them at all. Suzan and David
We had a two night stay. Very quant inn. Mary Anne and her husband were very friendly, nice and accommodating. Our spacious room and private bath was in the carriage house next door to the main house. Very private and comfortable. Large king bed, deck overlooking the back yard with a glimpse of the ocean through the trees. Room comes with a sit down gourmet breakfast. There were only two other couples there at the time, so the six of us sat together for two mornings. Nice way to meet people! The inn is a 3 minute walk to the center of town and close to restaurants. Thanks Mary Anne for a relaxing weekend!
We got very lucky and scored a room at this lovely B&B in Camden Maine. The location is great - a few steps from the quaint downtown area, the rooms are so comfortable and with every ammenity you could want, great breakfast, peaceful grounds include a brook along the edge of the property creates a soothing soudscape for the nighttime. Lisa, the owner, is so warm and welcoming. We had such a great time. This place is worth the stay if you are in camden.

Swan House

Reviews:
I stayed at the Swan House Inn last week with my boyfriend for a night. We were preparing for a 3-day kayaking trip we had planned with Maine Sport and needed a place to stay. I looked into many b&bs in the area and found this one on camdeninns.com . We stayed in the Black Swan room which far exceeded my expectations. The room was super cute and quaint and was separated from the main house so we had great privacy. I'm a stickler for clean and this place was definitely up to par. Lynn, the owner was extremely welcoming and warm. She offered us tea and baked goods (obviously a win) upon our arrival and prepared us an amazing breakfast of baked eggs with cheddar and spinach, which served us well for our kayak that day. No matter what age, this place is a great find, super close to town, affordable and clean accommodations. Five stars!

Camden Windward House Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at the Camden Windward House (in the Quarterdeck Room) was wonderful. Kristen & Jesse are wonderful & thoughtful. Their customer service is impeccable and they have thoughtfully considered every touch, big and small. They thoughtfully and non intrusively offer suggestions on what to do and where to eat. The breakfasts are filling and delicious. The town of Camden was a delight to visit and we look forward to a return visit to the Camden Windward House. Side note, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Moxie, the innkeepers' dog, on a couple of occasions! A very sweet, quiet lady who satiated our need to pet a dog!
Oh what a wonderful little bed and breakfast! Located right in the center of Camden, has convenient parking in the back as well. Breakfast was a-la-carte and was great. The rooms are quaint, clean, and have all of the commodities to make your stay feel like you are being pampered. And the bed: not sure what it was, but it was incredibly comfortable. The owners are very pleasant and knowledgeable and are happy to share tips on what to see etc. If you ever go to Camden, Windward house is not to be missed!
We loved the breakfasts including that you got to order from the menu. At our BnB in Portland it had a buffet, and I assume the owner ended up throwing food away at the end of the morning. I love that the Windward Inn did not have to waste. I appreciated the eggs being from pasture raised chickens, free range eggs. Our host was friendly remembering what we had said we would sight-see, then the next morning ask how it went. Our room the Crows' Nest was cute. There are 2 Crows' Nest rooms both taking up the third floor. Because of the slanted ceilings, you'll need to sit down to use the toilet. We liked that the BnB had a guest refrigerator. Internet was always the full three bars.

It's been awhile since I stayed here, but I tell anyone and everyone about it when they ask what it's like in Maine. We came to this bed and breakfast from another one after deciding to extend our trip for another day. The previous B&B was frilly, annoying, a little creepy, a little weird, and the wife of the couple was oddly insistent that we all be at breakfast at 8:15 on the dot each morning. Ah, relaxing! It was like the kind of vacation a Nazi might enjoy. But then we found this place, and immediately regretted not staying here in the first place. Dave and Karen, the owners, are so sweet and cool. They make you feel so comfortable and welcome. Their breakfast kicks so much butt, and since it was summer, we enjoyed in on their gorgeous patio. They also have an adorable dog, Caffrey. Instead of being frilly and disgusting like many B&Bs, the decor is warm and inviting. They've done an amazing job making this place like your home away from home. If you're going to Maine, staying anywhere other than this place would make you a total sucker.
This is a lovely B&B run by the nicest couple, Dave and Karen. They were so accomodating and friendly. The check-in and check-out process was super easy. We had to leave early before they served the full breakfast so Karen had baked us homemade banana muffins to go which were FABULOUS! Not to mention's Karen's awesome cooking skills with the breakfast. The house has a really nice porch to enjoy the weather and ocean view. I will definitely be staying again at this place when I go back to Camden.
Went here again while in town for a conference. Stayed in one of the largest rooms in the house overlooking the ocean to the east. Incredible sunrise views. Breakfast has gotten even better and the house has stayed as warm, cozy, and uncluttered as always. Dave and Karen are still great and everyone else booked here had nothing but positives about their experiences as well.

Blue Harbor House

Reviews:
I 've never written a review before but The Blue Harbor House Inn inspired me to write my first! We stayed there for our 30th anniversary and it couldn't have been a better choice - Terry & Annette are incredible hosts! They are warm and welcoming and made us feel very special. The flowers, amazing chocolate covered strawberries and a card were really lovely and thoughtful. Terry had a lot of helpful suggestions of things to do and restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed talking with him. We stayed in the Captain's Quarter which was a great room. The sauna/shower was amazing. It was helpful that it had a refrigerator in the room. We especially liked the gas fireplace which made it very cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we've ever had! We told Annette that we thought she should go on one of the TV shows where chefs compete. It is served in a sunny lovely room with elegant china and table cloths. Terry is very attentive. They were amazingly accomodating to our challenging dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.). Annette had made special delicious gluten-free cookies for the afternoon tea and had gluten-free bread for breakfast. The poached eggs florentine (she left off the sauce for my dairy-free needs) were the best I've ever had - the oatmeal was delicious, poached pears in berry sauce were superb - the bacon was the cooked to crispy perfection. We look forward to returning to the Blue Harbor House Inn! Thank you Annette & Terry!
This place is delightful! Terry and Annette are amazing hosts. Terry makes you feel welcome from the moment you meet him. He has a wonderful sense of humor and can give you plenty of tips about shopping and restaurants. Annette creates brilliant breakfasts; yummy homemade granola with yoghurt and berries followed by Eggs Florentine one morning, poached pears with blueberry pancakes another. DELICIOUS!! There is a small "amenities closet" available with water and ice. Also afternoon tea, but treat yourself to a bottle of wine and some cheese from the local shop (Lily, Lupine, and Fern is the best!) and sit on the front porch to watch the world waltz by. Ah! It doesn't get much better than that.
We stayed here for 2 nights two weeks ago it was great Terry and Annette a Scottish couple own the BB. It is in walking distance to the town so we never took our car unless we ventured out to other parts of Camden and surrounding towns. The room we had was spacious the bed was very comfortable shower was unreal with jets and steam, along with a sound system built in. Over stuffed huge chairs that were so firm and very relaxing, along with a gas fireplace. Breakfast is included homemade granola with fresh vanilla yogurt and eggs of your choice. Every morning it was something different, bottled water and afternoon cookies and tea compliments.

Valentina Coastal Maine Kitchen

20 Washington St
Camden, 04843
Reviews:
Absolutely impeccable on all fronts: food, wine list, service and atmosphere were all nearly indescribable. The restaurant is situated on a small corner behind the Camden Opera House. It's inconspicuous, with a bright yellow door and gray exterior. Walk inside, and the decor is simple and understated but modern. The menu is a combination of small plates & larger entrees. Our table of five chose to share a few small plates to start and then each ordered our own entrees. Everything was AMAZING (as far as entrees go, we tried steak frites, braised short ribs & lobster pasta). We topped the meal off with desert and French press coffee. The best part of our meal was the the owner of Valentina-- he was extremely attentive (but not too much so), made great suggestions, and even brought out some samples for the table. Dining at Valentina was truly amazing. I wouldn't have expected to enjoy one of the best meals of my life in a small coastal Maine town!
We had a really nice dinner here on the advice of the B&B host at the Captain Swift. It appears this is a newer restaurant in the Camden scene, but they certainly have the food down. Touting their all fresh and local menu, they offer a variety of options from land and sea. We ended up ordering the scallop small plate and the poached fresh Maine lobster. Both of which were cooked perfectly. We also had several drinks from the bar. Service was friendly and informative. The manager even stopped by a few times to check out how we were doing. Overall the decor was nice and simple and I liked the open feel, even though it was a bit loud the night we were there. Price wise it was a little pricey for the scallop appetizer and the size of the lobster, but again, it's a tourist destination so it's to be expected.
Great reviews, and well deserved! We finally got there last night. Upscale/casual is a good description. Friendly, low key and unpretentious, including a warm welcome from the owner. And top notch food and bar! I had high expectations, and was pleased! Don't be in a hurry when you go, it is a very casual place. But get your head there, relax! A bit pricey for a casual dinner for two, so we probably wont frequent too often, but still very nice dinner and night out. And thanks again to the owner to the warm reception and the warm and welcoming environment!
