Dropped in for a late lunch when up in Bethel. Terrible pizza.... I could barely eat a slice... Over cheesed, soggy crust...I have not had a worse pizza in years. Service was good and hence the two stars.

I dont know why i keep trying pats pizza year after year.. But yet again i did and to my surprise it was still terrible.. I purchased a Chicken Parm... The chicken patty wasn't even cooked all the way, i could barley stomach half of the sandwich. I am in the Bethel Area every weekend in the winter.. This will be the last time i stop in at Pats...

If you like 5 cans of mushrooms, uncooked, on top of your pizza, then you'll love Pat's in Bethel.

Gluten free beer and pizza dough is a big plus. Food was tasty and I tried my glutard girlfriends pizza and I think it was the best crust we've had at a glutard pizza restaurant. If you have a glutard in your life check this place out

Fast service, nice people, delicious food. I highly recommend stopping here, much better than some of the larger resort joints.

Gluten Free Diners beware! I ordered some pizza to take out this past week on my way up to the mountain. I asked for a gluten free hawaiian and a gluten free buffalo chicken pizza. I was very excited to have some pizza, as I think most GF people are since it's not so easy for us. I went to pick it up and they had even written gluten free on the box with a smiley face. I was happy. Until I got to my hotel room and opened the box. The one that was buffalo chicken had BREADED buffalo chicken. I suppose it could have been GF breaded chicken but I couldn't tell by looking at it and I didn't think to call. Needless to say I didn't have one bite of it and was super bummed. I didn't understand the logic at all of putting breaded chicken on a GF crust. So if you're order from here, just be sure you are REALLY specific.

Summary: best thin crust pizza in the area This place serves up standard pub food in a convenient location decorated with various logging and woodworking tools. Small yet interesting bar. Staff and bartenders are great. The prices are a bit lower than similar places (especially the places nearer to Sunday River) so it draws families and locals. It's also reachable via trails so snow machines parked out front are not uncommon to see in the winter. What makes Pat's stand out is that they have the best thin crust pizza in the Bethel / Sunday River area. I'm a frequent carryout customer - a honey brown ale at the bar while the kitchen works on the pizza. The staff are really nice, I usually get there during slow periods and end up chatting (unusual for me). Takeout people loitering around seems to happen enough that they have a warming spot on top of the ovens for people not quite ready to leave with their takeout orders yet. Have had poor luck with potato skins though - all three order attempts yielded potatoes that were not cooked all the way through. I think they get run through the belt-fed pizza oven and it's either not hot enough or the time is too short to fully cook the skins.

I'll say without hesitation that I'm likely a bit biased in this review as I spent my college years in Maine drinking and eating Pat's Pizza on a fairly regular basis...so it has some degree of sentimentality to it. But even as a "real grownup"...the pizza is just the best around. Absolutely delicious...so much so that even after a 3 hour drive from the Boston area to Bethel, I'll stop here and pick up a couple of pies before heading to the condos up at Sunday River to lay my head down...after scarfing down a couple of pieces of pizza, of course. If you're in Western Maine and have a pizza craving...Pat's is the way to go!

Pat's is very close to Sunday River and is great for a quick bite. For appetizers, the nachos were topped with FRESH veggies and gooey cheese MMM. The veggie pizza was piled high with veggies but didn't seem to have enough sauce for our liking. The waitress and other servers were very attentive and friendly. Overall a great fairly cheap meal. Will definetly be back when in the area. PS: Automatically included for any party size is an 18% Gratuity.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
