The bay view from the back deck seating is one of a kind. Great place for seafood although the service was pretty slow.

One waitress wore a tshirt that said something like, warm beer, poor service, bad food but great view. We didn't try the beer but all else was pretty spot on. Maybe when I saw a patron leaving the restaurant who had no teeth that should have been a clue to turn around and walk out! Our hostess actually was an anomaly--friendly and accommodating. She wanted us to know that if we chose outside seating and it rained, she couldn't promise we could sit inside. Luckily the sun persisted and we stayed outside. Probably 20+ minutes till our waitress "V" came to take our drink orders and then later lunch. Overall at least 50 minutes from sit down to lunch. Lobster rolls were rated as average/poor, medium burger was well done and missing one ingredient. Stew and salad were served 40 minutes apart. We left cash as we didn't want to wait for the roundtrip credit card experience. All of us were wishing we had chosen the lobster pound just outside of downtown! There also appeared to be several other great spots downtown. Try them!

Where do I start, when we walked in I asked if there was a gluten free menu, the hostess stated all waitresses know about the gluten free options. We sat out on the deck looking at the Ocean is quite beautiful. When the waitress delivered the menu she told me that they did have gluten free buns from Panera Bread, which is amazing because I didn't know they made make those. I asked for a hard cider, what she brought me the beer I thought it looked a bit funny when I took a sip I knew it was not hard cider. So thank you I'm going to be sick for a week I don't blame the waitress I blame the bartender. The waitress was really nice the food was okay and the view was great, I will not go there again.

RANCID FOOD! We had enjoyed fresh, plump mussels at nautilus ( fabulous place using locally sourced ingredients) earlier r in the week so I decided to order them at dockside. The mussels stank when the waitress deposited them and tasted beyond fishy. I won't go into all the details, but the waitress was unbelievably rude . We were a party of one AA woman and 3 white women. The waitress dropped the creamers on the floor & then handed them to the AA patron and refused to change her side order from the vegetable to a side salad. REALLY? When I handed the plate of mussels back I told the waitress how sick that food could make someone- especially someone with a compromised immune system. She really didn't care and told us that the "chef" had said that the mussels were fresh as they had come in on Saturday . We were being served them Tuesday nite. Never again.

I was seated in the outdoor deck area during the Sunday breakfast service and then promptly ignored for twenty minutes before deciding to leave. During that time, three waitresses passed by without acknowledging my table, a couple that was seated fifteen minutes after my party was served their drinks almost immediately after being seated. I informed a staff person who offered to take my order to the kitchen right away, but at that point my husband and I decided to cut our losses and find another meal option in the area.

This spot was recommended to us from the local book shop owner & we are so glad we listened to his recommendation! We ate on the deck & could not have asked for a nicer server. Lobster stew, lobster Alfredo, & crab Quesadillas are delicious. View was nice but obstructed.

Always our first stop in Belfast. They have breakfast too. Deck seating, full bar, and standard Maine menu keep me coming back. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy the view from the deck.

Lobster rolls were good but had lettuce and didn't have enough lobster. Blackened haddock sandwich was excellent. Lobster stew had too much nutmeg. Service was good and the patio overlooking the harbor is really nice.

This place is very good but not the best it can be. I really like the decorations more than the food. I have been to the dockside a few times with my grandfather and the food depends on the day. Sometimes the food is good sometimes not. With the dockside it's a 50/50 chance of getting something good or bad. The burgers are okay but I like the fact that they have out door seating. There is the perfect view of the harbor from any where you sit. This place has a really good fish sandwitch. But if you are In belfast this would not be my first option to give you. But it is good for a group dining experience.

Fantastic lobster roll and clam chowder. Friendly service - we liked the vibe of this place, it's a good local hangout. Makes me wish my husband and I were locals!

I've been there the last couple of times and I haven't been impressed. The waitress served us water and never came back. After twenty minutes some new waitress came to the table. The potato skins used to be good and crispy, but these were not cooked looking. The cheese wasn't melted. The beef tips were tough and the Mac and cheese had no flavor. Too bad.

Last Sunday as his last seafood meal before going back to Colorado, we took our adult son here. What a disapointment. Things went wrong right from the start. Wait staff acted like they had just opened for the season, not at all professional. They left us waiting with the excuse that the waitress assigned had not been told. Even then, after leaving menus took another long period for her to return. It was not that busy. We ordered the mussels as an ap, waitress never put them in. For the prices, we expected an appropriate meal, way out of whack with what we got. My Burbon Steak tips were tough, my son's fisherman's platter was no were near enough food at $23. I tried to e-mail the owner, no response. Things are very bad when I feel the need to inform management. I would be happy to respond.

Went a week ago and have some good and some bad. 1st the bad. Wait staff was luke warm at best, our waitress give the vibe we were bugging her and we got there at 5:15pm now for the good. Mussel for an ap were awesome! and only $7. The house dressing creamy dill is to dead for!!! salad was awesome because of the dressing. will think about getting salad to go in future for work.

Great views ... Food was good and not too pricey. The staff however was unfriendly and in the hostess's case downright rude.

Omg! We were out sightseeing all day and we're just pooped. I had been looking for days for a full lobster meal at every restaurant that we had been to for the last 6 days. Every restaurant that we went to had pieces of lobster...not a full lobster so I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to order a full lobster dinner that came with a salad and choice of side. I chose a baked potato which for some reason had a super delicious flavor. I don't know if it was the fixins on it or what but it was delicious. But the main attraction was the lobster that was sweet and succulent dripping with butter. It was something that I had been longing for for days! The wait was finally over! I was not only impressed with the food but the casual dining had a view of the water from where we were sitting and it was such a spectacular day that this was just the icing in the cake. The manager of the restaurant was super sweet but our waitress was even sweeter. Thank you for making our amazing day even better!

We ate here 2 nights. I had the "Lazy Man's Lobster" both nights and my husband got the twin lobsters. The first night we had a very friendly waitress and delicious fresh warm rolls were place on the table right away. The food was very tasty and brought us back again. The second night the waitress was pleasant enough but looked very tired and did not bring those good rolls...overall not quite as helpful as the first one. We also heard the table behind us complaining that they had not even seen their waitress for 20 minutes and would like some service. Perhaps it was an "off" night for them? I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. The food was good and was very pleasant sitting on the deck. A family restaurant.

Took my buddy here for his first lobster roll and it was terrible. Not the worst, but not very good; small, lifeless, origin and time plucked from the nearby ocean difficult to determine, and the waitstaff, while friendly, didn't get the order right (no mayo!). I hate being negative about nice people but stay away Yelpers! Go back south on 1 and hit Red's Eats and have the best roll evah!

We had crab rolls and lobster rolls and side orders of sweet potato fries, french fries and cole slaw. The crab rolls and lobster rolls were made in the the traditional Maine style: served on fried hotdog buns with just a touch of mayo and some lettuce. They were fresh and very good, although they could have had a bit more meat in them. The sweet potato fries were delicious - tasty and crispy. The cole slaw was the best I've ever had - very fresh and crunchy. It was lightly dressed with mayo and had a delicate sweet flavor that we could not define (and we are pretty good at figuring out ingredients in my family). I asked them for the recipe, but no luck.

This place is not fancy, but it has adorable charm because of the friendly and warm staff. As a visitor I felt completely welcome and happy to dine in such a great atmosphere. The chowder was in a word - YUMMY!! It was the perfect consistency and blend of seasonings. The lobster roll was delicious and just enough to keep me full. This is a traditional down home seafood joint that is great for lunch or a casual dinner. I just adored the staff and they made dining alone totally enjoyable!
