Came here on a Wednesday, when they have a $9.99 special of an 11 oz sirloin with two sides. The atmosphere is warm with country music, sports on tvs by the bar, and the staff occasionally line dancing. Service was attentive and patient. I got a Dallas Ribeye which was delicious, but it came with a good amount of seasoning on top, so if you're a steak purist you might want to tell them to go light on seasoning. The other thing is that the waitress asked us if we wanted extras without implying that they cost extra--trying to help her sales, I guess, but I was a little confused. I had an original margarita with a "kicker," that is a floating test tube holding tequila and triple sec...yum. It was a fun place, especially compared with Longhorn Steakhouse, where the mood is kind of...somber? Also, it was super crowded for a Wednesday. Definitely my pick for steak in Bangor. They could improve by widening their cocktail and dessert menus. Also they should include drink prices on their drink menu...annoying.

This was the first time I have ever gotten into a Texas Roadhouse on a Friday night without having to wait or call ahead. The service was extremely prompt and super accommodating. Our server was super friendly and even gave us directions to an area we were going to after dinner. Our food was cooked a little more than we asked (the reason for 4 stars versus 5) but otherwise this was one of the best Texas Roadhouse experiences we have ever had.

Solid food, great service, decent prices, what's not to love? Went there during the last snowstorm and had a Great Meal and a really good and attentive waiter.

OMG!!! What a treat this restaurant was! The staff was a hoot and the food was wanna-come-back-tomorrow great! This was my first visit to a Texas Roadhouse, but it will not be the last. I ordered the a rib-eye and a salad, and the rolls were waaaay to good.

Do not order the Roadkill. Very bland. Heard the steaks are good. Service is great. Very inexpensive.

It's not one of your premier steakhouses as fine dining goes like Ruth's Chris' or Arnie Morton's, but for the price you pay and the atmosphere, Texas Roadhouse hands down rocks! I know this is a chain and I've always wanted to check this place out after seeing it on Food Network or Travel or one of those channels. I was in Bangor, Maine of all places and found this while trying to urban spoon what's around to eat. Once urban spoon chose this, I was like "Oh yyyeeeeaaahhh!" to my buddy who knows what's up. And you know what, Texas Roadhouse did not disappoint. I got the ribeye, ribs, and baked beans on the side and mmm mmm mmm. All that for like $14 I think. I mean Outback and Black Angus cost way more and you just stomach the food. AND OH MY their HOUSE BRREEEEAAAADDDDD!!!! And APPLE BUTTER!!! We've all had apple butter, but wow, considering this place is a chain in the randomest parts of the USA, their bread and apple butter combo is killer. Yum Yum Yum. And I'm not huge on bread or carbs. Dear Texas Roadhouse: Please open one up in Los Angeles, CA. Your fan, Dan

I don't usually give a five to chain restaurants, but this place deserves them. Situated in the entirely unprepossessing Bangor Mall, there is a warmth when you walk in that says "welcome." It's all very "southern", but not tacky. There's a goodly sized three-sided bar, booths, tables of various sizes and a high roof to give the illusion of space. It's a barn! We were quickly seated, not far from the bar and our waitress was in attendance shortly thereafter. We ordered Margaritas and having confirmed that this was our first visit, were presented with a sample tray of the restaurant's sides and a goodly chunk of bread cooked on the premises. If we'd been bad people, we could have paid for the drinks, eaten the freebies and walked. But we stuck in there and had a burger and a half rack of ribs. Both well presented, tasty and filling. Service was bang on, for this sort of place. Attended to quickly, drinks in. Food order taken as the booze arrived. Food within 10 minutes. Checked on as we were about a quarter of the way in. Bill presented promptly (we were he heading to the cinema) and dealt with in a timely fashion. All in all, precisely what we wanted, for a good price and with delightful service.

The wait staff is always pleasant, when I've been there. The steak is absolutely spectacular. The only downfall is the noise, but I've learned to blot that out. After all it's family friendly. The beer is ICE COLD. I don't drink much anymore, but a chilled beer is a must when here.
