I simply love their chicken wings! Weird enough, it might be one of the best that I have in the Bangor area. I usually order a dozen to go and they will always make it fresh for me. Good price and decent food overall. Just wish the lighting in that place is not so dim all the time.

Went here last week... The lady behind the counter was so nice and even though my order was specific and lengthy, everything was right... And the place was clean :)

Red One Lounge

Reviews:
This place is deceptively legit. By deceptive, I mean I was weary about going in, worried I wouldn't jive with the clientele (unsure what it was). I was surprised to learn it attracts mostly young professionals, indicative of its ownership. By legit, I mean the listed cocktails are delicious and the head bartender (Kyle) knows how to shake things up. You will be pleasantly surprised by the welcoming spirit of the place. Great deals, good music, and entertaining company for those hanging out. 4.5 stars gets the bump to 5 for being relatively new and still working through consistency. In any case, it's a great local business to support.

Back in Dallas, I hated Domino's because their pizza was crappy, but here in Bangor, Domino's pizza is the best! Compared to PizzaHut, because that's the only place i used to order in Dallas, PizzaHut in Bangor sucks so much! I love Domino's and especially their Mediterranean sandwich and Chicken Alfred pasta!

Papa Gambino’s Pizzas Subs

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! After being a vegetarian for awhile, one of the first meat things I craved was the Godfather sub and the chicken salad sub. yummy. The pizza is also really really good. I love the plain cheese and pepperoni. The Godfather has so much Italian goodness in it and the chicken salad sub (with lettuce, pickles, and cheese) actually tastes like chicken and the subs are HUGE. If you order a large you can eat for 3 meals!! Great value, great price, great food, great service. They are always super nice when I go in there or call to order. They really should get some tables to sit in the middle and eat but right now it is take out only. I wish on weekends they were open late night. Would be great to come home from the bar all drunk and order a pizza from them instead of Domino's lol.
Got a large cheese pizza. Very good crust and sauce. Quick service. Really flavorful. Would definitely go back.
Stopped in due to great Yelp reviews after being in the car with two restless boys driving home from Canada. Food was great; fresh baked rolls were good, pizza was perfect with sort of sweet sauce and eggplant parm sub was delicious. Got a friendly welcome from counter staff and a solid recommendation as to where to eat the goods after...cascade park hit the spot as did the food!

Gosselin’s Bakery

BEST doughnuts in Bangor. Glazed "Raised Glazed" and Molasses Glazed are spot on and the best in Bangor.
Gosselin's is a great place just outside of downtown Bangor to pick up a mouth-wateringly delicious blueberry turnover or strawberry filled doughnut. All of the items around roughly around a dollar, which is a steal for the size of the goods you are going to walk out with. They also have a Keurig with several selections if you're the type that can't enjoy a doughnut without a hot coffee! Seriously though, get the strawberry filled doughnut with powdered sugar on top.
Great donuts! This place in my opinion has the best donuts in that they actually taste homemade and are bigger in size then what you get from dunkin donuts. They may not have the biggest selection, but they sure have reasonably priced good eats

Hogan Road Deli

Reviews:
My first ever yelp review...had to share the incredible customer service experience I had at Hogan Road Deli. I've heard rave reviews from countless people around Bangor about the extensive craft beer selection at this store. I live out of state, but my brother frequents this store every week, so I called to request a special order for a 'mix and match' 6 pack and some other specialty beers. A friendly and helpful Deadra put me in touch with Rick, the craft beer manager, who was extremely knowledgable and accommodating. He helped me put together a great mix of beers for my brother, the beer aficionado, who was beyond thrilled with his surprise gift! Thanks Hogan Road Deli for helping a sister out!
The best selection of specialty beers I've ever seen! Definitely not what I expected at a little gas station. Food was delicious and both fresh made and pre-prepped. A great stop off the highway.
Good deli sandwiches, and a great takeout breakfast. The takeout breakfast is a great price and nice portion. They also have an extensive beer selection.

The Fiddlehead Restaurant

84 Hammond St
Bangor, 04401
Reviews:
As part of our typical trek back home, the wife and I always stop in Bangor and we finally made it to Fiddlehead this go around. She called and made a reservation as we were driving to Bangor and we lucked out as it is a smallish restaurant. Bangor's finest firefighters were responding to an alarm in the courtyard where the usual entrance is, so they let us in a different door, straight off the street. Either way, we made our reservation time. We quickly got some waters and the owner of the place came over and talked to us about the menu and the restaurant before our server came to take our drink orders. The beer menu had several local options which was nice, but their claim to fame is their cocktail menu. The wife had a couple of those, the petal pusher and the c'est rah. She really enjoyed the petal pusher, which had a grapefruit flavor to it. On to the food options, the wife really wanted the papusas and our server recommended them, so that was easy. She also took the chèvre appetizer which was her highlight of the night. As appetizer, I went light with the smoke scallop salad, but then I was torn on the main. Our server's other recommendation was the lobster grilled cheese, but the pork belly was calling my name. Ultimately, I told her to decide between the 2 and surprise me. I was pretty confident that I was getting a good dish either way based on the descriptions. In the end, the pork belly, or should I say a huge piece of pork belly came out. The pork belly was awesome and cooked to perfection. I did see the lobster grilled cheese at another table and I can assure you that it looked great too. For dessert, we chose the homemade ice cream (vanilla and cherry) and sorbet (passion fruit/kiwi). Both choices were just the right amount. The sorbet was awesomely tart, I guess from the kiwi, good stuff. The wife almost got the chèvre appetizer again for dessert, so as I said earlier it was definitely her highlight. From start to finish, drinks, service and food were on point this evening. We would definitely return, especially since the menu changes seasonally and frequently.
I lived in Bangor for 10 years, and during that time I was a regular at The Fiddlehead. It's hard to say anything negative about the place. The staff are engaged/interested/invested/informed, and it shows in their work. Everyone takes pride in everything. Drinks are fantastic, and the food is seasonal, and executed perfectly.
If your in bangor you need to experience this place. The fiddlehead would easily be one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn or boston so I was more than willing to go there twice on my last work trip to bangor. The staff was really amazing they went out of there way to accommodate one of our party members with a food allergy and the meals were hands down incredible. I had the lamb and the burger (which was probably the best burger I've ever had, I've been contemplating this for a few weeks now and I really can't put anything above it... I'll compare it to the brindle room in Lower east side as the 2 best in the north east). One person at out table said the salmon was the best he ever had. Well in his own words "all other salmon I've ever had has been a lie"

large iced mocha and a cheddar cheese bagel for under 3 bucks. I couldn't locate a starbucks so settled for Tim Hortons which resulted with me having 3 extra dollars to spend on gas instead. Had a regular ice coffee on another day, tasted okay enough. I thought the service was friendly and much better than dunkin donuts treated i'm used to.
Tim Hortons is solid. I'm a WNYer so there on every street corner by me. Decent place for coffee, however I still prefer pastries and donuts from local bakeries over chain donuts, that's my choice however. To sum it up, good place for coffee and ill just stick with that.
Awesome spot for great coffee, good food and excellent service. Prices are reasonable.
