Stopped overnight in Bangor and took advantage of carry out. Quick polite service, amazing $ value! Hot and sour soup the bomb, crab Rangoon the best I have ever had, the boneless ribs not over sauced and super tender. The beef broccoli and onions were tasty. The broccoli was not overdone and the beef was tender. This place saved my tummy!

I have eaten here twice in the past month (take out). The food was more than okay but not top notch. Service was fast and the pricing was very reasonable. Oddly what surprised me the most about this place was how delicious the pork fried rice is. Menu is a bit hard to find on the internet.

Looking for quick delivery before an evening event, my group and I found an ad for the Asian Palace II in the motel's pamphlet on local happenings. Discovering that our options were pretty much limited to Chinese and Pizza, we went with the first. This place is your standard chinese take-out joint... Appetizers, soups, fried rice, lo mein, chop suey, chow mein, beef/pork/chicken/seafood/vegetarian plates, house specials, combination platters, and lunch specials are plentiful. Without a menu, the group and I decided on a couple standard plates and called the restaurant blindly. We ordered a Pu Pu Platter for 2, pork fried rice, as well as Beef Lo Mein (w/o vegetables). The employee taking our order, instructed us on our best options as the Pu Pu Platter already came with fried rice. This was greatly appreciated due to our lack of literature. Our food arrived within 15-20 minutes at our motel. We received a prompt call to meet the delivery guy. Food cost just under $30... ($18ish for the platter, 9ish for the Beef Lo Mein). The quantity was plentiful for 4 people. In fact, we didn't even eat it all! The meal itself was alright. The fried rice had a bit of a strange taste to it and the lo mein a tad too slimy. The lo mein came with vegetables even though we ordered it without. The rice had no vegetables... unsure if it usually comes like that or if they mixed up the order. In any case, this food did the trick and curbed my hunger through the evening.

After searching for a good Chinese takeout restaurant in the Broadway/Union area of Bangor I finally found this place and it's now my go-to place for takeout. General Tsos is especially delicious!

In Bangor, ME when you look for a sitdown and well run chinese eatery, Green Tea or Ichiban or Yoshi are going to fit the bill much better but this restaurant is a great place to pick up some to go chinese food that is both fresh and well done. I usually partake in the beef and broccoli or even rock out the beef lomein. Has always gotten it home in piping hot and delicious condition. My wife and son always order the sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoon and they love it. It is always fresh and they dont overcook the rangoon and it very well priced. If you cannot think of a good place to buy some delicious chinese take out then you need to give Asian Palace II a try folks.

All of the entrées and appetizers I have had here have been excellent. I do not like the fried rice (it is nearly identical the to rice at Brewer's Noodles restaurant), but everyone else I know thinks it's fine so that is probably just me. I appreciate that they always have crispy noodles available. I wish the menu had more mid-sized options for food. The regular menu has items that are mostly over $10, but they come with a LOT of food. Then there are the lunch specials which are great for one person. I would like to see a section that offers larger lunch specials that are smaller than the regular menu items.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
