Sweet Frog opened up in Towson not too long ago and it's become my new go-to spot for a cheap, wonderful treat. Until now, I haven't really hopped (oh god, terrible pun!) onto the frozen yogurt bandwagon. The few times I tried it, the tart, dryish flavor of froyo didn't do it for me. Sweet Frog is a different sort of place - its products taste sweet, light and VERY pleasant. I had trouble believing it wasn't full fat ice cream. The shop offers 12 flavors at a time, set up in 6 groups of well-matched pairs so you can choose individual ones or you can pull the center lever for a swirl. I've seen flavors like strawberry, cake batter, banana, dulce de leche (mmmm, so caramelly!), cappuccino, etc. and they offer you teeny tasting cups so you can find your favorite. Once you fill your cup, you go to the toppings counter and scoop (or drizzle or pour or sprinkle!) goodies into your cup until you're satisfied. You set the cup on a scale and they total up your price. One of my favorite aspects of this shop is the ability to control portions. As much as I love Coldstone and other similar ice cream shops, even their tiniest cups end up containing VAST amounts of ice cream. Who can eat all of that in one go? I always end up either dumping out half of my order, eating myself sick, or sticking my leftovers in the freezer at home, where it congeals into a weird lump that I throw away a week later. But with Sweet Frog's self-serve pay-by-the-ounce setup, I can control the pulleys and take just the amount I want. Even going as wild as I want mixing flavors and toppings, I've never paid more than $3.00 for my snack. The shop itself has a cute, fun decor and is a pleasant place to sit and relax. It's right on the corner of the Towson Farmer's Market location, so on Thursdays during the summer, a trip to Sweet Frog bookends a visit to the market very well. ' Also, I feel like their job interviews must include questions like "Do you legitimately love froyo?" and "Are you the most adorable person on the planet?", because whenever I go in there, the staff members are SUPER friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable about the product. I'm very much looking forward to filling up my shiny new punch card and earning a free small or medium cup. ^_^

Self serve frozen yogurt is fabulous and sweet frog does not disappoint with a great selection of flavors and toppings (although they don't have sliced almonds which I do miss). Their fruit yogurt flavors are especially flavorful/tasty. They have a nice selection of sauce toppings at the end by the register which includes the usual fudge and strawberry sauce but also some more interesting ones like nutella and kiwi sauces. The store is always very clean, including the bathrooms. Also they are a few cents cheaper per ounce than tcby and tutti frutti. I would definitely recommend sweet frog for anyone in the Towson area looking for a quick and easy dessert.

I like the place but I wish there was a larger variety of frozen yogurt flavors.

I am originally from Baltimore and have been to a few different Sweetfrogs in the area. This one however is probably my favorite. The area is a little hard to navigate and parking is a pain in the button if you're not willing to pay to park. The owner of this location is very friendly and very helpful towards customers. The place is always clean and someone, whether it be the owner or an employee, is always tidying up tables and the topping area. It's a nice place

Sweetfrog is an affordable, fast, and potentially healthy dessert option for everyone who likes cold treats. I've been to this location a handful of times and here are my thoughts. What I Like: - Plenty of flavors, typically 8-10! I've never seen them run out of any flavors either. - Toppings galore, which is the standard for these types of joints. - Plenty of seating. The place gets packed, but there is indoor and outdoor seating aplenty. - Cleanliness. The place is always in decent shape. What I Don't Like: - Parking, like every place in this part of Towson, is difficult and can sometimes cost you a dollar depending on the time of day. - Just yogurt. I know, but... They get 4 stars because they do it well, the place is safe and clean, and the price is good. For 5 stars they would have to branch out and sell a greater variety of desserts (cakes, maybe coffee, etc.) and develop a frequent buyers club to reward their better customers.

Kind of pricey here. When I came it was really hot and smelled like chlorine for some odd reason. The girl who rung me up was more concerned about sending her text message then attending to me

Went in yesterday for some fro-yo to find that they only had 4 flavors. The staff is wonderful and when they're fully stocked it's great! I was just extremely disappointed that they only had 2 machines working on a Sunday afternoon.

Unclean and unattended to would best describe this sad little place. Assuming you can find a place to park, you'll be greeted with sticky floors and dirty table tops. When we stopped in, only 5 varieties of yogurt were available. The toppings were likewise scarce, with only one fruit - blueberries - on offer. Frozen yogurt places are plentiful around here. I doubt that this franchise will be able to compete with the Tutti Frutti and Yogoyo right down the street. Both are clean and offer plentiful varieties of both yogurt and toppings.

This is a standard self service frozen yogurt shop. They had more flavors than many places (8 when I was there including some interesting ones like raspberry-pomegranate and caramel) and you can sample if you ask. The toppings are pretty standard though sadly without the fresh fruit some places have which is the only topping I bother with. It looked to be a father and daughter working the place and they were polite and efficient if not actively friendly. The floor and counters were spotless. The space is bright with plentiful seating. It seemed a little cheaper than Tutti Frutti for instance. A-OK.

This place is just ok. It's fine if you need your yogurt fix, but nothing worth seeking out. They probably have machines for 12-14 flavors, but typically have about 8. My gripe is that the last time or two, my yogurt wasn't cold enough and came out too soft. Decent number and variety of toppings from fruit to candy bars to cereal and gummi worms. I think they charge too much for what you get, but Towson area froyo places seem to be tripping over themselves to overcharge for it. On the plus side, the place seems really clean, and the people working there have always been friendly enough. While I don't love the parking situation, I've never had a problem finding a nearby spot.

We are always taught to say something nice...well the location is durable. The yogurt selections are weird not your basics. The toppings are plentiful for the eyes to see. What it lack is friendly customer service. I'm not the reason you applied to work in this position. Yes, it my first time here and I need time to see the items. There are times when you want quick out the door service this was not one I wanted. No I can pass on this location.

This location is relatively new, there used to be a Quiznos here. The location is very good if you live in the Towson area, easy to walk to. It's very much like all frozen yogurt shops these days, Towson has at least one other nearby. It's help yourself, pay by weight and an additional toppings at a help yourself toppings bar with an array of goodies. There are about six or so stations of frozen yogurt each with two Selections ranging from sweet and decadent flavors to more tart and palate refreshing flavors. Most yogurt shops I will go for the original tart favor and get fruit "roe"' as I like to call it on top. Looks like fish roe pearls but tastes of passion fruit or other fruit flavors. I noticed at this location the tart original was sugar free which was disappointing. A small serving cup is large in my eyes was enough to satisfy me. I ended up going for something new and going more sweet and decadent and chose the peanut butter yogurt. I was not disappointed it really had that strong peanut flavor. I went and added crushed peanut butter cups on top to bring out my love of peanut butter even more. The topping itself was plentiful and not just tiny specks you sprinkle on there were whole crushed cups. After all was said and done the girls running the place were very nice to customers. There were seats to sit at although it was a small shop, it was very clean and had bright attractive colors. You can also sit outside if it's warm enough. A small one topping peanut butter is a little under 4.50 not bad in price and it will fill you up, I'm sure of it. The shop is open til 9:30pm s it's great for an out on the town dessert on the weekends Or a hot summer night.

I was intrigued by this cute little fro-yo shop since they have been popping up around town. There are many kinds of soft serve yogurt you can choose from and then a bar full of toppings. There were some young children in front of us and they seemed to enjoy more toppings than yogurt. We tried vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, mango, watermelon, coconut and cake batter. Some were regular fro-yo and some were non-fat. The best was the mango and the chocolate. Everything else tasted a bit chalky and kinda reminded me of non-fat powdered milk. I'm not big on the toppings, but they had a big selection of candy and cookie toppings and some fruit. They also have hot nutella, hot fudge, marshmallow and more. This is the place to go if you want toppings...obviously, I should have followed the kids.

Came here due to a livingsocial. First time we tried, the tart machine was down for maintenance so, we just left. We only like the tart. The next time the tart was up. Although my husband liked the sting tart flavor I thought it was a bit wierd. It was too strong and sour. I also tried the mango which tasted very fake and overpowered. The place was cute like other sweet frogs, but nothing special.

I used to be a froyo snob. Maybe three years ago when I first moved up here and got on the froyo train... I would only go to FroZenYo spots in DC. Emphasis on "only". Sure I would pass all these other frozen yogurt chains around MD...but unless its FroZenYo.. I. wasn't. having. it! And then my snobby self decided to try Sweet Frog... *gasp* I actually went to a Sweet Frog with my older sister for the first time when I was back in my home state of NC. This was back in October. My first taste was a seasonal pumpkin flavor... Oh my lordy that pumpkin flavor was ON POINT! It really caught me by surprise... so lo and behold FrozenYo had to take a seat! lol. So fast forward to now, I have dropped FroZenYo (unless I'm in DC) and SweetFrog is THE SPOT for froyo. The flavors are ALWAYS spot-on and full of flavor... and still fat-free. Sinless deliciousness!!!!!! So this location is Towson really wasn't memorable, compared to another location that I have been to in Catonsville. This Towson location has far less topping options and less flavors... which isn't really a problem... but they didn't have the specific flavors that I prefer! Boooooooo. Oh and they don't have a parking lot either... which I definitely HATE since I'm averse to street parking being from NC. I probably won't ever go back to this location, however it's still a Sweet Frog, and I'm still a fan!

You'd think I'd be tired of froyo by now. Shoppes that sell it by the ounce have been popping up all over town. It's kinda hard to keep them all straight. So far, this one stands out for me. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the froyo tastes like ice cream. The calorie content for each flavor is listed at the top of the machine so you won;t feel too guilty about filling up their largest cup. The toppings are well-organized, clearly labeled, and plentiful. Among the choices are: candy coated sunflower seeds, peppermint patties, white chocolate chips, brownie pieces, cheesecakes pieces, mini marshmallows, Oreo pieces, cookie dough, sour gummies...too many to remember. And, the flavors...oh boy! Thin Mint Cookie is my favorite. But, they had 11 others to choose from. Cake Batter, Mango, Banana, Strawberry, Salty Caramel, Original Tart, and Dulce de Leche are what I can recall. So, far I think they have the largest variety of froyo flavors that I have seen. Added bonus: a frequent buyer card- after 6 punches, your 7th froyo (small or medium) is on the house! I have a feeling that I will be enjoying that benefit very soon. Four punches in two days! Score!
