Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

1 Star is gracious for this dump. Called for pickup around midnight as it was the only place open, got there at 12:30, find my order is still waiting. I sit there, wait another 15 minutes, still waiting. The place is filthy, everything is dirty, bugs everywhere. The entire time, some fat cook sat behind the counter swearing and doing shots with friends. Finally, at 1:20, my order is finished and the fat cook swears at me after I pick up the order. The pizza tastes frozen and is way too greasy. To top off this wonderful experience, the next day half my apartment comes down with food poisoning. You could not pay me to enter that pit again. I made a Yelp account solely to warn people against this nightmare. If you are starving on the side of the road and Pizans is your only option, just close your eyes and embrace death. Life isn't worth the misery of walking through those doors.

Ordered Pizza delivery from here late one Sunday night when I was lazy. Pizza was good enough and the order taker was friendly unlike earlier posts. I asked the store for any specials and they were gracious enough to oblige. Delivery was fast and the pizza was plenty good. They do deliver beer & wine but you're looking at a 40% mark-up on normal retail prices.

Why did Pizans receive one star? 1) Yelp wouldn't allow me to rate no stars, and 2) Two friends and I wanted to enjoy a few slices of pizza last night over some beers. I call in and ask for a medium- she says they have no mediums. Small? "Oh yes it's enough for three people, MJB" and "that will be 10 minutes, MJB." Perfect. Chug my first beer, walk the block to the pizza place, and go inside. It's completely empty .. I see someone pulling this baby pizza out of the oven - "yes, that's a small." It's a 5 inch PERSONAL pizza. I ask to buy a large at the counter, tell me it'll be $11 or something, then they ask for my name and I reply with "MJB." The woman behind the counter rudely informs me I had ordered a small. I told her I was aware, but politely informed her she had suggested a small to feed three people, so I told her I'd just like a large. She tells me I first have to buy the small before she will allow them to make a large. I asked her if she would like my money and business, and she informed me "I don't give a f*** about your money." The pizza is crap, anyway, but it was 11pm and the other places were closed, and we were hungry! Tl;dr: Small Pizza = a pizza for ants; Pizans doesn't want your money

Came down from NYC to visit some Towson friends for a long weekend... Well, this is great drunk food.

  • Cory S.

Some of the best in Towson, on their good nights. The problem is consistency. One night it's outstanding (5 star), the next night it's just ok (3 star). It's never terrible

Pizan's is a family run Pizza and Cheesesteak shop catering mostly to students of the nearby Towson University. Pizan's is open till at least 2AM on most nights and serves up a wide variety of American classics. They offer delivery within the area and will deliver beer and liquor (at highly inflated prices) as well. The food is good and greasy, about what you'd expect. The staff are generally pretty coarse and are not to be tried. The two middle-aged men that work the grill and ovens are the owners and have little tolerance for ineptitude from customers. Buyer beware: while the accept credit cards, they will assess you a convenience charge, which is against the terms of Visa and MasterCard, so it's best to bring cash. Speaking of cash, as mentioned earlier, the prices on the liquor are often $5 more than you'd pay at a liquor store, however since they deliver and are open later than liquor stores, they can justify this. Note that alcohol cannot be delivered on Towson's campus due to issues with the university's policies.

I just want to say, the food was amazing, but the customer service was even better. Johnny is a great guy with a kind heart ensuring all of his customers come back and if there is one thing I can say. I will be back. Overall, the experience is an unforgettable one and they have gained themselves a lifelong fan.

We ordered a greek salad and buffalo chicken sub. The greek salad was decent- I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with it, but it didn't stand out either. The best thing it had going was a generous helping of feta cheese. The buffalo chicken sub was terrible, I couldn't even stomach it. The chicken was minced and the sauce wasn't so much buffalo sauce as it was ketchup + mayo + and a little bit of hot sauce. It didn't have any heat or tang of a traditional buffalo sauce. Word of advice Pizans: buy a bottle of buffalo sauce from the store rather than serve that awful concoction.

  • Claire L.

RIDICULOUSLY expensive just because they know drunk students will pay for it. Johnny is wonderful and it's fun to draw on the walls, but I would never seriously come here for food.

A good choice when you're in college and craving greasy pizza at 2 am. However, disappointing when it takes almost an hour and a half to be delivered.

Avoid this place at all costs! There are too many choices for a good pie (even mediocre pie) in the area to waste your time and money on this place. This place seems to be only good if it's 2AM and your drunk and even then it's not worth it. We came here on Saturday after partying in Towson for Halloween. The place was packed with Towson U students but they're not the problem, the staff is. They are extremely rude and like the other review said, if you don't order like they're the soup (or pizza) nazis they cop a serious attitude, like you should be grateful they allow you to eat their diarrhea/vomit inducing pizza. Oh, unless you're a cute girl then the big jerk behind the counter is all smiles and loves to help. Somebody should tell him he's suppose to be working and not creeping on girls half his age and a quarter his size. It was late, we were tired and we were hungry so we got a large meat lovers (pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, etc) pie. We were sobering up and at that point didn't care how rude they were. We did care later when the 3 of us who actually ate the pie got sick as dogs. It was coming out of both ends!!!! The 4th in our group is a vegetarian and didn't eat the pizza. Yeah we had been drinking and yeah we had sushi earlier but we all shared the sushi so it wasn't that and we didn't get wasted when we went out either, it was the pizza! I called and wanted to let them know that maybe they had a bad batch of ground beef. I didn't want money, I just didn't want anyone else to get sick. I was essentially told, "your problem, not ours, and to f off"...maybe if I was a cute girl I would've gotten a better response. Take what you want from this but eat at your own risk, or better yet go to Pizza Palace or Papa Johns, they're less than a block away, the guys are always friendly and I've never gotten sick from their food.

I ordered late night b/c it was the only place open, the phone people are SO RUDE, had me on hold forever the only reason they are in business is they are next to TSU, b/c the food was SO greasy and the fries had been cooked in old grease b/c they were dark and taste like oil! I would never given this place my $ again- I would rather starve at 1am!! I gave the fries to my dog and he wouldnt eat them either!!

I was on the edge of possibly giving them 2 stars but then remembered how bad my food poisoning experience was with them... I am an undergraduate college student that isn't from the Towson area but decided to get a sub from them late at night because they were open. The sub tasted OKAY but the next day I was sick, weak, and was forced to use the bathroom a lot due to eating from that restaurant. I've only had good poisoning one other time and it was a very similar experience. I just feel it's important that anyone reading these reviews should know. I should have realized that going there was a bad idea before I even walked in the door. If you think about it, if a manager and his/her employees can't keep the restaurant clean, what would make me think that they can keep the food and cooking devices clean?! Being 2am when I went, I didn't think twice about it because I've been in some dirty places but not to pizzans extent. Considering that their sub was the last thing I ate before bed and I didn't have anything else to eat 5hrs before them or after, I concluded that they got me sick. Do better

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
