This place made me want to write a review and that never happens. Falafel house is exactly what baltimore needs and is lacking: good middle eastern food. The only complaint that I have is that it's not in the city so I can't eat here weekly. We had the lamb shawarma wrap and the humus. The portions were really large and I took half of my sandwich home. The lamb was really well seasoned and tender and the toppings were all fresh and looked amazing. The humus was fantastic and tasted so fresh. They even gave us extra pita bread without having to ask. The owner was super friendly and offered some baklava on the house for us to try which was really good. He said that he makes his own baklava and it was fantastic. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try the chicken shawarma and falafel.

Menu is simple, clean and straight to the point. Not many options, but when the place is called "Falafel House", you have an idea of what you're going in there for. The Falafel Wrap is delicious. Fresh vegetables, well-seasoned and cooked falafel, accompanied with a succulent tzatziki sauce. For $8, it is a large wrap. Each half of the wrap is practically a meal in itself. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the staff are a bit relaxed in their processes, and it took maybe 10 minutes for my particular wrap to be made. That's not a bother to me. However, if you're the impatient, uptight type of personality, calm down and go here anyway if you're hungry for some delicious falafel. Obviously very vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Some other traditional Mediterranean appetizers are offered, and there are some meat dishes available as well for the omnivore in you. Will be revisiting again soon, for sure.

Go try. Just do it. I could tell you how I stumbled upon this place for lunch and that it instantly became my new favorite lunch destination in Towson. Or I could tell you how fresh and delicious the food was. Or how heapingly huge the pita portions were. But you should enjoy finding this out on your own. It's new, fairly priced, and a much needed addition to the Baltimore foodie scene. Falafel Houuusseeee!

Falafel and shawarma is reasonable but not that delicious, but I may give it another chance

This place is great the falafel is awesome as well as the hummus and eggplant dip. The service can be a little slow so plan on waiting. It is worth it if you have time though.

Tried this place last night and really enjoyed it. The people working the counter were all super friendly and my food was served really quickly. For about $10 I got a glorious platter of lamb and chicken over rice, 2 pitas, a side cucumber/tomato salad, and some hummus with a sprinkling of oil. My initial thought was that I'd have two meals here. Shortly after beginning to eat, I realized that it was all delicious and there would be no leftovers. Everything was very good, and the harissa hot sauce (can be requested) really added a big flavorful kick to everything. I'd high reccomend this place and hope to try it again soon to explore the rest of the menu.

I love this place. Every single plate I've ordered is amazing. You can customize things. The owners are really sweet they already know me and my dad by name. Definitely order the rice with the garlic-yogurt sauce. They have some interesting sodas I haven't seen before. They give plenty of pita. And the food is fresh!

Just had a family dinner here, five of us tonight, Must say, best ever Shwama, lamb, with salad, hummus and babaganush. Coincidentally, as I was writing this, the owner came to our table and gave us complimentary baklava. Awesome. $56.00. Truly delicious. Nice people in restaurant as well. Good find on my part! :)

Good, moderately priced, middle eastern, street food is a precious commodity. It takes eating at a lot of these types of places to adequately rate them. Having been brought up in the metro Detroit area of Michigan, where there are more middle eastern, Lebanese, Arabic, Armenians than in other countries, you kind of get to know the territory. We tried the basics--dolmas, lamb shawarma and falfel sandwiches. The grape leaves came with a lemon wedge and were nicely packed with seasoned rice. The falafel was nicely flavored, moist and served with cabbage and pickle on pita. The shawarma was generously packed with a pickle and tahini sauce, but a tad bit too much gristle to make it 5-star sandwich. We chatted with the owner who said he was from New York and found Towson "funny". I told him I too found Towson "funny", but I'm sure we were talking about two vastly different things.....why he came from New York to Towson is a mystery I didn't explore. Obviously proud of his business, we gave him the thumbs up for putting pickles on the sandwiches. It took them a little while to get our order together on a Sunday afternoon to a restaurant with no more than 2 others waiting. So we watched the talking heads of CNN.... I'll try them again--I've high hopes!

I had a falafel wrap and it was SO. GOOD. It was nice and spicy with jalapeños in it! Plus they gave me extra spicy sauce on the side. I randomly decided to eat here and I'm glad I did. Generous portions as well!

Really delicious falafel! Very close to the falafel, I ate in Paris! It is not too expensive, customer service is awesome. Love this place!

I've perpetually been on a hunt for good Mediterranean food ever since I went to Israel more than 4 years ago, so when I found out about this local spot I was dying to try it. I recently drove with my husband and friend 8+ hours to Michigan for schwarma and falafel haha. The fact that she was moving stuff out of her old apartment was just a excuse to make the trek. The interior is open and clean with plenty of natural lighting and the service is friendly. We ordered the hummus with pita which came with a small plates of pickles and everything was really fresh and good. The texture of the pita bread was like the one I had in Israel and brought back a lot of memories. The falafel wrap and schwarma were both good yet not on the level that makes me crave wanting to come back every week. The falafel was made well, but it was really the sauce that was a little lackluster. There just wasn't enough of the flavor coming through which made it difficult to finish the whole wrap without the handy side of hot sauce that they give you. I'm used to falafel and schwarma having a rich flavor that's slap you in the face good. Not bad though, so I will definitely come back at some point to try their other options!

I spent considerable time in the Middle East and it has been so difficult finding a good falafel/schwarrma spot stateside. This place is damn close! From the well-spiced spit of lamb dripping with flavor to the smooth authentic hummus, everything is fresh and tasty. Unlike the typical dry, brown, flavorless balls which are falsely peddled as falafel, here they were crispy on the outside while moist and flavorful on the inside and visibly green from the fresh herbs. The addition of sumac as garnish to the sides and fries added a nice touch of authenticity and another subtle level of flavor. Decor was warm, service was friendly, and prices reasonable. Very glad to see a true falafel house in the area and hope they are in business for a long time!

Finally, I'm able to try this place. I was so disappointed after driving across town on a Sunday for falafel and found the place was closed at 10:30 pm. The hours on yelp must be incorrect or the employer was working on his own schedule. Anywho, I love some good falafel but haven't found any of the scrumptious patty balls since moving to Baltimore..... until I ended up at the Falafel House. I ordered the wrap and it was prepared with fresh falafel, hummus, cucumber/tomato salad, pickles, cabbage and drizzle with a vegan tahini dressing. It was so freakin delicious and filling. I wish this place was closer to me but sorta glad it's not or I might find myself as a frequent customer. It was empty when I arrived on a Saturday evening which is ok too because I'm ok with keeping the goodness all to myself.... or not because I'm posting a review on yelp. Enjoy!!!!!

Lamb a little stringy, falafel spot on! Cook/cashier/busboy understandably overwhelmed. Really hope this business thrives!

When I first saw signs for a falafel place in Towson I was excited. The food there is quite tasty, and I'll be going back. However, the service level leaves a few things to be improved upon... The good part about Falafel House is the food. They have excellent tasting food. The falafel is soft and warm. The sage tea (with spices from Jerusalem) is tasty. The Lamb Shawarma tempts you as it rotates on a vertical rotisserie in the kitchen. The hummus is great too. Four stars for food. On the other hand, the staff does not seem to know what to do yet. There were five employees hanging around the kitchen but only one seemed to be doing any cooking, which lead to a 20+ minute wait with just four other customers waiting. One time, an employee set up a PC laptop and started playing loud middle eastern music. I wouldn't have minded if it weren't so loud. Finally they didn't have the ordering system down in the times that I went. The "Order Here" sign isn't where they take orders, so if you wait there, someone else will order before you at the other end. Two stars for service. The store is odd mix of old and new. Drop ceiling with some classic looking lighting. New granite bar up front, but an unfinished plywood counter in the back. They have one of those stock photo type menus, as the actual food is served in styrofoam and foil. There is a bakerie type display case with refrigerated items inside. Though the food inside tastes good, it isn't presented in an appealing way. I've seen some of the staff at the hookah bar that used to occupy this site (and moved), so it seems like a new business venture by the same owner. If they could just get someone in there that knows how to run a restaurant, they'd be top stuff. Overall three stars.

Came here yesterday after spin class, it was just one guy manning the grill and taking orders but he was extremely efficient and friendly. I was feigning for a shawarma but the platter caught my eye. So as a good person will do, i ordered both, one for dinner and one for lunch. I decided to have the platter for dinner, that comes with lamb or chicken, i ordered lamb, rice, and some salad.. That was delicious, i will order that again, the shawarma i had today for lunch. It started out good, and then i realized the meat was extremely dried out.. In fairness i had it the day after, but it was ok.. I doubt if i will order it again.

Lots of things to like about this place: the baklava is the best, so fresh! The baklava has a slight anise flavor which I've never tasted in others' baklava, and I found this to be a wonderful new recipe. Also, great menu and nice outdoor dining. And the TV inside was showing an interesting documentary on President FD Roosevelt, which was a refreshing change from most places having sports TV blaring. Gave a classier feel to a very casual eatery. Friendly, warm, and eager-to-please staff, but I wish the woman kept her hair pulled back and out-of-the-way. Lighting was a bit too bright and it wasn't a place you'd want to linger in for a long meal, but with such low priced dinners, eating outside made it a lovely dinner for me. Season's Pizza has better seasoning in their Greek gyros, and better pita bread. Falafel House has good Lamb, though the seasoning seemed too much, but I know shwarmas are meant to be more heavily seasoned. I guess I just prefer Greek gyros' more mild or I would say subtle flavors. And Falafel House pita bread, which I asked to be sure, was as flatter than a tortilla, so again, I was expecting a softer, doughier pita. Perhaps I'm just becoming more vegetarian again. I will try Falafel house again, but probably only to try the kabobs and ganoosh.

How does this place have four stars, when it should deserve none? When I heard that there was a falafel house opening up in Towson, I was ecstatic. My husband and I, after contemplating what to eat for lunch headed to Falafel House, which is less than five minutes from where I live. My husband ordered Chicken & lamb schwarma wrap, and I ordered a falafel wrap. Let me tell you, the food looks nothing like the pictures that they have up in the restaurant nor menu. But I normally don't care about the presentation of the food as much, if the food taste good. But the food was bad, like inedible bad. The lamb and chicken schwarma had no flavor; it tasted like it was boiled in water with no seasoning. My falafel wrap was equally bland. Both wraps were soggy, and under-seasoned. Probably the worst falafel anything I've had, and I will not be back.

They just opened up and a true gem in the heart of Towson just steps away from the penthouse condos. The food is very fresh abundant and very filling, going here for the first time me and my dining partner tried various things on the menu and all were homemade very tasty and very fresh. The wrap sandwiches are huge the hummus is smooth and tasty and it's all so good. The platters are pretty big with a variety of food and the lamb was grilled and tender. basmanti rice is served The Arabic pastries are incredible. And best of all they are open till late night And do try the sage tea!! Just go here and try it all cuz it's all so good.

Falafel pita : not good. I think they need to go somewhere to watch how this item should be prepared. The falafel wasn't fresh. They seemed a little over cooked and at the same time a bit soggy like it had been reheated. The other ingredients, greens, tomato bits, cucumber etc were diced very thin, wilted and dripping with some kind of vinegar dressing. The pita was wrapped tightly in foil and closed on both ends like a burrito then cut (thru the foil) in the middle like a sub so I was picking bits of aluminum out. Sauces were thin and runny. $7.99 is on the high end for this kind of meal even when it's good. No other customers were inside When I ordered but the wait was about 15 minutes. Please go to a shop downtown or even to the state fair or a food truck to see how to do this right. On the up side, the place was clean and the staff was courteous.

Ok but had much better The falafel were hard and really lacked the flavor a falafel should have, it was dry and only yellow on the inside, a sign of no fresh ingredients ... Possibly used a mix out of a box. The lamb shawarma looked very dark (almost black) and was very dry To add insult to injury, the sauces they use are by no means authentic ... Tahini sauce is not that hard to make yet they did not seem to get it right The hot sauce was more bitter than hot and looked like something they squeezed out of a bottle They also charge $9 per. Sandwich which in my judgment is over priced I was really hungry when I stopped over, I was disappointed with the food but at least filled my hunger

Just heard about this place couple of days, and saw very good reviews. We are vegetarian, so we didn't have much choice. We tried vegetarian wrap and it was very good, will be back since my wife loves falafel and it was really good.

I just ate here for the first time and I will definitely be back. Went kind of late on a Sunday and we had the place to ourselves. It's a pleasantly concise menu with many of the options visible in the kitchen behind the counter. I got a falafel pita and it was very tasty. I got my pita with all the fixings: cucumber, tomato, hummus, red onion, roasted eggplant, lettuce, hot sauce and pickled cucumber and red cabbage. All of the toppings are made in house though the bread is not. The space is clean and open. The guy behind the register was indeed relaxed about putting my sandwich together but he was very friendly and gave full, helpful answers to my questions about the menu. I'm always on the lookout for tasty, cheap food that's heavy on vegetable matter and the falafel pita fits the bill nicely. It's a pretty great meal in sandwich form. I'll be back to try the lamb shawarma...

This place is so good and they give you a good amount of food. I got the lamb shawarma wrap with everything but onion and a order of Felafels 6 with extra tatziki sauce on the side. It was so much food that I was only able to eat half of if so I have 3 felafels and half a wrap for dinner tonight. Everything was delicious and the service was great, will come again for sure.

I have been to Falafel House many times and have tried several dishes and desserts. Each time I have visited the restaurant, I have been extremely pleased. The menu includes an assortment of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes: chicken and lamb shawarma, kabobs, falafel, wraps, and seasoned, grilled lamb chops. The meat is always fresh and well-seasoned. The presentation of the food is alluring. My personal favorite is the grilled lamb chops. They were succulent and perfectly cooked - the best I have eaten in my life. The employees are welcoming and display a sincere interest in accommodating their customers. The chef has a culinary gift and consistently demonstrates customer service excellence. Do yourself a favor...try Falafel House in Towson...satisfaction guaranteed.

So glad this place opened up! Have been really looking for a good place outside downtown. This is great Falafel. We did take out on a Tuesday night, service was quick. We had the Falafel wrap and the size was big enough for left overs. Husband had the lamb kabob platter and it was so good, hummus was perfect. The pita was a bit flat and dry but otherwise food was perfect. We will be back.

Falafel House is a great new Middle Eastern restaurant addition to Towson and surrounding area. The menu is not extensive, but what I have tried was really good. The interior is clean and nice. Best falafel pita I've ever had, really good lamb schwarma pita too. Portions are ample. Happy to find a place in town that has really good falafel, which is cooked fresh and hot with each order.

This just happened and I was so frustrated by the whole thing that I had to write about it. I arrived around 11:35am, and I think I must have been the first customer because there was no other customers, and one employee that took my order and another that seemed to be prepping things. I ordered the lamb wrap. First, they didn't slice the lamb off the circular thing,,, they heated it up in what looked like a pot on the grill/stove. I asked about it and he said that the spit wasn't ready yet. Okay, strike one. So while he was heating up the meat on the stove, he prepared my wrap w/ the side items. you could tell the lettuce and cabbage had been recycled from the previous day --- it was defintely not fresh. by the time he finished heating up the meat, it had been about 10 minutes since i had arrived. at that point, he added the meat to the wrap and put it on the panini. Which had not been heated up yet. So after 2-3 minutes on the panini, he brings the wrap up to the counter to show it to me and is touching the wax paper he had wrapped it in telling me that normally they serve it hotter, but that the panini press had not heated up yet. I said that i would like it however he felt it would taste the best. So he put it back on the panini for another 5 minutes or so. I paid and then left. I arrived back at my office about 3 minutes later, and sat down to eat. I opened up the styrafoam container and you could just see the wax paper surrounding the wrap was covered in grease. fine , i'm still going to eat this thing. Well , when i went to take my first bite , the wrap literally fell apart and the ingredients went spilling everywhere. I scraped together another bite , and quite frankly the meat simply tasted reheated. I threw the rest out. So 20 minutes to get a greasy wrap that tasted of reheated lamb and unfresh lettuce. The thing is we have an office of ~20 people 2 minutes away, and often 4-5 of us guys will go out to lunch at least 2-3x/week and if its a good place we will go back and back again. I was just so disappointed, I don't think I could even give it another try.
