I went with a large group on new years eve. They were busy but we were seated fairly quickly. I got the tempura green beans as my appetizer. They were pretty flavorless, just slightly salty, but the beans were still on the crisp side, which was nice. The duck sauce they came with made them tastier. My husband got the house egg rolls. They were very crispy and "different" with noodles on the inside. He liked them overall. I had the vegetable lo mein. It was a large portion. There were a decent amount of veggies, but they were a bit overcooked. The sauce was tasty and a little sweet instead of just salty. Nice change of pace. My husband had pork and green beans. The beans were well cooked and the dish had a nice sweet gravy. He ordered it with fried rice which was not really fried rice-it just had soy sauce and oil (?) on it. Yummy but odd. Bathrooms are very clean! Service was great for our large party and she split the checks perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the good experience.

Waitress made a mistake with my order, owner refused to correct it. They're overpriced for no reason because the food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't recommend the place and certainly won't be returning.

Not thrilled with this place at all but unfortunately it is the only sushi you can get this side of the solomons bridge.. Personally if someone is visiting The area i recommend going to asahi or okada in st marys.. My son was appalled by the bathrooms shape.. Enough so that he took pics ( i will post).. Keep in mind the waiters and cook staff use the same bathroom. Environment and overall feel needs to be updated.. It def does not have a classy or modern feel.. Missed opportunity in my opinion. Some people will just not eat in this type of environment- esp when their other options are asahi and okada! Prices are a little higher than the other two restaurants i mentioned above and the quantity and quality are not better or even close!!

Good Chinese restaurant for the area. They offer Chinese American and sushi. The Chinese food has good taste but typical of any Chinese restaurant. The ambience is a little dark (not much light was turn on I guess) as I went in for early lunch. I would definitely come back if need a good fix for Chinese food.

One of the best Chinese restaurants that I've ever been to. The staff is always very polite and very attentive. The serving sizes are very generous, you better plan on getting a to go box for you leftovers that will be amazing for a late night meal. The cashew chicken is awesome.

I've been here many times for Chinese food and now for sushi. The food has always been amazing and the service has always been friendly and helpful. The Chinese food is a little more expensive than average, but the quality is completely worth it. Their potstickers are the best I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of potstickers in my life. They opened a sushi bar a little bit ago and have quickly become my fiance's and my favorite sushi place. The fish has been extremely fresh every time we've come in and the sushi chef is so sweet. Price-wise, the sushi is on par with other sushi restaurants in the area. The only improvements they could use IMO is with the ambiance. The dining room is rather drab and makes the restaurant seem lower quality than it is. This doesn't affect the enjoyment but it certainly doesn't help either.

The owner is nice to let me charge my phone at the front desk~ ordered Singapore noodles, the shrimp and egg inside were really good, but the dry meat ( have no idea what are they) tasted a little weird, a little bit like "Chā Shāo"

Always great food and attentive, friendly service. Features a large and bright dining area with a new sushi bar off to the side. Moo Shu dishes are good, as is the Singapore Noodle and the Malaysian chow fun. Soups, even the small size, are served in HUGE bowls. The wine is very good and the serving sizes are always generous. Take out service is efficient.

Everything I've ever had here was fantastic! Their new sushi bar is far better than any of the local sushi bars around! They are very reasonably priced and you get the best quality food. The service is always awesome, everyone is very nice, and very friendly, highly recommended!

We came here in Feb 2015 and the food was great...the service not so much. We just went again (May 2015 ) and the service got worse and the food was horrible. There were only 15 people in the whole place, 5 of them being our group. So it couldn't have been because they were busy. Everyone placed their order then the food started to come out. The hot and sour soup was peppery not spicy. The roasted pork fried rice was super dry...they did take that off the bill. One of us order hunan beef and another hunan chicken. They brought 2 chicken and when something was said, the server looked at what SHE wrote as the order and told us that we were wrong because she had 2 orders of chicken on her pad. She was not willing to take it back. When the bill came, they had removed the pork fried rice but had added the 18% gratuity even though there were 5 of us and the menu says groups of 6. We are from out of town but come out here often. This will be our last visit to this restaurant.

Ordered Calamari for an appetizer, it was just ok. Very salty! Wouldn't order it again. We ordered about 7 or 8 different sushi rolls. Their spicy tuna roll was very good, had really nice flavor. The spicy girl roll was also very good. The other sushi we ordered was ok, nothing great. Our favorites were the spicy tuna and spicy girl roll. The place was clean, which is pretty important to us. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will go back again and try their Chinese food.

We order take out pretty regularly. Most of the Chinese food is pretty good and of better quality than other Chinese restaurants in the area. We especially enjoy the wonton soup, pot stickers, lo mein, Kung Pao chicken, General Tsao's chicken or shrimp, and Mu Shu pork. The egg rolls and spring rolls are too greasy. Some of their Asian bistro items are not so good, like the Pad Thai and Singapore noodles. I don't understand the compliments on the sushi? We are big sushi eaters and we have eaten sushi all over the country, and the sushi at Laughing Buddha is subpar. It reminds me of sushi you get at the mall. We only get take out because the service can be pretty bad and the place is dreary inside. When you do get take out, go over your food carefully. They sometimes miss something and are extremely stingy on the white rice. And if you ask for anything "extra" like an extra plum sauce or something like that be prepared to pay for it. They'll give you hot oil for free, just make sure they actually put in with the order. Bottom line is good staple Chinese items (except the egg rolls), inconsistent service, mediocre sushi, and a little pricy, but good quality.

Wow. This place was great! The food was absolutely fresh tasting and delightful! I'm from New York, so when it comes to Chinese and Italian, I'm a little picky I must admit. Laughing Buddha far surpassed my expectations. IMO, this is the best Chinese food in SOMD, and I think I've eaten at each and every one of them over the years. The house wonton soup is simply outstanding, as was the shrimp with veggies. If you like Chinese food, you will not be disappointed, so give it a try!

New favorite spot for Chinese Food in Southern Maryland. My wife and in-laws have been several times now, and we've always left with smiles on our faces and full tummies. I'm a vegetarian, and father in-law is a big time carnivore - both of us found wonderful eats across a broad span of delicious flavors and textures. Terrific veggie, chicken, steak and shrimp dishes.. and the egg rolls are fantastic. Delicious food, great service and reasonable prices. Can't ask for much more than that! I highly advise giving it a visit as soon as possible! Go when you're hungry, the portions are generous!

Food was average, not mind blowing but not horrible. Standard chinese food. I would recommend they serve brown rice.

I've been a regular customer since they opened and agree that they're dumplings are excellent. I did ask our waitress about them and she revealed that they do make them in house. My only complaint is that you don't get more with a single order. All food here is excellent, made to order and brought out as soon as it's ready. If you're getting bored with your favorite, I'd suggest trying one of their daily specials. They're always changing and gives the patrons a glimpse of the chef's creativity. It's a family owned establishment and you frequently see the owner. Best Chinese in SOMD.

A Chinese place down in Solomon's. Very good. Been there a few times. We've gotten the cheese puffs and potstickers for an appetizer, Seafood Bird Nest, sweet and sour chicken, house Lo Mein and the Singapore Noodles.

It's been a LONG time since I've had some good Chinese food and today we stumbled upon The Laughing Buddha. We were pleasantly surprised with their yummy food. We will be back again soon!

The best Chinese sit down restaurant in SOMD. Curry shrimp was to die for and the service is great too. We showed up 40 minutes before closing and the food was very fresh like they just opened.

I think there are as many Chinese places in the southern end of the county as there are Mexican places now. I have only eaten here once and it is still pretty new. I thought it would be a take out place, but there is plenty of seating and it looks nicer inside than it does outside. I ordered a lunch special - Lemon Chicken with fried rice, spring roll, and egg drop soup. There was so much food that I barely ate half of it and have yet to even taste the egg drop soup. I would recommend, but at this point I won't say I prefer it over another Chinese Place that is just south of this place. They have a website with their menu as well as a 10% off coupon when I last checked.

Food is reasonably priced. I've always had good service when I've been there. I've done carry out and dine in. Have had good experiences both times. Have plenty on the menu to chose from. Have had the pot stickers and chicken lettuce wraps for appetizers. Both were great As crazy as it might sound, they have the best Pad Thai. I also like the Szechuan Chicken and Mongolian Chicken. I always ask them to make it extra spicy and for hot peppers on the side. Great choice for anyone who likes Chinese.

Went there the other day for the first time and then went back a few days later for the second time. All in all pretty good. Hot and Sour soup was very good and the small would really feed two. The Lettuce Wraps are awesome! Crisp, cold, fresh lettuce leaves and a plateful of stir fried heaven to fill them with. My kids liked the General Tso's Chicken from Dynasty, better though but it was still good. We will be back.

Best Calamari you will ever have! Cheese Puffs (Crab Rangoon) are awesome as well! I have been eating at LB since it first opened and the service has improved greatly! SO much so that I talked my boss into going back and trying it and he was very pleased when he tried it again! Interior could use some updating, which is why I gave it 4 stars, and not 5. bar area is also a great experience, especially when Brad is working it! Love this place!

Not so great for dining in, but their take-out is fast. My friends love this place. I'm not much of a fan, but I'm admittedly picky about Chinese food. This just seems too greasy for my tastes overall - kind of like Chinese fast food - and their dumplings are actually kind of fatty and gristly. Their fried rice and rangoon is pretty good, though.

The food is great and the staff is friendly and efficient. This is my go-to for Chinese food in SOMD.

This is our families favorite Chinese place around here. The kids love the non-spicy orange chicken and I like moo shoo pork. The quality of food has always been really consistent and Service is pretty good. They also have a full service bar with interesting shots and drinks. We stopped by here on the way home from the Tiki Bar opening the last 2 years for some late-night food and night-cap.

I have been back at least 4 times. The last was for a birthday FEAST with a large group. We ended up ordering almost every appetizer on the menu and a good portion of the entrees. Still awesome! Still making me regret we don't live close enough to get take-out at least once a week! Worth mentioning was something I'd never bothered to try...the DUMPLINGS. I guess I overlook standard fare lots of times and don't bother to order if there are uniquely different things on the menu. I'm glad someone at the table ordered these! I've never tasted a dumpling so tender. I suppose I never ordered dumplings because I've been brain-washed into thinking that I'm going to get a gummy chewy over steamed dumpling. The Laughing Buddha dumplings just ruined all other dumplings for me! They practically disintegrated on my tongue! It was like someone in the kitchen had taken a cloud and wrapped it around a bit of juicy well seasoned pork and put it on a plate! All I'm saying is....these dumplings should be served by tiny baby flying cherubs and accompanied by harp music!

Good service and fairly inventive menu. Vegetables were crisp and seafood wasn't overcooked. Try the broccoli with garlic as a side and don't foget the calamari to start things off. Nothing fancy, just plain good.

Walk out the door, turn left, go 800 paces. You are now at the front door of China Harbour. We tried LB after reading all of the reviews and listening to friends. It tasted just like something you would get at a mall food court. We always get our Chinese to go so the inside doesn't matter to me much. Between the three of us not one person said they would eat there again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
