Many local restaurants can't compete with the chain stores available today, but that is not true for Red door sub shop. Our trip to Red Door was a great experience. We arrived and our order was taken promptly. Their employees especially the man who appeared to be the manager was courteous and personable. Our order arrived a cold cut and a chicken parmesan sub both having a generous amount of meat. Our subs had great flavor and just the right amount of toastiness to the bun. They also have daily lunch specials. My only complaints were the bathrooms were outdated and the lack of trash cans near the exit. We will return.

I ordered from this place for the first time because my girlfriend said that they had great cheesesteaks. She got one of those and I got a pizza burger and fries. Mine turned out okay, just okay, but she ordered hers plain and it showed up an hour and a half after we ordered with mayonnaise and and lettus and and tomatoes on it. On top of that she said they must have changed the steak they used because it was not nearly as good. I called back the next day and they have her a measly 5$ credit to use in the future. I tried them one more time today and waited almost 2 hours AGAIN. I called after one hour and they said it was on it's way. So almost another hour later I get the food and it's mediocre, and cool. If it weren't for the super lateness and my girlfriends food being completely wrong id STILL only give them a 3. Never again.

I waited almost 2 hrs after my fiancé ordered our food and when it finally came everything was cold and they forgot my fries but still charged us for them. When my fiancé called they tried to give us a $5 credit but I said I want what we paid for. This is the worst service ever and I will not be going to or ordering from red door again!

Usually love Red Door..but it seems lately they can't get an order right. They always forget something. They need to get their orders down right. When I called to tell them they forgot part of order the girl took my address and hung up on me..good customer relations keep customers. Think I'll try somewhere new next time.

They make one of the best cheesesteaks you will get in town. They make everything to order and are one of the few hidden gems of a sub shop in Salisbury. Thier burger and fries are also very solid.

This place is so inconsistent. I love the hellacious wings but they are only good 50% of the time at best. I have taken them home and found them awesome and taken them home and found them cold and slimy. I have given up on them. I have had pizza there a few times and enjoyed it. I find the cold cut to be made of junkie meats and the toppings and meat are totally separated on the bread. Found the cheese steak to be greasy and not good. I usually get put on hold for a while when calling and always have to wait for a while when I go to pickup.

Ordered the pizza today, delivery. It took about 2 hours to get here. Was told there was a problem with the system for ordering online. I got the thin and crispy pizza. If you like thin and crispy, this is for you. (Not for me though.) The cheese blend is pretty good and the sauce is nice too. I have had the cheese-steak from there and it was ok. I would give this place a 4th star but after a 2 hour wait I should have gotten the pizza free or at least a 50% off discount instead of the 20% they offered me. Final thoughts: Hit or miss, this place is in no hurry.

Called in an order for a Philly with no mushrooms and a buff chx cheesesteak with the blue cheese on the side for pick up...they sounded busy because I was on hold for 6 mins before I could even place my order so I made sure to repeat the details of my order multiple times. But when we got home with our order there were mushrooms in the Philly and blue cheese in the chx cheesesteak...we wouldn't have been too upset if the food was delicious but we were actually not that impressed...it would just be easier to avoid the hassle and go somewhere that can get my order right

So ordered delivery from Red Door and they delivered the order but forgot half of it. The attitude was oh we will bring it once we have another driver going that way. No other I'm sorry or accommodations were offered. They paid no attention to the order details and added stuff that wasn't ordered. And yet again offered no apologies or an attempt to correct the order. The person that answered the phone refused to put a manager on the phone.

Nothing like a fat coldcut sub with fresh bread, meat & veggies. That's what I had when I ordered the Turkey Sub. I hoovered it, very satisfying. This is the oldest running restaurant in town. They must be doing something right if they have survived this long and after a location change to boot. I've ordered from here in the past and never been disappointed. I like the way the place looks inside, lots of red & white that might remind you of a malt shop.

I will give credit where credit is due. Their $5 12" sub special is a very good deal. I haven't had many other things on the menu but used to visit this place just for the sub special. Wait times can be VERY long if they are busy...sometimes 30 minutes for a sub. The reason why I'm giving this place 1 star is because of the 3 compliant letters I wrote to the owner, I received NO responses. Unacceptable. Since he doesn't feel he needs to take the time to answer my concerns, I'm not going to take the time to visit this place again. Also, the bathrooms smell like a middle school locker room.

Great bread, meat, and toppings. Not always fast, but fresh food takes time. Very generous on meat. Wings are good--never tried the pizza. Lots of food for the prices. Our kids love it too. We use delivery once in a while--always been good service. Make sure they are clear on order if you call in.

A place that proves if you have good food for good prices, it doesn't matter the location or terribly tacky Americana decorations. I guess this place is hit or miss, judging from the other reviews I have read, but I have never had a problem here. In fact, I have been very pleased with the food there. The sizes are plentiful for what you pay(and the prices are very reasonable for what you get) and in all my experiences, fresh and delicious. I always get the chicken salad sub (and have always been told what comes on it and asked if its all ok as well as any additional condiments I would like) because I'm picky about chicken salad and Red Door chicken salad is light, crisp, and fresh as opposed to a mayonnaise salad with some chicken added. My husband, however, tries different things and since I like always take a taste and have enjoyed those other items as well (i.e. cheesesteak and cold cut sandwich) As far as service, I have never had bad service but I guess it does depend on who you get. I think as long as you are nice and engaging with whomever it is taking your order, there should be no problem. The food does take a tiny while to come up but its never unreasonably long and its usually due to the high volume of people that are in there. There has only been one time where I have gone in and there wasn't a line, it wasn't but 5 minutes before a hoard of non stop people came in though. I will continue to go there, until I find a finger or something in my food :-p
