If yelp allowed it, I would give another half a star. This place has SO much potential but did not live up to the other two reviews posted here. When we got there we were the only people there. I hope that lady taking orders is new, otherwise she needs to find a new occupation. She didn't know the menu and took forever writing everything part of our order out, no short hand, even though we ordered things by number off the menu. #17, scrambled, bacon but she wrote it ALL out. Not the end of the world obviously but it was the beginning of a LONG breakfast stay. She never asked us how we wanted our eggs or what type of bread my husband wanted for his toast. She eventually came to our table to ask us. We assumed since she didn't ask that they only came one way. Our drinks were served promptly. My husband's soda in a small bottle, son's milk freshly poured into a cup, and I was given a cup for my coffee. There is a coffee station in a corner which is a great idea, only the coffee was very weak. Perhaps I like mine strong, but it wasn't hot just warm. It took 30 minutes for our breakfasts to arrive. The waffle was scrumptious and required no topping. The bacon and sausage were both equally as delicious. My husband's eggs were overcooked and mine were undercooked. The sage in the eggs were nice in my scrambled eggs but were a little too overpowering in my husband's fried. His potatoes seemed like they were out of a bag and weren't crisp. I understand why, but I really dislike the fact that they use styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. It doesn't seem to fit the vibe they seem to attain. In addition there is no recycling to even try and equalize the impact. We won't be returning soon, but we are willing to give here another go. So, SO much potential but definitely missed the mark.

The coffee was similar to a burnt Sunoco blend, but we'll let that slide. Breakfast Bum is a casual joint with delicious, incredibly reasonable, breakfast sandwiches. I had the greasy sausage, egg, and cheese and while I was politely slamming it down in my professional work suit, I reminisced on my broke college days and thought, "Gee... If I went to Salisbury, I'd collect all my pennies and spend too many hungover mornings with these nice ladies at the counter."

Fresh made breakfast. The food is delicious. There will be a wait... especially on weekends. Be patient and you will be rewarded with something yummy. There's free wifi... so that helps. Service has always been friendly and courteous to my wife and I. The atmosphere is very laid back and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you aren't in a hurry.

I have eaten here at least twenty times, although my visit yesterday will be my last. As many other reviewers noted, the food is very good. The wait time can be ridiculous. They also do mix up orders. This has happened many times to me. Yesterday though the owner felt the need to come over to me to say that I had "stolen" another customer's food. The wait staff had said my name and brought the food to my table. The owner was incredibly rude. Customers make or break your business and you won't be very successful treating people like that. She never apologized for her rude comments. Instead of fixing her mistake for the customer who didn't get their food, she chose to come to my table and berate me. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

Delicious made to order food! Very affordable, however since everything is made fresh there is a wait but it's worth it if you have the time.

The food was great the wait not so much. We ordered our food (2 people) with only 6 others in the whole place and 4 of which were already served and enjoying. After 15 min 1 of our orders arrived and while it was great the other order of food did not arrive for another 10 min for a total of 25 min for bacon,ham, eggs and toast. While the food was great the wait is terrible 25 min for eggs with only 2 orders in front of mine just is not acceptable. Great food but long wait!

I was surprised by the low price vs high quality. The eggs were huge, the sausage was not cheap quality. The waffles were gigantic. It tasted great. I payed $7 and was stuffed

Food is excellent... We keep coming back for the food but unfortunately the wait times are horrendous and the orders are often wrong. If it wasn't for the fact that they probably make the best breakfast sandwiches in Salisbury I wouldn't come back.

Great food, fresh, friendly service. All at a decent price. The food, as everyone has said, is awesome. They do put pepper in the eggs while cooking, so if you don't like it. Ask them to hold it. The food is cooked to order by 1-2 people. If you are in a hurry, you better call first. If it's busy, expect to wait. It is worth it! The staff and owner have always been very friendly and courteous.

Eh... unlike the other reviewers we did not have a long wait but I didn't find anything too spectacular about the food. My chipped beef was under seasoned and runnier than I expected while my potatoes were drowning in italian seasoning (which I have been burping up all afternoon). My boyfriend got a sandwich which wasn't particularly special and some bacon. The coffee was weak and watery. We paid a little over $20 for our meal, which is a bit much for what we got in my opinion. It wasn't the worst meal ever, but definitely not the best. We, most likely, will not be returning. Now I have to go walk off all the extra calories I incurred by spluring on this mediocre meal.
