I see other people have had issues with cupcakes that aren't fresh, but I didn't have that problem when I went. Maybe I got lucky, but my cupcake was moist and tasty, with perfectly creamy frosting. Putting a cupcake in a cup and topping it with frozen yogurt is such a decadently delicious idea I can't believe I've never seen it anywhere else. I had the pecan hazelnut cupcake (an everyday flavor) with the vanilla yogurt. Both were great, and they were even better together. If you don't understand what "synergy" is, try this combo, and you'll achieve instant enlightenment. The yogurt soaks into the cake in the perfect way, making it go down as smooth as you can imagine. The trouble with that concept, though, is even if you have a great cupcake, if the yogurt isn't a good match, you run the risk of a clash that hurts the whole experience. My date had this issue. She tried the red velvet cupcake with cookies and cream yogurt. It sounds fine, but the yogurt did not taste as expected. It was very tart, almost citrusy. Definitely not what we expected from the name, and it didn't go well with the cupcake, even though the cupcake itself was good when we got bites of it alone. So, the cupcakes are good, but make sure you match it well! They get bonus points for adding cupcake options for each day of the week. They do have everyday cupcake flavors, as I alluded to, but each day of the week also has 4-5 unique flavors offered only on that day. I went on a Monday, which has the coconut chocolate, coffee aroma, and a couple others. They enticed me, but I couldn't get my eyes off those pecans. What caught my eye even more was the amaretto chocolate ganache, offered only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Needless to say, I'm coming back on one of those days.

I wanted this place to be awesome, sadly it was not. The cheesecake flavor was decent at best. The gummi bears were rock hard and the fruit seemed almost spoiled. The cupcakes (red velvet/strawberry) were uninspired, kind of dry, and slightly bland. The small coconut macaroon was ok.

The Love of My Life and I wanted to try this place after seeing it sitting there calling our names while we were dining at Pho Nom Nom. I've been curious about this "fro-yo" craze, so we figured that this would be the time to check it out for ourselves. Besides, my boyfriend is wild about cakey things, and I'm wild about frozen dessert things. Win-win, right? Unfortunately, after visiting Yocake, I think we have to say that this craze is sadly overrated and a lot of hype. I got the "medium special", which was froyo with three "toppings" for 4.75. They were out of my preferred flavor (peach), so I got cheesecake instead. My boyfriend decided on the cookies and cream froyo with an amaretto chocolate ganache cupcake on the side. First, my boyfriend's verdict: he says "meh". It was okay, it wasn't six-dollar-plus good. He prefers ice cream to froyo, anyway. The cupcake was soft and moist and the way it's supposed to be, but tasted like it had "been there for a while". My opinion of the cheesecake froyo was that... it wasn't really as sweet as I'd expected (in this case, a good thing), but the medium was definitely overkill. I should have ordered a small, because by the end of it, I was sort of sitting there wishing that the experience was over. I got kiwi, coconut and strawberry mochi as toppings; while the kiwi fruit and the coconut were really good, the mochi was just... ech, I just don't even know what to think of it. It tasted like a cross between melted gummy bears and half-done Jello - just really nasty, and it detracted from the experience. (My boyfriend didn't like the mochi, either. Ugh.) On the plus side, the staff was really nice, and patient with us when it was quite clear that we didn't know what to order. The decor is attractive, as well. It was nice to try, but in all honesty I don't think it's our "thing", and I don't think we'd be back.

Eh. A stopby if you're in a nearby restaurant and don't want to travel far for dessert, but not a must-go by any means. ~Tiramisu is overpriced for the small portion you get, and not very flavorful ~Cupcake icing was very soft and tasty, but the cake itself was pretty dense and dry. Avoid the punch of sugar that is the flower decor or orange chewies. I like the sizing of the cupcake at Yocake, compared to the DC stores that will always make you feel like you're gaining a pound from those large nuggets. ~If you're going to get cookies, get the red velvet. It has the PERFECT consistency and is the only reason I like going back to Yocake. On St. Patty's day, they made them green, which was cute. It's not too sweet and you'll get the nice hard edge with super soft center. + Employees are always awesome. Side note on cookies: we have visited Yocake on FOUR different occasions, all at different times, to try to get a fixin' of chocolate chip cookies. Every time, they have "run out." The last try was during the start of the day, and we couldn't believe it was still "out." That's the last time we're believing that/trying.

Yocake, YoYo-Ma, Yogi Bear, Yoda, Yo Adrian, Yo Mama's sooo fat...her patronus is a cake! In an area saturated with too many Yogurt and cupcake shops comes the hybrid of the two. It's like a Glee mash up gone wild. Who would have ever thought about adding yogurt with cake? It's a brilliant idea! It's amazing! It's so original. What's next ice cream and cake? (note the sarcasm) Ok, most of the yogurt is non-fat and probiotic, so that should set your mind and your waist lines at ease when you're still taking in about another additional 250 calories of cupcake. (give or take) They do have the usual toppings for the yogurt including mochi in various flavors that makes your combination fun. And of course, the cupcakes. There is a variety, but they have their standards like german chocolate cake, lemon and red velvet. I always judge a place by it's red velvet cake. You get this right then you know you're going to be doing well. But, Coffee aroma? That one confused me. It smells like coffee, but tastes like cake? Why not just make a coffee cake in a cupcake size? Just tossing that out. So, how did they do? I got the "yocake" with red velvet and cheesecake yogurt. The red velvet was too sweet and dry to be honest. The yogurt was somewhat reminiscent of cheesecake, but a little weak. What really made it palatable was having it as a combination, but it didn't 'wow' me. It was like, it's ok...but for $3.95 without toppings, its a good deal. This is definitely not for the connoisseur of either deserts. I would like for them to really concentrate on more flavorful yogurt or just switch to Gelato. Gelato and cupcake. You can call it Gelcake or Cakalto. No, sounds like either an adhesive or bad poo from Spain. But, here's what I liked about it. It can be a great treat for kids after a soccer game or as an after school treat on your way home, but for me I would rather travel to two different shops. Oy!

I've tried the Yocake cupcakes at Montgomery Mall and was't impressed. With the huge selection of cupcake places in the DMV like Crumbs, Baked & Wired, and Georgetown Cupcakes, Yocake definitely pales in comparison. But after noticing the new location, my date and I had to stop in to see what else they offered! I squealed with excitement as I discovered the huge selection of macarons! They were priced individually at $1.30 a piece, regardless if you bought 7+ or more, which I found to be a little lame. It was nice to find such a huge selection of flavors, but after tasting each and every one of them, I wasn't impressed. The flavors weren't distinct, and the sweetness of each quickly became overwhelming. I was also impressed that I found 3-4 different flavors of Mochi for our cup of frozen yogurt, but the consistency was too soft and melted too quickly. For such an big and open space, management should seriously consider putting in bigger tables, because there's only a few small ones designed for 1 or 2 per table. Overall, Yocake in my opinion has nothing going for it, especially compared to it's competition. Meh treats, with high pricing, in a blah environment. I wouldn't be if the place was turned into another business in the next year!

I am a cupcake snob and these held their own - I liked the ability to get fro-yo and my little one loved the cake batter froyo with the mix in choices. Standards like chocolate and vanilla were decent and hubs liked the German Chocolate with a filling - nice touch.

This place is so good its not even fair. Macaroons are awesome but the cupcake in froyo is a must.

  • Mok-Yi C.

Love it. It was a great spot to swing by after a nice meal next door (East Pearl or Pho Nom Nom, take your pick!). I like the two chairs per table set up, it was nice, intimate, and simple. We tried the Red Velvet & Triple Chocolate cup cakes and the macarons, I think they are comparable to Georgetown and Sprinkle, especially the Triple Chocolate - I am a huge chocolate fan so I specifically wanted to see how their chocolate is. It hits a good spot in terms of flavor, I'm a fan.

Delicious and genius! Try the coconut cupcake with cookies and cream or strawberry yogurt. Also, well made macaroons. Wish it had more seating though. Hard to sit with a large group.

  • Uttam K.

Extremely courteous service. Unfortunately, the frozen yogurt is just meh... the cupcakes are just meh... Though the combination (which is the Yocake) is just a bit better than meh. It was a HOT day when we dropped by in need of cooling down and making up for the terrible lunch we just had next door. I was expecting awesome, but was disappointed. The prices are in line with most ice cream parlours or bakeries... pretty high for what you get. Would I go here again?..... I doubt it.

Honestly, the cupcakes are not that good, although they look nice. The cake was so-so, and the frosting was too sweet. I've had better pre-packaged cupcakes at grocery stores for 75 cents each. These are NOT $2.75 cupcakes!

First off, the disclaimer: I visited at 9pm. So this means the cupcakes and macaroons were probabally not at their best due to maryland humidity... but then again, if you can't sell it at its best quality.... Cupcakes: the amaretto was good. Bf thought it was great. As for myself, I have a disaronno addiction I have to fight off looking at a bowl of oatmeal (lol more of a joke than serious, but it has crossed my mind) so that being said could have used more ummmph. Ganache frosting was lovely. Vanilla cupcake was dry (see disclaimer) and I thought the choc frosting was too bitter for a cupcake. Macaroons: my bf woofed down the pistachio before I could taste it, but I heard a muffled sound that sounded like an approval coming from his mouth as he inhaled it. The choc hazelnut I thought was a bit chewy (again disclaimer) but the flavor profile was there. Coconut macaroons were okay. Cookies: red velvet was delicious. Made me angry I diddnt commit to the cupcake. But a small piping of cream cheese frosting (like a hostess cupcake) would have put it over the top. So overall everything was okay. As I am one who tracks cupcake flavors at my favorite cupcakeries online, I obviously have an addiction that cannot be helped. Baking macaroons in maryland humidity is not by any means easy. I have personally screamed at a tray of sticky ruined meirangues . So I will be back, but waaay earlier in the day to resample the goods. Ladies at the counter were super nice too

This is probably one of the better bakeries in the Rockville area. I had their red velvet cupcake; the blend of the cake and icing was perfect. I'm not a big fan of sweet things but the icing was sweet enough to complement the cake. However I did find the cake a bit dry. Georgetown cupcakes are more moist and the icings at both places are comparable. Price range is also the same but Yocake also sells frozen yogurt hence the name but I have yet to try it. Their macarons (blueberry and potacchio) was absolutely delicious! They were mini size so you don't feel guilty after eating them! Potacchio (green) was the better one out of the two. Definitely a place to stop by if you're looking for something sweet!

  • Devin H.

The cupcakes are excellent, I would got out of my way for them. The yogurt is good, perhaps even more delicious when mixed with the cupcakes. I will be back..

WOW!!!! These cupcakes are AMAZING. I have been searching for a quality local bakery so I don't have to travel to downtown DC - and I now found it just up the street. They just opened on Rockville Pike in between Bloom and Rockville Town Center. I bought a half dozen cupcakes and split them with 3 friends so we each got to sample all 6 flavors. The cupcakes were all moist, and the frosting was light and sweet, but not overly so. The chocolate vanilla, strawberry bliss, and lemon were my favorites. And we tried a few of the macaroons - outstanding! They were flaky with a the right amount (tiny bit) of chew - and intense flavor. The chocolate ones and the chocolate mint were my favorites, and my husband really liked the pistachio. We since went back to try the yogurt - another WOW. It blew Berry Cup and Yogiberry out of the water!!! (They were my local go-to yogurt places before now). I tried the cheesecake and a bit of my husband's plain yogurt - both were the perfect combination of creamy and flavorful. And the plain wasn't overly icy or bland like at some other places - it was creamy and tart. Nice work, Yocake! Keep it up!!!

Not too impressed. cupcake was pretty dry and dense...no one is really missing out by not going. I think I was going to go throw up after eating one of these. Wish it was better.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this out because we wanted some frozen yogurt. We ended up getting yogurt and some macarons. I tried the acai berry yogurt and my girlfriend had a mango pistachio swirl. They had a great selection of toppings for the yogurt including various types of mochi and these orbs that were fruit juice in a membrane. All the yogurt was balanced in flavor. The acai was tangy and sweet, but not too over powering. The pistachio was mellow and warm in flavor, while the mango was sweet with a slight acidity. It's not pinkberry good, but I'd say it's the best I've had in the Rockville area. The macaron however were terrible. We tried the red velvet, lavender, bluberry, and key lime in that order. The red velvet was just alright, pretty good texture, but just okay in flavor. Also it seemed like you could almost taste the food coloring in it. The lavender had way too much lavender oil in it, taking away any delicateness from the flavore and making it unbalanced. Then the blueberry was overly sweet, it tasted more like a blueberry jelly bean. It was full of sugar and unappetizing. When I thought it couldn't get any worse, there was the key lime. It tasted like it had lime soap filling. It was disgusting. We didn't get a chance to try the cupcakes, but after having the macaron, I did not have high hopes for them. As for the establishment itself, the staff was kind and helpful. The seating is only designed for pairs, so it's not ideal for groups.I would come here again but only for the yogurt.

I loved the concept of YoCake. Yogurt and cupcake! My two faves. Anyhow, I love the different cupcake flavors and at the Rockville location they have macaroons. Honestly, I can't think of anywhere else in the Rockville area that sells macaroons so it is pretty refreshing. The prices are kind of expensive but then again nothing new (reason why star is a bit lower then it should be). The cupcakes are kind of overly sweet and the "cake" portion itself is kind of thick. I think it makes sense for it to go with the yogurt so it doesn't crumble quickly but after I finish half of the cupcake in the YoCake, it is still pretty tough. Overall: Good =)

  • Stacey A.

I love cupcakes. And frozen yogurt is delicious. So it makes perfect sense to put the two together. I was excited to try Yocake, after it opened up in Rockville. It was pretty good, but not great (I ordered the signature - german chocolate cupcake with cookies n cream yogurt). I would have given it more stars, however: 1. The cupcake was pretty dry! I could not imagine enjoying the cupcake without the yogurt on top, because it would have crumbled everywhere 2. The server/cashier did not put enough frozen yogurt! He was being meager... man! 3. And lastly, why could they not include at least 1 topping with the price??? Paying 99 cents for one topping is a bit much, and three toppings for 1.99 is over the top. If it's their signature, at least include one topping!! I'm not sure if I would come again. It's a nice concept, but they could do more to make it great.

  • Sherry Z.

I came at the end of the day which might be why the cupcake was a bit dry. However, the froyo and cupcake mixture was very fun and the perfect amount for 2 people to share in my opinion. Overall, an interesting gimmick more than an actually good dessert place. On the plus side, they give you much sturdier spoons than most froyo places.

Fresh, moist, beautifully made cupcakes! Finally! I've been to a couple other places where I thought my nephews would have made better, so had been hesitant to try other places. We brought a dozen into work and everyone loved them!

  • Danielle M.

I really wish it were self serve so I could get a little of all my favorite toppings instead of one big scoop of topping for $1. Also the yogurt favors were boring, my fave taro and coconut were missing. :( had a cupcake another time and it was good though!

  • Pinto Y.

The first thing I can think of the place is that now it feels like Bethesda Row at the end of Rockville Pike. Obviously, the slick design and the edgy atmosphere are the first things a visitor to Yocake will feel. I went with the regular fat-free yogurt , which, for me, was a bit overpriced. It come down to a matter of taste but personally, I prefer Yogi Berry or any other business that will provide that diluted yogurt cheaper. Two thumbs up for the design!

  • L K.

Went for the froyo... My son, who is four, really wanted strawberry. They didn't have any so I got peach and had the staff put strawberries on top. My son didn't know the secret and said, "this is the best ice cream I've ever had!" so I tried some and it was definitely yummy. We will be back!

    (4)
  • Honey B.

No thank you. Of all the froyo places sprouting up in the area...I was least impressed with this one. There was no vanilla non-fat yogurt except if you wanted the one with artificial sweetener in it. That was the first negative point. And the chocolate fro yo tasted horrible and I couldn't even finish it. I regret having spent money (and lots of it!!) on such horrible fro yo. I spend just as much on this place as I did across the way at Pho Nom Nom for an amazing sandwich. Maybe the yogurt wasn't right today?? And 99 cents for a single topping is a little steep. Ugh...why did I waste my money??

  • Khanh V.

I like this place a lot. In Vietnam I would go to a little hole in the wall eatery in Ho Chi Miinh City that made its own yogurt, and they came in little plastic bottles and were frozen to the texture of soft-serve. The original tart frozen yogurt at Yocake is exactly like it. Never did I imagine I would have access to it here in Maryland of all places. Don't bother with toppings - the yogurt is wonderful on its own. I usually get a small serving, and sometimes will buy a bucket size batch to take home and freeze. It hardens a little in the freezer, but the texture is still smooth, creamy, and satisfying. I'm a big fan of the small sugar cookies and chocolate chip ones as well. At only 2 for a dollar, it's an impulse buy for sure. The cupcakes are okay. They aren't as moist as Georgetown or Spinkles, but they are meant to be combined with froyo, so you don't want them too rich. The strawberry cheesecake cupcake is the best flavor The gimmick Yocake combination of cupcake and yogurt works quite well, if you pick the right flavor. Original tart doesn't really go well with any cupcake flavor in my opinion, so I usually end up with vanilla or cheesecake flavored yogurt on top of a strawberry cheesecake or red velvet cupcake. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and have never rolled their eyes at me,

    (5)
  • G G.

OK. So I think it is silly to pay so much for cupcakes and I honestly bought a half dozen just to support a local business, but they were very good. My kids loved the red velvet. We'll try the ice cream and cupcake combo next time.

Welcome to the 21st century version of cake and ice cream! It's a rather neat concept, combining two of the most popular dessert trends, frozen yogurt, and cupcakes. They've got a variety of cupcake flavors, each of which can be topped with any of their available frozen yogurt flavors, and any additional toppings of your choice. I had a vanilla cake cupcake, with coconut frosting, with original tart yogurt on top. The tartness of the yogurt was a perfect compliment to the sweetness of the cupcake. It's served in a cup, which is shaped in a way to perfectly secure the cupcake in place at the bottom, and allows you to enjoy the combination, without having a messy yucky looking plate, as we used to have at the cake and ice cream kiddie birthday parties in the 1980s. As a stand alone item, the cupcake may have been a bit on the sweet side, so if going to Yocake, i definitely recommend going for the signature combination, and over going there just for the cupcake itself. In addition to the signature Yocake, they do sell macarons, though they were a bit pricey, considering their bite size. Also, they sold strawberry shortcake, which is made with real whipped cream. I picked one up to take home, and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. The cake was spongy, and not overly sweet, and the cream, as stated, was real whipped cream, which is 89579834578934 times better than that fake whipped topping stuff. Overall, they've got a great signature product, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I even heard a staff member giving calorie counts and fat grams to a finicky customer. I wish Yocake had locations where I live, in the San Francisco Bay Area, bu they don't. Until such exist here, I know that I have something to look forward to on future DC area trips.

Yocake, located in between Pho Nom Nom and East pearl should be a win right? Wrong! I love desserts, and usually go buck wild on the desserts at the Borgata buffet but when I tried the stuff at Yocake, I was quite disappointed. Cream puffs were a total fail. (go to Stellas for these) The Macaroons ok.. The Froyo wasn't anything special with the fruit coming in quite stale tasting. I'll pass on the cupcakes.

    (2)
  • Mei B.

To be honest I was rather disappointed First of all the weather that day was pretty warm for spring, yet the inside of Yocake was rather uncomfortably warm. The Froyo was more like sorbet and the macaroons were not very tasty. I heard a customer come in and complain about how dry her macaroons were. Don't think I will come back but I probably should have just tried their yocakes! Parking was also a hassle because there are many restaurants in the area

I ended up here on their opening day because I saw people inside and figured it was worth a try. I didn't have the same opening day experience as the others though. I didn't wait in any lines. Actually they waited for me because I didn't know what to order. The opening day of any place is hard on the staff but they were friendly and we're able to answer all my questions about the flavors. All in all it was a good experience. I liked the cupcake I got, German Chocolate, and the yogurt. It was pretty sweet but what do you expect from a cupcake covered in yogurt? I'll go back.

I feel bad that the previous reviewer had a negative experience but I just went in and customer service was excellent. They were very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The cupcakes are also pretty decent. I do agree that they are a teeny bit on the sweet side, but I like sweet cupcakes so they worked for me.

I went here after eating at one of the restaurants next door, great meal there (I forget the name, pho-something?). It's a good location; you don't have to travel too far for a sweet after a good meal. Came looking for a little sweet treat afterwards. Nice open space, good seating. I decided to get a red velvet cupcake, said to be one of their bestsellers. I thought the cream cheese frosting was okay, buttery and light, but a little sticky, like I put my finger on a little bit and it stuck kind of like glue. It tasted pretty good. The cake, however, was quite dry and a little too crumbly. I have had a strawberry cupcake and acai frozen yogurt before at their Montgomery Mall location, which were good. Maybe I can try their frozen yogurt at this location next time I'm here for a meal.

First of all, the concept of cupcakes and yogurt is ingenious. Second, I got the coconut cupcake and it was phenomenal. It was perfectly moist and just amazing. I also got the strawberry yogurt on top and it just made it even more amazing. I love this place and will definentley come back!

After living in LA for some years, i have been spoiled because i've had fantastic tasting frozen yogurt and cupcakes on a frequent basis. So.....I've decided to try Yocake, and I basically had to throw the stuff in the garbage. The chocolate cookie had an after taste (surely stale). The tart yogurt was tart but not in a "tasty tart way". I bought 4 different cupcakes, and they all were unimpressive. Although they were not dry, they tasted as though they were made from boxed cake mix from the supermarket. Worst of all was the cupcake icing/topping. It was pure butter and sugar, with the sugar not melted. As a result, the icing/topping was grainy, as if it was made in a hurry. Finally, although the shop was sparkling clean, it was BORING!!! Part of the experience of indulging in frozen yogurt and cupcakes is doing so in A fun and beautiful setting. This place was drab and uninviting with heavy wooden doors. Will not return.

Last night I was caught in a mega chocolate craving. My favorite food is chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream but there were no birthday parties to crash. So when I saw Yocake has cupcakes with frozen yogurt, I thought, hmm, it sounds similar enough... But I am not a fan of the recent trendy yogurt or cupcake places, so I was skeptical about this place as well. They had very artfully decorated cupcakes, macaroons, and pastries. I got the german chocolate cupcake with chocolate frozen yogurt. The yogurt was good, really chocolatey, no skimping there. The cupcake was good, but mostly buttery smooth frosting. I would try one with less frosting next time since I am One of those weird people that scrapes off the frosting just so I can have more cake. And I felt bad for the beautiful cupcake being smothered in frozen yogurt. My suggestion would be to put the yogurt in first, and then nestle the cupcake in the middle. My bf got the triple layer chocolate cake and almost overdosed on chocolate. It is not some froufrou little piece of fluff, but a serious study in chocolate cake, Chocolate mousse, and chocolate frosting. It was moist, sweet, and chocolatey. Not that fake stuff that looks like chocolate but tastes like vanilla. Did we lie around comatose afterwards? You betcha. Would we do it again? Oooh you bet we would. Will I be signing up for marathons to burn off the calories? Probaby not, but I should.

I love this place. My friends & I come here all the time after we get some pho next door. My favorite is the iced milk slush with all the toppings. I'm not a fan of slushy drinks, but oh my goodness, this has to be my favorite drink. Also, service is awesome. My friends & I had to wait for the boba to fully cook & they gave us complimentary red velvet cookies for waiting. This place has top notch boba & they really take their customers into consideration. Love love love love this place!

I'm on a mission to drink up every bubble tea place in Rockville and Yocake was next on my list. I thought this it was unique that they combined froyo, cupcakes, and bubble tea. A perfect trio. We spent a while eyeing all the pretty cupcakes. I'm a sucker for unique flavors, so I picked out the vietnamese coffee flavored cupcake. I went with my usual black milk tea, half sweetened with boba. My boyfriend got the plain tart yogurt (he's a simpleton). The taste of the tea was good, but a little lukewarm for my taste. I asked the lady worker for more ice and which she did and she kindly told me that she doesn't put much in so the tea wouldn't be watered down. The cupcake was very delicious! It had a delicious coffee cake with condensed milk flavored icing. A little pricey for the size, but where else would I find a vietnamese coffee cupcake? The icing was delicious and I love that authentic homemade taste. I definitely wanna come back to try out the other cupcake flavors.

Plain old regular bubble tea will never be the same again after trying the bubble tea here. I was able to try the regular milk and the green tea and both were pretty good. The green tea was different (in a very good way), it was lighter than I'm used to and was very refreshing with a hint of Jasmine. I've never had custard in my bubble tea and now I can't imagine my bubble tea without it. They also cook/soak their bubbles in honey! The bubbles are also added to your drink while still warm which is very different but something I enjoyed. They offer 2 sizes, large and jumbo. The large is definitely plenty for one person but if you want to be greedy go for the jumbo. Haha.

If you are a bubble tea / boba enthusiast, LOOK NO FURTHER! Literally the best on the market that I have found thus far. The black milk tea is full of flavor, the boba itself is cooked very well and actually has a nice flavor to it, and the custard that they use is absolutely amazing! Next time, I'm definitely getting the Jumbo size! Totally worth the $6 I'll be paying! The customer service was great! Very friendly! The only thing I found somewhat "intimidating" was the amount of choices you can make. Cupcake flavors, froyo flavors, toppings, drinks types and flavors, it's amazing! I don't understand how I've never found or heard of this place before! And I think the yogurt and cupcake idea is phenomenal! Might have to try that next time as well.

It was late evening-ish on a Sunday - my friends and I had gotten dinner together at Temari Cafe in Rockville and were looking to find a good dessert place within walkable to minimal-driving distance. I was craving bubble tea (nothing new there :P) and a quick search pointed us to Yocake - a few blocks down from Temari. So off we went! We walked into a clean, simple shop with decor typical of most froyo places. Yocake sells froyo, cupcakes, bubble tea/smoothies, and their namesake - the froyo/cupcake combo-specialty. Unlike most froyo places (which tend to be self-serve), everything is placed behind counters so you order the flavors/sizes you want and then the cashier will ring you up at the front. Seemed to have a pretty decent selection of froyo flavors and the usual fruit/misc. toppings as well. Their cupcakes also came in numerous flavors - vanilla, red velvet, oreo, etc. and were so cute and dainty! I was more interested in the bubble teas though :D, and ordered a passionfruit milk tea in a cup that was arguably the size of my head (their 'jumbo' size huehue). Since it was a Sunday night, it didn't take long for orders to come out (the shop was basically empty save for us), yay! Pretty good consistency - not as smooth as I'm used to from other bbtea places but could definitely taste hints of tea, and the milk & passionfruit flavors really stuck out, au naturel~. Tasted like they used a larger ratio of natural ingredients, as opposed to the usual milk tea powders, which I'm guessing contributed to the consistency and was a pleasant surprise. Their bubbles were also sweetened with honey, so I was a happy camper C: Some of my friends ordered the froyo/cupcake combos and seemed to enjoy what they got. I also got to try another friend's mango/passionfruit smoothie - just the right amount of juice/fruit to icy slush ratio and had such a wonderful fresh and tarty taste. Looks like I'll be switching off between this place and Jumbo Jumbo (my usual fave) whenever I'm in Rockville and looking to satisfy my bbtea fix! P.S. If you save your receipt, you can get 10% off of your next purchase!

Disclaimer: This review is based solely on the bubble tea- the cupcakes do not appeal to me at all. Heard good things about the bt so had to try it for myself and was surprisingly pleased. Took my first sip and enjoyed the warm and sweet honey boba. They also have pudding there, which I tried and liked too. Price is comparable to Jumbo Jumbo but the black milk tea is slightly edged by Jumbo Jumbos.Yo cake was really good the first time but has been inconsistent lately (I think I've gone 5 times in a week- don't judge) with the milk tea being watered down and the boba being mushy as of late. Jumbo Jumbo is like a Honda- very reliable but expensive for what it is and sometimes makes you want to try other things because you're bored. Yo Cake is like a BMW, it's talks a good talk and impresses at first, but might not be as reliable in the long run.

I mean... their specialty is a cupcake with frozen yogurt all over it, so that's what I decided to try. I'd recommend getting the cake better frozen yogurt, because the flavor goes really well with whatever cupcake you're going to get. Don't get a yogurt that's too light, otherwise you may be disappointed. I got that on top of a chocolate cupcake, and it was pretty good.

I've only tried their bubble teas both times I stopped by but I'm a big fan of the taro with taro pudding! Of all the bubble tea places I've tried this is the only one that has taro pudding and its delicious! I haven't tried their other flavors so not sure of the tea quality they use for their other flavors but my parents really liked their lychee and green tea drinks too. I wouldn't say its in my list of top bubble tea places in the area but I do crave the taro milk tea with taro pudding so it's worth stopping by if you want some innovative add-ons like lychee bubbles!

Never tried the cupcakes or froyo, but man the bubble tea slush drinks are good! They are the only place that offers the newest boba drinks that are popular on the west coast! Try the milk tea slush with honey bubbles!!!

I love the cupcakes! I did not try to "yo-cake" but I did try the cupcakes and bubble tea and frozen yogurt separately. The cupcakes I like better than Georgetown Cupcakes, the boba was delicious and they made an awesome strawberry passionfruit boba for me that used real fruit (though frozen). My only complaint was that there was only one person working and there were a lot of customers that came in immediately after us and thus our order, though delicious, was wrong. Wrong size, wrong jelly in the bubble tea. Still I would come back again- mostly for the bubble tea. The fact they use real fruit, the unique types of jelly and flavor combinations they have make it an excellent boba place.

Meh. In the market of overpriced cupcakes, I've had better. I've had several of their cupcakes now and the cake part is consistently on the dry side and ordinary. The icing is fine but isn't that deep silky delight that some cupcakes deliver. The ones I do like are the filled cupcakes, like the German Chocolate which has a rich creamy center. The ganache filled ones do not...they just have a small squirt of non-creamy chocolate that is nothing special. They have a lot of varieties which is nice and you can get 6 for the price of 5. The cupcakes cost $2.75 each. I think they're worth $1.50. I have not tried the yogurt, though, which may be fine. They also specialize in a "yocake" which is yogurt on top of your choice of cupcake. That'd probably be pretty good. Service is friendly. Place is clean.

My gf and I went here 2xs in 1 week haha a friend recommended it, and we loved it. The service is excellent, the store is organized and very clean. The menu for drinks can be a bit overwhelming but the manager was very helpful. We ordered iced milk slush/Thai tea/iced coffee w/ add ons: grass jelly, custard, and honey bubbles. Each add on is like .50 each but well worth it. We also had the red velvet cupcake, which was delicious. Not too heavy or sweet, really light and rich. My only complaint, is that both times walking in...the temperature of the store was a bit hot. Other than that, I would recommend it and definitely come back.

I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed by their Yocakes. A cupcake topped with yogurt which can then be topped with more toppings...who can resist! They have quite a few cupcakes to choose from, so I generally spend a few minutes starring at them deciding which one I want to eat. So far I've tried the red velvet, dark velvet (which is the same as the red velvet, but with chocolate butter cream frosting instead of the vanilla cream cheese frosting), and the amaretto. Since I've never had them without the yogurt on top, I can't attest to their dryness. But if you do find them dry, that's easily solved by placing yogurt on top! Out of the three that I've tried, my favorite is the dark velvet. Can't decide on a yogurt? Try them all! I believe they have six at a time. I enjoy the acai berry tart and chocolate flavors the most. I usually skip the toppings, but they have tons to choose from (both cold and dry). You can now even add popping bubbles to your yogurt or yocake! Staff are always pleasant and seem to enjoy what they do. The store is always clean and they have a several tables for everyone to enjoy their treats. BTW I'm already looking forward to going back and trying their yokie (frozen yogurt sandwiched between two cookies), yoshakes, and iced milk slush teas.

I got two cupcakes, one was vanilla based and another was chocolate based. The chocolate was so moist and delicious but sadly the vanilla was dry and lacked flavor. As for the bubble tea, it's disappointing for the area. I got regular black milk tea and it lacked milk strong milk flavor. The bubbles were soggy and the custard didn't have flavor. The girl behind the counter was nice and I want to like the place but the taste is not up to standard for the area.

Well...let me start off by saying I'm pretty freaking picky when it comes to frozen yogurt, cupcakes, and bubble tea (boba for us West Coasters =P). I've also gone to a plethora of establishments that specialize in the aforementioned delicacies and have established my favorites and what I feel are quality representatives of specialized deliciousness. That said, I found YoCake to be "alright." Disclaimer: I have NOT yet tried their signature "yocake" so my review may be premature, but I didn't particularly fall in LOVE with the place/products. I have enjoyed the cupcakes. Not the greatest on earth, but very moist and decent enough especially for the Rockville (or even Montgomery County) area. Something that caught my attention the other day, though, was that they sell iced milk drinks (with custard and honey boba)!!!! As a Californian completely addicted to Half & Half (tea house that specializes in aforementioned beverages), I was ECSTATIC to a) see this as an offering and b) try it. Overall impression (compared to Half & Half): it was pretty good. The custard was PERFECT. Honey boba was soft, but a little too sweet (might have been a fluke? Will have to try again). Iced milk drink was too slushy for me and not creamy enough. Alas, it kind of satisfied my craving, but didn't hit the mark of blissful perfection.

Save your receipt and get 10% off! My favorite cupcakes. Not to sweet frosting and moist cake part. All you need. The red velvet is my favorite. Their chocolate cupcakes are good too, dark but not too too heavy/rich. Keep it simple and just stick with their cupcakes.

I cannot believe this place has decent reviews. Based on the reviews I decided to try out this place and man was I disappointed. My sister in law loves cupcakes and fro yo. So what could be better than both? I brought in my sister, niece and nephew for dessert one Friday night. We walked into the establishment to see no one else there. Not being busy on a Friday night should had been enough of a sign to warn me. I will say... the service here is very good. The man behind the counter who seemed to either be a manager or the owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. He explained the flavors and walked us through each cupcake. The kids decided to get a fro yo with the cupcake on the side. My sister did the cupcake and fro yo combination sundae. I just ordered fro yo. The kids thought their fro yo was okay, but didn't eat their cupcakes after one bite. She was disappointed and ended up throwing most of it out before we left. All I ordered was the tart original with 3 toppings - jellies, mochi and strawberry. The other fruit was browning and not very fresh. The mochi was disgusting. It was gritty and mushy. It didn't have that delicate chewy consistency that I love. In fact, my entire dessert tasted sour and not a good tart kind of way, but as in old. The cupcakes are nothing like some of the other establishments that actually know and spend time on their cupcakes. The reviews that say otherwise are very misleading. These cupcakes are very dry and really sweet and processed tasting, these are clearly boxed cupcakes. I let the employees know my dessert didn't taste right, and they gave me a discount, instead of charging me for 3 toppings, they just charged for 1. But while they provided me with the discount, they also argued with me about the mochi and implied that I didn't know what real fresh mochi tasted like. And trust me.... this girl has loved mochi since the wee age of 3, I know what it is very very well ;) The prices are high. For the quality you get - it's not worth it. Also, they charge fro yo per topping which is a little outrageous. For 4 of us I paid $25 and we all ended up throwing it all out. This place is not quality frozen yogurt or cupcakes. It's clear that they used boxed ingredients which I think is why they encourage to combine it with the yogurt. I would never suggest this place to anyone. I woke up later that night to severe stomach cramps. I'm definitely sticking to the ones I know!

I had the black milk tea with honey bubbles, yogurt pudding and grass jelly. Awesome combo. The honey bubbles are soaked in honey.. I've never had anything like it before. It's pretty darn good! Service as well was good. It can get pretty expensive depending on how many toppings you add ($.50 each). Parking can be difficult since they share a small parking lot with Pho Nom Nom and East Pearl.

If you're from CA and like Tea Station, you won't be disappointed here. Excellent bubble teas that are only served at this YoCake location. There are milk teas, gourmet brewed teas, slush versions of the milk teas, milkshakes, and smoothies. In addition, you can opt for add-ons, such as honey bubbles (tapioca pearls cooked in honey), custard pudding, taro pudding, grass jelly, rainbow jelly, and various popping bubbles. There are also two sizes you can order: large and jumbo, which is practically a bucket. I ordered two jumbo-sized bubble teas with add-ons: (1) black milk tea with honey bubbles, grass jelly, and custard pudding and (2) green milk tea with honey bubbles, grass jelly, and taro pudding. I loved both, but the green milk tea was my absolute favorite since I could taste the strong green tea despite the milk and creamy add-ons. The tapioca pearls are soft and stay soft post-refrigeration. I cannot say the same for Jumbo Jumbo's as they were rock solid after 8 hours of refrigeration. I am addicted to this stuff and will be back to try other flavor combinations (practically endless).

On a quest to find the best bubble tea I stumbled upon this place. I like the fact that they carry a jumbo cup that is the size of a to-go soup container. The large is 3.99 and the jumbo is 4.99. Definitely worth the extra dollar. Especially since im driving from Virginia. The milk tea is ok, not that great. I will say the taro actually has real taro chunks in there. That was a little different. My boyfriend didnt like the texture though. The coffee is a good balance, not too bitter not too sweet. Reminds me of the korean coffee like they give you at honey pig.Dont get that in a jumbo unless you want to be wired. I really like the fruit green teas here. They have a perfect balance of green tea flavor and fruit coming through. You can actually taste the green tea and the fruit. They dont over power each other. The honey bubbles are ok. A little on the soggy side compared to other places. I opt for the rainbow jelly here. Each topping is an additional .50. They also have a huge assortment of cupcakes. We got a box of 6. I think it was buy 5 get 1 free. They were good. Even some really neat flavor options such as strawberry cheesecake, green tea, strawberry coconut. I stuck them in the fridge for 2 days and they were still moist. Definitely worth a try since they weren't too expensive also u can use the check in deal for this or if you have a receipt from a previous visit they'll give you 10% off.

Love the premise and the Yocake was delicious. I tried the triple chocolate cupcake with the red velvet frozen yogurt. On the negative side, the prices were high for plain frozen yogurt and the toppings were $.99 each. With so many great and affordable fro-yo places around, I'm not sure Yocake is worth returning for.

Now they've added bubble tea to their already great froyo and cupcakes. I tried their ice slush milk bubble tea with added honey bubbles and custard pudding. It was one of the best bubble teas I've had. The bubbles come hot and it threw me off at first, but they were really fresh and chewy. The custard pudding adds extra texture and flavor to the bubble tea. Its subtle sweetness compliments the cool refreshing bubble tea very nicely. The owner let us try the coffee jelly and they were surprisingly good with the bubble tea. If you're a coffee lover like me, you should definitely give it a try unless you're having a fruity bubble tea. I wanna come back next time and try taro bubble tea with taro pudding! I've had red velvet cupcake and the tart froyo yocake special before and they were very delicious. The cupcake was moist and the froyo was tart and not as sweet which I liked.

Being from California I'm always on the hunt for the best bubble tea in the area. I've tried a lot and I have to say there hasn't been a place that has got it right. I am finally satisfied and so happy I have found the best place for bubble tea. Not only is it just plain and simple boba. There are other options such as adding pudding and with slushie!!!!! I discovered this mix out in LA when visiting my family out there and it seemed a by weird at first but I am hooked. I was so excited to discover that yocake offered such a particular drink. I ordered a jumbo size and my son and I finished the entire drink on the way home. (We do live 20 minutes away) what makes this bubble tea place different is that the boba is soaked in delicious honey. The two paired together is just harmonious. Customer service was super nice too. Super friendly!! :) I will definitely be coming back for more.

They sure spend a lot of time making their cupcakes look pretty here just to have them covered by yogurt in a cup to create a Yocake. Because, honestly, one without the other at this place just isn't as good. Their cupcakes are a bit on the small side, although decadently sweet. And their yogurt is a bit on the tart side. But mixed together, oh my goodness! The cupcake frosting is of just the right consistency that when it's mixed with yogurt, the freezing effect makes it into little pieces of candy at the bottom of each spoonful of yogurt. And the cake of their cupcakes has a lot of holes in it (if I were more scientifically minded, I'd look up the actual word for this). So the delicious frozen yogurt seeps into every nook and cranny making for a melty, milky, cakey treat in each bite of this part of the concoction. Toppings? Who even needs them on the delicious Frankenstein monster of a cupcake covered in yogurt? But for people who want to be healthy, or whatever, they have all sorts of fruits. And fruit sprinkles for the sane people. I mean, I guess this is low fat yogurt place so maybe some people want to eat well here. Personally, I get their delicious Strawberry Bliss cupcake covered in Cake Batter yogurt. It's a bit pricey and a bit small. But every bite is absolute fat making totally adorable amazement on my tongue!

Cupcake AND FroYo in one?! I am a huge fan of Georgetown Cupcake but YoCAKE hit the nail on the head with this one. Their cupcakes are okayyyyyyyyyyyy but the fact that you can get the froyo and toppings on top of the cupcakes makes it delicious.

  • Lia M.

The idea sounds good--frozen yogurt over a cupcake. Not healthy, but tasty. However, I am unimpressed. The froyo was actually decent--I had the cookies and cream over a strawberry cupcake. But the cupcake was dry and the frosting overly sweet. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. However, there's not much seating and the shop was freezing. I'd not return because you can better froyo elsewhere.

  • Pat R.

Why have I not thought of this before?!? The formula is so simple: Cupcake + Froyo = Happy Pat! For the sake of scientific research I ordered a Yocake and a pair of cupcakes. (don't judge its for science!) Analysis: Cupcake: The cupcakes by themselves were nothing really extraordinary by themselves and were a little on the dry side. I would assume that this is by design because with the cupcake being at the bottom of Yocake, a soft cake could get lost in the much right? Instead it becomes a almost like a topping BUT its not a topping since its at the bottom of the cup (mind blown) Well that's my hypothesis and I'm sticking to it! Froyo: My tired and true theory for testing out froyo joints is very basic: it starts with the tart. It their tart is garbage then it may be safe to assume that the flavored ones will follow suit. Their tart was actually tart! Nom nom! I also tried the pomegranate/raspberry flavor too which was also very good. It tasted almost like a berry fulfilling smoothie from Jamba Juice They had a decent selection of toppings. I was uber impressed that they had mochi bits and in several flavors however they were pretty pricey.. On a side note: This place shares a parking lot with a Chinese restaurant so beware of the stereotypical awesome Chinese drivers.

  • Joe C.

Damn you, Yocake. Why do you have to be so good? Why do you have to be so close to our house? Unlike the rest of the new FroYo places popping up everywhere, this is NOT a self-serve, pay by the ounce place. You'll end up paying a little (ok, maybe a lot) more than for the same amount of yogurt and toppings than you would at one of those places - but for quality like this, I'm absolutely fine with that. Mostly. You can go simple with your basic frozen yogurt. They offer about 8 different flavors and they all tasted decent. We've had the cookies and cream, tart green tea and tart flavors. All were excellent, though the cookies and cream has been my favorite of the three. You can go simple with their macaroons: traditional french or coconut. They're a little expensive at about $1.30 each considering how tiny they are, but my wife gushed over hers. You can go simple with their cupcakes. The selection changes every day. I tried the chocolate chocolate one and found it to be delicious. I'll admit that it wasn't the moistest thing around (I wouldn't go so far as to call it dry either), but that's why you go with... The Yocake: pick a cupcake and then layer on the frozen yogurt of your choice. The combination of the chocolate chocolate with the cookies & cream frozen yogurt? Hell. Yes. So... complaints. Really, just one complaint: toppings are expensive. As you increase the number of toppings, they get cheaper, but there is no consideration for which toppings you select. Choose your frozen yogurt and you just want some sprinkles? That's a dollar for half a cent worth of sprinkles. Or a dollar for some fresh fruit. Get clever; pick a cupcake with a topping on it and then layer on your yogurt. Damn. Now I want some more Yocake.

The Taro Cupcake was delicious! They have a black sesame one too! I liked the red bean smoothie with the warm bubbles. Definitely must come back to try the signature cupcake/frozen yogurt treat that gives this place its name.

This review is for the bubble tea. The cupcakes looked very pretty but we haven't tried the cupcakes yet. The bubble tea is very good -- the tapioca has actual flavor along with the chewy texture. The mango tea contained pureed mango so the drink stayed thick even after some time passed. Plus it tasted great! The red bean bubble tea was also very good and tasted "home-made" and not from a powder. But -- the real kicker was the cookies and cream bubble tea. It's not really a tea but a cookies and cream frozen yogurt milkshake with bubbles on the bottom. This was simply fantastic if you're a fan of cookies and cream! Eventually, I'll get around to trying a cupcake but for now - I do enjoy the bubble tea drinks.

Hello honey bubbles! My friend recommended the black milk tea with honey bubbles and custard (#2) so that's exactly what I ordered. First, let me begin by saying the older man that works there is super cute. He took our orders and I'd go back just because he was really friendly. (Save your receipt, it'll save you 10% on your next visit). As far my boba tea order. There are only two sizes: large and jumbo. I ordered the large...which is a lot. and would be good for sharing. The black tea itself isn't that sweet...but the honey bubbles..Mmmm! I didn't care so much for the custard. It didn't have much flavor and was more an added texture to the drink.

I'm updating my review to 3.75 after coming for a second visit. The owner contacted me to offer an opportunity to try their signature yocake and I read on some reviews that they now have French macacroons. Being a huge fan of macaroons, and not having access to them here in Rockville, that was enough reason for me to go back. This time the person working the counter was very curteous, he explained to me which cupcakes he would recommend and what was in the various macaroons. I opted for the lemon cupcake with regular tart frozen yogurt, and 4 macaroons (lavender, strawberry, red velvet, and pistachio). He didn't charge me for the cupcake, and the macaroons came out to about $5. Unfortunately, I just didn't care for the cupcake combination. The cake was crumbly and dry, the frosting was still too sweet, and the frozen yogurt a little bland. The macaroons were pretty good- and I'll definitely be coming back to try the other flavors. I'll come here to get my fix when I don't feel like trekking to Bethesda. As I was leaving, the person working there said the owner offered for me to take a few cupcakes home on the house. That was extremely generous of him. As he was talking to me, my co-worker said hi to me (I'm oblivious and didn't even see her at first). I declined the cupcakes (because I'm on weight watchers and I had to starve myself all day to eat the treats :/) but I asked the person working there if he could give them the cupcakes instead. I left before they did, so I guess I'll find out tomorrow if he did- and what they thought of the cupcakes. So, for cupcakes, I don't think I'll be going here in the future, but for macaroons, i definitely will be back. Perhaps next time I'll get a coffee to go with it.

I got the yocupcake (cupcake on the bottom, froyo on top) and it was yummy! But it took us about 15 minutes to get that far. When we walked in there was a family in front of us and two women sitting at a table, but no one behind the counter. The cupcake options will satisfy all, but make sure you go relatively early to get your full choice of flavors as they sell out. I did a swirl of cookies and cream and cake batter which was good! I was bummed out that it cost a dollar for 1 topping. I can't bring myself to pay a dollar for sprinkles. Seating was limited inside and there isn't any outdoor seating available. Parking was a nightmare!

I've only had the black milk tea w/ honey bubbles and custard pudding, but that's I really need to give this place a 5. Best bubble tea I've had hands down in the DC area. Honey bubbles are key so never go with out it!! They recently started serving black sesame milk tea too, which I've heard is amazing as well. Skip the other places on 355 and just come here!

Went back and out of the blue, I mentioned my issue about the dry cupcakes to the cashier .. . you know to help them make their goods better if possible. So he explained to me that it's because they are baked in the mornings and that it was because I came in to get one later in the day (I came in at night at the time). Also that Red Velvet cupcakes are known to dry faster than others-but my mother bakes Red Velvet cupcakes and they've been quite moist despite a few days going by so I'm not really sold on that part of the explanation. However, I guess I can see why that could happen as some fresh breads do harden after a day or two (but that's a little beside the point since they do bake their cupcakes fresh on the daily). In the future if I plan on getting cupcakes here, I'd go early in the morning to get them fresh. But to end my update in a positive light, the cashier did give me a free fresh-out-of-the-oven cupcake during that visit and sure enough, it was moist!

Great cupcakes! My husband and I found this little gem by accident. We've been living in Rockville for several years and are always looking for something "sweet" after dinner. We decided to try Yocake and were pleasantly surprised! The cupcakes are the perfect size and are delicious! I had the dark velvet cupcake which was fantastic. He had the candy bar cupcake which was equally as good. The lady behind the counter was simply delightful! Yes, we found pry after dinner spot!

Smooth frozen yogurt and moist cupcakes with amazing frosting. My favorite is the original tart. I like how it's smooth in texture (not icy like some other places) and how it's tarty but with the right amount of sweetness. Another plus is the assortment of mochi toppings - I looove mochi. My favorites are Vanilla Vanilla and Red Velvet. The cupcakes are moist (which I like), but my favorite part is the vanilla frosting - creamy and sweet, but not too sweet (hard to explain). Both the Vanilla Vanilla and Red Velvet have that same frosting. I typically do not like strawberry desserts, but the strawberry cupcake is amazingly fresh and moist - surprisingly, also one of my top picks.

I came in here to try the yogurt but before buying had to sample first. It left a weird after taste so I just bought a cupcake. I got the vanilla vanilla cupcake which was pretty good. I usually don't indulge in sweets. I really wanted to try a macaroon but they don't sell them anymore. Its a cute spot maybe for a first date. James who was working was very friendly, he let me sample 3 different types of yogurts, and explained they don't add sugar to the yogurt and that may explain the after taste.

The cupcakes here are just as good as the other ones made famous by some tv show. The staff here are lot more friendlier as well. Never had to wait (of course it's in Rockville...)
