Well, don't I feel dum-b? I work near the Rio Soul Sucking Shopping Plex and for years I've been wishing there was a little deli near by. NOT a Subway or a PotBelly. A REAL deli. The kind of place where you can get a sandwich, or maybe some cookies, or candy, or perhaps some juice. Did I mention the candy? Well, it turns out there is too such a place near by, but I didn't know about it until I attended a meeting at the JHU campus last week. I'm glad I found it.. I got a sandwich with avocado and they actually use sizable pieces of avocado, not a smear of avocadoish paste or slices cut paper thin. This is a rare thing in a sandwich shop and for that alone they deserve your patronage. (I think there was a tiramisu in there as well, but I really like tiramisu so maybe I hallucinated that.)

I have tried the p11 (roast beef with sun dried tomato pesto) and p9 (Cajun chicken) panini here and it was delicious!! I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches.

Does anyone else have those strong urges for bubble tea sometimes like I do? I've always passed by this little cafe and wondered what exactly they serve and the answer is everything. From sandwiches to wraps to sweets to little nibbles to the almighty bubble tea! Finding macarons (yes that's spelled right) in this area is extremely hard so I was really excited when I saw them here but alas, I had none :( They also do serve fro-yo but it's seasonal and isn't available at the moment. So, needing a bubble tea fix asap I ordered two thai bubble tea's, and one black milk tea and was a smidge disappointed. I normally like my bubble tea to be sweet and this wasn't quite there. It wasn't bad but it didn't satisfy my craving. The bubbles have a good consistency but again, didn't quite do it for me. The Thai tea didn't have that unique taste to it so I'd go for something else. Three tea's cost ~13 which seemed a tad bit much to me considering the size :/ That being said, I'll be back to try other things!

This place is confusing as all get out when you walk in the door, but worth it to push through and focus on what you want. Soups - this is all I've really had in recent memory but they are always wonderful. I've been meaning to inquire as to if they are made from scratch - I'm thinking they are. Just finished the Chicken Enchilada and am very happy.

What kind of place is West Wing Cafe? Well- it seems like a little of everything. Savory Options: - It's a sandwich shop that has about 20 different unique varieties to choose from made from Boar's Head meat. - You can also grab yourself some soup in the back - Chips galore, and not of the standard Doritos variety Finished your lunch and looking for a sweet balance? How about Bubble Tea, Froyo and gourmet desserts? I ordered the Black Milk Bubble Tea. The bubbles were perfectly chewy and sweet. The milk tea has good Black tea flavor but was WAY too sweet. When I got back to my office, I added almost a cup of cold water and it was still too sweet (for me). Next time I will ask for it half sweet. I sampled the Tart and Taro froyo, they also had mango, salted caramel, acai, and one other flavor. Both of them were fantastic- especially the Taro- I would eat that with mochi alone- and it had the best after taste! (They have the kind of mochi I love.) Unfortunately, the selection of toppings is limited, but considering they are not trying to be a "froyo joint" it's great. The desserts looks awesome, the problem was- there were pretty much no signs labeling what anything was. Also, there were no prices for anything not on the main sign, so the fruit, yogurt, milk, pre-made sandwiches, desserts etc- you have no clue how much it will be until they ring you up. You also have no idea what is in any of the desserts which is a problem if you have allergies. They also had some cool looking nu-pies and other non-refriderated desserts and cookies in kiosks like the chips. This brings me to a problem they have- the layout is very weird. You go left to get a sandwich, if you want a soup- you cross all the way to the other side on the back, then if you want chips, you wander amogst the diners, and if you want froyo you cross again to the other corner next to the cash register, and back again to get the toppings. Then because they are a little slow at the cash register, your froyo begins to melt before you can pay. And then as you wait a rather long time for your sandwich to be made, you end up eating your froyo first.... Anyway, they are clearly still working out some kinks but the roast beef jalapeno spinach wrap I got was delicious and filling. Next time I will ask them to press it in the panini machine too. I don't drink coffee, but they seem to have a barrista set up. The cost for 2 wraps and a bubble tea was $19. I'll definitely be back.

The sandwiches are okay but nothing to write home about. I find the ratio of bread to filling too high and they are not particularly flavorful but not terrible either. I've never had any of the pastries because I think they all look somewhat artificial and like they've been sitting out for a while. The cafe options are fine but they have limited milk selection (only skim and 2 percent). Some times I go there for lunch to mix things up but I generally prefer Freshii next door.

Finally a place that has everything I was missing from Starbucks. Excellent breakfast menu including omelettes and French toast, I can get a soda, along w a large selection of snacks....oh yeah, lots of coffee too.

I've tried this place several times, since it is across the street from where I work. In the beginning, I thought that they just needed to work the kinks out, but I've given up. The food is ok. Not great, but ok. Decent sandwiches, I've tried them for both breakfast and lunch. Not great, not terrible. They have a make-it-yourself fresh orange juice station, which I love. But here's the problem. The service is a disaster. You walk in, and it's not clear where to go to order. I'm not sure the staff knows. Sometimes there's a line to order at the deli, sometimes you order from the cash register, sometimes people skip the line at the deli and order from the cash register, and the staff seems fine with that. Then they scribble your order on a piece of paper, which eventually makes it to the back or the deli side. 3/5 times they've gotten at least one item in our order wrong. Today I walked in to get a bagel, and there was a staff member cleaning off tables. No one else in sight. I walked up to the cash register and waited. And waited. She said hello (so she saw me!), she kept cleaning, no one came out. After about five minutes she walked behind the cash register and asked if I needed something. Because maybe I'm standing here just to hang out! I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. She wrote it down, then took the next person's order (a line had formed by this time), and after taking three people's orders, she took the slips in the back. Someone from the back brought out my toasted and cut bagel. But they didn't finish the order, they gave it to the woman at the cash register (who needed a few minutes because she was serving customers). Then she had to put on gloves, apply the cream cheese, and wrap it and give it to me. So inefficient. On top of that, the bagel was barely warmed, not toasted, and she put about a teaspoon of cream cheese on the whole thing. So it was mostly just a room temperature bagel. If you can stand the service, fine. But if they don't figure it out, I don't think I can go back. Freshii and a Japanese place are also right there, and the food and service are much better.

Still new and I may update my review later but, I have tried this place a few times and haven't been impressed really, at all. I think there is just way too much going on in here but nothing is really amazing (that I've tried so far). The best thing I've had here is a latte and the regular tart froyo is good! Will report back if anything changes.

Had a great sandwich here....portabella mushroom panini sandwich at a reasonable price... $7. I look forward to trying other sandwiches but it will be hard not to reorder the same thing.

This place must be run by the same folks who run Congress because its a hot freaking mess. Ordering a sandwich during the lunch rush is like being a virgin cockblocked by his best friend on prom night - basically its frustrating as hell! Where do you order - at the register, by the dessert station, by the sandwich makers? Who knows? Good luck trying to figure it all out. They make Subway next door look like a model of efficiency!!!!!!!!! (Yes, thats a lot of exclamation points because its true.) On the plus side, the sandwiches are decent, they have froyo with different flavors and toppings, and bubble teas. On the bad side, froyo and bubble tea are overpriced, but you pay for the convenience to get fat. It's been months since they've been open, and if they could only get their act together on service, this place would be golden. Since I work across the street, there's enough here to have variety to go every day. Unfortunately, I prefer mayo and ketchup during lunch, not frustration and disorganization.

I work a couple of minutes away and wanted to try a different place to grab lunch. I saw they had a cajun chicken panini on their website, so I decided to give them a try. Upon arriving, I was impressed with the inside decor, it lends itself to a nice atmosphere to enjoy a sit-down lunch with a coworker. Service was decent. I ordered the cajun chicken panini as well as their Maryland crab soup. As far as the soup, I wasn't super impressed. It's not what I was expecting. It tasted more like vegetable soup with bits of crab meat in it. The cajun chicken panini was delicious and tasted fresh! I will definitely come back for lunch.

I love this place. The sandwiches are great, their service is good and love the bubble tea. I have recommended them to my co-workers. I work pretty close by so its my go-to lunch spot.
