This place is worse than the one star I give it. I saw on the menu Lomo Saltado, which is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes. I decided to order that. I called it in and picked up my order with minimal wait time. Off to a good start. When I sat down to eat my food, the styrofoam container had melted holes in it like it had been reheated in a microwave. Even on the bottom, which caused leakage on the table. The food was terribly bland and not authentically seasoned. Not even close to the dish I was so looking forward to tasting. The rice was mushy and crunchy. How do you mess up rice? Everything lacked flavor. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I had a coupon so I went there. It wasn't bad! I was expecting so much worse because the yelp average gave it 1.5 stars! The wait staff was courteous and they seemed to be on the ball. I ordered the Dos Burritos (one chicken, one beef). My kids had the Cheese Quesadillas. For an appetizer, we had the queso. Dos Burriros - the Beef burrito was better than the chicken one. It was pretty good! And I think it was only $10. No real complaints. It was a lot of food. The Cheese quesadillas were just fine. the Queso was ok but got mealy after it got cold. I can live with that. Real cheese does that sometimes. I'm glad they don't use the fake me out 7-11 cheese... which is more plastic than cheese. The atmosphere was nice. There was someone selling silver jewelry on one side. It looks like they were set up for karaoke. There's a few things that I think management should address: - Employees walking through the dining room from the kitchen should wear a shirt before entering the dining area. The dude with the wife beater walking back and forth was a little out of place. - The lemonade was pure sugar water and very little lemon. my kids love sugar but hated this. They never hate sugar. Fortunately, they were happy drinking water. - Please... dear lord... fix the bathroom. It was foul in there. Nothing about this place was overwhelmingly awesome. But I still had a good time. I would go here again. Three stars for being average.

If this place were to strive for mediocrity they could probably attain it - however mediocre is probably a much more lofty ambition than their current goals. To start, the salsa was watery and when I asked the server for a hot version she suggested that I add some of the Louisiana Crystal hot sauce that was on the table. That stuff is great for adding some kick to jambalaya, not so great for salsa. (What kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't have Cholula?) Our order of chili con queso came out as melted cheddar cheese which was okay at first but got really gross really fast as it cooled. The fajitas I ordered were not horrible but decidedly lackluster. The final coffin nail was the karaoke. The DJ was the only one participating and he sang pretty well but all of the songs sounded like Spanish circus music. The vinyl tablecloths were kind of sticky and the thought of drinking from the water glass that was turned upside down on it was repulsive. I probably won't eat here ever again.

Not bad Mexican for DC area. It isn't amazing but one of the better places I've tried. Their salsa was good. Enchiladas were not bad. I think they have a band there sometimes.

Went there with friends for a birthday dinner. And it was good . they had kareoke, great music even house music ... Also any song u requested he would put it even if it was Arabic or frenxh. You could have also sung along. The food was amazing except my salad was a bit dry I didn't have dressing in it. But other than that it was great restaurant

I feel I'm a sucker or stupid because normally I would NEVER dare eat at a place that has only one star review. Yes, I did Yelp it. Or shall I say I Yelped someplace else and actually ate here the whole time thinking it was that better-reviewed place. Chips and salsa were decent and my bistec encebollado was really pretty darn good. After I discovered my error I couldn't believe my sensitive stomach and I had ordered beef at a one star place but I'm doing just fine today. The decor was actually quite nice, in that it was very dark, AC worked well and there was soccer on one of the flat screens. It was about 100 degrees out yesterday and I was happy to pass some of it in this establishment.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
