Staff member David to so funny and patient ;) My more recent visits here have been perfect and the food order is always accurate. They don't rush me off of the drive-thru anymore, either.

I really like this taco bell. The staff is really friendly. Like insanely friendly and the place I'd ridiculously clean for a taco bell. Who the hell is running this place. I have only had a problem with one item. I took it back they were super nice apologized profusely and gave me a new mexican pizza. The line moves really fast. I've never waited long. The are always freakishly fast. Again who the hell is running this place? I consider myself a taco bell connoisseur and this one is at the top of my list.

Always clean even the bathroom!, staff always friendly and food is good. Management must be really good at this location. Have lived across the street from this location for 15 years and they have always been good.

Really only 4.5 stars, but gotta round up. So, I know I shouldn't eat Taco Bell, but I do. And of all the Taco Bells I've been to (don't really want to admit how many that is), this one is by far my favorite. It's clean, the staff is very friendly, and they've only messed up my order once (trust me, that's a very low percentage of screwing up). For some reason, there's almost never a wait in the drive thru. Which is good for me. Kind of feel like I shouldn't share this review if I want it to continue to be that way. The other thing I like is that the place is easy to get to. Driving on Rockville Pike is beyond annoying, but this place is on a "service road" so to speak, and you can enter it from several different spots on the Pike. So if you miss your first turn, don't worry, you can make the next one.

This taco bell is hit or miss. Some days the staff is awesome and does a great job of balancing the dining room and the drive up. Other days... well let's just say I once saw someone get a large drink at the drive up window, drink the whole thing as they (and we) waited and then get a refill while their food was still being prepared! While it is hit or miss, this location usually is able to do better than average.

  • Guy G.

I'm a huge Taco Bell fan. Upon moving to Rockville it was really depressing to learn the local one is terrible. Of the 20 or so times I've been here, they've not messed up my order twice. They have had a rude demeanor any time I'm visited after 10PM. If you're eating TBell, you probably don't have many choices - check your bag before you leave

Breakfast is great, store is clean, staff doesn't look like they'd rather be dead. Soda machine often has issues, but staff is willing to fill from the drive-thru fountain. Best Taco Bell in the area by leaps and bounds.

  • Benjamin G.

As with any Taco Bell, they always get the order wrong in the drive-through, and the dining area closes up earlier, so as to limit any personal interaction. Seriously, what is the deal with Taco Bell messing up over %50 of any given order? There must be some kind of fine print on the wrapper...or maybe that's why every wrapper has like 10 different items listed on it, in case you get the wrong thing. I've always suggested an iteration to people that when ordering anything at Taco Bell, "don't look, just eat", and I stick by this with this location also. It has the same general taste anyways, especially at the end, where they squirt out all the sour cream after the beef trough ends. Sometimes, you'll get something that's even better than expected. I should just order 3 items next time and see what they come up with. It appears hygienic, so I'll go there if I don't have anything frozen to chunk in the microwave, but it's not like the creme de la creme of Taco Bells by any means. On the other hand, it's the only place open at 2am, so when you're driving around drunk, or just unable to sleep late at night, just be glad to put something in your digestive tract this late at night before you go to bed and be glad it's not your shift here.

Fast food fast. Open until 2am Sun-Thurs. Open until 4am Fri-Sat. Best. Taco. Bell. Ever. Sometimes you are just NOT in the mood for McDonald's so where do you go? You make a run for the border, of course! Serious cheap eats. Can you spend $5 at the golden arches for a value meal? Not anymore. But you still can at Taco Bell. Think Box. Right now they have a Doritos Locos Gordito box which includes a Doritos Locos Gordito, a regular taco, a burrito supreme and a large drink. I think I also heard him mention a griller which is a wrapped bunch of meat and pressed on a grill. For $2.50 they also have little snack meals. A Gordito supreme, a bag of Doritos and a drink. Cheap eats. There is a new $1 menu with a quesadilla and bean burritos. If you want great Mexican food, you eat during regular business hours and frequent your favorite Mexican restaurant (Mi Rancho, Rosa's Mexicana) but when it is late at night and you crave shredded cheese, lettuce and sour cream, nothing beats Taco Bell. Your wallet thanks you too!

I transported myself back to my high school days for a brief moment to eat Taco Bell at 2:00 in the morning. Chicken Quesadilla- as good as it's always been aka amazing Bean Burrito- I'm not sure I remember eating this... might have been too... "tired" Shredded Chicken Burrito - this one actually surprised me- this was delicious! And I just had to The Purple Doritos Locos Taco- I guess if I was thirteen, I'd think this was great.. But I couldn't get over the unmasked dogmeat flavor. Not many places you can get 6 pounds of food for 10 dollars at 2:00AM. Thanks Taco Bell.

Yes, it's Taco Bell. But this is by far the cleanest, most accurate (even when you make substitutions or such) and most professional Taco Bell I've ever seen in my 24 years on earth (and I love Taco Bell).

I LOVE THIS TACO BELL. It's a bit of a trek for me, but I'll stop here when I need to make my trip to the Asian grocery shops just a little further up. OMGoodness, the customer service here is wonderful! The manager (I think?) was really sweet, really friendly, really helpful! And they're pretty good with the food (consistency) and have always gotten my order right. Crunchwrap supreme, Doritos Tacos ARE SO GOOD Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. LOVE THIS PLACE.

OMG the Mango Strawberry Fruistista Freeze is like that. The frozen mango had the consistency of a slurpee. It was topped with a sweet strawberry topping. I also tried the new Dorito taco. When you combine two of my favorite things (Doritos and taco meat) you cannot go wrong and Taco Hut (Taco Bell and Pizza Hut combo) knocked this creation on the ballpark. My tastebuds are still having a party.

As Taco Bells go, this is a pretty good one. They are going through some minor renovations right now but the service is still quick and friendly and my orders have always come out correct. A bonus is that this location is open until 3:00am on weekdays and 4:00am on Friday-Sunday.

Dorritos cool ranch locos tacos are awesome. The cantina bowl thing thats similar to chipotles is not worth it IMO. It cost about $1 less but you also get less then half a chipotle bowl. This taco bells indoor dining is open pretty late everyday I think, I stopped by at 11pm one night. The staff is all very friendly, and they even gave me a sample of the pina colda, too bad there wasn't any alcohol in it. They have some awesome deals (similar to $1 menu) . Can't leave without getting a CHULPA's which are my favorite!!!! The mango strawberry fruistista thing was awesome! Take that home add a shot of alcohol and your good to go!

One of the best things about this place is the order taker today, 1/20/12. He is OUTSTANDING! Easy smile, extremely polite and self-actualized. He is a dream employee that this Bell should be very happy to have!

Newly remodeled building on the inside and out. I was greeted by a cashier named David. He didn't seem to be motivated to be at work or to be working at Taco Bell. I observed a customer asking for lids for the medium cups. David gave the customer the whole bag of lids for the customer to go put himself at the drink station. It was not a busy part of the day. there was only me and another person in line. When I got my meal they were out of hot sauce and only had a few packets of mild sauce left. It was not stocked up. The garbage container by the door were full and used drink cups were left piled near the garbage. I was not impressed by the service of this Taco Bell. the remodeling is one thing but the customer service lacks the tenacity or the welcoming feeling to be dinning there.

When my sisters and I are left to our own devices, we cannot be held responsible for the choices we make when it comes to feeding ourselves, and last night, we decided on Taco Bell. (don't judge us, you know you've had similar moments of weakness!) Given our otherwise refined palates, we didn't go in expecting much other than some tummy troubles later, but oh man, did this hit the spot! We tried the new Doritos taco and it literally knocked our socks off! The Doritos shell is DELICIOUS! I can never eat a taco w/ an ordinary shell again - the flavor, the cheesy goodness - it was almost too much! Add a little fire sauce to this and we're talking nom-tastic! If you have yet to try the Doritos taco, get out from behind your desk, live a little, and get to your closest Taco Bell. While just one won't kill you, I guarantee you'll want seconds! We also ordered a steak taco and chicken taco - both of which were also rather satisfying once we added some of their verde sauce and fire sauce to both. Our 1 mistake was ordering the Nachos Bell Grande - it looked like it had been pre-made and had just been sitting there, with the beans hardened and the cheese on top a very strange consistency. Definitely ended up straight in the trash. Otherwise, this particular location is very clean. Like, spotless clean. The staff is friendly and patient, especially given the eccentric crowd that comes in here. Whether you go inside or the drive-thru, they are very fast and efficient and have never screwed up any of our orders. They are one of those Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combos, but we've never ordered anything from the Pizza Hut menu here.

  • Adam L.

As far as Taco Bell's go, this one is really consistent and tends to get the order right most of the time. The drive-thru staff is particularly cordial and nice. They have some Pizza Hut items but for the most part this is a 100% Taco Bell location. I'd give it a 5-star, but it's about time they updated the interior. It is still sporting the early 90s TB look.

Call me crazy but the staff here on a Sunday night are super nice! Missing one star just because the restaurant is a little run down and dirty. But such great people that are just as friendly as can be!

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
