First time here and the place was absolutely filthy. Trash all over the floors and dirty tables everywhere. Chicken was fine but coleslaw was like a mayonnaise soup with some cabbage. Might give it another try, maybe it was just a bad day.

Been waiting so long for Roy Rogers to come back and everything here was perfect! Yes, the spot isn't too large, but you can't blame them for the large consistent crowd. It's truly because they have a great product and service!

Oh Roy Rogers, how I love thee! It's about time they bring Roy Rogers back to this area! I visited this location during my lunch break. The parking lot is a little tight since there is construction going on next door and there are spots blocked off. Also, a bit confusing, since they seem to share the lot with the AAA (didn't see any signs otherwise). Staff here is friendly, food comes out quick, and plenty of seating. I ordered my favorite: the Gold Rush combo. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the sauce (it's key to perfection). My only wish is that they carried curly fries at this location. I'll be back! :)

So, I've been putting off coming here due to the lack of a drive-through... However, after a much-needed burger, and seeing that Fuddruckers' line was absurd, I started drifting down the road. Before long I was at Roy Rogers -- big and new! It's not what I remember from the 90's when these restaurants were actually scattered all around the area -- it's better. While it's not "fine dining", it's top-of-the-line fast food. Any where with a "fixins" bar wins me over. This is what I wanted -- no little greasy burger with a squirt of ketchup and some tiny diced onions of questionable origin. It was good! The burger was reasonably big, and I was able to pile on enough lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to fool myself into thinking this was a halfway healthy meal. Anywhere that had Old Bay set out for fries wins me over, too. I don't know what else to ask for {besides a drive-through}.

Who remembers the old Roy Roger's "Buckaroo Card" as a kid? Okay...... now I'm showing my age..... huh????? When I was a kid, you were issued a "Buckaroo Card", which meant you would get a small fry or small soda for your birthday. Fast forward 40 yrs and now you get the new monster soda mix-match machine.....You've come a long wayyyyy ! Despite McDonald's best efforts to kill ol Roys, it survives. The hamburger, fries, and fried chicken cannot be beat...... Parking is a little tight if it's the weekend...... Now if only they would bring back the cutie outfits the gals used to wear..... *smack! not politically correct nowadays!

The Fried Chicken has been consistently good, but check your carry-out order before you leave the restaurant. This weekend they only gave us half our order, but with a phone call the manager arranged for us to pick up what they left out the next day. When we went to pick up the rest of the order, they got it wrong. At that point my husband knew to check it before he drove away.

What a small location- if you come here during lunch rush be prepared to wait for the Coke freestyle machine and get ready to be pushed and bumped by people as this place is tiny for a RR, I would recommend to replace the Coke Freestyle machines with the regular dispensers. As for the food- it does taste the same as I remember, but that could be a bad thing. Burgers taste like the patties were frozen and the prices are high. The fries were really soggy. Thankfully there is a Wendy's and a Five Guys nearby where their burgers are fresh.

Yes! Hello fried chicken and roast beef sandwiches! The new restaurant is across from Marlo Furniture on Rockville Pike and I am so excited to try them! After you place your order, they ask for your name so that they can call it out when your order is ready to be picked up. They also have a TV (was on football). On to the review: I had the chicken strips and BP had the Spicy Chicken sandwich. We shared the beef sliders, fries, biscuits and a brownie. My chicken strips looked strange, but BP said it was because it was real chicken, not cuts of chicken formed to make a strip. I thought it could have been seasoned more, but at least they weren't greasy. I much prefer Roy Rogers to Popeyes or KFC. The sauce on BP's Spicy Chicken was zesty and extremely flavorful. The chicken was all white meat and a nice cut. No gross fatty pieces here. He also commented on the buttery, light taste of the bun. We were a bit disappointed with the beef sliders. They lacked in flavor and were not juicy like at Arby's. BP loves the Beef and Cheddar at Arby's so that is what I was expecting. We were grateful with how well the beef was cooked. It wasn't pink, which I cannot stand. The service was okay. I stood at the counter for at least three minutes before anyone asked if I needed anything when I went back to place an order of biscuits. I really liked the biscuits. These also were not greasy, they were so delicious and cooked to perfection: A nice crust on the outside, but soft and doughy on the inside. I also really liked the fries. They were fresh out the fryer, but as BP noticed, they were under seasoned. They also sell ice cream cones and Sunday's here made using Edy's. Maybe next time!

So glad to see Roy Rogers beginning to make a comeback in the area. I noticed they're advertising at Capitals games on the boards of the rink. So this is a brand-new Roy's, friendly staff and everything is clean and new. I believe there's only one way to eat a Rogers Roast beef sandwich, and that's drowning it in their barbecue sauce. I would point out that you have to get the sauce inside the restaurant from the pump instead of the drive thru where they give you packets of an inferior version of the sauce, but this Roy's is eat-in only. Don't sleep on Roy's burgers either, and of course they still have their famous Fixin's bar!

So I have been waiting for this place to open for awhile now since I'm always driving up and down the Rockville Pike. Went here today with my significant other and we ordered 3 Roast Beef Sliders and a Bacon Cheeseburger Combo with fries & a drink for around $13.95, which wasn't too bad of a deal. It was a bit crowded granted it has just opened, so maybe it will die down once it's been here for awhile, but kind of small inside. There is a condiments bar in the middle filled with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, jalapenos, and banana peppers. The sauces include barbecue, ketchup, mustard, and a monthly sauce which happened to be BOOM BOOM today. Yum! The soda machines are those huge Coca Cola machines that allow you to mix and match different soda combinations. The line to them is kind of long, but it goes fast enough. We got our order pretty quickly. I added lettuce, ketchup, pickles, jalapenos, and banana peppers to my sliders, but the roast beef slider by itself was delicious enough. The roast beef was so tender, juicy, and soft. I've never had roast beef like that before. It was definitely cooked to perfection today. It didn't even need any extra condiments or sauces! My boyfriend thought his bacon cheeseburger and fries were delicious as well. We were super satisfied with our visit to this establishment today and will probably be coming back in the near future. I only hope it will be as good as it was today!!

It's been a while since my first review. Now there are less people working there. The cashier was so slow and I'm assuming he was new because he didn't hear me when I plainly said to him, "Two plain burgers and a small drink, please." He asked me to repeat. Ummmm. "Twooooooo plaiiinnnnnnn bur-gerrrrrrrs and a ssssssssmalllllllll drink." Sheshhhhh. Although nobody was there, it took a while. I was pleased that the burgers were hotter than Hades and the BUN WAS THE SAME SIZE as the BURGER! Yeah! Finally, they got that right. So, down to taste. It was a good burger. Not excellent, obviously. It's fast food.

The first time, our Roast Beef was not cooked all the way. Tasted raw (see picture) and we threw it away. Not good. Second time, I was craving chicken strips and instead of the 3pc combo, I wanted a 5 pc strip combo. The cashier said they did not come in 5 pc. I pointed to the menu behind him and said "that reads available in 5 pc". Still, he said no...so I went with the 3 pc then. Got home and turns out he gave me a 3 pc FRIED CHICKEN combo!! The chicken wasn't even good... Nope. Nope. Nope. Never coming again.

Great to see Roy Rogers in Rockville only complaint I have is always check your to go Order they have messed mine up every time the last time they forgot the mashed potatoes and I called to complain and really didn't get the customer service I was expecting basically was told I could come back to pick them up or get them at a later time not really what a customer wants to hear if already getting home only to find part of the order missing.

Went there on a friday night. 9:45pm on august 7th (15 minutes before close) There was 0 chicken available, except for some stale old chicken strips. They offered to sell me those, but did not offer to make me the 3 piece i wanted. I dont know which is worse, not having my order or trying to sell me old food. He told me it was iffy when i asked. Even if it is you dont admit it. Came in tonight at 9:15 tonight. Ordered a 3 piece and some desserts. The 3 piece took 9 minutes, and all they had to do was pick it out of the hot tray. They mistakenly offered me my friends desserts as well. His order was a chicken strips meal and a roast beef sandwich. They had to slice his roast beef fresh because there was none prepped. They gave him half of the chicken strips he ordered. They gave him twice as many desserts by accident not on purpose. It took 23 minutes. My desserts were melted by the time he got his order. So to recap, first no food, then pathetically slow food, then unprepped food, then shorting us on what we ordered, while simultaneously doubling the other half. My chicken meal came with no biscuit. I dunno if it was supposed to but it should have. Next time go to Wendy's.

I don't know why people like Chick fil a so much, the Gold Rush sandwich destroys anything on their menu. That maybe my all time favorite chicken sandwich now. The last time I came here I had a few bites of their spicy chicken sandwich, which I had some doubts about. But the sandwich had some actual kick to it. I love this place. I only wish they brought back their chicken nuggets. Good fast food eating without the homophobia.

I was just here for the grand opening. It was an unbelievable experience. They gave free hot chocolate and coffee to everyone in line. In addition, the CEO, Jim, came out to greet and shake hands with every single person in line. The best thing was they gave the first 50 people in line $500 in gift cards. Yes, I was among the first 50. When the store opened, they processed our orders extremely fast, that's what fast food should be. The food was so incredibly fresh . The fries I ordered were the freshest I ever tasted. This location is very close to my house so I will definitely be coming here a lot.

I just came here today to order my usual. I was asked if I wanted medium fries or large fries with my meal. I decided to go with large fries today but I ended up getting the same amount of fries as my friend who got medium fries. Skip the large fries! It's not worth it! I'm sure Roy Rogers is saving a ton by eliminating the holsters for the french fries and on top of that... Now saving more on giving people less fries but charging more. Service here was excellent. This place is still extremely crowded during lunch time on a weekday.

I was very excited when I heard this franchise was coming back to the area. So I visited tonight at 730 and was very Dissapointed. I was looking forward to having their famous fried chicken and could not believe they were all out. They said it would take 20 minutes and that was not acceptable at 730! When would they expect it to be ready for dessert. The manager was speechless and the cashier had lied it would take 10 minutes. Very unprofessional. The Chicken they was on display was dark meat(2 pieces left ) that looked so cold. Better off going to Popeyes They lost our business and will not return as they are not being run correctly and management is slack. Save your time and money and go to a fresher establishment. One unhappy customer

Really disappointed! Def not up to the usual standards of Roy Rogers. I lived in Frederick recently where there were 2 Roy Rogers within a couple miles from my house. I would take my kid there at least once a week because it was one of his favorite places and I like the Gold Rush chicken sandwich. Now Roy Rogers has opened a Rockville store and I waited a couple weeks for them to get the glitches worked out. Went in this weekend and it was horrible. The fries were undercooked after having to wait for them because they had run out of fries. Had to return the fries and get new ones and that ended up being a hassle. People's orders were left sitting in the warming station and then had to ask for their order after waiting too long and then find out it was just sitting there because the staff wasn't calling out orders by name like they do in other locations. The place was kinda dirty and you could tell no one was doing any cleaning. My friend said his burger didn't taste good. It was just sucked to see a Roy Rogers being run like that. Not sure if I'll go back but if I do it won't be for a long while so hopefully they can get a better manager and/or staff in there.
