Miller's Rockville Ale House...I never know what the heck to call this place. Usually I settle on Miller's and that's good enough. I have been to Miller's lots of times. My first date with my now husband was at Miller's and we each had a nice cold DogfishHead 60 Minute IPA on tap and hit it off quite well. The food is good, but I mainly stick to the Zingers which are quite an excellent rendition of boneless buffalo wings. The sauce is delicious and buttery and there is almost no breading, which is awesome. The Zingers are definitely best to have if you're dining in, as To Go they tend to lose the crispness which makes them so appealing. Also, you have to make sure to request extra sauce and if you're lucky, you get two of the same sauces and not one ranch and one blue cheese. Overall, Miller's is cool if you're grabbing a beer with friends after work, or if you just want a quick bite and a beer. Service is usually pretty good, so that's a good thing too.

For the money this is a really fun place. Yes its usually full of townies. I wouldn't normally come here for a Friday or Saturday night , but for a game or work hh it hits the spot. I live in DC, so I'm not used to drink prices this low. 5 dollar capt Morgan. 5 dollar jager shots. Incredibly cheap beer. Huge selection of drinks at great prices Food is much better than average for sports bar. I would stick to simple stuff. Nachos, wings, cheese fries all very good. Probably more like a 3.5 but a solid place especially in rockville.

Came to watch a football game that was not on the Ol' Home Cable Package. Service, friendliness, prices, and cooperation in queueing up the game on a big screen right in front of me exceeded expectations. Wow -- a sports bar where you can actually kick back and enjoy watching football! A good venue to know.

Went here with friends for a ladies night not too long ago, and it was a very nice experience. Our waitress was such a sweetheart, and she was very personable. Service was quick, and the food was delicious. I ordered their steak with mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The steak was slightly overcooked, but that honestly isn't a big deal to me. Their house made gravy was alright, I'm just not a gravy person. According to my friends, their alcoholic drinks were amazing, as well.

I think this restaurant is beautiful on the inside and the staff is very friendly. I wish the taste of their food matched their decor and friendliness of the staff. I been here several times hoping and praying their food was going to be better, however it keeps coming up just okay. I think their drinks are over priced for the amount of alcohol they put in them (which to me seems like absolutely nothing). :( I think I might go back just one more time to give them a chance.

Rockville Ale House is a newcomer to the Rockville area, and not entirely unwelcome. It is an All-American bar that serves up the usual fried bar food - wings, sandwiches, shrimp, fries and burgers, and the like. They do have a pretty serious draft selection, and the entire restaurant seats a huge number of people. With TV's everywhere, this is basically the best sports bar in the area, except for Hooters (a good comparison for what to expect, and Miller's is definitely classier). All in all, no surprises with this bar, but it is clean and well-lit, with an extensive beer and food selection and TV's everywhere you look. The best part are the special events they run, like trivia on Tuesday nights, but overall a fun place to be.

Two stars for the following: (1.) a clean restaurant (2.) prompt, friendly service Other than that... our experience was pretty minimal and I would not return. We should have looked to Yelp before going, but we were looking for the closest place for a drink. This place was mentioned, so we went... as Jodi C. said, lesson learned. I ordered one of their drink specials, a double Smirnoff Blueberry, with lemonade for $5. Awesome deal - except I think there was minimal vodka in my lemonade. Not so great of a deal. We also ordered appetizers and they just plain SUCKED! My spinach dip had minimal flavor and the chips were the stalest I've ever eaten. Didn't even want to finish it and wished I had not ordered it. My fellow diners ordered a plate of chicken nachos to share and the portion was HUGE. That's the only "positive' I can give for this dish. The chips were also stale, the chicken had no flavor, the cheese was over cooked (probably sitting under the warmer for too long). The other toppings (lettuce, salsa and sour cream) were minimal. More than half of the nachos were left uneaten. What a waste! The best thing ordered that day was an iced tea. That's sad.

Food was very good. Server wondered off and had to ask someone to find her. I mean it seemed like a long time & we had not ordered our meal. Very nice selection of @ 50 beers on tap. No local microbrews, but nice assortment with many styles available. I will try it again next trip to this area.

We tried Rockville Ale House again tonight and there has been a 180 turn in service. We had a waiter who couldn't have been more attentive and 2 managers came by to see if we liked our food. I got the salmon and my husband got a steak. Both were excellent and we didn't wait long until they arrived piping hot. Rockville Ale House must have been going through some growing pains when we went before. I would recommend it without hesitation now.

I'll say this, if I could post a picture of my happiness from the beer, drinks, and food that I had from there, I wouldn't be writing this review. Definitely had a good time and enjoyed the staff!

Good Place to watch Football and drink. My servers were friendly, quick, and patient. They have good deals for certain drinks but most likely not the drink you were going to drink anyway. I ordered steak faijtas and it was okay (i wasn't expecting great from an American restaurant anyway). My boyfriend got quesadillas and loved them. This restaurant is not bad but I think it is more of a hang out and drink spot than go out and enjoy food spot.

Bad Yelper Jodi... bad bad bad. When we said... "Hey, let's go get a drink"... the first thing I SHOULD have done was bust out my phone and let Yelp show me the way. Then, I would have seen the 1.5 star rating of the Rockville Ale House and I would have skipped right over this spot and moved on. But, I didn't - lesson learned. Stopped in with a small group of friends to grab a drink, should have stopped there. I ordered an iced tea - tolerable, but not sweet at all. There were about 25 different drink specials, which leads me to believe that this place is NOT somewhere you actually go to eat - they certainly push the booze! I ordered a DOUBLE Blueberry vodka and lemonade. Fail. If there was blueberry in there, you could have fooled me. If I had paid a penny more than $5.00 for that drink I would have sent it back and ordered a beer. At least with a beer I can control the alcohol content. For snacking sake, we ordered the chicken nachos and the spinach artichoke dip. I didn't have any of the spinach dip, but Brandi K. said it was rather stale and bland. The nachos while they brought an enormous portion ... were flat out gross. The chips were stale, the chicken was terrible dry and completely flavorless. The chips had a small amount of shredded cheese on them but were then baked until the cheese was completely dry and almost black. Between the four of us... there was more than ¾ of the nachos left uneaten on the plate. Blah! The drinks, while cheap ... are week. The food... dismal. The atmosphere, lots of beer... but with over 100 TV's, let's be honest, this is a Sports Bar not an Ale House. The servers... I feel bad for saying this... but yikes! Some of these ladies seem like they have had better days. But, our serves niceness and enthusiasm (and the cleanliness of the place) is the only reason I am giving this place two stars.

I'll admit that I cringed when my mother-in-law suggested the Ale House for dinner. Really? Bar food for dinner? I'm not a fan of this chain in Miami. However, the House served up a solid family meal and our table was satisfied with our entrees. Me &the hubbs split the Surf n'Turf option. Our server, Chris, was very attentive with refills, food delivery and other order requests.

I have enjoyed this location as a good venue for watching sports in the past. However, the last two times I have been there, I have been very disappointed. Apparently the staff is being pushed extra hard to convince the customers to provide their email addresses and phone numbers in exchange for a coupon for a free order of flat bread. Last night, the server was unacceptably pushy in trying to get me to complete the form for her prior to ordering. When I told her that I would consider completing the form later, she badgered me repeatedly to fill it out immediately. Once it became clear to her that I was not going to fill out the form, she became very cold and unfriendly to the people at my table and made several mistakes with our orders. Although I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, I will think twice before returning here again.

Let me start off by talking about my love and passion for ribs. So when I got online and read that their food is good, I expect only the best. It was a bit cold but it is absolutely beautiful and lively inside. It is a great environment for social gatherings and a night out with friends, but as a restaurant for just me and my mom, it was a little loud and wild. The waiter, Muhammed, was incredibly helpful and sincere, and since it was our first time he helped out with recommending the food. Along with the manager and the hostess, customer service is a huge positive. It's a great staff. The food was great, but not the best. The ribs are amazing, and the full rack is huge (if you like binging on leftovers the next day, go for the full rack). The serving sizes are great, and the side options were delicious (I recommend the baked potato). However, my mother's lobster was not cooked fully the first time through. Overall, with the inviting environment and fantastic ribs, I would not hesitate to come back. However, I recommend it for a night out with friends or just watching the game. The only drawback are the higher prices, but other than that, Rockville Ale House has the best ribs on Rockville Pike.

The Rockville Ale House has a surplus of TVs , lots of beer, of course, and food which on the basis of a single visit was one level below mediocre. Considering that the house wasn't very crowded, the service was unforgivably slow. There are better places to drink and a long list of restaurants that serve better food. Unless you want to get sloshed and watch however many sports channels appear in front of you, behind you, to your left and to your right, I wouldn't put this joint high on my list.

Wow slow service, bar smelled like Clorox Waited 20 minutes no beer no order no service - three people working ( talking, laughing ) less than 10 customers on a Friday night with football And baseball.at least the bartenders were having fun :) I'd rather tips to pay my rent but to each their own.

I got buffalo wings and they were ok. Wife got Mac and Cheese with seafood which was ok. My friend got a Caesars salad which looked on the small size. Overall, not very good food but they were showing PPV Boxing so they get an extra star from me.

Good drink specials cheapest drinks on the pike. Good atmosphere, good bartenders food is ok nothing special. The reason to come here is for the sports, tons of TV they show every game everyday! Good stuff check it out!

I come here often with my boyfriend because he always loves this place. It has good food and great service. I like their zingers. This place is a little hard to order for if you're trying to eat vegan/vegetarian or if you fast but it can be made possible.

Great selection of beer but the food & service isn't fantastic, doesn't quite live up to "Ale House" expectation. Great place to watch sport however, a lot of screens and good atmosphere.

My wife and I went there for lunch. There weren't many people so service was quick and staff is friendly. My wife ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, I ordered the british burger (bacon cheese burger). The steak and cheese sandwich was hot in the middle and cold on the outside. Clear sign of microwaving the sandwich. My burger was cooked properly but, the burger appeared to have the same consistency and shape as any fast food place. Edge of the burger was flat like a frozen patty that comes in big boxes and the texture wasn't that of a fresh made burger. I wouldn't have expected that from a nice restaurant, ale house, or sports bar. Their compensation for a crummy lunch was to offer us a desert... Dumb shits...

I stopped in with a friend for a quick bite and drink before going to see a dance performance. We had intended to go somewhere else, but that place was so crowded we couldn't get in, so we actually just happened to end up here by accident. But I consider it a fortunate accident, so glass half-full and all that. We were quickly taken to a seat in a LARGE booth, and our server came around quickly with our cold drinks and took our order. She was patient with us as we tried to figure out what we wanted, which we eventually settled on a couple of appetizers. The food was good, typical bar food but still good. Yes, you can screw up bar food, but they did a good job. Very reasonable prices, lots of TVs to watch the games, and great service. All in all, a good stop.

I'll say this, if I could post a picture of my happiness from the beer, drinks, and food that I had from there, I wouldn't be writing this review. Definitely had a good time and enjoyed the staff!

I come here often with my boyfriend because he always loves this place. It has good food and great service. I like their zingers. This place is a little hard to order for if you're trying to eat vegan/vegetarian or if you fast but it can be made possible.

Place is not bad, it can get pretty crowded though. The food is descent and comes out quick. The people that work there are friendly. I usually come here to watch the UFC fight. It's a great atmosphere over all.

I love this bar! You can get drunk without breaking the bank! The place is usually clean, there about 2 million televisions and the service is usually decent. Stay on the lookout for the drink specials because they offer some great values!
