QAS was very responsive and flexible with our planning for a New Years party. They worked withiin our budget, offering suggestions on the number of food selections to maximize the enjoyment of our guests. We had two members of their staff to work the party, a bartender and an overall event manager. They arrived in plenty of time to setup and stage everything and they were both very pleasant people. I would say each of them behaved professionally and were courteous to our guests at all times. The food was very good, and the guests were quite happy with the selection and the quality. The manager was vigilant in keeping the dishes replenished as needed, and keeping the entire party clear of used dishes and napkins. The bartender was a really nice guy and he worked quickly to keep the guests time at the bar area to a minimum. He was perhaps not as well trained a bartender as I expected, but he could make basic drinks. A martini shaker on hand would have been nice though. The only other knock on QAS was the glassware provided. They only provided wine glasses. Fortunately they had short stems so a mixed drink could work in a semi passable manner. Tumblers could have been provided as well though for those not drinking wine. Would we use them again? Yes, and we would be sure to convey to them precisely what we need or expect. They did a nice job though and the party was a great success, and that is what really matters!

Lindsay M is the best! She's helpful, talented and her cakes are to die for. The cakes are not only beautiful but tasted great! Super happy, thanks Lindsay!!

I used Quite a Stir to cater a business breakfast and lunch. The food arrived on time and both smelled and looked amazing. It was very tasty. We had quiche and muffins in the morning and a taco bar for lunch. The prices are reasonable and Debra was easy to work with. I'd definitely use them again if I were catering something in the DC area.

I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Tracy contacted me promptly and put me in touch with the event coordinator, Sarah. We were able to work together to create a menu that met my needs. Everyone loved the items we chose (Pesto Chicken Skewers, Beef Empanadas, and Mac & Cheese balls) and even though I'd ordered more than enough food, there were very few leftovers. I will say, catering is not for the cheap, but the prices weren't out of line with a lot of the caterers that I'd considered. I'd definitely work with them again.

I haven't had an occasion to use a caterer since 2003 when Quite a Stir catered a party in my home following a hurricane. I had no power. This time I had power, and they were every bit as good. Even better (of course, this time I had power!). The staff arrived promptly. The set up was efficient and prepared with great enthusiasm - very professional. Chef happily worked in my matchbox kitchen - he even repaired a broken knob on my oven. I asked for a "fork-friendly" menu as my guests would be eating in their laps, and they delivered a scrumptious menu with an amazing red snapper entree. The price was right and very fair for everything - service and especially food.

QAS catered my dad's funeral and I have to tell you, they were amazing. They took all our requests and created an unforgettable event. Our gathering was lovely, with gorgeous floral arrangements they had made for us, and the food was delicious. The staff was really helpful, and Tracy made what was an incredibly difficult day run as smooth as could be. Do I sound crazy to say that I really enjoyed my Dad's funeral? Leave it to Quite a Stir to take the stress out of event planning and let you focus on your guests.

I've used Quite a Stir pretty much exclusively for work functions- parties, conferences and teacher workshops, for over three years. The staff are terrific, and I've had great fun working with Lisa Gill in planning events. Lisa has a keen eye for matching the party subject matter with decor and menu selections. Remember that the effort you put into your own party will help determine your success. One of the great things about QAS is their efforts to work within your established budget which includes tables, chairs, linens, etc. I've had fantastic events on small budgets because of the effort to provide quality service. I would recommend QAS for any event and will absolutely use them again in the future. Over the course of three years, the QAS staff are not just caterers but friends. That is the kind of thing that makes working with passionate small business owners and staffers so enjoyable. I'll be back.

We use Quite a Stir regularly for events at my job at Georgetown University and have always had excellent experiences. Their Event Coordinator, Lisa, stays in touch regularly with specials and offers, works with me no matter what my budget, and always gives me a variety of menus to choose from. The food is consistently on time and delicious (our guests love their dips and cheese selections) and I always get a call to make sure that everything went ok. Caterers like this make my job a lot less stressful!

I've used pretty much exclusively Quite a Stir for work events for the past three months, and I can tell you that they are just tops! I get super personal service from Jason and Tracy, and can throw all kinds of requests their way, and they make it all look easy as pie. (I've even gotten responses from Jason letting me know that adding a whole new order with only a few days' notice is "easy peasy"!) I love that Quite a Stir will even check in with me before I even realize that I need to place an order. On top of their office staff being great, the delivery guys are super nice and helpful. Willing to help me move giant heavy tables and always asking questions to make sure everything is just as I want it. They've got a ton of selections and will work with you on putting together a menu to meet your every need, from a swank wine and hors d'oeuvres reception to a department luncheon. Love QAS.

Someone named Tracy Toth promised on several occasions to send me a proposal for an event, and never did. I guess they do not need the business, but it would have been far more polite to say, "not interested, thanks" than give empty promises of a proposal. Not a good first impression!

I have worked with Lisa at Quite a Stir on numerous events, and on every occasion she and her team have delivered exceptional food, fitting decor, and attentive customer service, regardless of the size of my budget. I look forward to working with QAS because I know I can depend on their prompt responses, creativity in tailoring decor and menu to the event, and delivery of delicious food and professional service every time. I have counted on QAS for all kinds of events, and thus far, they have hit the ball out of the park on every occasion.

We use these folks a LOT for various events at work. While I don't always deal with setting up the orders directly, I eat a lot of their food and meet a lot of their serving staff. Quite a Stir offers both drop-off platters/food and full-service catering. The drop-off fare I've had is usually pretty good: veggie trays (they ALWAYS have tons of jicama... it's become a running joke among my coworkers and I), yummy cheeses displayed well, artichoke dip, garlic pitas, etc. Things are always presented well and they make it easy for us to set up ourselves. Things are 10 times better when the Quite a Stir servers do the entire event. Everyone I met has been super helpful, assisting me in schlepping beer and wine, setting up tables that aren't theirs, and helping me decide how to set up a room. They're incredibly friendly and professional and willing to go above and beyond what their contract may state.

We used Quite a Stir for a party and were really disappointed in the presentation. The buffet was sparse and looked cheap. The food was tasty but it looked like appetizers instead of dinner. The staff was non-responsive about our concerns and their accounting for the bill was inexact. We regret using Quite a Stir.
