Pretty good store to find all your filipino treats, delicacies, cosmetic needs and food items. Pork BBQ on Friday's and weekends. You can find pandesal, Hopia, Mamon, Sapin-sapin, Pastillias de Leche, frozen siopao, Biko and lots more.

This review is for the grocery store, not the hot food at the back. Environment: It looks tiny from the outside but to my surprise, it's pretty spacious inside compared to other Filipino grocery stores in the area. There are plenty of parking space and conveniently located near a bus stop. Selection: It has a few things that the other 2 grocery stores in my area doesn't offer. However, my mom does like it here better because she said the price is reasonable and she usually bumps into friends when shopping here. Staff: Friendly. They offer to help you look for things and "Hindi sila nag mumuro" and watch you like you're planning to steal something.

Saw this place across the street when I visited Great Wall and, since I've only recently discovered Filipino food, I had to give this a try. 6.50 for a combo platter that featured two meats and white rice. Unfortunately, the food was so so. The pork adobo was way too heavy on the vinegar. I like my sour foods, but this was too much even for me. The kaldereta was ok. I was told it would be spicy, but it was only mild with chewy beef. The longanisa were cold and greasy and the chicken adobo was the only decent one of the bunch. Granted, these were all prepared foods, but I've generally not been burned by a buffet table before. Guess there's a first time for everything. Oh, and the portions were measly. This is also a Filipino grocery store, so we bought some longanisa to try at home. Better off just getting these as they are cheaper and you can fry them fresh for yourself!

I found Filipino Market & Cafe on Yelp while I was in the area. Small supermarket but it seemed to have most of the things that a filipino would be looking for from groceries, dvds, barongs, and phone cards. lol I got food from the back (toro toro style...think Panda Express buffet where the food is pre-made, and you basically point at what you want). I had the pancit, kare kare, and pinakbit. I thought the kare kare and pinakbit were a bit oily, but they tasted good. I had no complaints about the pancit. Out of all the filipino food places I've been to in the DC area....which is almost all of them, and you can count them with one hand....I'd have to say that this was probably one of the better ones. The food was on point for being a toro toro place. They had TFC playing and the family hanging out. I almost felt like I was in CA again. haha! I'd go back if I were in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place unless i was super duper craving filipino food.

I usually go there for a lunch combo which is pretty much average but would never buy breads again..I bought some ensaymada and ate it the next day, did not notice there were molds on it..there's no date on the bread. They should check their shelves.

Halo Halo!!!! Best dessert ever!! I have been looking for somewhere to get Halo Halo forever and was so excited to find this place. Everyone was so friendly and the Halo Halo was perfect! Will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes and to introduce friends to my favorite dessert.

Since we ventured out to other ethnic markets, BP and I decided to stop by here as well. Initially we were only looking for Best brand ice cream. The market did not have the Best brand here, but had the cheese flavored and the corn flavored ice cream we were looking for. BP was very interested in still purchasing the ice cream, but the containers were a bit large. We're still looking! I ended up purchasing a pack of what I will call the Filipino version of Chicken XLB's: Chicken Siopao. I was very excited by the variety of Filipino snack food here. I found my new favorite thing: Mamon (Filipino Sponge Cake). Seriously, you've gotta try it! I found it to be a bit more expensive than I would have wanted it, over $2, but it tasted what I imagine my favorite Pokemon ever, Jigglypuff, would taste like. It was light, fluffy, and just heavenly... Perhaps next time we will try the cafe in the back of the market!

Friendly folks at the store. This was the first time I had visited the store. I was on a mission to find this calamansi lime juice - it's the only store nearby that carried the product. There was a grocery section and a food take out section in back. The food looked good. I just went straight to the freezer. To my dismay it was 0.5 fl oz individually packed - total 6 fl oz. I needed 3 liters. 1 liter = 33.81 fl oz so it's about 17 packets. The lady at the store was very helpful and I cleaned out her freezer taking all 16 packets of the lime juice. It was 1 short but ok. I was happy though to have found it.

WARNING: MOLD AND EXPIRED GOODS. On numerous occasions I've visited and a lot of their pandesals, pastries, and even baby cologne are no good. Their breads were beginning to mold and some of their baby colognes were expired. I've notified several staff each time I've visited and they continued to leave the items for sale.. Not safe and not healthy.

I love this place. This always seem to hit my Filipino cravings. It's not as good as mama's (nothing is ever as good as your own mother's filipino cooking) but it definitely hits the spot. They always have a wide selection of ulam with some of the staples like sinigang. They have dessert too like halo-halo and my favorite sapin sapin. I come here at least once a week...if not more when I am missing my mommy.

The cafe is in the back of the market. It may not look as impressive when first walking in but the food is pretty amazing. This was my first time trying Filipino food and, wow, it was delicious. The lady explained well what all the choices were made of etc. I also tried halo-halo, Filipino dessert served In a cup. It was AWESOME in various aspects. A little tricky mixing all the ingredients and the lady was nice to give us a tip on how to eat it. Just goggle it to see how good it looks too. Pretty great first experience. I will DEFINITELY come back. Oh and the prices were very inexpensive for the huge amount of serving.

Hidden in a hassle and bustle accident prone highway, but discovered. You'll find the usual grocery items and all ready cooked to eat Filipino dishes. What set them apart from other store similar to this establishment? None. Small stuffs. It's just for convenience. You live in and around the area, you got it.

I saw this market when I was going to Great Wall Supermarket. Being new to the area, I had to check it out. I have yet to find a great filipino store and/or restaurant. I stopped by to look for a few things that Great Wall did not have such as Pancit Canton (filipino instant chow mein). When I first walked in, I smelled the delicious food in the back. They had about a three isles of filipino snacks, etc. The products were very minimal, but decent selection of chips. I found my Pancit Canton Calamansi flavor so I was content. I am giving three stars because I didn't even get a hello after walking around the store and the restaurant at the back. Nor did I get a hello or a thank you while I was purchasing my items. I wont be coming back.. not worth the trip all the way from downtown DC. *Must spend $10 to use a credit/debit card*

I discovered this Filipino store when one of my Yelp friends checked-in to it about a month ago. Hello bookmark. Made a special trip yesterday afternoon to give it a try, as I am always looking for new Philippine restaurants and markets to add to my list. This store is a gem for locals who live and work around Rockville, Maryland. Upon my initial assessment, I immediately noticed that they offer turo-turo (buffet-style hot food) in the rear. I didn't try it because I already had plans to re-visit another Filipino restaurant in the area that day. From what I could see, they appeared to offer the typical philippine cuisine as a two-portion combo w/ rice. They have three aisles of well stocked import goods along with refrigerated shelves. The refs boasted everything from Sarsi, to longanisa and balut. there was also a large sampling of Filipino bakery goods up front which included a multitude of different style pandesal and pastries. Don't make a special trip to this store if you are not local, but if you are around and need to fill-up on Filipino necessities - this is your place.

This Filipino Market sells bunch of Filipino products and packaged goods. I go here for their lunch special: 2 entrees + rice for $6sh. Their portion's decent & the food's not bad at all. They usually have about 8-10 entrees that you can choose from. Their Bistek is good, the sasauge's pretty good, the sweet jerky's good, the sour jerky's ok & the stew isn't bad. I must warn you though that all their food's very greasy; They put a lottt of oil in their food!!! However, they all taste decently good, it's like home-cooked meal to me. The owner's extremely nice, she was giving me samples to help me decide. I'd def come back here again when I'm craving some Filipino food.

This is a pretty good sized store. Upon walking in, I found a lot of items that I don't often see in other Filipino stores in the area. They are usually much smaller and limited in products. This store had a great selection of breads and desserts. They have everything you need to make the most amazing halo halo ever. I haven't tried the restaurant in the back, but would like to one of these days. I just came in here to grab a few grocery items, Magnolia brand ice cream being my number one on the list. They were priced lower here than other stores which was a relief. I'm used to buying Magnolia in California for much less, so moving back to the East Coast was rough for me. I miss the abundance of this ice cream brand, so I have to splurge every once in a while and grab a few flavors. Love it.
