I love all of the options. Food is great and drinks are great. I don't like how messy the burgers are. Most of my toppings fell back into the basket. Guess that knife and fork they gave me will be of use.

Once and Done... not a fan. Burgers are just ok, fries are soggy, lots of variety but what is variety if you don't have quality. The place itself could be cleaner... I hate a place that smells like someone just used a dirty mop!! Gross!!! Service was mediocre at best. Sorry, but nothing good to say. I'm shocked because reading some of the posted reviews I expected MUCH better. Do yourself a favor and go to Five Guys, BGR Burger or Elevation Burger if you want some good eats.

Please provide a handsome tip to the waiting staff. They work extremely hard, and each day is physically demanding. I have been in their shoes. Working in a restaurant is tough man. There are a million things to remember, and sometimes customers can be annoying. There is always something that needs to be done. Cheeburger is GOAT. The brick-layer laborers outside were so fresh. This time, our party of three consisted of two Jews and a chink. We were a power table. I bet you don't care what I ordered. I got the vegetarian burger on a Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, black olives, and a grilled portabello mushroom. That burger was amazing!!! So GOAT. The other two ordered the turkey burger and vegetarian burger, respectively. They liked their food, too. Positive vibes. The sweet potato fries hit the spot man. Fallsgrove has a boatload of milfs. My milf radar blew up, and I had to calibrate it. The radar was not meant to handle such an overload of hot women, but I have since made system improvements and scheduled weekly maintenance. Everywhere you turn in this shopping center, milf or hot nurse. Sorry for the thirst, but I am a single 25 year old guy. I ought to create an app that highlights the hot women around your phone. Each woman with the app has a score out of 10 that indicates her hotness. Then app users can vote on their hotness and make the score more statistically significant. Superficial, yes. Useful, yes. I hear there is something like this for the LGBT community. Let's bring it into the mainstream.

Cheeburger has an old school diner feel and serves up your basic burgers, fries, and shakes. The burgers are not exactly gourmet, but they are cheap, filling, and come with as many FREE toppings as you want (except extra cheeses and some select special toppings). I normally get a 1/3 lb beef burger or the turkey burger and pile on the free toppings. This usually results in a really soppy and messy burger, but hey, it's all going to same place isn't it? I also really like the sweet potato fries - they must add a lot of sugar to them or something, because they are extra sweet but are absolutely delicious. I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't tried the shakes here yet, but I will definitely do so next time. Service can be slow and disjointed, but this seems to be because of the setup and not because of the servers (our server on our most recent visit was very courteous and attentive). There's no hosts waiting to seat you when you walk in so you have to wait for someone from the counter to notice you, and if you're seated in the tables behind the frosted glass panes then it's hard to flag anyone down. Other little highlights about Cheeburger that make my day are the the huge water glasses and the paper towel rolls at each table so you don't have to feel guilty asking your waiter for extra napkins as you sop up the juices from your burger. They send out coupons via email and occasionally have Groupons, so keep an eye out for those to save some money on your next visit!

Okay, after a visit with my oncologist, I decided I wanted to have a hamburger, so Cheeburger Cheeburger was close and they make a great hamburger ! I came in the middle of a shift change and a fashion show..The tightest pants and the best tattoo... They were all winners to me. But I came for the food and left with a smile. The burger was prepared as I requested, medium, and was delivered hot by the winner of the tattoo contest.. ( A nice tattoo located on the lower back just above the waist) What more could you ask for. I will patronize this establishement in the future.

I hate spending money on food when I'm not satisfied with the results. I took took a chance on this restaurant even after thinking "what a stupid name"!! I drove around not familiar with the area and I was late so I said let me just go ahead and get some food -anything. I had just eaten at at Smashburger the day before and maybe that's what ruined this experience for me. The burgers were horrible here. They have very little flavor and they are extremely expensive compared to other gourmet burger restaurants. What I was most disappointed at was how little flavor the meat had and the shredded lettuce. This restaurant has the quality below a Wendy's, but overcharged for a gourmet burger without offering fresh ingredients like lettuce which should be standard for this type of restaurant. I will not return, and if you want a fresh burger with fresh vegetables I would not suggest you do either.

Kind of like an older model Steak and Shake. Greasy as expected, but oh so good. The fried jalapeños were awesome! Good burgers, good shakes, and good onion rings. The fries were just eh. The service was good. This is a pretty neat little burger joint. We'll be coming back for milk shakes for sure! I really like that a portion of everything they make goes to cancer research. I think that's absolutely wonderful.

One word of advice: go to Five Guys instead. You would be crazy to go here instead. The prices are way too high and the food is not very good. The fries are terrible (especially with Five Guys just around the corner). The worst part about this place is the burgers. This is a shame because it is called Cheeburger Cheeburger, which makes you think it should be known for it's burgers. The burgers are tasteless, dry and almost fall apart. I love burgers and couldn't even finish mine. The one saving grace is the awesome decor, followed by the good yet overpriced milkshakes. Not worth going to in my opinion and unappetizing to boot.

The waitress was disgusting- I saw my loaded fries fall over on the serving platter... Then she "went back to get me a new one" when she brought it back there was a huge smear of cheese where the old ones fell over at so I knew she just brought me the same shit that she knocked over so I told her to leave this one at the table while she made a new one and then I told her she can take the other one- but the fact that you lied and said it was not the same one when I know better, pisses me off. I used to be a waitress- I didn't leave a tip either- not when you do that to me.

Came here for lunch with my dad in between appointments. We split a pattymelt and a medium order of sweet potato fries. The pattymelt was quite good. Cooked medium how we ordered it, good amount of cheese, good and toasted bread. Solid. The sweet potato fries were also quite good - cooked and flavored well. My only complaint is that my waitress brought me sprite or some sort of flavored water when all I wanted was regular water. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, and I didn't bother to correct it, but still. Hard to mess up water. 4 stars nevertheless.

Went here today with a few friends to grab some food before class. Anywho..it's a super casual place and the name "Cheeburger" makes me chuckle.. Say it out loud a few times and it will make you chuckle too! So ordered drinks and they were served to us in cute mason jars. How adorable. BUT anyways. I know this is a burger place and dear me! I didn't order a burger, BUT I did order their LIMITED TIME macaroni bites!!!! Haha, delicious and with some extra cheese on the side.. YUM! But they were ridiculously hot when they served them to me. Burned my mouth! Back to the burgers.. There are quite a lot of burger selections. I'll definitely be back to make my own combination! There was some ridiculous number of burger combinations you can get here.. Very neat.. Oh and they have a BAJILLION shake options! Couldn't resist! Strawberry Cheesecake Shake... Will be back to try more flavors!!

My husband and I had dinner her last week and we were very disappointed. This has been our go to place for good burgers for years. It appears that Cheeburger has lost their focus, the same as Fudruckers did.. My burger, ordered medium, came more closely resembling a hockey puck! It was well done and completely dried out. My toppings, Swiss cheese, teriyaki sauce and pineapple, arrived without the pineapple and the teriyaki sauce. We had ordered a shake and an ice cream soda for our beverage. They never arrived until we were ready to leave. When the waitperson delivered the burgers and noticed no drinks she said she forgot to put in the order. It took another 20 minutes before they showed up. All in all it was a pretty awful meal and I think I know why. Once a hamburger joint starts adding a lot of other items to the menu the grill cooks become overwhelmed trying to keep track of the various things cooking on the grill.. The exact same thing that happened with Fudd's. A hamburger joint should keep it simple and do what they do best, hamburgers!

Big Burgerssssssss, If you like to eat burger you have to come to this place their burgers are huge and wil satisfy you. Fries are awesome aswell plus the milkshake that they do are pretyy delicious. Also I must say that if you can eat the 1 pound burger inside the restaurant they will take a picture of you with the big burger toy, and they'll post your pictures in the store.

The waitress was on point. The food was on point. The roach with an egg sack running down the wall to check out our order... Not so much. Lost my appetite after my first bite into the burger. I will not be able to stomach going back.

The burgers are so great. The wait is just not. Last time I waited about 25 mins for a burger. This time I was smart. I called in ahead. I drove to cheeburger, went to panera, grabbed a coffee came to cheeburger and still waited another 15 mins. Its a pity. The burgers are so good but the 30 plus minute wait time is really discouraging. Once in a while I will endulge in this place

Probably the best burger I have had in the past year at least... Real meat, very fresh veggies, the best name brand condiments. Variety is their speciality, hundreds of flavors of milk shakes. A 50s style diner motif. The staff are clean, friendly and professional. If you have a thinly padded bum you may want to bring a pillow. Pricing is similar to five guys. But the bread choices are better. I think the burgers here are better than five guys. Visited here twice in two days tried the Philly cheesesteak as well. It is very good but when I go back, and I will, I will order a burger. With extra green olives. Oh soda, the serve Pepsi, and this particular location may have an issue with their soda fountain (too much syrup) the milk shakes variety is crazy... Note if you want a thick shake you have to tell them otherwise it comes very milky thin.

Cheeseburger Cheeseburger is a throwback to the 60's style and new healthier burger. The meat is all grass fed and antibiotic free cattle. The burgers come with an endless list of toppings and many different size options. We went for the serious burger, which is a half pound burger. I ordered mine with provolone cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It was cooked perfectly medium with juices pouring out in every bite. Our favorite side is the onion rings. They are crisp, hot from the fryer, with an amazing batter. They are so good that you will by pass the ketchup or other dipping sauces. Drinks are served in cute glass canning jars and refilled at the diners pleasure. The service was great and the servers are young and cheerful. The decor is attractive with lots of vintage signs covering the pink walls. The serious burger is grilled to perfection. Cheeseburger Cheeseburger is the best burger in town.

I was so in the mood for a BLT, and I raked my brain on where to find one. I'm happy to say I found the best one here. The bacon to bread ratio was perfect. I'll be coming back for me.

THE MILKSHAKES! OMG THE MILKSHAKE POSSIBILITIESSSS! The meat is always cooked perfectly. Excellent forming and perfect taste. Customize your burger the way you want it and get it whatever size you need it. If you plan on trying to crush the 1-lb challenge, limit your toppings. LoL. It can easily be done. I tend to get a delirious with Pineapple, Heinz 57, Sauteed onions, tomatoes, mayo, and hot sauce. Served with some of their AMAZING onion rings. I just wish it wasnt so oily. Other than that, Cheeburger Cheeburger is a chain worth going to every so often.

I really like coming here! The burgers are great and the BLT is pretty good too! My BLT is usually topped with pickles, banana peppers, and mustard... And did I mentions that the milkshakes are to die for? They are yummy! I always get the caramel apple pie... It's a great compliment to the salty and savory goodness of the BLT!

Wanted a quick and tasty lunch so stepped in here with wifey on a Friday lunchtime. The place wasn't very busy and we were seated promptly and our server Rosa went over the menu in great detail. She took great care of us and really earned her tip. They let you "make your own" milkshake which meant choosing from what looked liked about 50 total mix-ins. I went for vanilla, caramel and peanut butter cup, just a small at $3.69, but it was still a huge shake - I don't agree with some others that it is overpriced, instead I want to know where they supposedly got a cheaper, better shake 'cos I want to go there! Overall it was an absolutely delicious shake. I had the 1/3lb burger well done, and it was really good. It costs $6.99 and is cheaper than BGR but obviously on a par with Five Guys' burgers. I honestly couldn't choose between them in terms of the quality of their burgers, unlike others. They have a multitude of free toppings including onion rings (which I didn't actually have), but bacon and mushrooms are extra. I had buffalo sauce, blue cheese, olives, roasted red peppers and lettuce on mind and it was a great combination. My wife had the chicken tenders which she assured me were also good and well seasoned. We ordered a medium fries between us and honestly, I was underwhelmed. I am glad I had some BBQ sauce to go with them for some flavor. I'd say if you want table service Cheeburger is the choice, plus it has that kitsch 50s diner feel. If you just want to sit in a place with no real decor without table service, Five Guys is the place for you. Both offer great burgers, mediocre fries and good shakes, so it's really a 50/50 split on which is best for me, as far as I'm concerned they are both worth a visit!

A co-worker recommended this place to me and to be honest, I was not super impressed. First, I ordered a blackberry / raspberry malt and over 10 minutes later a shake was brought to me by another server. I took one taste and knew this wasn't a malt so I asked my server to replace it and she advised what I had was indeed a malt. I politely advised that I'd like it re-made and she again advised that I had a malt. Finally she came back and said 'I checked with the kitchen and they made you a shake, sorry.' Then my food arrived - my medium cooked burger was well done and very dry and the lettuce was wilted and more yellow than green. The loaded fries were good but my bill was $23 and I felt that was a bit overpriced for the food quality and service I received.

It was okay. The food had good taste. I had a veggie burger with a strawberry shake. The waiter was a very nice. I would recommend this place to people.

This place suffers from poor and inconsistent management. It can be a 4 out of 5 but more often than not it's a 1 or a 2. Burgers are rarely cooked as requested and the service is usually fair at best. The service can be downright unacceptable. It feels like a good manager could turn this place around in short order. The fried pickles are routinely good though and obviously fresh. I hate to not like this place as much as I would like.

Don't come here expecting anything approaching fast service. After the waitress took our order, and brought us our drinks (but not the milkshake), we didn't see her again until the food showed up 45 minutes later. Not even a quick stop-by to ask us how we were doing or to reassure us that our order wasn't lost. The food itself was good, but not spectacular. The hotdog was enormous (with an extra topping I didn't order, but there was no way I was waiting another 45 minutes for them to redo it), the onion rings were great and didn't fall apart, and the fries were just ok. The milkshake was excellent. All in all, about what I've experienced at other Cheeburger locations. About the only reason I'd go out of my way to eat here would be the fantastic milkshake assortment.

Absolutely awful! You don't need to read any further. But, if you want to know why it's "absolutely awful", here's why: Went on a Friday night because my brother got a $20 for $12 living social deal. Fifteen minute wait to be seated. I thought that was a good sign since people were actually lining up for this food. The whole place has a "greasy" feel to it. Everything (from the tables to the ketchup bottle) was greasy. They need to give the place a good cleaning. The service is just insufferable. It was so slow. Our waitress never came to our table without us flagging down a bus boy or someone else's waiter/waitress to get her attention. It took ONE HOUR for our food to come out. The two of us ordered two burgers medium well and an order of fries. As for the food: McDonalds serves a more palatable burger (no exaggeration here). I'm not quite sure what all the other reviewers are talking about this place having a good burger. I'm not trying to be mean. I think I'm being very objective and fair when I say the meat had no flavor and tasted old/not fresh, the bun was crumbly, and the american cheese on my burger tasted processed (like the processed cheese slices you would get on school lunches when you were a kid). Also, the dipping sauces for the fries/rings were just awful. We ordered all four of them and each one was terrible in it's own regard. The only saving grace of this place were the french fries. The tasted like five guys fries and were actually quite tasty. In summary: PASS. I'm surprised this place is still in business given all the competition from all the other great burger places in the area.

While Cheeburger Cheeburger isn't In-n-Out, I didn't have to hop a plane to grab a burger here! Friendly service for sure. A huge selection of shakes. Pretty awesome onion rings. A seemingly endless list of free toppings. And a solid burger prepared to your liking.

I ordered a semi-serious burger with cheddar cheese, tomato, raw onion, lettuce, pickles and ketchup as well as sweet potato fries for take-out and I enjoyed them at home. The burger's bottom bun was a bit soggy but I can't detract a star for that since I didn't consume it right away. The burger was cooked medium as I requested. The sweet potato fries were nicely blistered and crispy, even after being trapped inside the carry-out bag on the drive home.

Second time here I sat for 8 min or more with servers passing me by, I never got a hello or I'll be right with you. The place was not busy so wtf. I got up and took my money elsewhere.

If you want a "gourmet" burger, then this is not your place - go to Five Guys, Smashburger, or some other place specializing in the art. If you want a fun, friendly, almost nostalgic place with a ton of options, then go to Cheeburger Cheeburger. The nearest comparator I can think of is Johnny Rocket on steroids. Classic burgers (1/4 lb) on a bun are built to your specifications - from toppings to temperature - they go all the way up to 20 oz, I believe. Be forewarned, they put a "fancy" blend spice bottle on the table, which is salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and something else, for a reason. I don't think they season the meat before/during cooking. Ditto with the party melt. Plenty of old time drink favorites - think shakes, floats, flavored tea/lemonades/sodas, and lots of fried goodies, from fried pickles, to fried mac and cheese nuggets (yes, nuggets), and fried mushrooms. They had family style fries that were Five Guys-like in intent, but our Large size had a mix of fries at different stages of cooking, from perfectly fried to having the overdone crispy thin fries in the same mix. The host/manager(?) of the store was great and even chipped in to take orders. Service was definitely slow (Fri night). It was some time before our order was taken, and then even longer for the food to come out. Also, no offers for drink refills. There's a ton of different sauces and toppings for everything, so you can really create your own meal. I came away stuffed, but not completely satisfied. Perhaps too many choices on the menu - including a new Philly cheesesteak recently added. I'd come again, but it's more for the variety.

This place is ok. With the price you get lots of choices especially many free toppings you can choose from. In general, the quality of the food and the service is average and it is not wow. But if you just want to grab a bite and don't want to pay a lot, this might be an accessible option considering the location. My favorite part was the loaded fries which comes with any topping you want and I got it with Chili which was really tasty.

Never again will we eat at this place. We truly felt like I was back in the '50 or 60's. We was over looked by staff then was seated by the manager by the bathroom and served by the AA waitress. As more people started coming in they was seated up front. Even staff was wondering why we was seated behind a wall when it was seats in the front. The fries was burnt and the burger had no flavor.......

My first visit and it will not be my last. Great burgers, reasonably priced. I had the classic burger, with best of both world and milk shake (Mango & Kiwi). All were great. Two Cons: - My milk shake tasted nothing like Mango or Kiwi but i still enjoyed the Vanilla ice cream. - Service is a little slow.

I used to really enjoy the food and dining experience. About a year ago I had a TERRIBLE carry out order. After an upset email, I was told I would be mailed a gift card to make up for it. I never received said gift card. I will never eat here again.

My first visit to a Cheeburger Cheeburger (no, Autocorrect, the name is right!) and I left here stuffed and happy. I didn't even know this particular franchise location was in the shopping plaza until yesterday, so why wait? We were greeted by one of the friendliest and talkative gentlemen I've met in a long time as we were shown to a table near the front window. He highlighted their menu items, which of course included burgers, fries, onion rings and a million different milk shakes. Like similar burger joints of this caliber, you can select your freshly made patty size of choice with as many or as few toppings as possible, of which there are plenty. Of course I was getting one; the 1/3 lb Semi-Serious Burger with Pepper Jack cheese and lettuce, pickles, mayo, jalapenos and my best friend, bacon. The burger was excellent, but the bun was a little dry and fell apart as I was about halfway through it. Ignoring the fries, we also ordered their deep fried pickles for an appetizer. Combined with an excellent dipping sauce, they were gone in no time. I washed everything down with a CherryCola or two...or was it three? Thank God for free refills.

The husband and I shared the pounder. He expected it to be bigger! Love all the free toppings. My suggestion to the company would be to place all the toppings that are asked to be on the side, to be placed on one plate. Using all those individual plastic containers is killing the environment when they are thrown out. The service was wonderful. It was our first time trying this chain restaurant and the waitress patiently explained everything to us even during their busiest Friday night dinner hour. We did have to ask whether we could get our fries and onion rings after a long wait for the pounder which we were told would take some time. It would have been nice if they thought of giving us the fries ahead of the burger instead of us having to ask. I liked the onion rings more than the fries but there certainly wasn't anything wrong with the fries. Once the burger was brought to the table, I noticed the bun was a regular sized bun. If they're going to promote a pound of meat burger, they should invent a bun that covers it. Other than that, the burger was yummy. I ordered mine with provolone and the cheese just melted over the meat. Lovely piece of meat. The atmosphere was cute with that 50's diner vibe. Definitely worth another visit but not for a while. Do pay attention to the calories. Your entire meal is going to be completely fried unless you get the salad but then why are you going to a joint known for their burgers? If you are allergic to peanuts, do not set foot inside at all. Everything is cooked in "cholesterol free peanut oil."

What happen to this place? Different ownership? Wow... was definitly disappointed with the take out order. Been going to Cheesgurger Cheeseburger for over 8 years... In dinning and takeout. Burgers and pattymelt was so soggy, including the onion rings and fries. What happen to the takeout trays and the olives topped on the pattymelt? Will think twice before ordering again. Cutting down on costs, and raiseing the prices.

I went to Chee Chee every Friday for about four years and lived to tell the tale, so something must be good about this place...and those things are 1) the milkshakes, the best in the Rockville area, and 2) the onion rings. The burgers and the fries are just good, and even when I did the pounder back in the 2005-2006 timeframe (I don't remember exactly when, so you'll have to check the picture log to remind me for sure), I remember thinking "hmm, tasty, but not legendary." After a long layoff I went back here 11/21/2013 for lunch and thankfully, the onion rings and shakes are still money. The burger was better than I remember it...thanks to the calorie counts listed in the menu, Older and Wiser Justin can even make better choices. And the service was as fast and friendly as I remembered it would be. Thanks, Chee Chee!

Total garbage. Twenty one bucks for lunch for a burger with a shake and GREASY onion rings? Get real. Whose McMansion am I underwriting with my burger? Even Shake Shak in Manhattan doesn't cost so much. And they deliver quality and flavor every time. Later days

Wonderful server! [Rosa] Roomy but huge open space. Onion rings are that good. ["small" does serve 1-2 people fine.] Not huge batter rings! Real fries! Burgers are tasty & cooked well. There are tons of toppings! Ketchup & mustard are on table. Milkshakes are good. An 'Original"/whole is plenty big. Egg Cream is eh! It's syrup, milk & carbonated soda water [no egg.]

I CRUSHED the ONE lb burger. I could have probably ate another 1/2-1/3 pounder. I went with 2 friends and they got a pounder, and a semi serious (1/2 lb). We also got the loaded fries to go with the meal. I added a bunch of toppings to my pounder just about everything thats an actual item not a sauce. The burger was medium, very juicy and pretty good with all the toppings, i like sauteed onions on my burgers, but it was extra so I passed on it. I still like five guys and fruddruckers burgers, but this was just an impulsive visit, Chipotle was closed =( for a holiday party. Five guys fries are the best and well seasoned. The fries here were missing something they were a bit bland? not sure we had the loaded with chilli, sour cream, cheese and onions. But it was still missing something. I ate everything because thats the way I am. If you finish the pounder you get a free picture taken, we passed on it. Not sure if this would be my destination spot, things were a bit expensive. I'm sure the milkshakes are probably awesome but my diet doesn't allow me to drink milkshakes only alcohol.

We go here 4-6 times a year and you know exactly what to expect. Our daughter really likes it. We do the trivial pursuit questions while we wait for our food. Daughter gets her picture taken with the giant hamburger. Over the years we use this to gauge her growth over the years. Food is above average, staff is friendly.

Yeah I'm a fan... what.. Ok so I don't love burgers really... but if I have to get one, I like a burger with my choice of toppings and awesome fries that go along with it (which is probably why i like five guys). So this place gives you different sizes of burgers (up to a pound) and even choices of veggie or turkey burgers. Calm down, I got a real burger... but I'm just saying... I like that they have to choices. Sides include fries (yes, we ordered that) with your choice of different toppings, and onion rings the size of your fists. I'm sure there were more... just don't remember. The fries were ok, but add the seasoning they have on your table to make it awesome =). Then there were a bajillion flavored shakes which you can combine to make a bajillion more! I ordered the bananas foster shake and it was delish! Must try other shakes when I get the chance. Ok so the burger, I got the quarter pounder, done medium. Ok, this quarter pounder is probably double the size of a quarter pounder in McDs... and you can tell it's not processed but for real fresher ground meat. I got mine with tomato, lettuce, mushroom and bacon (duh)... and I must say it was pretty good! Pretty much devoured the whole thing and that's saying something since I'm not a burger person. So yeah, go here. It's pretty good =) If you're not a burger person.. get a smoothie from here at least... it was so tasty and thick but not too thick (it's not ice cream people!... though... I do love ice cream also...). Anyways... yes, go.

Decent burgers and good fries/onion rings. Patties are a little dry, and certainly no match for Fuddruckers.

It took us 10 minutes for a server to even notice we sat down at a table. We ordered everything at once and after 15 minutes we still didn't have our drinks. After that we asked for the food to be made to go. The food here is good but be prepared to wait.

Solid 4.5 Out of 5 Stars!! Who doesn't love the old style diners that serves Burgers, fries and Shakes. The only thing missing is the hot 50's style waitress, and for that I deduct you .5 stars!! The Burgers here are great. You can basically add anything you want onto it and get it as big as you want it.....Hahaha. Ok I know Im a child, all my reviews has some kind of sexual innuendo.....what can I say, I just always happen to patronize places where there is hidden sexual repression going on waiting to come in out in the form of customer reviews (ok mostly just my reviews). Anyways, the burgers are always good, and definitely filling. They have every combination of Milkshakes you can ask for. And if you are thinking about getting fries or onion rings with your meal. Be sure and get the Fires and Rings combo. Order the half size because that can easily feed 3-4 people. Who can forget about the pound challenge, and no this is not a biggest loser contest. Successfully eat a 1 pound burger and before you throw up, take a picture with a giant grimy old fake burger and get you picture put up on the wall of fame (Also Known As "The Society of Over Indulgent Food Consumption for Personal Glory and Fame). And yes I have done it. Make sure you don't fill yourself up because what awaits you next door is a place that serves fried circles of dough that are slathered with sugar and chocolate that will be sure to fully clog your arteries. I think they are called Krispy Kreme. Yum

Read my previous post for a breakdown of what to order. I came to an important realization. The most important thing about a burger place is... the burger. Is it well executed? Is it tasty? Is it cheap? Somehow Cheeburger ticks all those boxes. 2 regular (1/4 pound) hamburgers at 5 Guys = $11 and change. One delirious (3/4 pound) with cheese at Cheeburger = 10.06. Now, there's nothing wrong with 5 Guys at all. But the fact remains they only cook their burgers one way (well done) and that Cheeburger's meat is better quality (not to mention the cheese). Once I realized that I could get takeout from Cheeburger for the same price (I tend to leave a dollar tip b/c the staff actually recognize me) and get MOAR MEATZ I have basically stopped going to 5 Guys cold turkey. Oh, and do not ever get tomatoes on a cheeburger you're ordering to go... it turns the bottom bun into a soggy mess. Trust me on this one. Ask for them on the side if you must have

This is a great place for burgers and shakes. Been coming here for years. You can't beat all the free toppings you can order with your burger. Much better selection then 5 Guys or Burger Joint. Sure they still can't cook the burgers medium no matter how many times I've ordered it, but I overlook it when eating especially when it's loaded to the max with toppings. The shakes are great as well. Only reason I don't give it five stars is the fries have no seasoning. Make sure you add salt or their seasoning.

If you are a burger and milk shake person, this is a place to go. I liked the onion rings and milk shakes. Plenty of food for a reasonable price. Family friendly environment.

Is there 0 stars for service????e !!! Waited 45 min for a shake that I pre ordered online ! Then it was wrong , made my good cold. Why would you under staff yourself like this ! If there's more than 10 people inside this place doesn't function ! normally I love coming here, but who ever is in charge of staffing and scheduling should pay attention to Friday night Feb !st 2013 .

I have eaten here easily 50 times between dine in and carry out. These are bar none the best burgers in Rockville. I love the options, I can get a kids burger or a 1 pounder. I've had everything and its always cooked to order with whatever you want on top. Milk shakes are very good and have an ingredients list too long to mention. Just think if it's a flavor known to man they have it. Small fries order will suit two adults and they have Dr Pepper on the soda gun. Love this place

I don't eat meat, so immediately, burger joints make me nervous. I'm always pretty sure they cook my grilled cheese or veggie burgers on the same space as the meat, which I never enjoy. That being said, this place certainly has a fun "diner" feel to it, so coming here with a group of friends will be a good time. Order a malted chocolate coffee milkshake. You won't be disappointed! Onion Rings: YAY! *Crowd Cheers & does the wave* Fries: *Crickets churping* PS: Am I the only one that loves eating the onion in the onion ring first and THEN eating the tasty crunchy shell? Yum yum yum!

My experience with this location has been very different than my experiences with the location in Sterling, VA. Two nights ago, my girlfriend and I wanted some food so we made the mistake of coming here. It was a terrible experience as soon as we walked in the door...Upon walking up to the counter to make a takeout order, a server that was sitting down and flirting with the other co-worker stayed seated and asked if he could help me...I am not sure if I am getting old or not (I'm 27) but aren't waiters supposed to be standing at all times, or at least standing when they are taking orders and working? Well maybe its just me...Next, they continued while taking my order as if we were interrupting their conversation, and even better, the cashier was literally eating and drinking food from another restaurant in front of us. Finally, to cap off this terrible ordering experience, she threw the receipt at me. (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!) We waited nearly 30 minutes for an order of fries and 1 cheeseburger, and when we received our food, the server again tossed it on the counter and turned away without communicating or acknowledging that was my food... Now lets talk about this food, the burger looked like it had just ran a 10K marathon as it was soaked in grease and water. Who doesnt love a soggy burger? The burger was TERRIBLE...the fries were cold and overcooked. At least, Cheeburger Cheeburger can say that their food was better than their customer service because the service is just SO BAD!!! All in all, our experience was so unappealing that we threw our food away and went to Chipotle...I would recommend that all potential customers of Cheeburger Cheeburger do the same and eat some where else unless you want to be disrespected and charged for crappy food. It seems that this location has some extremely serious management issues....I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR SUPPORT CHEEBURGER CHEEBURGER!!!! THE RESTAURANT SO TRIFE, THEY NAMED IT TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best burger place around, hands down. I don't know how anyone can even compare them to Five Guys or even BGR- they aren't in the same league at all. Cheeburger has WAY more toppings including several types of cheese at no extra price, you can have your burger cooked however you want, a variety of appetizers including the best onion rings anywhere, and amazing shakes. Also try the grilled chicken sandwich- it's just as good as the burgers. We come here weekly and have never been disappointed. Great prices, friendly staff, awesome food.

Great change of pace from Five Guys and Fudderuckers. I really enjoyed my mushroom burger and the boyfriend's regulary burger was also well seasoned and cooked properly. Fries were okay, but everyone raves about the onion rings and there is good reason.

Love the ability to create your own burger and salad! Tons of salad toppings to choose from if you want to join your friends for lunch when they are NOT on a diet. Hard to not be tempted by the frings (onion rings/fries) basket and milkshakes but managed since the salad was awesome.

  • Beverly S.

My husband and I both love this place! I always get the chicken tenders, which are excellent. You get a nice sized basket full of 6 to 8 chicken tenders and their honey mustard sauce is a must. Most restaurants tend to make their honey mustard with more mustard than honey, but Cheeburger Cheeburger has an awesome creamy honey mustard that is a perfect mix of honey, mustard, and mayo. My husband always gets a burger and the meat is very flavorful. Onion rings and fries are great and their side salads are good as well. It's hard to go wrong here, I definitely recommend it.

My second visit to this place and it was great. Got the regular size burger with a ton of toppings. In my opinion this is a better burger than Five Guys. I prefer one nice large patty over two and it was very tasty. One small fries is def enough for two people. And the fries are great too. Fresh cut, best way to go. Will def follow up when I'm due for a burger, which is rare.

Not a fan of this place. I think it's overrated because the burgers aren't all that. You can tell that the meat's low quality and they're not that juicy. People come here basically just to finish their 1 lb burger. Trust me... almost every1 can beat this challenge, they're only big on the buns! The only thing I like from there is their frings - fries & onion rings. They taste pretty good if you eat them with Horse-radish sauce. Their milkshakes're pretty good. Bottom line: the burger aren't that good. Try Urban Burger - about the same price yet better.

My friend and I go here pretty much bi-weekly. The foods always good, and the shakes are AMAZING. The sugar free shakes are awesome despite being sugar free. Service is always fast and I've never had to wait for a table.

I just deleted my 4674 character draft of my tortured review of Cheeburger Cheeburger. It's burgers, fries and milkshakes - not sure how I somehow started ranting about Hamlet and the plight of the Emperor Penguin, but obviously, it was going nowhere fast. So let me start anew with as much breivity as I can muster: Burgers - decent and tasty. Has various sizes and a wealth of toppings. If you finish the 16oz burger, you get your pictures posted on the wall of shame - which I'm not really sure why it's such a big deal...I've scarfed down one of those burgers for a snack. But then, that's probably why I'm a fatty. Fries - decent but nothing overwhelming. Huge fan of the horseradish dipping sauce though! Onion Rings - YUM! Crispy and crunchy and thick and tasty! I usually get the half-and-half basket (half fries, half rings) because I can't eat a burger without fries - even mediocre ones. Milkshakes - I haven't had a milkshake for 8 years, until I came to Cheeburger. Not a fan of dairy, milk or ice cream...however they had a ton of flavors of milkshakes and well...they suckered me in. Still not a fan of dairy, milk or ice cream - but I've resigned myself to not being able to resist ordering milkshake from here, just because they have so many flavors that I'm sure that I'm bound to eventually find one that I will love. Service - attentive and prompt. Overall - tasty and decent if you want a burger and is in the area, but definitely not worth driving out of your way for.

    I liked it, but why did I pay $11 for a burger & shake. Kinda like five guys..probably liking five guys a bit more, but I'll give cheeburger another try before I rule it completely out. Shake:white chocolate & Oreo...still looking for authentic white chocolate in desserts. Ah well, another one bites the dust. Eat well~I guess:}

Loveeeeee their food, but service here is PAINFUL. It takes WAY too much effort to flag down a waiter/waitress for something as simple as a water-refill. Burgers are delicious, and combos are the best deal! I love the various sizes for the burgers, because my smallest burger is always just enough. I never leave feeling anything less than happy!

Yeah. I know. I could do without the hokey faux 1950s nonsense, but the onion rings are friggin awesome. The burgers are solid (I mean, we don't have In-n-Out or Holeman & Finch here, so what's a girl to do?) and the choice of fixings is great, but I come back for the onion rings. I'd wear them as jewelry if it were socially acceptable.

This place is very cute and the food is good. My problem is that my friend and I bought groupons and drove over an hour to get here with our daughters. When we arrived, it was explained that the each table can only use one groupon, even though we were two separate paying families. My daughter and I had to sit at a totally separate table from our friends in order to use the groupon. We were probably not going to drive an hour again to come back, but they would not bend the rule. The tip would have been the same, and in the end, it only hurt them, because one group of four took up two tables during a busy Saturday lunch hour.

Great place. Nice staff and fun atmosphere. Not only are the burgers and sides great, so is everything else on the menu. I never really liked onion rings until I tried the ones here, which are incredibly good. If you're not in the mood for a burger, the hotdogs (more accurately, cheedogs) in particular are also really good. My brother opts for the cheewraps instead of burgers and very much recommends them. Wish there were more options for dessert (if you're not in the mood for a shake or something ice cream related you're pretty much out of luck), but no complaints aside from that.

Love this place! Keith is the best waiter.... Others can be distracted and forget all about you... Management is great! Go for the turkey burger but don't forget the rings!!!

I really like the ambiance here: The classic 50's poodle skirt-like era. What really gets me are the milkshake choices. There are so many to choose from! So, it can be overwhelming. The burgers are okay, mainly because they have so many toppings to put on them (I'm pretty sure I saw peanut butter somewhere on that menu of toppings :-/ ) But to his their own, right? They do have the 1-pounder and if you finish it, you get to put your picture on the wall near the entrance of the restaurant. I once came here and had a basket of the onion rings with the dips. I really liked the cheese and the creamy jalapeno sauce. The garden one didn't really strike me as having much taste and I don't really like horseradish (but I'm sure if you do, you'll probably like it). The onion rings themselves were so crispy and crunchy. Hands down, the milkshakes and onion rings are pretty freakin' awesome here. Burger's just meh.

Since the untimely loss of Urban Burger Co, Cheeburger is a satisfying alternative. The bf and I always order one classic each (smallest size burger) and a half basket of frings. This amount of food is always MORE THAN ENOUGH. (I always leave the restaurant with that "Damn, I ate too much" belly ache...) The service is average... sometimes slow, sometimes fast... it's highly dependent on who is working and how many customers are around. We went last night to cash in on a living social voucher and we found the place to be PACKED. We waited 20 minutes for a 2-top which is strange for Cheeburger. I thought that the staff would fall apart with all the clientele but the manager was around to help out and--I swear--it was the BEST burger I've ever had in Cheeburger history! Maybe all they need is a little bit of pressure to speed up the business! :)

Move over 5 Guys- I'd rather have a Cheeburger in paradise. For Boss' Day- my employees bought me the 1 lb Cheeburger. I demolished it in under 10 min. Man vs Food- you ain't got nuthin on me!...ok well- yeah you do- I thought I was going to d-i-e...but I digress. Their burgers are juicy, moist, flavorful, and i love the selection of free toppings- its far more extensive than 5 guys. Their shakes are amazing- my favorite is mixing cherry, strawberry, and cheesecake. MMMMMM. Divine. There is a ton though, so I'd share or get the kiddie size. Try their ice cream sundae too- it's so beyond words. I don't really care for their onion rings- I think there isn't much onion flavor and the batter has no flavor- but it is crispy, but their jalapeno jelly dip is delicious- so I eat the rings as a conduit for getting that dip in my mouth. :p Their fries are way better than 5 guys- in my opinion. But then again I like light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you're a vinegar boardwalk fries kinda person- you're not gonna like these as much as 5 Guys.

I used to come here way too often for my own good during lunches with my best friend... always the onion rings or fring (fries & onion rings) combo. We get stuffed just from sharing a regular order of one of those. Only gripe is that it's a little too greasy compared to other joints - minus one star. Eating the frings makes my stomach churn sometimes because of this :( The burgers are the best I've had - I don't really like burgers and find 5 Guys only average, so I was really surprised that I finished the one I ordered. It's cooked with whatever toppings you want and the meat is juicy and full of flavor. It's also not small by any means. Does get a little messy to eat, but that's half the fun. LOVEEE the milkshakes. So many possibilities/combinations that I want to try them all, but so far I've only had the chocolate ones. All in all, it's very affordable and a fun atmosphere to go with friends or family. Very kid-friendly. Delicious, simple food made hot and fresh.

They have great burgers, very reasonably priced and the service is excellent! Went in today for carry out and left with a huge bag of food for $21! Onion rings are just like you would get at the fair, so good! Definitely a great "family" place and would be a really fun sit down place for kids.

  • J. B.

I usually love "specialty" burger places like this, where you get to pick your own burger and toppings, but this place wasn't really anything special. The burger was just ok, and the fries were horrible- REALLY greasy and soggy. I think it was a busy night for them, and it seemed like they didn't have enough help. Our waitress was impatient but not super rude, and also forgot things that we had asked for, twice. It took her 15 minutes just to give us straws that she had forgotten to give us in the first place. The only reason I would go back would be just for the shakes, they're pretty good.

    (2)
  • Donna Y.

This place actually makes me feel like a kid again. It's the kind of place where you can create your own burger, your own combination of sides, and variation of malt/milkshake. The burgers are only so-so to me but the malts/milkshakes are very good... then again how could you ever mess up a milkshake?!

    (3)
  • Jeff S.

Gimmicky and run of the mill. I felt like I was eating a Five Guys with waitresses. Service was slow at best, I think it took about 25-30 mins to get 3 orders. I know it's a burger place, but I got a portobello salad with a bunch of add in stuff like sun dried tomatoes, hot peppers, etc. Meh. Average at best. Probably not worth the $10 price. Also, and bear in mind I am not trying to be overly critical, but I tried some of the veggie burger they have and it tasted like something from Morningstar Farms. Not bad, but not really something I'd go back to again if I had a choice.

There used to be a Cheeburger Cheeburger right near my dorm freshman year in college (not really helpful for the freshman 15) which my roommates and I frequented for the milkshakes and fries. Unfortunately it's gone now but I occasionally get a craving. Everything is basically about "inventing your own"... whatever, so there's a ton of toppings (free of charge) for burgers and salads. The burgers are ok, but it's really the fries and the shakes that I like. The milkshakes are so freakin good, and they have a ton of different flavors.

    (3)
  • Evan H.

While it's been quite a while since I have been here, I think its safe to say their burger haven't changed much. As far as sit down burger joints go, this place is pretty good. The place they shine is the add-ons. Guacamole is FREE for your burger, not many places can say that. They offer a really nice range of sizes for burgers, while still offering turkey burgers etc. They have excellent fries and onion rings. Overall this place is good, but as others have said, the often overcook the burgers. I wish more places offered a nice RARE burger. If I see blood, im a happy guy.

This place rocks. Burgers without a doubt are solid, and the onion rings are some of the best i've ever had (and a lot less calories than the fries, if you're wondering). Great service, great shakes, and their handmade sodas with special syrup are fantastic, the best soda I've ever had. (favorites: cherry cola and vanilla cola). don't know too much about their other options (wraps, hot dogs, fish sandwiches, etc), but the classics are done well and done right.

This place is A-Ok. It's a decent restaurant where you can take your family, take a large group of people, or chow down a 1lb burger for your picture (which is really not that hard). Every time I've been here, service has been decent, nothing that would stand out negatively or positively. The best thing here is the onion rings, crispy and crunchy, just right. The burger is decent, but nothing spectacular. You can find better burgers at variety of other places, but hey it's a filler. Speaking of fillers, the milkshake is pretty good, and if you still got room after eating that 1lb burger, you'll surely get filled after the milkshake. Overall, this place is okay.

  • Mike C.

Was there just last big with the fam. Onion rings are definitely worth the return trip, and the burgers are quite good. Someone told me today that I need to try the chili dog (note to self).

  • Jonathan L.

This place has some good burgers. I like the fact that their beef has no additives, antibiotics or hormones. Which I think is kind of rare for a burger joint. They have many options for making your own burger which can make for a unique experience every time. I recommend this place if you've never been. Also, the milkshakes are quite good!

    (4)
  • Matthew D.

First time here and boy, this is now my fav place! Service was great, the food was just wonderful! Food cooked perfect, so many options on the food and drinks...and the shakes were just great! You have, no, you must stop here...it's just THAT good!

WTOP's "Best of WTOP" poll recently said that Cheeburger Cheeburger bested out Five Guys (and other burger joints) as the best hamburger in the DC Metro area. ( wtop.com/?sid=1980598&ni… ) I was sure surprised. The burgers here are pretty good - think of it as a less greasy, more expensive Five Guys burger that comes in a nice little basket, and with a nice little olive on top of your burger (pinned down with a toothpick). The shakes are good (and filling), and the place is definitely kitschy. Oh, even though I said that their burgers are less greasy, that may just be my observation. I think they slather their buns in butter to toast them up. Butter = delicious, right yelpers? So, if you want a burger and you want to sit down and look at kitschy 50's memorobilia on walls, go to Cheeburger Cheeburger. (Order the frings! It's enough for 2-3 people)

    (4)
  • Cassie C.

This is a fun place. You can make your own burger. The burgers are just average, though. The onion rings are excellent. Prices are a little high for what you get. Service tends to be on the slow side.

Been coming to Cheeburger for YEARSSSSS since they first opened, so I will give a down and dirty review. The Good: +The interior is a pretty cute and kitschy 50s theme. +If you get antsy waiting for your order to come out, you can play Trivial Pursuit with your tablemates. +The beverages, both in taste and selection. You can choose milkshakes, malt shakes, italian sodas (you can choose to mix and match flavors), flavored iced teas, flavored lemonades, and much more. +The horseradish sauce, which is the best thing to dip your... +The onion rings. Best food item on the menu. Skip: -The fries. -The burgers. Sorry gotta keep it real. Their burgers are dece (decent) at best. Haven't been here in months due to my last visit here. Our server was purposefully inattentive and rude to our table, but was affable, genuine, and funny with every table around ours - literally. Needless to say, any type of unwarranted behavior such as this, especially when you're in the SERVICE INDUSTRY, is unacceptable.

  • Grant L.

Cheeburger is probably the best burger in the area. They have a nice kitschy/charming 50's decor, right down to the segregated bathrooms and water fountains (j/k) and terrific food. The staff is really welcoming and warm (I guess some things were better in the 50's). There is an unbelievable array of toppings and combinations for your burger right down to peanut butter (wtf?!) and seriously awesome milkshakes. The french fries and onion rings are well-seasoned and delightful. The only downside to this place is the wait time. I know their policy is that the burgers are cooked to order, but come on, a burger should not take 30 minutes to cook. We got there once when it was almost empty and it STILL took almost half an hour to get our food. If you're coming here for lunch, do expect to be there for about 90 minutes under normal operations. It is a little ridiculous.

Total throw back diner experience with the awesome crooner tunes to prove it! I haven't been to this place in almost six years. Don't ask me why. I obviously forgot how fun the environment is and how great the food is. Now that I think about it... what a shame! This is the place to go when you want a burger. Truth be told... I tend to frequent five guys whenever I get that craving. But NO MORE. Sorry Five guys... I'm not breaking up with you permanently. I just need some time apart. Know that I love you. Back to my current fling with Chee... I pounded a classic burger with real bacon, melted pepper jack cheese, crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and crunchy raw onions slathered in good old fashioned ketchup and mustard. It that weren't enough, I slurped down a classic regular size vanilla shake just to let them know who was in charge. Oh I'm paying for it now. My husband has moved to the other side of the room... know what I'm saying? Anyway, I don't know how many of the Chee Burgers are around, but it doesn't matter. Put on your big girl and big boy pants, grab a table, and tell me about it on yelp. We'll trade victory stories.

Average burger. Got a classic burger with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, bacon, jalapeño. The meat didn't taste as good. The cookie dough shake was good.

Just went here this afternoon and had to wait 10 minutes during the lunch rush (12:30). I overlooked the tables and saw everybody either ordering a burger or a shake with fries. I chose to follow this suit. Once seated the waitress came over quickly, and we already knew what we wanted. I ordered the smallest burger, the classic ($5.69) and my cousin ordered the serious for $7.95. I also ordered a milkshake which I took more than half home because it was way too sweet (thanks strawberry syrup). The combination also included maple walnut and gingerbread cookie dough, which I couldnt taste because of the sweet syrup which overwhelmed the shake. When the burgers arrived 10 minutes later, I was delighted to eat it. The bun tasted great and the burger itself with the best combination in the world of peanut butter, chopped garlic, lettuce, and tomato was amazing. I enjoyed every minute of it while it lasted. So what if the burger wasnt cooked a perfect medium it was still pretty juicy.

The problem with this place is you need to practice self-restraint in order to have a good burger. If Americans were good at self-restraint, we wouldn't have an obesity problem. There are 25 toppings that you can choose from. I always choose everything I like, in which case I discover combinations that are gross (horseradish sauce + guacamole = soggy mess) and the many toppings overwhelm the burger. Lets' see, time to get math-a-licious. 25 toppings and 5 different cheeses to choose from means (25! *5) = 7.8 *10^25 combinations. Even if you don't like 10 of the toppings and always require 5 (lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickle, mayonnaise), that still leaves you with (10! * 5) = 18 million combinations to choose from. That's wayyy too many burgers in a lifetime and there are other decent restaurants to go to that will give you the right combinations (TGIF's, Red Robin). Don't get me wrong, I'm all about freedom of choice and variety, but when I'm holding a limp soggy mess of a burger, the simpler places like Five Guys look more attractive to me.

  • John K.

Not the best, but a good choice if you're looking for a little variety. If you're sick of Five Guys, if you're sick of Fuddruckers, if you're sick of the standard Ruby Tuesday/Friday's burgers, then give Cheeburger Cheeburger a shot. Although the the burgers average to about $6, once you get fries and a drink, it ends up being a pretty pricey meal... The burger (although ordered medium) was cooked brown, brown, brown. No red in sight. They also have the 1lb burger "challenge" where you get your picture taken if you finish it, but I think they're running out of wall space, because even if you're 1/2 of a man, you can finish it. One piece of advice though, definitely recommend the onion rings over the fries.

Get the Fringe Basket! Some of the best onion rings ever! Love that you can get a combo basket of fries and rings so you don't have to order two different greasy sides. Their milkshake list is pretty extensive, and all the ones I have tried have been fantastic. You can get a burger any way you want it, and in every different size! I can't handle anything bigger than the classic! The service varies, but usually it is pretty great and they usually have a big smile on their face, which is always a pleasure. This is definitely a great family place, and I used to love going to Cheeburger Cheeburger after soccer games. It's worth trying... so TRY IT!

Sad sad day..... I thought it was time to do an update for this resturant and I must say that this place has changed since the first time I visited. I came here two days ago and walked in and stood there waiting to be seated. The hostess had their back towards the door and not a friendly customer service attitude when he greeted me. He sat us down at a table in the back and told us our waitress would be with us in a few. Ok..... being that the place seemed empty, I figured we would be seen within seconds. (Boy was I completely wrong) it took so long for someone to come take our drink order, that we just got up and left. I came back that next saturday just to get a shake to go (which they totally screwed up my order) and the place looked so trashy and dirty. What happened? Trash and food all over the floor. This sucks if this is the outcome of hiring teens to pay them less and not give them the proper training. I would say if you need some tips on customer service, go to MOMS market or even Sheba resturant. Very disappointed. I will try to go back in a few months or so to have an update. Lets cross our fingers and hope that things have turned around for the better.

Ok. I hate Five Guys b/c they are too greasy, I hate McDonalds b/c of the obvious, and I'm not a big fan of Johnny Rockets. It just tastes greasy and nasty to me. Cheeburger Cheeburger makes a VERY tasty burger. They have tons of fixings and it's all fresh. Even the avocado. The burger itself is flavorful, NOT greasy, and generously proportioned. This is probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. They also have a bajillion different shake flavors. My fav is the Heath bar milkshake. And whatever you do, DO NOT forget to try the onions rings. I'm salivating just thinking about them.

I'm a big hamburger guy--there's nothing like the taste of a juicy burger loaded with delicious toppings. When I'm in Cleveland, I'm lucky enough to have Iron Chef Michael Symon's B Spot less than 30 minutes from my home. However, my burger cravings don't go away when I go out of town...fortunately, when I'm in the DC area, this place fits my burger needs just fine. (I have noticed that they have opened up one of these in Cleveland's airport, but eating one of these while checking my watch every five minutes to make sure I'm not going to miss my flight doesn't seem like a very enjoyable experience.) This place is great because it offers VARIETY! There are tons of toppings and they don't charge per topping, which means I can load up my burger with a little bit of everything. I like to order jalapenos and mitigate their impact with sauces and other toppings--this means that I still get the kick, but I can actually enjoy the rest of my meal =P Additionally, the variety of milkshake flavors is impressive too. The place is like a 50's diner, fun and enjoyable. Prices are pretty reasonable, and portion sizes are really big too. What's not to like?

One of the best burgers I've had in the DC area! All of our burgers were cooked as ordered and the variety of toppings is excellent. The fries were great- definitely above average and the shake I had was delicious. Portions on fries and shakes are pretty generous so I'll be sticking to the smaller sizes. Service was very friendly and attentive. I love that their meat is better quality and would love to see some options like whole wheat buns and organic veggies. This place has a fun atmosphere- great place to go with friends.

This burger spot is great. I have not had a cheeseburger in sometime with while I manager my weight loss but I could not help myself after I had a long time to wait between inspections. The service was good, the greeter took her time and asked me first if I had ever been there and after I said no she explained the menu to me which I thought was very nice. I ordered a "Serious burger" 1/2 pound with fries and a small strawberry milkshake and water. I usually do not have milkshakes but felt it was important to treat myself. The water came out first in a cute little glass then soon after the strawberry shake came which I gobbled down quickly because it was so good and think. Approximately 6 to 8 minutes later the main course came out. I did not feel I waited too long and it came out just in time. I ordered the burger medium and it came out slightly medium well but it still was tender but a little dry. It did taste very good though and the pepper jack cheese added the spice it needed because the burger itself was not seasoned. The fries were fresh and appears not to be frozen but homemade. Overall I had a great lunch and would definitely go back. The total price tag was $14.17 and I gave a good tip because the server Angela was good.

From start to finish the meal was quite fatty and heavy, yet very satisfying. Their fries and onion rings are not the best I've had, but at least come at a surprisingly small price. We (a family) ordered a regular basket of the mixed rings and fries (about $5) and couldn't finish them by the end of our meal. Their sauces catch your eye because they actually cost money; but other than their horseradish sauce the rest aren't worth trying. One issue I had was deciding exactly what I want on my burger; with so many choices of free toppings and sauces it is easy to make a confusing-tasting burger. Like any make-your-own burger this one was messy but worthwhile if made right. Lastly, their milkshakes are to die for. It hits the right spot after a greasy meal. They boast the possibility of over 380,000 or so milkshake combination, which in my opinion made it extremely hard to decide what would go in mine; Heath bar, smores, and caramel is delicious by the way.

It isn't as though I was expecting culinary excellence, considering the name, but I do expect for people to at least keep their body hair out of my food. This expectation was not met. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was completely uninspired, and as I was picking it apart, which is a nasty habit I have with my sandwichs, I happened to flip open the top of the sandwich and find an insouciant curly black hair looking up at me. It did not look like a head hair. Or a chest hair. Or an arm or leg hair. I'll let you be the judge. I thought I was going to blow my cookies, which would have been a real shame as my only nutrition so far that day was one of their admittedly excellent milkshakes, but I managed to reign it in. We called the waitron over and she comped my sandwich, offered me another, which I declined, but charged me for the milkshake. I am not such a cheapskate that I mind paying 4$ for a milkshake, but I just think that after the trauma I endured at the hands of that hair that I should have gotten a free meal. My friend was happy with her burger, until I found the hair, at which point she stopped eating out of fear. I'm sure this was a one time, big accident sort of situation, but I'll never go back.

It's no Five Guys. Not that there's anything wrong with Five Guys! Cheeburger Cheeburger does the 50's diner style (with way too many milk shake flavors) pretty well--even though I did not come along until the 60's. It's a bit "Silver Dinerish" with "Five Guysish" (but less greasy) food... only more options, plus salads. The "Frings" (patter of French Fries and Onion Rings) are a must. The "Serious" burger is just what it's named. Get that if you are hungry. Many cheese and toppings options can be overwhelming as opposed to Five Guys. It's not such a simple ordering process at CBCB, but it's worth the effort. Service is fantastic. So is carry out. I called and ordered a "Serious" and a chocolate malt over the weekend while driving toward this location and "Brittany" told me it would be ready in about 12 minutes (it takes time to cook that big of a burger). I got there in less than 12 minutes, but was in my car with my food 13 minutes after making that call. I also went with a large group recently and received excellent service from "Mel" who also waited on me when I was there by myself a while back and I got very similar (excellent) service that time as well.

** 2.5 Stars ** What makes a good cheeseburger delicious? I'm sure everyone's criteria is different but I'd like to go out on a limb here and use the following list: * Juiciness - The burger must be juicy and not dry * Flavor - Great flavor tasting of fresh meat * Cooked to Order - Cooked exactly the way you asked (Rare, Medium, Well Done) How well did Cheeburger Cheeburger satisfy the above requirements? Unfortunately it missed all the marks. The burger I ordered cooked "medium" was a cooked to a "well done" making it very very dry and lacking any flavor. The taste of the meat was okay, but didn't taste fresh...honestly it tasted as if it had been frozen for quite a while which may have also contributed to the lack of juice and flavor. The interesting part of my experience at Cheeburger Cheeburger is that everyone at our table ordered their burgers with different cooked to orders; the wife ordered Medium Well, our friend ordered Medium and I ordered Medium. All three burgers were EXACTLY the same cooked to a "Well Done" level and lacking any juice. To us first time visitors of Cheeburger Cheeburger, it appeared as if they tried to hide this fact by offering unlimited topping ranging from the regular tomato and lettuce to the more adventurous Guac, Jalapenos and horseradish. The toppings list will blow your mind as it's quite an impressive list but only serves to hide the dryness of your burger as most true burger connoisseurs will not get that true meat experience. For those of you (such as myself) that LOVE french fries and onion rings, the portions served at Cheeburger Cheeburger are quite generous and the flavor of both are quite good. I was also happy with my mango flavored Ice Tea as they offer a variety of flavored ice teas and lemonades. For the money we paid, I shouldn't really complain but I'd rather take my burger business to Five Guys, Fuddrucker's or Red Robin. After hearing so much about Cheeburger Cheeburger, I'm sad to say I'm quite disappointed and will not return. By the way, I figured out from this visit why you won't find an "S" and "E" in the Cheeburger Cheeburger name. Because you won't find a "Satisfying Experience" at this cheeseburger place...

I love this place! Best veggie burger around. Recommended to me by another Vegetarian and I was so happy to check it out. Tastes like a real grilled burger, not just a mix of veggies pressed into a patty. My elementary school kids and husband all like it (they are carnivores). Everyone can pick a unique milkshake from literally 50 combinations at least. I like the flavored teas in pint jars, a nice old fashioned touch. We have fun with the Trivial Pursuit cards on the table while we wait. The only day anything happened there that simply wasn't our style was when a barbershop quartet was singing and we couldn't talk. We used to go once a week on the way home from an appointment and have my husband meet us there. Nice new strip mall. Great for a family. Consistently enjoyable. Look forward to going again.

The onion rings are pretty much the reason I come here. I haven't had a burger here yet, but I've tried them at a different location and they were abit too greasy for my liking; I usually stick with a grilled cheese sandwich now. The grilled cheese is a pretty big sandwich (on round bread!), but the past 2 times I've gotten it, the crust has been severely charcoaled. Try the vanilla cola as a drink, it hits the spot!

She Said..." so the burgers are okay, not too greasy and not too big. I like the onion rings the best and the milkshakes. I am usually not a fan of chocolate but we got the chocolate milkshake and it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular about this place other than the design of it. Although, if you eat the biggest burger on the menu you can get your picture taken on the wall." He Said.." Yea the burgers tasted like regular meat patties, they are as plain as Samatha Brown on the Travel Channel. The place does look like a an old diner and has a good "hang out" feeling. But the food just doesn't have that taste that makes your mouth crave more food. The onion rings were good, the shake was...ehh..average. This place overall was just average. So you if you want a 6 dollar burger that tastes okay go here...if you want a 6 dollar burger at half the cost with taste go to Hardees..."

Food was overpriced. If this had been a cheap dive, I would have enjoyed it more. But at $23 for two people, I have higher expectations for a burger. We probably would have been happier to go to Wendy's. The onion rings were the saving grace--clearly hand battered.

Yummo! Their onion rings are out of this world! Clearly made to order, insanely seasoned, and near heavenly (cardiologist here I come!) I had a porto mushroom sandwich to lesson the onion ring damage and it was equally as tasty. I love the insane 23 condiments offered on the sandwich. Service is good; folks, this is not a uber classy joint and it doesn't pretend to be. Good, solid food that is very predictable. Nothing wrong with that at all!! I'll definitely be back....after some gym sessions to work off the goodness!!!

Last day to use a voucher, no power at home. Time to hunt down Cheeburger off Shady Grove in the Fallsmead shopping center. Its like stepping back in time to Hot Shoppes. Fifties soda shop decor and overwhelmed teen servers hustled the crowds with good humor. We had their Superior burgers with lots of fixings. Hand made burgers were so loosely packed that mine fell apart in my bun as I ravaged it ising 3 paper towels with the roll on the table. Hose salads were larger and better than expected. Had the huge onion ring with great horseradish sauce. I liked the sauce better than the rings. I didnt like the batter myself. Since tjey had lost power and their ice cream a couple days ago, they were out of the no sugar ice cream for my milkshake, so I continued my path to perdition with a real chocolate shake. Boy they are good. Now I have a great stop across from the SG hospital and better than Five Guys IMO.

It's a fun restaurant you can order whatever you want on the burger kinda like five guys but it looks like a johnny rocket and they serve yummmy milkshakes! I love the chocolate ice cream with banana shake! Since I am so lame I always order the smallest burger there. The fries and onion ring basket is very good! It's a fun place for children they get to have their polaroids taken if they ate the 1/2 lb burger??? Not sure the size.

Burger #59: Variety is King I can't believe I found the same location I went to! Cheeseburger Cheeseburger has what so many California burger shops are missing; a bazillion kinds of milkshakes! Not only do they have countless flavors, they encourage you to mix them to create your own blend. Here's what they offer: Almond Almond Joy Amaretto Apple Apple Pie Banana Banana Foster Berry Berry Birthday Cake Black & Blue Black & White Blackberry Blueberry Blueberry Cheesecake Blueberry Pie Brownie Batter Butterscotch Caramel Caribbean Rum Cheesecake Cherry Cherry Cheesecake Chocolate Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Chocolate Cherry Chocolate Covered Banana Chocolate Covered Pretzel Chocolate Peanut Butter Cinnamon Cinnamon Bun Coconut Coconut Cream Pie Coffee Cookie Dough Creamsicle Double Chocolate Green Mint Hazelnut Heath Bar Irish Cream Key Lime Pie Kiwi Kiwi Strawberry M & M Macadamia Nut Mango Mango Kiwi Marshmallow Mocha Mounds Mud Pie Neapolitan Oreo Oreo Cheesecake Oreo Green Mint Peach Peanut Butter Peanut Butter & Jelly Peanut Butter Cup Pina Colada Pineapple Pistachio Raspberry Reese's Pieces Root Beer Shake of the Day S'mores Snickers Strawberry Strawberry Banana Strawberry Cheesecake Swiss Chocolate Vanilla Watermelon White Chocolate Along with that, they also have a huge variety of toppings for your burger and fun filled sauces for your fires. The burger itself was good, not great but good. I got the pounder and had a pleasurable time with it. They also feature a 20oz burger that if you finish, they'll take your picture and slap it on the wall. I was young and foolish back then and opted to not eat their biggest burger. Oh well. Next time I'm in Rockville.

After an extended happy hour in DC we got the bright idea that we needed Cheeburger Cheeburger... and had time to sober up on the metro then car ride over! The frings (an order of fries and onion rings, for when you just can't make up your mind!) were quite amazing, probably the best onion rings I've ever had. They were closing like 10 minutes after we got there, but they served us none the less, though a bit hurriedly (one star off for that). Though its customer to end the meal with shakes, we had to order them all at once and they came out before the food. So my gingerbread cookie dough shake was consumed before my burger and frings... The shake was quite good, but a bit boring, I didn't taste the gingerbread at all, only the cookie dough. But where this place is supposed to shine is their burgers... and I think I went a little over the top on mine, the deal is you chose your size (I went with the 1/3 pound) and your cheese (I went with the spicy cheddar) and then you choose from a list of like 20 toppings (all free!) (I chose the lettuce, onions tomato, jalapeos, garlic, and roasted red peppers). And the verdict: I wasn't totally impressed by the burger, all the toppings are cool, but that doesn't make up for the beef not having the best flavor. It was a good on the verge of great burger. So 4 star burger with 2 star service, gets an overall 3 stars, I'd even give them 3 1/2 if I could.

My friend took me here to get a shake after eating at Five Guys. What kind of classic burger joint doesn't have shakes!!! Thank goodness Cheeburger Cheeburger saved me from being deprived and it was super cute with it's 50's diner vibe. I got the Chocolate Banana Peanut shake. Oh my, so goood! My friend got the banana split and it was also very yummy too. There were chucks of banana in it, not no powdered crap like some wack places that don't knows what's up. I know this is an unfair review because I didn't even eat a burger here, but dude they have a one pound burger!! Moreover, if you eat it all you get your picture taken and put on the wall of fame. I live for that kind of ish. I almost disowned my friend when I first walked into there and found out about it. She took me to Five Guy's over here??!?!?! How could she forget about the 1 pound burger challenge!! I was still up for it even though I had an everything cheeseburger at Five Guy's, but she wouldn't let me because we were on a time crunch to get me to the airport. 1 pound burger, you will be mine. One day. Be expecting an update folks!!

Gotta say, I will not be returning and it was not that it was a bad place, it was simply expensive for what it is, had a long wait and was not that tasty. I wanted a burger and was not feeling 5 guys so tried this place. After doing the math, figured that a platter was less expensive than getting everything separate. I love onion rings and I love horseradish so you think this place would be made in heaven for me, but NO. First of all, had to sit down, figure out the menu, and then order and then wait, and wait and wait. Finally I got my salad which was the only thing I ended up liking (it was fresh). Then came my burger with fries, sauteed onions, onion rings and horse radish sauce. First the burger, kudos to them for having quality meat (not quite free range, but no antibiotics etc) but it was not the tastiest burger meat that I have had and the texture was not as smooth. Plus, I ordered the chipotle mayonaise and could not taste it. Also, could not pick up that darn thing without it falling apart on me. It was tasteless and hard to eat. Ended up using ketchup to make it have some taste. Onion rings were just too greasy for me. Great batter but just too heavy. The sauteed onions were sitting in juices and did not have any taste that I could discern. The horseradish sauce reminded me of cocktail sauce. I was expecting something more spicy and bit less like something I would dip shrimp into. Overall, I spent a lot of money on a lunch that ended up being quite a splurge if you include tip and did not feel the quality lived up to the price. Dont think I will ever be returning hence the 2 stars. To be fair, it was not terrible and the service was nice otherwise, I would give 1 star.

Was not impressed when I went here. The atmosphere looked good and it was bright. It was busy, so it took a while for the waitress to come over and for the food to arrive. Got the normal burger and some onion rings. The burger was mediocre at best and the same for the onion rings...not even close to the quality at Five Guys and more on par with fast food. A disappointment for me.

A burger franchise and a diner walk into each other at a bar... It's kind of like that. It has all the feel of a 50's diner, a burger franchise and well, it's a little hokey...sure, but unlike a diner or a chain (and this is still a franchise)...it has a nostalgia feel that's a little of a throwback in a good way. Food: Burgers, fries, malts. The uniequivocal standards of a burger joint, but a little more on steriods. Why? You have the classic 5 oz to a whopping one pound burger...and yes, if you complete it..you can get a picture taken...Adam Richman would be so proud. The burgers are 100% Angus beef. The meat/fat ratio is about 75/25 which means that you're going to get a juicier and slightly greasier burger. It's a toppings galore fest here so have fun. The Chicken sandwiches are ok...it's an alternative. The salads...ask for the dressing on the side. The greens can be a little wilty here from time to time. The Fries/Onion rings can be incredible here. I wish it were a little more consistent, but you can get a half and half platter of fries/rings. But nice thick cut. Malts/Shakes...well, apart from going to oh, shall we say B&J (those cool cats from up north) you're not going to find a bigger collection of possible combinations that you can do yourself...and yes, you still get it served in the steel cup with extras. Service/Staff: Well, this is where I wish that they did adhere to more of the nostalgia and service of yesteryear. There's a lot of teens in there. It's not bad...but, it's not great either. Price: moderate to low. It's a good value. Return rate: I have to be in the mood, but i'll be back. Bottom line: The food is good. The burgers could be better...But, you actually kind of come here because...it's a nice hangout for younger kids and adults and it can be cheap eats. You come here to be Marty McFly for a little bit before you have to go back to the future.

We had the chicken sandwiches. I really liked that there was a large assortment of toppings to choose from. The sandwich was good, but didn't give it 5 stars because I could have made the same thing on the grill at home. Fries and onion rings were good, also. The staff there was somewhat annoying though. They were goofing off and just hanging out the whole time. Our waitress was sweet, but took her quite awhile to refill our waters because she was busy chatting it up with the other workers, and the others were immature enough that it was distracting.

Years ago, I accepted a two 20 oz challenge from a man twice my size. I am not joking he was about 15 lbs shy of doubling my weight. I lost the challenge and proceeded to never eat here again. Not becuase I lost, because the burger patty has no taste. Not seasoned, or mixed with other ingredients, just a plain beef slab. This design flaw was reaffirmed yesterday, we picked up a few 20 ozers to create our own burger platter. I would rather drive to clearfield PA, and visit denny's for my next big burger.

I'm not sure why previous reviews have compared Cheeburger Cheeburger to 5-guys since 5-guys has some of the worst burgers I've ever tasted. I'd rather say that Cheeburger Cheeburger is more on par with restaurants like Red Robin or any major chain like Cheesecake Factory or TGIF claiming to have real burgers. Everything about Cheeburger Cheeburger is great! the portions are HUGE, the burgers are wonderful and flavorful with a bevy of topping available and everything is made to order. Not a big fan of their shakes, it's just a basic generic shake with some flavor added, but their salads are great, their fries are spectacular, their salads are great, etc... Of course what we're really talking about here are burgers and, hands down, this is the best, most reasonably priced, burger available at any restaurant I've ever been to... possibly in the whole country. The bottom line is if you want a really good burger, don't even consider another place, just go to Cheeburger Cheeburger!

This Cheeburger (in Shady Grove/Rockville) made me super at home for my first visit here ever! I got the menu explained to me (overwhelming a bit for a newbie) and was able to order pretty quickly. If you go to this location though, come a bit early if you want to avoid a line. This shopping center gets really crowded at odd times. They have a milkshake of the day/week and today it was cinnamon cheecake. GOD it was good! Worth the 1 lb I put on at lunch. Also, the cheeseburgers are not greasy! 5 guys is tasty, but you might as well put a greasy spoon in your mouth- same effect. Cheeburger was not greasy, the onion rings were crisp and perfectly done. You have a selection of sauces to choose from for everything. Toppings all over the place! Add what you like. It's like what Burger King wanted to become but couldn't. This place really is have it your way. And~ this one had a life sized Speed Racer cutout on the back door. I enjoyed looking at that while I ate my meal. ;p I'll go back in a heartbeat!

This was a great hamburger cooked to an exact medium rare. So many places over cook a medium rare order. The onion rings were equally fantastic. Service was very good. The only thing i would change is not to have a wait staff and just walk up and order. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for a good hamburger.

good (but greasy) burgers, a gazillion different types of shakes, tasty fries. service was really friendly too! highlight: i tried out the chocolate peanut butter banana milkshake, and was surprised but how good it was. normally, those flavors overpower all other flavors. however, the combination of these 3 flavors came out equally strong in this milkshake. YUM. my companion got the cookies and cream milkshake which had bits of cookie in it.

Yes, the food is unhealthy, but once and a while I love throwing their food down my throat. You can't go wrong with their burgers, they are big, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The onion rings are some of the best I have had anywhere and there is a large variety of soda flavors and shake flavors to go with all the grease. This place is usually packed with families so i go a little later in the evening to try and avoid a wait. Service has always been good too, which is another plus.

I'm definitely a fan of cheeburger and try to make it there for lunch every week or two. Consistently good griddle burgers, even if they overcook them a bit sometimes. They use a Kaiser roll which is a plus in my opinion. Also, there are a lot of toppings to choose from, but some will cost you (e.g. bacon, sautéed onions, etc.). The patties are often misshaped suggesting they actually hand form them. The onion rings and fries are good as well but the shakes are awesome. The service is hit or miss but the burgers usually make up for it. Parking can be difficult during the lunch rush.

The burgers don't taste that great. They don't seem to put any kind of seasoning on them. The toppings you can get on them are desent. The fries and onion rings are good. Shakes are always good. The prices are a bit high for quality of food, but not terrible. Service is friendly. If I'm in the area I might go here, but it's defanantly on my restaurants to go out to eat at list. I like Fuddruckers and Five Guys better.

Burgers
